The Kind of nasty Customer Service that will probably spit in your food... I called to place a lunch order for General Tso's Chicken about an hour ago. Now, there are several Asian restaurants in this immediate area and I couldn't remember which one I was going to have to drive past. Some guy answered, I placed my order, hung up, then immediately realized OH crap! This is not the location on my way to such and such , that's ANOTHER Chinese food restaurant (although I had ordered from Orient Chef before bc they were saved in my cell phone). So I called right back, and when I say right back? I mean in less than 30 seconds, the initial call was barely disconnected. I told the man, I'm sorry, I called and placed my order less than a minute ago and I need to cancel it. *SLAM* He banged the phone in my face! You read that right, he didn't even bother saying anything like "No problem" or "ok". Really dude? For a less than $8 lunch special that I'm sure you still had the receipt in your hand? I know what you guys must be thinking, and NO we weren't disconnected by accident. I actually heard the phone slam down old school style (cell phones have prevented this style of banging the phone on the receiver in ones face. Unfortunately, pushing the disconnect button just doesn't give the same amount of satisfaction when you're angry). With this type of unwarranted attitude and anger 2 hours into the lunch service, I can only imagine what goes on there if someone REALLY gets him upset. I will never order from here again, I've received better customer service at Chinese food establishments in the worse ghetto's of the US, not to mention Burger King. Dear Orient Chef, Mom and pop restaurants are closing all over south Florida daily. Pull that guy off the phones and put a mop in his hand. Good luck!

Meh. Ordered sushi combos for dinner/delivery. They were okay. Nothing special, nothing bad. Just ok. Quality was decent. Wouldn't order sushi there again. Can't vouch for the Chinese food, though.

I ordered food from here Saturday night (delivery). They have Japanese or Chinese food. I ordered their rainbow roll which is a bit different then most places and I ordered the KC roll which is cucumber on the outside with salmon and avocado. We then ordered chicken fried rice, the beef and broccoli and the Chefs specialty called General Tso Chicken. We were impressed they came with in 30 minutes, maybe even a bit less. My boyfriend was worried the sushi would be warm but it was still very much fresh. Oh I also ordered a seaweed salad and edemame. Everything was very delicious! We were very impressed, the rice was very very good, the beef and broccoli was good not great and the General Tso Chicken was delicious, a bit spicy but not too much, just right. Again the sushi was fresh and as good as it gets for a place that serves Chinese food. I was very much impressed and would definitely order delivery from here again when I don't feel like cooking =)

Fact: Part of my family cooks supah dupah awesome chinese food, I have Bahamians and even Trinnies coming to the MIA telling me so. So I was very hesitant to order from here because I guess you could say I am biased, but I was pleasantly surprised! I always order the Happy Family, its enough to feed my dad and me AND there's still left overs! Good portion, extra flavorful and succulent brown sauce that covers the large crowns of broccoli and extra large corn, with decent size chicken and beef! Definitely a winner, even for my picky dad, the retired cook! Haven't ventured over to the Japanese food part, for that I go to Nami's sorry Orient Chef, not brave enough yet, maybe next time!

I could only comment on what I have tried. My boyfriend ordered the food before going there and it was ready on time. We had the special fried rice sans the pork and it was pretty good! We also had egg rolls those were yummy! So far it's the only "Chinese" food I have liked in west broward. Will definitely order from there again! In three words: "reliable chinese takeout!"

I did not like this place at all. They are nice people but the food was not great at all. I was highly dissapointed.

My co-workers and I have been ordering from Orient Chef for over a year. I LOVE the fact that delivery is available, which is a must if the weather is bad or no one wants to go out. Both the Chinese menu and Japanese menu have an excellent variety, but I prefer the Japanese menu. I usually get a California Roll or Dragon Roll with a bowl of Miso Soup. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who lives or works in West Miramar.

Given that I live right around the corner, this is my go-to place for Chinese takeout. The food is pretty good for what it is and it's inexpensive as well. Even the sushi rolls are much better than I expected. This is a small takeout Chinese food place, so don't expect top quality or a luxury experience, but if you want a pretty good meal for under $10, you can't go wrong here.

One of the better Chinese to-go places around the city. Best thing to get here are their lunch specials. My family's favorite menu items are: honey garlic chicken wings, lobster sauce, sweet and sour pork, beef and broccoli, general tso chicken and their lo meins. I don't think that you can ever go wrong with these items. You got to approach eating Chinese food with caution because it may just make you sleepy and lazy with all of the carbs and msg that's probably in it. Their sushi, although not a great five-star quality, still satisfies your cravings. Plus it's really cheap! If you're looking for a night-in and you're too lazy to go out and eat, this is going to be your guilty pleasure.

This place has become slowly but surly my favorite Chinese food take out place! It started with one late hungry night at my brothers house where he ordered delivery and I like an idiot said no thanks i'll just sure something small with my boyfriend. What a mistake! We shared the General Tso Chicken and holy cow I fell in love! Best General Tso Ive had! The delivery was quick and you get a bang for your buck! You get the combo it comes with egg roll, soup rice, and one more thing I forgot, but none the less, I freaking love this place! One night feel Chinese food, give this place a try!

So horribly disappointed. We have been eating takeout from here for over five years. As a former New Yorker I'm quite picky about pizza and Chinese food. This place had excellent Chinese, New York quality. Truth is, on our last order I bit into something hard and pulled out what looks like a small animal tooth. Can't go back. Getting sick just thinking about it.

Well, it has been a year and I broke down and went there again. I see some people like this place. That will remain a mystery on a par with who shot JFK. Wow, this place really sucks. 2 soups to go and the containers are half full. 1order of ribs actually good. Egg rolls good. Large lo mein that is barely a pint. It is supposed to be a quart. I thought they mistakenly gave me the wrong size so I called. I was wrong. Couldn't find the chicken or the veggies. House mustard the consistency of tap water. Yes there is a much better place but I was almost home and way past it when I decided to order.

Food used to be a lot better here. Was a regular but never recognized as that. Staff is extremely unfriendly, and very un-personable. My last and final visit I got food poisoning which lasted for several days. I will never visit this place again have also heard of them storing food on the floor.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
