I give it a 3 star because of the service. I stop here on a Sunday and wanted to order lunch. I was helped by an man who seemed to be annoyed at my precense. Before I was informed that there is no lunch on Sunday, I attempted to order seveal items from the menu. A waste of my time. So I ended up eating greasy food for lunch. I also asked for ice. They dont have any. Food was good anything fried is good!. I have been here before and its average. Service was not even friendly. Won't come back.

Very nice people helped us. Food was good. I had the steak sandwich and was tasty. The Lunch special with shredded beef and rice and beans was good too.

I love this place. My coworker told me about it and I am so grateful! I eat here every week and sometimes more. They are very sweet and have delicious food and very reasonable prices and specials. It's a must try!

The food isn't really taste like authentic Cuban food, definitely not my favorite.

Heard about this place through a coworker, we came during our lunch break. It was very empty with maybe two other people, at the counter was an older gentleman preparing the order of the other people (we assumed he didn't greet us) we just stood there. The menus are displayed very poorly with no pricing. I went to the restaurants website before arriving so I had an idea of what I wanted to order and it was not the same. If I had not looked online I wouldn't know what to order since the employee at the counter didn't seem approachable for questions. As we was preparing the meals, he seemed busy but said he would be right with us. Another younger gentleman came out and took our orders one by one, when I asked for the carniperro, he didn't know what I was talking about but the old man understood and repeated what I said. I didn't like that both gentleman were somewhat rude. Whatever they took our orders. - carniperro - Messy hotdog with shredded beef on top, fry strings, ketchup, cheese, & white sauce - empanada de carne (beef) - this was very good, with a corn dough (crunchy!) - cachapas de queso (cheese) - like an Arepa, corn dough with cheese - patacon de carne mechada (beef)- a sandwich made with slices of fried green plantain instead of bread with shredded beef. - tequenos - fried cheese fingers The food was tasty but the order came out about 30 minutes later, way too long during a busy lunch hour. Service is crap, could be cleaner and has potential to be better - there are other small restaurants nearby and this is the worst one inside. The walls are all damaged; the menu display on top is poorly displayed ... it seemed as if they opened that same week.

A Venezuelan joint in Miramar. Service is a little slow but food is actually very good. If you're looking for a snack or some yummy arepas filled with meat and a cabbage slaw and little bites. By far my favorite is their cachapas, a sweet corn patty flipped over to sandwich white chewy cheese in between. Also, their tequenos are little breaded fried cheese fingers that is served with a yummy creamy garlicky sauce.

Let's start by saying that I landed in this place because they recently closed down my favorite empanada place. I have to say it's a good find, but I didn't know it was there so they should advertise it more.. This place claims to be Venezuelan, however, their food is limited to just a region of the country... Their food is decent but their empanadas are very good.. Their arepas are "ok"; I really don't care too much for cabbage, ketchup and tartar sauce in my arepa, but I guess it's part of the regionalized aspect of the business... Service should be better considering it's a family business, so they should strive to keep their customers happy and wanting to come back... The place has potential but they should really focus on keeping it cleaner and tend to the customers a little better!

The food was very good, they even have regional specialty foods from certain parts of Venezuela. However the menu is not displayed in the best manner. The young guy at the cash register seemed somewhat annoyed at our presence. They also messed up the orders and gave us our food plus some other lady's food. Then he lost our meal ticket and had to make another one. Overall good food but the service can be a lot better.

Quality, quality, quality! Flavorful fresh delicious food. Staff is amazingly friendly. Took a little time for my empanadas, which are usually ready to serve. But, this spot makes them fresh to order. Do not mind waiting at all.

This used to be my go to place for patacón. However new management quickly changed that. Service was seriously lacking. The place looked bare upon arrival. I even wondered if they were still open. No menu displayed or even any food. I still decided to give it a shot. And wow how I was disappointed. Not only was it lacking in flavor but the portions were smaller for the same price if not a little bit more expensive. Hopefully management works out these kinks.

Brand new owners and remodeled place. Service is excellent. The food is delicious! I've had the turkey burger and the steak and fries. Both were very good and not greasy at all. Food tastes very fresh.

what a cheap place. The new owners are trying to save on everything. We had a cheese grilled sandwich with almost no cheese and a so thin banana smooth I could see the through/ I almost felt sorry until I received the bill. Never more to this place.

My wife likes to come here to eat cachapas, the thing is 90% of the time we come they don't have cachapas ( how you don't have one of your best seller items in stock), this is something i will never understand about this place, and then when they do have Cachapas the service is the worst you can ever imagine. Since the moment you get close to the register to make your order you can feel they are annoyed by your presence, it feels like they don't want to serve you at all. When your food is ready dont ever ask them for extra sauce because they are going to ask you 1000 questions about why you want extra sauce ( they told me one time that if i want more sauce i should go to the kitchen and prepare it myself, another time they told me i am not supposed to eat the Cachapas with the white sauce and he didnt provide me the sauce), at that time i told my wife it was my last time there. She went after that because she said the Cachapas are good and we dont have another place closed by to eat and she will just ignore the horrible service. I told her she is crazy going there and guess what? The day she went they were out of cachapas. I really dont understand how this place can afford to pay rent and all the expenses if they dont have customers or product to sell. Please never go to this place.

The Empanada Spot! DELISH, don't buy one buy Five. The few times I've gone the place is a little empty with walk-ins only, They seem a little distant when it comes to service. Amp it up people, put on music, tell me your specials. Honestly I should give it 3 stars for the service portion but the Empanadas are so off the chain.. It's gets the rating above.
