Great homestyle Colombian grub! Whether you're a fan of Colombian food or have a craving for grub from the mother land then this place will certainly satisfy both those cravings. Particularly I find great comfort in this place for many reasons; Like some of my fellow yelpers mentioned in their reviews don't be mistaken by other "Rinconcito Paisas" specially the one in the same plaza as they don't compare to this one. The place is small but you're immediately greeted like home and asked to seat where ever you'd like. A broth is brought to your table (Consome) as a house courtesy that to me is just the perfect thing to open up an appetite. Basically anything you order here will satisfy that craving that drove you here in the first place but to get into specifics this is my go to place when I'm feeling under the weather and in need of a delicious soup. In which case their Sancocho de Costilla which is basically Short Rib Soup served with Yuca, Plantain, Potato and Rice. This will take you out of that funk you're in and turn that frown upside down for sure. Other Colombian goodies that are done really well here are the Bandeja Paisa, Mojarra Frita and Carne Asada all excellent choices. Btw, get ready to loosen your belt if you order the Bandeja Paisa because they offer; Rice, Red Beans, Steak, Fried Egg, Pork Rinds, Arepa and Avocado. I am not exactly an advocate for Colombian food it's something that I grew up on. So if this review hits home to you or simply motivated you to venture out this cultures rendition to latin food this place will surely not disappoint.

Loooooove their empanadas and bandeja Paisa. Never had a bad experience here. Service is good and they even offer a soup while you wait for your main meal (complimentary). Not a high end place, but great food and cute decor. The cantina is also good, lots of options. Negative: prices of cantina have increased drastically over time. High chair for children are all broken.

There seem to be so many of these all over the place but I was recommended this one in particular. Finally tried their empanadas and chicharrones, yum! My goal was to eat only 2 but ended up eating 4. Loved the spicy salsa they give you to compliment them. Their chicharrones were smaller than what I'm used to but they were good. After all I don't enjoy too much fat so it was nice that they weren't as big as other places. I have several Colombian friends and I already liked their empanadas. Glad I have a new place to get some from.

BEWARE, THERE ARE TWO RINCONCITO PAISAS IN THE SAME SHOPPING PLAZA. I had originally given this business a bad review, to later realize I had given it to the wrong business. It turns out, El Rinconcito Paisa number 1 and El Rinconcito Paisa number 3, are technically next to each other and in the same shopping plaza. Now, my experience with this restaurant was fantastic. I ordered Sancocho de Costilla and was greeted very kindly. I told him the story of what happened, and how I how to order some food and when I arrived to the business, which is next to this business, I almost canceled the order over the phone. The food was fantastic!! Rich and very well-made. I'm really happy I found this place, because four months I had been wanting to find a place near my house to eat Colombian food. They also showed me the Bandeja Paisa, and it loooked soooooo good!! This is now my new favorite Colombian restaurant near my place.

Lamentablemente el personal ni la supervisora supieron manejar una sitiacion desagradable que sucrdio durante nuestra comida. Encontramos un pelo en el pescado y al hacerle el reclamo a la mesonera nos pregunto a donde estaba el pelo por que ellos querian verlo, la supervisora ni se digno a venir a la mesa y entre ellos comentaban del precio y si pagabamos o no el pescado. La verdad fue mas desagradable la actuacion del personal del restaurante que encontrar un pelo en la comida.

My girlfriends family had gone a few times and suggested that we try it... I ordered the fried fish wanting some good fish... THE FOOD WAS NOT GOOD.., that isn't why I rated them the 1 star and that I wouldn't EVER go back... In my fish I found a long strand of hair with dust and dirt balls on it... It was inside the fish and I ended up eating it and pulling it out of my mouth. I was disgusted and didn't even want to order anything nor did I want to exchange it.... I got really pissed off when my family told me to order something else and when I told the waitress SHE ACCUSED ME OF PUTTING THE HAIR AND DEMANDED THAT I PROVE THAT IT WAS ACTUALLY IN THE FISH (I have a military style buzz cut) it was not my hair!!!! I hope try lose all their business because they wouldn't replace my food nor take it off the bill.... Horrible service and the manager was worse she said it wasn't their problem and that if I wanted I could order something else. What horrible people! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD SO PEOPLE CAN KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE!

The food here is delicious. The fried snapper with coconut rice is what I always order. We have tried another rinconcito paisa in the same shopping center and didn't like that one. The palomilla steak is my favorite. Perfectly seasoned and comes out sizzling on a hot plate. Comes with salad and rice another side of your choice. Service is great also. No complaints. My husband and I go here often and have not been disappointed yet. The empanadas are also a must try. I would give it 5 stars but the place is a limitless small. They have only 2 big tables that can accommodate 6-8 people.

A nice small colombian restaurant, the food they cook is great, and they are served in good large quantatities. The service is pretty decent, the ladies were attentive and took time to review the menu with me especially since it was my first time there. My recommendation it is better to go there literally on an EMPTY stomach because as stated before the food is served in large quantaties.

why do i give this place a 3? its cramped for one thing so this is not a place to go if you go with big groups. our server when he saw we (my parents and i) weren't consuming a lot off food basically dismissed us and took forever to bring our dishes out. the food was pretty good and so that's why i considered giving them a 3. i suggest you go with an appetite as the portions are pretty big!
