I love The Twist! They are always family friendly and they have new owners! What does that mean for you? Open 7 days a week til 10:00pm! They will also be open year round instead of seasonally. We had 3 single scoop waffle cones for $10....HUGE SCOOPS!! This is a visit every night kind of place!
Exceptional ice cream! The quality of the icecream alone is amazing! The flavored are fun too! Must come back!
We love this place! We've gone 3 out of the 4 nights we've been here so far! The ice cream is great and they have gelato too. My mom loves the rocky road. I've had three flavors and I loved them all. My dad liked his raspberry gelato as well. The staff is really nice. We'll probably be back soon!

Alphy’s Catfish House

Reviews:
What a delightful surprise to discover Alphy's for breakfast. We are from out of town and we come to Navarre several times a year to enjoy the beach and golf. My fiancé is not big on breakfast unless it is Panera Bread. Needless to say we hardly ever went out to breakfast while visiting here in Navarre. Finally got him to "live on the edge" and try something new. I chose Alphy's because of the yelp reviews and had also previously noticed a lot of cars in the parking lot. From the minute we walked in the door I knew it was a good choice. The staff was very nice and service was great! I had 2 eggs over medium which were cooked exactly as I ordered and the bacon was delicious. Also had grits and biscuit which were good. My fiancées pecan pancake was very tasty as were his crispy golden hash browns and Spanish omelette. We will definitely be back to try out the lunch menu. The only disappointment is that they don't serve dinner. So happy to have tried something new and we both enjoyed it very much!
Good was good. Nothing exceptional. If we were ever back in Navarre we would probably come back. The cinnamon roll hot cakes were good which is why we tried it to begin with. Like the mom and pop place that isn't all touristy!
Our first experience at Alphy's we came in for breakfast at 10:36. Ms Phyllis (hopefully that's spelled correctly) politely let us know the kitchen was flipping to lunch. We were devastated, and considered leaving. I'm so glad we stayed! For lunch we had fried shrimp and oysters, with sides of grits and hush puppies. The service was incredibly quick and friendly and soon we were eating. Then disaster struck. My friend's baby started crying and she stood up, preparing to take him outside for a walk and to leave her freshly fried shrimp behind. Out of nowhere Ms. Phyllis appears. She takes Julian (the baby) and watches him while we finish our meal. Turns out she's raised seven kids and he happily tours the room with her as she chats and refills coffee until we have paid out and are ready to leave. Naturally we came back for breakfast the next day. I had eggs Benedict and a blueberry pancake (yes two meals -- I had to) while my friend had a classic plate of eggs, grits, and bacon. This time Julian slept, which actually disappointed Ms Phyllis who was hoping for more baby time. This is a great spot for travelers and locals. It's been open for 45 years and the food is homemade. Y'all check it.

My sandwich here was very good. The bread was very fresh and tasty. It did take a little longer than I expected but a great experience near the navarre bridge.
Their hot Reuben is served with generous portions of corned beef. Ditto on the cheese. Here is the kicker to this place...potato salad and pasta salad both are worth the trip! Very polite staff and worth the time and money.
Had the Bahn Mi Hero yesterday!!! Incredible subs. Glad I found it.

The onion rings smell and taste like they fell right out of onion ring heaven. I think about them every time I pass by tops. My co workers are always getting tops burgers and rings.... I am alway so jealous until they share:)
Very affordable fresh burgers! I've had the cheese fries and they are yumm, too. I love the bacon cheeseburger! So. Good. Customer service in the drive through is..meh.
Surprisingly a good burger at a great price, its definitely a great 2nd choice compared to five guys in this area! Very reasonable price items. Fast service and fresh & hot fries. Overall a great small burger joint!

I love this place. It's fast and healthy. They will also customize my rice for me. I like extra bean sprouts:) The owner is pleasant and seems to care very much about her restaurant. The spring rolls are very tasty as well. I highly recommend for a quick inexpensive lunch in the area!
This is a great and inexpensive way to enjoy fresh hibachi. I've been a local patron for many years and the quality never diminishes.
Small menu but good for what they offer. I ordered the Hachi Special entree. Made to order. Delicious. Came with a small side salad with that yummy ginger dressing on top. The server was polite and prompt. I'd defiantly go back for some hangover food or for a quick bite.

Good food, great server! I wish the chips weren't out of a bag, it would be so much better if they were made to order! Also, there was no music so the busy dining room felt like a cafeteria. I would go back to try it again, the chicken tortilla soup was delicious and my husband enjoyed his entrée!
This place was decent! It had a more upscale feel than most Mexican restaurants, but I thought it made for a nice dining experience. The queso dip was pretty bland unfortunately, and the salsa wasn't anything to rave about. All of us got chimichangas which were huge and pretty tasty, but not the best. They had a lot of cheese in them, which overpowered the taste of the meat (I had mahi mahi). I also felt they could have used more sauce on them, they were a bit dry. The rice and beans were good though. Overall I think they can satisfy a craving for Mexican food but I wasn't that impressed. I've had better.
This is not an authentic Mexican place, more like Cal-Mex or American fusion Mex, so don't expect to have a legitimate Mexican dish here. Overall however, the ambiance, staff, customer service and food was very good and a welcome change from the usual stuff you see in the area. There is no liquor license for this place so you'll get wine and beer. They have a red sangria which is good but has no fruit in it! The point of sangria is to have cut up fruit pieces in it (mainly apples, oranges and pineapple) not just bare. If I wanted a glass of cold, sweet wine I would have added some ice and sugar to my Pinot. Chips were not made in house but were good and the Salsa and Guacamole especially were above expectations! Had the chicken tacos which were ok, shredded chicken, salty cheese, lettuce and wanna-be pico de gallo, nothing crazy, the rice and beans were very good however. The other dish ordered was a chicken quesadilla which was good but gigantic! Check the pictures attached. Few tips for the owners: dim the lights, you already have awesome candles on the tables, the lighting ruins it, way too bright for dinner. Put some music, it's a Mexican place for a reason, there should be music and a happy, fiesta vibe. PLEASE increase your hot sauce variety! It's unacceptable that all you have is Cholula!! You need to have some salsa Verde (not talking about the hot mole you have-which was a bit bland) get some tomatillo sauce, ají Sauce etc.. Trust me, I know what I'm saying! Put Fajitas on the menu! Sizzling chicken sautéed with some onions and peppers would do wonders! Surprised you don't have this dish!

The Slippery Mermaid Sushi Bar

Reviews:
Wow so good. Rolls were good size and rolled fat. While everyone else in Navarre is wasting their time and pallet on fried shrimp swing by here and eat something fresh. Wait was a little long after they took our order, but you can't rush good food.
Had a meeting here with a group. The problem is, sushi is not within my area of expertise. I know it's either you love it or hate it. S N/A. Location- 3/5: This was a tricky one to get to. Coming from FWB/Destin and having to loop around on the madness that is 98, that costed points. But what made it worse was that I nearly passed it up and crashed after turning around because I didn't see the sign for it until the last second. Maybe a bigger sign? Lights? Advertising? Bigger location? Just ideas, y'all...something to consider. Food- 4/5: Once I got in and got my food, I must say it was impressive. In the group I was with, we mixed up rolls, and each one was great in its own way. However I was a tad thrown off when I ordered tea and was offered sugar water to sweeten it...uhh, there's already water in the drink, silly! Saying that, the bottle was pretty though. Pricing: 3/5: This what also got me. I dunno if you're paying for quality or if it's normal but, 5 rolls was approximately $50. Overall- 3/5: not too bad. However my issue is that even after buying 2 rolls, it was only filling for a little bit and was hungry again. Maybe it's me or is this normal for sushi joints?
Ohh man!!...I wish I had taken pictures...this was phenomenal. It what people call a boutique restaurant....rarely seen in these parts. It's like having a sushi bar worthy of San Francisco or downtown Waikiki, right here in Navarre, FL. Sushi was so fresh and creative...the blending of flavors to some of their creations (mermaids) was just absolutely incredible. I had Hot saki, Sapporo and a log of the Psychotic mermaid...wow!!!

Beautiful area very nice rv park. Very nice and updated met lots of nice folks there. Would stay there again for sure the only problem is Wifi once you check in the paper says wifi for email use only! Not good I couldn't even do that and for the price per night I kind of expect to have full access to the Internet. I really hope they fix this and come into amenities with the wifi access.

Firehouse Subs

Reviews:
I always heard ads for this place on the radio, and after moving to Navarre, I thought I'd try it out. Oh man, I was not disappointed. whatever sauce they use, it's to DIE for. It was an amazing sandwich. They don't keep at ALL and they get soggy pretty quick. So you've got to either eat it there or hurry home. This is totes on of the best places on the panhandle for cheap subs.
Stopped here for a quick snack. Very tasty sandwich. A little high in price but way better than Subway. Wish we had one of these in the Tulsa area. (2011) - - - - Looks like we're getting one in Broken Arrow! (2013)
Sorry Firehouse I must give you 2 stars because you haven't ever gone past that. Their subs seem 'wet' to me. I don't like wet subs. Always way too much mayo or whatever sauce they use and it drips out of the sub. My last sub had so much BBQ sauce I couldn't taste the meat, it just ruins the sandwich. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Two trips of soggy sandwiches doesn't fit my style.
