Got my first week as a trial, food tasted good but I was still trying other competitors before going another week with them so I was advised to call back up to the following Wednesday if I didn't want to pay for another week. I called that Wednesday and was told it was too late and had to actually call up to the day before instead so they went ahead and charged me for another full week, considering I still had 3 more days of meals to receive before the new round of meals charged started. At the time the given options were: 1. enjoy another week or 2. get a store credit. Refunds are ABSOLUTELY NOT an option with Shape Lovers. On my second week I called customer service requesting the deliver to be made anytime after 10AM since I only get to work at that time and they put a note on my account although that was ignored and my food was arriving every day before that time. Luckily enough the first couple of days one of my co-workers came in earlier and took the food inside. But Friday was the pre 4th of July holiday so no one went to work so I called them early to either change the address or put a hold on the deliver. For my surprise customer service said it was too late and food have already been delivered (much earlier than 10am again), meaning my food was sitting at the curb all morning in a bag exposed to the 90 degrees sun, on the floor. My advice for you that's looking for reviews about Shape Lovers? Be prepared to find your food sitting on the Florida cement heat, no money back guarantee and surprise rules if you ask to work something out over the phone. The manager made sure they're always right and customers never have a valid point. I wanted at least my money back for that Friday. The manager said: "We don't work with refunds at any circumstance". With that said, be prepared to pay, have it their way and no chances of getting a dime of your money back.

I threatened to give this place 5 stars, and here it is. This place is Heaven-sent. I'm in my office for lunch and dinner, usually every day (sad times...), and I don't have to think twice about where my next meal's going to come from. I'm eating stuff I would never normally eat. The food is delicious and the service so far is great!!! I highly, highly recommend.

I love shape lovers. I have been getting food delivered from them for about 3 months. I hate eating meals that are more than 2 days old so I don't prep meals; I also don't have a lot of time to cook meals in the morning when I'm working. This place is a life saver they deliver to your job or home and they don't mind delivering to both in one day. I always change my schedule and they work well with me through it;therefore, the customer service is amazing. Thanks so much shapelovers. You guys are the bomb.

Shape Lovers by far is the best nutritious food service delivery in the Miami- Dade and Broward County Area. I have been a customer for the past 18 months. Shape Lovers offers great tasting, fresh, and nutritious food. Very nice portions and variety. Wonderful customers service. Flexibility and great delivery persons who provide timely service. On the healthy side, since I have began eating Shape Lovers meals many of my medical issues are being resolved. Shape Lovers has helped me maintain a calorie conscious diet, while taking the guess work out of it. The food selection offers me the opportunity to eat a variety of food that I would not be able to afford on my own. I highly recommend Shape Lovers!

I would not recommend shape lovers, I bough 5 groupons total, for my husband, for my mother, and myself. My meals were missed twice, they sent me the wrong food twice as well with items I specifically asked not to be sent because I was allergic to them and some other issues. The manager was always helpful and respectful to help me solve the issues, but I had so many problems it seemed as if it was on purpose, she always assured me this was not an issue that EVER happened, but that was hard to be believe after my 6th call to complain that something went wrong....I will not order from them again, and unless you dont mind unreliable service and you are ok with missing lunch that you ordered then don't use them. The food was tasty, the manager was really nice...but I just dont like places that are unreliable.

After I read Maria's review, I decided to try Shape Lover's. I don't have children or a lot of other responsibilities. Most of the time I'm just too single/busy/lazy to cook. Plus, I think Winn Dixie is ghetto and nowadays the same groceries I used to buy at Publix now cost twice as much. I think this would be a great and convenient service for singles, busy moms, and the elderly. And in this economy, a 4-course healthy meal for $8 to me, is PRICELESS. I hope I never get sick of this. Two words I would use to summarize my experience with Shape Lovers so far is *Yummy Convenience*. LOCATION: Hallandale Beach. $8/week delivery charge. DELIVERY TIME: For my area is aprox. 7AM (I'm asleep at this time). I leave a cooler w/ ice outside my door at night and bring the meal in and put it in the fridge before work. MEALS: $7.95/meal. Optional 1-5 meals/week (special delivery arrangements for Saturday). Includes main dish, side, soup, and dessert (WOW!) Low cal, low fat, 500-600 calories/meal. The side dish, soup, or dessert may substitute each other and on some days an alternative main dish is offered. So far, it looks like there is a new menu weekly. FOOD EVALUATION: I consider myself a semi-picky non "foo foo fancy" type eater and I haven't seen a meal on their menu that I wouldn't eat. I also have yet to finish an entire meal from them in one seating. I usually have a side/soup dish left over and sometimes I eat the dessert first because to be so low in calorie, they are DELISH. This food is HEALTHY but doesn't taste it at all. Unbelievable. How they do it? I have no idea, but I'm glad they did. *Their desserts are now offered in party portions for no extra delivery fee. I will definitely buy one for my next girlie dinner party.* MEAL EXAMPLES: Carribean-roasted pork loin, split pea mashed potato, minestrone soup, coconut flan, 575 calories TOTAL and DELICIOUS!! Chicken jambalaya, cilantro rice, vegetable puree soup, corn custard (506 calories, 5g fat TOTAL PEOPLE!!!!) and VERY YUMMY. I was very surprised at the good taste of my first week of meals. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Excellent phone rep's and delivery drivers. I signed up online but had to call them a few times in my first week. (#1) I signed up online and the system conveniently took my money but a "glitch" caused them not to delivery my meal the next day (mmhm, interesting how that happens). (#2) My delivery came before the listed delivery time (online states 9am-2pm, but my area is actually 7am). I missed the delivery driver and phone rep's call because I was asleep and driver did not have gate code for complex (My bad) so she left. Another plus is that after your first delivery, they give you CC authorization forms to fill out, but I have not seen any "agreement" that makes me commit to their service.

i bought the groupon for 3 days of lunch and dinner. i called twice to try and coordinate and never got thru, i left voicemails and never got a call back. finally after a few weeks i tried again and was able to set it up. it was that easy, select the start date, give my address and the following monday i had my food waiting for me by 9 am. i was really impressed with the food-- chicken crepe, split pea mashed potatoes, seafood paella, sage tortellini, corn chowder, even the mixed salad was good. the desserts left a lot to be desired, i took one bite and gave the rest to a coworker. would rather have the option to omit dessert or substitue for an additional side. my only complaint is that the food isnt labeled at all so its either a guessing game or you have to log into their website to refresh your memory on what the food of the day is. i can imagine that this food might get boring or redundant. sometimes you just want a burger or sub or potato chips. but its affordable, easy, and good quality food that is ready fast.

I am a stay-at-home/freelance journalist with a rambunctious toddler. After tackling an assignment, watching Diego two times, playing at the park, changing dirty diapers, watching Dora once, dancing to my daughter's fave tunes, reading, blogging, surfing the Web, painting, drawing, bathing said child, you get the picture, folks...I'm ASS TIRED. The last thing I wanna do is cook. Enter Shape Lovers. They deliver low-fat meals to your doorstep. For 7 bucks a meal plus a weekly delivery fee (7 bucks to my hood), they deliver HEALTHY food to your home. You get a soup, side (usually some kid of rice or veggie), protein and dessert. And it tastes GOOD (just add salt). My fave meal so far is the stuffed plantains...delish! My husband claims it tastes good too, and he's quite "special" if you know what I mean. I've been eating it three nights a week for the past month and love that I don't have to cook. Sure the food is tasty and healthy, but what I love most is not having to wash dishes -- praise sweet baby Jesus for this service.

I love shape lovers. I order it for lunch, Mondays and Wednesdays. Although lately I have been having some problems with the delivery, and I called this morning to rectify the problem. The food is great. You do have to heat it up and the portions are good. They do give you the calories per dish, although if you are on weight watchers, watchout it will calculate it to 12 points, lol.....

have not been this excited about home delivered food since Publix used to show up and deliver my groceries after online purchasing-- I thought I would die when they stopped that service, and I still miss it, but Shape Lovers has stepped in with an even better twist: it's already cooked. Oh and it's lo-cal and even has sugar free desserts. It is also inexpensive, neatly packaged and features a nutritional variety including pearl couscous, quinoa, chick in every which way, Latin flavors and the best part is the soups. a Lunch is $8 and I get it delivers to Coconut Grove by 10 am. I use it for lunch or dinner or both. Delivery is only $5 a week.

I purchased the groupon as well and had a great experience. It was easy to set up the orders, delivery was smooth, and the food was pretty tasty! It's definitely worth a try, especially if you foresee a busy week ahead.

The service on the phone was HORRIBLE. On their website they had the option for you to put special instructions about the food you were ordering. I put I was allergic to celery when they called me to confirm they told me that they wouldn't honor my request and although it was a life thhreatening circumstance they wouldn't honor my request. She then tells me she would confirm with a manager and they said NO. I didn't want to inconvenience them with canceling it so I told them twice to just send it to me and I would make arrangementts with someone at work to take the deal. Surprise surprise I DIDNT GET MY MEAL the day I asked for it. I called in as I was angry and they proceeded to tell me that I had told them I would call them back??????? I HAD NEVER SAID THAT. Needless to say it wasn't me suffering now itt was my coworker. Then the person on the phone proceeds to act as if it wasn't serious and says she would send it tomorrow (were talking about lunch AND dinner) they did absolutely NOTHING to compensate and I was shocked that a company can be so careless. I will make sure to tell as many people as I can not to order from them.

tired of trying to figure out what to have for lunch? this is something you may want to look into. i like to think of this (in a great way for me) as a upscale Cantina for me! it is not only delicious variation of food but also cooked in a very health manner. you do not have to put much effort or thought into it, just await its arrival to your destination!! i have been on it for a while now and still find myself anxiously waiting for the delivery person to bring it in the morning so i can open it up! this is the great solution to getting some healthy food into your system without all the fuss... i have found some favorites, such as pork fricassee... chunks of pork made in a lite sauce with carrots, - soups! love soup - ajiaco my favorite - desserts - Peaches & Cream made with a Chantilly cream!!! the taste is so wonderful you actually forget the healthy calorie portioned dish you are having..... good thing they provide you with the nutritional information for all the dishes otherwise you would be going crazing thinking of all the calories such delicious things may have!!!! look it up - you can view their menu (i have been receiving both the lunch & dinner portions! and love it!)

I'm a fan! FYI: This review is for their Bistro Menu found on their website (it's their menu that never changes and is ideal for lunch with sandwiches, wraps, and salads ranging from $6.75- 6.95 with nutritional information on the package and posted to their website) I am a law student taking roughly 5 classes every semester. I also work a full-time job. I have ZERO time for anything....this includes meal planning. Then Shape Lovers entered my life with a great deal on Living Social and I decided to give them a try. I ordered for 3 days- a Chicken Caesar Wrap, Vietnamese Bahn Mi Chicken Sandwich, and a Pesto Chicken Salad Sandwich with Cranberries. All of them were delicious, healthy, and very filling. They tasted healthy, but in a truly yummy and satisfying way, not in that I'm-eating-cardboard kind of way. Plus, my lunch was delivered to my office by noon! Now, I'm going to start using them regularly for lunch delivery. I just placed my order for next week! Service on the phone was polite and courteous. I was put on hold, but not for very long like some of the other reviewers complained of. Delivery for Downtown Miami is $6 for the week. My week total came to just under $40. Considering that going out anywhere in downtown is easily almost 10 bucks a day, I am going to probably save some money here and I will be eating less junk! This is my gift to myself this year. I'm taking the stress out of some of my meal planning when I'm busy during the week, and rewarding my hard work with a healthy lunch.

Ok i got to start by saying that even though i just cancelled my subscription to Shape Lovers, i have had a positive experience overall. The reason i canceled was because the delivery girl has been late the past few days with my lunch. I was on Shape Lovers for about 4 months now and i have to say it is pretty good. The food is portion-controlled, low fat and healthy. You definitely know you are eating diet food, but it is pretty tasty. This is not gourmet food though, but it does its job. They have good customer service, good prices and the convinience of eating healthy, staying in shape and not having to think about what am i going to eat for lunch at the office everyday is unbeatable!. Healthy choices for food at reasonable prices, delivered right to your office, and tasty yay! Since it is portion controlled when you see it you're going to think you will be left hungry but that was never the case at all. I was always satisfied. Also they have a good variety menu and if you love vegetables like me, you will be pleased. The downfall was that the delivery girl was late with my lunch several days in a row, i was left waiting for food until 2PM and by that time i was starving! After calling many times, i was never offered a free meal or anything (they promise you will have your food before 2 PM), and that is why i decided to cancel and try another service. The delivery girl was always really nice and sweet and i am sure she had many other clients in my area, and i am one to have lunch late but 2 PM was just too late for me and the cherry on top was the customer service not offering to remedy the situation like i mention before. Other than that issue, i was pretty happy with them. Wish me luck with the new service!.

Had both type of lunches bistro and not and dinner . After awhile it all gets old especially the bistro since its a set menu and if your a picky person it makes it very hard to work with. All my coworkers and I did it everyone at first fell in love with it but after awhile you start seeing a pattern with odd pairings of sauces and seasonings. One of my coworkers felt that the beef tips were always under cooked :/ oh and the prices went up in the 6months we had it twice. It's good for those who just have no Time to make your own meals!

This is the answer to an undomesticated woman's dreams . God knows I hate to cook! Shapelovers is a low fat/ calorie meal delivery program . I have been using Shapelovers on and off for 2 years. It is very easy to sign up, start and stop the delivery, at any time. Customer service is always very professional, not to mention the delivery man that is very accommodating and always on time. They have a lunch, dinner, a la carte items and deserts for a very reasonable price. They also have a rotating menu, so you really do not get bored of the food at all. LOVE LOVE LOVE Shapelovers!

After learning of the the business through groupon.com I went ahead and purchased three of the groupons as a means to save some time and energy and by pass cooking. I was excited to see a menu with more of a Latin spin than it's competitors and loved that delivery was included in the groupons I purchased. I have an energetic toddler, and two months pregnant, and run my own business from home so at the end of the day as Maria put it, the last thing we'd want to do is cook. That being said, I'd much rather cook than eat more of these meals. The photos here are far off from what you actually receive and everything is a fusion of what was served the day before either from the lunch or dinner on the menu. The entrees all taste the same to my Husband and I - and have an over abundance of cilantro. We opted out of the desserts and asked for an extra soup. The only other option was to have an extra side dish, which is rice. The rice, all three times, was very dry and over seasoned. There were no vegetable options either. Basically the meals were meat, rice, soup, and dessert. Definitely not well balanced nutritionally or for the palate. I did try Fit 2 Go and loved how I the calorie count and fat/protein/carb breakdown was upfront. If I didn't want dessert I could choose from brown rice, soup, salad, or extra veggies. I hope that they can use this info and spruce up the biz a bit. They have a wonderful idea behind the business but the food is just not up to par and the menu needs a bit more color. I'd really love to use their services again if they shaped up!

Service on the phone is not that great. You get put on hold for longer than you should and the music is worse than elevator music it's just a repeated instrumental. The food is not that great. It has no flavor and some of it just has strange spices or dressings that make it gross. It would be great if the food was labeled so I knew what I was eating instead of guessing. I wish they could deliver earlier so I could actually eat this for lunch instead of stocking up my fridge with so many little containers.
