Came here with my in laws after a concert at AA Arena. The hostess sat us at around 11:15. I chose this spot because it was on my bookmark list to try and yelp said they were open till 1am. We were waiting for another couple that were also at the concert but were stuck in traffic. The waiter came to the table and brought is water and talked a bit about the menu. When he brought the bread he let us know that the kitchen closed at 11:30. We quickly called the couple missing and read them the menu because in typical Miami traffic they were still a another 10 minutes from arriving. The waiter was super cool about as well as the kitchen, our order got into the kitchen around 11:40 and everyone was super cool about it. We had a very nice Italian wine I can't remember the name. Everything we order was delicious. My in laws ordered the lobster linguine and the squid ink risotto which for me was the best dish of the night. The other couple ordered 2 tartars which they said were very good. My wife ordered the pasta with truffle and asparagus which was very good and I went with a tuna crudo which was light since I ate a bunch of everyones pasta. You can tell the kitchen crew knows what they are doing, all the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. Overall this is a must do if you want to eat pasta and are in the area. I will definitely be back!

Outstanding. Love the food, service and ambiance. The food was delicately prepared particular the octopus, the burrato and the shrimp carpaccio. Great addition to the Miami scene.

The best place we've ever been in Miami. Excellent service and great outdoor area. The restaurant is not so cheap but if you consider the quality of food, the location and service it's worth!! The cooking is 100% italian with an italian chef. We recommend grilled octopus, that was awesome, spinach housemade ravioli and veal milanese, the milanese was simply unique. If you go there, you have to reserve a spot for dessert! We tried the babà rhum and the bomboloni with ice cream and they both deserve 5 stars. I'm looking forward to go there again!

I've been to Tamarina on several occasions and never have left disappointed. On our last visit, we were seated promptly. The night was beautiful which is rare in Miami so we opted to dine outside. At first, our waiter welcomed us with a complementary selection of breads. I ordered the beet salad to start which was perfection followed by the Snapper in Brodo which was juicy and rich in flavor. Their dessert selection is my favorite part of this restaurant. All the desserts I've tried deserve 5 stars -- bomboloni, the key lime torta, snikers, and cioccolato fondente. Therefore, I commend them on such delicious desserts. Tamarina offers a laid back atmosphere and I noticed that a mature crowd was present at dinner time. Overall, Tamarina brings an upscale dinning experience to Brickell with high quality food. If you are looking for a place with innovative dinning items, this place won't rock your world.

Excellent food, very fresh, and a great variety in the menu! We were able to walk here from our hotel at the Viceroy. We enjoyed a $39 three course menu from Miami Spice and thoroughly enjoyed it! Great upscale place!

Delish!! All of it. Breaded steak. Risotto. Doughnuts. The service on point and ambience is sheek. Will be back.

Gorgeous decor, attentive service, fresh and delicious food. The presentation is a foreplay for your eyes and the taste moves you forward to the G spot :) This place reminds me of some of the great restaurants in Las Vegas. Hooray for Miami, we are really starting to make a mark on the map with all the great restaurants of down town and the design district. Highly recommend this place.

Three words about this place: NOMM NOM NOM Excellent service. Very attentive. Very nice. Delicious food. Everything was seriously great from the bread bowl at the beginning all the way through the entrees. Also it wasn't too loud so you could actually hear the other person talk. There was jazz music with a singer in the background, but it was pleasant.

Okay - so this is going to be a bold statement, but this may be the most beautiful restaurants in Brickell. I was taken back by how gorgeous this place is. Once I found out that they are owned by Zuma, it all made sense. Besides the appearance, my boyfriend and I sat at the bar and had drinks and an appetizer. The bartender was very nice and went out of his way to to ensure we were having a pleasant experience. The beef carpaccio was absolutely incredible. I cannot wait to come back for a full meal.

Fine dining with amazing food and service! Everything here is excellent. Real authentic italian food with excellent service. Not many places in Miami you can say that!! Exquisite! I shall return!

The service was outstanding. The wine was really good and reasonably priced (Tuscany Red Blend). The food was ok... Had the crudo sampler for two and it lacked taste - asked for lemon to squeeze on it, and with a little salt made it better. The Bronzino was good but nothing out of this world. The chocolate fondente was ok but not any different than lava cake at other restaurants! Was not very impressed with the food.

I think we need higher star ratings; especially for this place. The location, the ambiance, the interior design are top of the line. Extremely well thought out in terms of layout and design. The outdoor seating has amazing views of all the surrounding high rises and the palm trees in the courtyard. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting, with high ceilings, dark wood walls and exceptional lighting. Our entire dining experience was beautiful and very enjoyable. We spent almost 5 hours there, so that says something. From the apertivs and appetizers to the double espresso at the end of our meal; it was relaxing, most enjoyable and definitely somewhere to go again and again. We ordered the salmon tartar, the tuna tartar, and the crudo platter. The tartars' were so fresh you could taste the ocean and the crudo was beautifully presented and also very fresh and delicious. Our main dishes were varied and mouth watering; even as im writing this. I ordered the scallops, we also ordered the pomodoro fresco, the chilean sea bass and the linguine lobster. Everything was prepared to perfection and exquisite. The scallops were plump, juicy and heavenly, seared perfectly on the outside. Everyone else also stated that the flavors were savory and delectable. Everyone there is very polite, attentative and knowledgable. My only regret is not being able to go there during happy hour but it is definitely on my to do list this week. Their happy hour menu & prices look awesome

Beautiful restaurant Incredible desserts Great service OK Food I suppose it's closer to a 3.5, but since the main attraction was lackluster (the entrees) I have to go with 3 stars because I am not eager to return. I was SO excited to visit the restaurant. We were a party of 6 and ended up here on my suggestion. To be fair, four of us felt it was just OK, the other couple liked it more than we did. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Valet parking is available. You have to turn up the ramp and the restaurant will then be on your right hand side. The interior design is incredible and right out of a magazine spread. Stunning, elegant, and oozing the WOW factor. Service was great. Our waitress did a phenomenal job keeping up with our madness (with grace and a smile): lots of fast overlapping chatter, laughs, and rowdiness on our part. Prosciutto di Parma- good Blue Point Oysters- good, loved the presentation on the wooden bowl. Octopus Carpaccio- we realized too late that we had ordered the grilled octopus. They brought the carpaccio instead. Didn't say anything since it was mostly gone by then. It was OK. Tonno- Odd. I had never seen tuna look so raw and be so hot? Luckily, this was not my dish. Linguine Lobster- It photographs better than it tasted. The lobster on top was just an empty carcass. Not too much lobster in my pasta and again, just OK. Bolognese- simple, OK Mushroom Risotto- this was perhaps the best dish of the night, but not by far. If I compare it with the same dish at Casa D' Angelo in Ft. Lauderdale it pales in comparison. Something else that was odd, the truffle was not shaved on the spot but already came topped on. Chilean Sea Bass- good Bomboloni- good Crèma Caramellata- excellent Key Lime Torta di Ricotta- great Latte Dolce- excellent Snickers- excellent I feel like there is a lot of room for improvement at Tamarina when it comes to the main entrees. The entrees weren't bad, they just weren't memorable. Whoever the pastry chef is, however, seems to be way ahead of the game. His/her presentation, execution of each one is up to par with some of the best desserts I've ever had. I don't remember the names of the cocktails we had (because we had them at the end after too much wine), but DO remember they were very strong and mixed perfectly. The bar area seems like a great spot for too! Tamarina is very new so perhaps I will return mid year in 2015 and give them another shot. For now, they need to turn up the heat in that kitchen so they can have a winning spot! Miami in general is FINALLY really excelling with some phenomenal cuisine. There is no room for "just OK."

We came here with two other couples for my anniversary and we truly impressed. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, soo elegant! And the food did not disappoint. We had a combination off the Miami Spice menu and ordered extra sides... Everything was delicious and fresh tasting. The wine selection is great however a bit pricey but being the location and ambiance its expected. We had another couple join us after dinner for cocktails and they moved us to a larger table. Very accommodating and attentive staff. It's a perfect place for a special celebration or nice occasion.

  • Margie S.

I loved every single dish I've tried. Definitely try as much of the crudo bar as you can, enjoy the Chilean Sea Bass (here, done like nowhere else), and try the Locations Corse Vermentino wine - it's delightful. Lastly, do not miss their Tiramisu - served bombe style and accompanied by espresso gelee and gold leaf. Perfect for a romantic dinner, group outing or any special occasion. But, don't let the swank decor keep you away - go anytime, and treat yourself to something special.

Nice place, impressive decoration, super high ceilings. Food was pretty good, can't say was excellent but very good. The prices are not that high as others mentioned, most of the pastas are well priced , some meats a bit pricey but matches the place. Service was shaky at first, our water not so friendly until one of my friends had to call him and set him straight, then his attitude improved, plus we had to ask for water refills at least 4 times. Other than that small hiccup all went well, again very nice place and ambiance. Best was the sea bass , out of 8 people 4 had it and we're very impressed. Desserts were ok, a bit on the small size portions, the best we tied was the sneakers chocolate. Maybe we will go back in a few months.

Tamarina, Miami LOCATION South of the Miami River, on Brickell Ave., in Miami downtown. It doesn't get more central than this, if you don't want to venture off the beaten paths. ATMOSPHERE-DECOR Beautiful place, visually speaking. It spells upscale all over and it has also a very large outdoor area to enjoy the meal. Both my wife and I loved the type of music there: it was some sort of downtempo music, beats ranged from middle-east to Africa to Mediterranean to jazz. It made for a very nice, urban, atmosphere. Lovely décor inside and by the bar. SERVICE I have to admit: you hear all the times about the bad service in Miami, but I don't know, lately, I have been pretty lucky, and for lately I mean in recent years. Nothing we could complain about here: everything was served in timely manner, without rushing. The waiter explained to us the different type of fresh oysters and was very helpful, polite and professional. FOOD Food is not exactly cheap here, but come on, you are in downtown of one of the major American cities, the place is really well planned, clean and the food is pretty good. We did enjoy the fresh oysters; first we had a round of 1 per kind just to taste, then we order a few more of the ones we liked better. I remember we liked the blue point and another kind, but ask the waiter, they have a Japanese sounding name. The Chilean sea bass was very good, delicate. And the tagliatelle Bolognese weren't bad either, they were actually well done, not overcooked, with some good chunks of meat. Food seemed to be cooked on a lighter side here, meaning they don't put a lot of dressing and sauces, which is great in my opinion. You actually taste the food, not the dressing. VALUE While you cannot call this place cheap, the value is still pretty good. Prices are reasonable if you add (as you should when evaluating value) the quality of the food, the ambiance, the location and why not, the service, which was very good during our visit. Final comment We will be there again! There's so much on the menu that we still want to try and if our first visit was a good indication of this restaurant's quality, then we are onto something nice here.

Flawless. We were waited upon like royalty and fed similarly. The scene is casual, warm, and elegant. Must try: the crab tartare, the burrata salad (I could have slept on the cheese; it was so light and airy), the scallops, and the tiramisu (multi-layered, garnished with gold fakes, served with candied cherries.) Portions are NORMAL-sized (unlike its predecessor, Lippi, Tamarina understands not everyone has a gastric-bypass-sized stomach.) I can definitely see the place morphing from cozy business happy hour lounge to evening fine dining without all the pomp of other nice restos.

Definitely, definitely worth checking out for an upscale lunch or dinner! This is definitely a new gem in Brickell. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere unbelievable. They really did a fantastic job with the modern feel of the decor and the furniture. Even the outside patio was very fancy and looked like a great place to dine. To start, we ordered several of the fish appetizers which were all absolutely delicious. The quality the of the fish and accompaniments were extremely good. Definitely recommend the appetizer fish taster for the table! The crab was also delicious. For the main course, I had the mushroom risotto and also tried some of the lobster pasta. Both were good but not amazing. I was expecting better since the appetizers were so incredibly good. 4 stars mostly just for this. Regardless, I'm sure that we ordered wrong and the strength of this restaurant is their fish so I'd recommend sticking to that. When I go back, I'd love to try the seabass. Overall, if you are looking for a fancy, modern Italian place in Brickell, definitely come here!

I like it! Yep, that happens! The service was great (and attractive ;-)), everyone was smiling just the right amount. Food was on point, and quick too. Good spot for both Dinner, as well as superb business lunch with clients. Give it a whirl.

Went for 2015 Miami Spice. Portions are tapas size. Octopus was good/2 bites. Pork belly entree/small piece. Too fatty. meh! Snicker dessert/meh! Restaurant and ambiance great, reminiscent of Zuma. Expresso Martini at the bar, yummy! Service from actual server was neglectful but the actual men in suits are fantastic; they are on top of every detail. Food outside Miami Spice promo looked great. Mushroom Risotto was delish. I dont recommend spot just for Miami Spice. I was really looking forward to this place but you are better off going to Capital Grill for that.

Awful service, mediocre food. We had to wait 20 mins from our reservation time. One sat no one came over to help us, we had to ask. Once we got our main meal we weren't given steak knives or dinner forks. Food was mediocre. The octopus was burnt and tough. What a disappointment.

This is an amazing restaurant. The octupus carpaccio and the beef carpaccio with truffles on top is OUT OF THIS WORLD. The environment is beautifully decorated it feels warm and cozy. Everything is done in such great taste. It is truly beautiful. The service is excellent and I don't mind paying a higher price for great service and out of this world food. They have an executive lunch offering which is a great deal- $25 for an appetizer and entree, $30 for an appetizer, entree, and dessert. Spectacular!!!

I have to start out by saying that the ambience is absolutely amazing here! The quality of the food was also top-notch however, some dishes were lacking flavor to my taste. It is not by any stretch and inexpensive restaurant, so I found that to be a bit frustrating. The crudo sampler was underwhelming and lacking flavor. The chef would not allow me to sub the broccolini for corn, which annoyed me (again, it's not inexpensive). I was served three lamb chops for my entree. The chocolate lava cake was good but not great. All in all it was underwhelming. Bummer. Not sure I would go back. I will say we loved the Italian red blend we had, and ironically, that was very reasonably priced. They get 3 stars from me for the ambience.

  • Leo L.

Fancy place. Really wanted to like it. Portions of food too small, and flavors were not that interesting. Plus we told them one of us was allergic to cilantro, and when the appetizer came with cilantro, the chef tried to tell us it was basil. When they discovered we were correct, they were nice enough and took one of the dishes from the check. But not the dish that had cilantro! Don't think we will come back.

Went with a few friends and everything we ordered was amazing! The staff is super friendly and attentive, the decor is what other places strive to look like. The live band was a really nice plus that we weren't expecting. Overall we will be coming back here as often as possible.

  • Frank F.

The decor is amazing. My compliments to the designer. The staff is friendly and happy to see you. The menu is superb. The oysters were very fresh. For the entree, I highly recommend the snapper and the porcini risotto. Dessert didn't fall short, the donuts were great, save some room for them.

I completely love this place! Just went last night for my birthday dinner with friends and family and we enjoyed for three hours. Customer service is great, however they were a little slow in some occasions. Overall, the food was delicious and portion control. If you are a big eater and expecting a huge plate then this place is not for you. The prices are a little expensive but the food is worth it. I recommend it for large groups and even as a date. The decoration is very clean and elegant. I loved the ambience!

I came here to celebrate my fiance's bday. It was a great choice. Nice food, great ambiance and very good service. A bit pricy but it is a good choice for a special occasion. Portions sizes were good enough. I would definetly recomemded this place.

This is a very classy beautiful "Italian" restaurant. The decor is beautiful, the music is nice and the staff is very polite. Happy hour is decent from Monday to Friday 4pm to 8pm and Sunday I think they have it all day. Specials run from 6$ to 8$ and oysters are 50% off. The selection is limited but nice. I don't think the food is very authentic for Italian cuisine but it is good. Maybe the restaurant is a fusion between Italian cuisine and something else....I think the most authentic Italian thing they have is the Negroni cocktail, which is delicious if you like bitters. I am not sure but the ambiance is very nice with candles, flowers, music, and style. The bartenders and rest of the staff are really good with customer service plus everyone is very trendy and elegant in a nice way. If you are looking for a nice relaxing place in Brickell to take a date and have a conversation or have a great night with good friends or family, I will recommend Tamarina.

  • Stephanie G.

I went into Tamarina on Friday evening for a drink with a girlfriend after Thrillist named this place one of Miami's 9 Hottest New Happy Hours. I never went to Lippi, so I have nothing to compare it to. But, from what I hear Tamarina's pricing is much more reasonable than Lippi's. I absolutely loved the space. It's beautiful, cozy and romantic. I love that you can sit in the plush chairs to converse and actually hear what your companion is saying. The Happy Hour pricing is decent as well: $4 beers, $5 wines, and $6 specialty cocktails. There's Happy Hour pricing on certain appetizers as well. My friend and I had the tuna tartar and rosemary focaccia. The tar tar was great and the focaccia was just okay. All in all, it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back for dinner.

Excellent new spot on Brickell ave!!! Great service, excellent decour, terrific wine selection and incredible food! This place has it all. The pasta is fantastic, and their raw selection of seafood is great as well. This will be a go-to spot in Brickell for years to come!

We had the most amazing time at Tamarina! The restaurant was beautiful, super romantic, prefect for date night. I really liked the tiger prawn carpaccio, it was different and very yummy, a must have. Don't miss the Chilean Sea Bass, it was the best dish of the night. The service was amazing, our server was very knowledgeable and helped us order the best dishes.

Very nice ambience and good food too. Complimentary breads were anazing. I always wanted these breads to be served warm, but everywhere i found them cold. Here they served them hot, which i liked the most. Awesome dessert. I had tiramisu which was just out of this world. A must go when in miami

  • D Q.

This was a meal of true genius! A perfect wine list, some beautiful appetizers, a gorgeous pasta dish, and then the Chilean sea bass, which I will think about for a long long time. I'll visit again the next time I'm in Miami, most notable for the beauty and charm of the restaurant, the efficiency and sweetness of the staff...and, oh! The foooooood!!!! The meal ends with my wife and daughter speechless over the desserts. My wife's panna cotta was "sumptuous" and my daughter's "amazing chocolate something" got her to...wait for it...put down her phone. I got one bite. #heaven

  • Jolie M.

Meh. Like a person below described the food- "small and basic". The atmosphere/location are nice but I was very underwhelmed by everything I tried. Crudo for two appetizer was VERY small and boring, my Chilean sea bass was good but very plain and boring, my boyfriend's filet was undercooked, and the key lime dessert we had was again very small and boring. Won't be coming here again, for the money there are way better restaurants even on that same block

    (2)
  • Dan B.

Business lunch was overpriced for the product. Service was mediocre and didn't accommodate a simple request to alter one of the pasta dishes. For the price no way it's worth it.

  • Javier G.

The food was average... service was on point, nothing to remember either good or bad.

  • Tatiana S.

I absolutely love this place. It is beautiful, the food is delicious, service is outstanding and atmosphere is very welcoming. I was there a couple times for lunch and once for dinner. My favorite is Caprese salad with their homemade mozzarella, all crudos and Chilean sea bass. I also tried the lamb chops. Even when I ordered them well done, they were perfectly cooked and still tender. My sister also liked all the pastas that she has tried. So, I would definitely recommend Tamarina if you want to experience something new Italian/seafood.

In the heart of Brickell Ave. in Miami, Fl. seats this beautiful italian restaurants, one of my new favorites in the city. Great italian food and selection. Pasta, octopus, oysters, you name it, they are all good. But if what you want is ambiance and people watching, this place is also great for happy hour, celebrating a birthday or just to hang out. Love it!

  • Lindsey D.

The food is delicious and the setting is beautiful - casual-elegant - but the service was terrible. 5 stars for the wonderful food, but 1 star for the service. I consider setting and food quality to be more important than wait staff service so I am giving it 4 stars.

Great happy hour here. Good deals on food and drink, which were executed well. The decor is amazing. They also have fans outside to cool down. Patrick was one of the better waiters I have had in Miami. Great service!

Great food, and AMAZING service. Our waiter, Patrick, was so nice. Best waiter I've had ever since I moved to Miami. Loved the oysters -- which are beautifully presented,--- and the tiramisu is out of this world. I wish they had a Spotify playlist, because their ambiance music was really good. Don't miss the opportunity to try this place.

Tamarina is definitely one of the hidden gems of Brickell. Came here for Happy Hour with a group from work. Drinks were all reasonably priced and they had a good selection of small bites of food. Our group ordered everything from the menu and the bruschetta, shrimp cocktail, and salmon tartare were all big hits. The place is very nice and the waitstaff were very professional and courteous. It was not very busy, but my fear would be the size of the place is its eventual downfall. It is a great spot for Happy Hour and would be good for a date as well. The actual dinner menu seemed a little pricey and the portions were a little small. But overall it was a great experience and I hope to be back.

I never really rely on reviews, and I almost never write bad reviews. I only give credit where it's due. Went to have diner there 2 weeks ago. Worst customer service ever. I waited almost 30mns to get seated, mind you I had my reservation. Then when we got seated, waited a few more minutes for my waiter to come, then a few more for him to get my order. Over all, I must say I won't go back. I was only satisfied with my drink and my dessert. My food was blend, I had the rissoto and my boyfriend foods even worst. We ate it because it was late and we were starving. I wrote them an email, and never got an answer. I'm not shocked about the bad reviews from The Miami Herald, I agree with most of what they said.

The ambience is the thing that caught our eye while walking down the streets browsing for a delicious place to have a nice dinner. Unfortunately the classy establishment did NOT meet our desires in any way. The waiter was not very personable, all the food taste like vinegar, and the portion size was far to small. My man and I are not the type to complain, and we make the best of any situation, but for the price (which they automatically add twenty percent gratuity) we were so dissatisfied. I would not recommend eating at this establishment.

  • Russell M.

I'm going to sound like a fat American but the portions were too small. Of the little bit that I got, I think it was great. I only remember leaving hungry which is about the last thing you want to feel after spending $50 at an Italian restaurant. I'm sure there are more carbs in that kitchen to feed a farmer and his daughters but I only saw what he'd feed to his rooster. My friends also felt the portions were small... I had the risotto. It tasted amazing but the presentation was lacking. Looked like oatmeal in a bowl. Could have used some garnish or maybe a side of vegetables. I finished the meal with the Key Lime Torta di Ricotta which came with eating instructions from the chef. I remember the simpler days...

I was excited to try this one given it's 4.5 star rating. We, a party of 6, arrived for our reservation on time and were seated right away. This is a gorgeous restaurant. The multicolored tan stone floors, the dark wood walls, the white silky window treatments, the creamy light colored chairs... just a gorgeous space! And they also have a nice outside seating area for those rare beautiful cool Florida nights. Service began promptly and was consistently good throughout the night. I checked their wine list online before going and I did not care for it. Thus, we brought our own wine. The Corkage Fee is pretty steep for Florida at $40. (NOTE: When we arrived we found out that their Wine List is not represented in full online. They have many more wines than what their online Wine List shows. The Blue Point Oysters were good... it's hard to screw up oysters. The presentation... from the bowl they were served in to the garnishments... just perfect. (Check out my wifey's Brenda P.'s pictures!) The Octopus Carpaccio was not good. The octopus was cut way too thin and it just did not have much flavor. I did not care for this dish. The Prosciutto di Parma and Parmigiano Reggiano was just a plate of prosciutto and it was just OK. I've had much better. The Tonno, which was a Big Eye Tuna with shaved fennel and orange, was also just OK. I think this dish should have been served room temperature or cold. This was a hot tuna dish! The Linguine Lobster looked oh so good... but it wasn't my dish and so I didn't try it. The Bolognese? It was Tagliatelle with Ragu. Looked appetizing but, again, not mine and so I didn't try it. The Mushroom Risotto was again, not mine, but I did try it and, was the best dish of the night in my mind. My dish? I am glad you asked. I had the Chilean Sea Bass with roasted vegetables. The fish was well cooked but did not have much flavor... just a plain piece of fish. Of the 6 of us, I think I am the one that liked this meal the least. The best part of our meal was the desserts with the Crèma Caramellata, the Key Lime Torta di Ricotta, the Latte Dolce, and the Snickers. All excellent!!! Perhaps I will return on a cool Florida night to enjoy those great desserts while in that nice outside seating area.

Amazing food, atmosphere and service! Must try the salmon tartar and the beef tenderloin with truffle and the tiramisu dessert! Luis & Patrick were phenomenal servers! Best customer service! :)

Great food and great atmosphere. The linguine lobster dish was quite possibility one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had, and the bomboloni dessert was amazing as well. My only gripe would be that the service was average. For a restaurant that serves such great food in such an amazing ambiance, one would expect better service. But the food was so good that the average service could be overlooked. Will definitely be coming back to try more of their fresh and homemade pastas and some of their amazing desserts.

Excellent! Service, food, ambience. ...all excellent! Shared a winter black truffle pasta as a first course, and it was perfect. Fresh, in-house made pasta with just the right balance of truffle to be wonderful but not over-bearing. Then we enjoyed Veal Oso Buco, and an entrée of Bolognese pasta. Both were superb! Finished by sharing the Panna Cotta dessert. This hot new restaurant is a must try!

Wifey and I decided to try this place out. Decor/ambiance, food and service were all first rate. We rank it up there with some of our other favorites including Zuma, La Mar and il Gabbiano. Good value too. Wifey had mushroom risotto which was the best risotto she has had in recent memory. I had an individual portion frutti di mare which included oysters, shrimp, scallop ceviche and crudo salmon. All was fresh and tasty, served with four accomanying sauces and limes and lemons, and, was presented like a work of art complete with ice sculpture. Outstanding! Looks like they have a very reasonable happy hour menu as well which we will definitely check out as the interior decor/bar are the best in town hands down. Buona mangiare!

Hidden gem. One of my favs in Miami and def one of the best in Brickell by far. Great ambiance, both inside and out. Has that old school vibe, but still modern. Service is also excellent and the food has never missed.

Tamarina is a great addition to the Brickell neighborhood. Located in the old Lippi location, this restaurant provides exceptional Italian cuisine. My gf and I can only comment on the happy hour menu. The prosciutto board is awesome as is the polenta. The best happy hour drink is the dragoncella, which is delightfully refreshing. Nathan, the head bartender, did a great job at revamping the cocktail menu from the Lippi days. If you're looking for a stiff drink or quality food, you can't go wrong with a visit here.

Really 5 stars? Must be all the owners friends. The good: nice setting, elegant. The rest: Hostesses are nice but ditzy. Bar charges $5 for club soda . Our waitress again nice but forgot to bring many things. Food is very average Overpriced and just ok food. Will not return

I had a reservation for 10:30 and only seat at 11 hs. It was full and waiter was taking care of a lot of tables it s overpriced for a regular food - there is better choice at brickell area.

Went there with my parents for Mother's day. The place is beautiful. Our server didn't seem to be too familiar with the menu. We ordered the octopus as an appetizer. It was ok. It took a while to come and finally arrived at the same time as our main dishes!!!! We ordered Chilean seabass and lamb racks. The seabass was good. I didn't try the lamb. We ordered Panna cotta to share for the desert and it was delicious and large. I ask our server for the check. When he brings it, there are only 3 items that we ordered that are correct and the 10 other items are wrong. No problem. I notify him, thinking he just gave us someone else's check by mistake. He doesn't apologize and goes in the back. Comes back with the bill. Again, it's all wrong. I tell him. He leaves and comes back mad, asking me what exactly is wrong with the check. At this point I'm thinking... Didn't you take our order and bring our dishes? But anyways. I start telling him. He then asks me to write him down the list of each item that we ordered!!! Really? What is going on? Can't you remember or look in the system or your notes or ask the kitchen??? At this point I'm already so frustrated I proceed to write our whole order on a piece of paper. You would think that after this it would be impossible to make another mistake... He came TWO more times with the wrong check! I thought it was a joke and I was being filmed for a prank show... Finally one of the managers that were overlooking everything realized there was an issue (it took 30 minutes!) and came over. I explained the issue and he apologized and comped the $16.00 grappa for the inconvenience. He was very nice and efficient. I appreciate the gesture but still feel it's a little insufficient when you are paying for 5 stars food and service. He said the server was new and I feel like if a server isn't ready he should not be working yet, especially on a Sunday and Mother's day. This place is way to pricey for service to be so mediocre.

Excited to try a new place in Brickell, however this Tamarina did not live up to expectations. For the price there are better options. We had the calamari (small and very basic), burrata (small and basic), the yellow tail snapper and scallop crudos were both good. My wife and I shared the mushroom risotto (again nothing special) and an overcooked tough strip steak. While this place certainly has potential, the food needs improvement.

Beautiful restaurant and it has very nice outdoor dining area. Very robust wine list too. Everything we ordered to eat was wonderful; they really take pride in each and every dish that comes out of the kitchen. The staff was very kind and welcoming during our visit. Our server Brittany was great too! Next time I'm in Miami, I will definitely come back.

Tamarina should be the next hit in the Miami culinary scene. It has every single ingredient for that. Impressive decor, I honestly love the design of this place it is so warm and elegant; beautiful terrace facing Brickell Food is awesome, the chefs in this restaurant take their job really seriously. Beautiful presentation, really honest and consistent flavors (I've been there already 3 times). Special mention to the crudos done like anywhere else, pastas and oyster selection. Service is attentive. I only miss a younger vibe, a DJ on the terrace would be awesome.

Stunning. This place is absolutely beautiful and elegantly decorated. Stellar service. From the very moment I walked in last night, the service was flawless. I commend the hostess for setting the tone for the entire evening. She was very welcoming, spoke about the restaurant (about the décor, when it opened, etc.) and even provided updates on the arrival status for the rest of our party. The servers were coordinated and on point during the entire dinner. Delectable. I ordered the risotto tartufo. I love black truffle and this dish was superb. Not a single grain was spared. The complimentary bread assortment was accompanied by a trio of olive oil, eggplant spread, and fagioli. I had a scoop of the espresso gelato to finish because I was stuffed! On the way out, the hostess invited me back and shared more information about additional events such as happy hour. Valet is available for $10 with restaurant validation. Valet is conveniently located behind the building. I'll be back!

Me and my boyfriend had our first dinner last night at this fabulous restaurant, for my understanding they recently opened, the décor is very elegant inviting and very romantic. We started with the crudo appetizers, fresh, and great presentation, for the entree my boyfriend had the linguine with the lobster...fantastic...the pasta was cooked to perfection and the flavors were phenomenal, and I decided to go with the special of the day which it was the risotto with mushrooms and white truffle...out of this world... By that time we were so stuffed but we decided to look at the desserts menu anyway, and OMG we order the bombolone filled with ice cream...top notch. Service was knowledgeable and very professional, and as I was speaking to server about me being Italian he called over the new manager Angelo..also from Italy very charming, he made sure that we had an amazing dinner, which we did. Unfortunately we leave tomorrow back to san diego but next time here we will definitely come back.. Keep up the good work Tamarina...thumbs up

The food was very good. We ordered the bean salad and octopus to start followed by the spaghetti alla vongole and the branzino. For dessert we had the bomboloni. Everything was excellent. The service was great. We live in NY and are food snobs so we're hard to please and this place was a five star for us.

A new Brickell restaurant that delivers all your wishes. Affordable parking, $10.00. Great décor, professional service where everyone smiles, and delicious food. WOW. A restaurant where you can talk and be heard by your fellow diners. Wine corkage is also available. What a perfect evening.

Even though this place is new, the space is BEAUTIFUL. Everything is spotless and the design is very warm and modern. I had the tuna, which was seared to perfection, and the scallop crudo which was very fresh. The tiramisu globe for dessert is a MUST, and the staff is very professional and welcoming. DEFINITELY going back.

Enjoyed a wonderful weeknight dinner of a crudo sampler, truffle pasta and snapper. The food was extremely fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. Tamarina is a big, beautifully decorated space with a comfortable patio that looks over Brickell.

It is a five stars restaurant. Service was impeccable. The crudo food here is out of this world. Great experience so we'll be back soon.

The owners of the restaurant have gone above and beyond to make sure that this error is corrected. They have been more than accomodating and extremely elegant in their manner of handling this unfortunate situation. Everyone deserves a second chance. I definitely intend to give them one. All restauranteurs should have the consideration and take the extreme care that these owners and manager have to make things right. Paul (the manager) was a total gentleman, and his sweet demeanor and apologetic attittude makes it difficult to refuse his offer to make it up to us. Thank you Tamarina, for really caring about what your customers think. You are certainly unique.

Nothing special but not bad either. The seabass was avg, taste was OK but it was unevenly cooked and the veggies were just kind of there. But, the fresh ham was really good, so tender and just the right saltiness. Think for the price you can find better. Ambiance is great, very nice venue with outdoor seating; but I'm into the food! Two notes - I'm not into Italian food and grew up in north Jersey where Italian food is authentic and abundant.

We went for an early dinner( 6:30pm) on a Friday. The food here is pretty solid. I would give it 3.5 stars some dishes were certainly better than others. Kind of pricey, but I find that in Miami you have to pay up for relatively good food. The service was good as well, which is a pleasant surprise, i have been to quite a few popular restaurants in the neighbourhood, where that was not the case. The restaurant itself is nicely appointed and the ambience I would say is OK, however we were there early so we did see more of a after work dinner scene. As we left, it seemed to have filled up with a more diverse crowd. I sat outside with a group of 4. We also had my son in stroller who slept most of the time. They were happy to accommodate us with the stroller which i can appreciate. We went on an evening that it was not too warm. I'm not sure how comfortable on the terrace would be on a regular muggy evening. I was staying in the area and was able to walk to and from which is a nice option, but there is parking in the neighbourhood.

This restaurant is the previous Lippi restaurant which is still owned by the same owners who also own Zuma. It is a beautiful space with a nice bar area. Our party of 8 which included a toddler (very well behaved) arrived on time for our 7Pm reservation, we were immediately taken to a large table but before we were seated we were informed that this table was reserved for another party and other than seating outside all the other tables were much smaller round tables that in our opinion comfortably seated 6 to 7 people and not 8 with a high chair. They then seated us at a booth tightly seating 4 of our party on a bench and the additional 3 and high chair were in chairs. The restaurant which is very large was basically empty on a Monday night but despite our complaints of not being comfortable with our seating arrangement they did not accommodate our request for a larger table. At that point we should have left but because we were celebrating a birthday and did not want to ruin the evening we stayed. Both our waitress were excellent. They kept our water glasses full, they were prompt, and attentive. The food was just ok. We ordered the grilled octopus which was good but about the same as you would find in any other restaurant, nothing outstanding. The octopus carpaccio which was a chile oil carpaccio was tasteless. The parma prociutto was just sliced prociutto on a cutting board. The burrata also speaks for itself since there is not much that made it any better than it is on its own. The calamari also nothing new. Our entrees also were unimpressionable. We had the branzino, the sea bass, the veal and all were unremarkable. One dish that stood out was the pasta with truffles. We also ordered a bottle of wine which they then informed us they were out of. They then recommended another bottle and then when they brought it informed us that was the last bottle and if we wanted another they would find something different. For dessert we ordered the tiramisu, panna cotta and another dessert which were like donuts I don't recall what they were. Our bill with gratuity which they included (18%) was about $600. They comped two of the desserts for the birthday girl and reduced the wine bottle a smidge for the inconvenience. We will not be returning to this restaurant since there are so many choices that not only serve better food but where the customers comfort and requests are better served. By the way the bigger table that they refused to seat us at sat empty all night long and the restaurant was empty other than our party and a couple of smaller tables. Stay away,

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
