Good spot to grab a quick bite before officially hitting the road for my travels northbound. A note to the uninformed, there's a ticket dispenser to the left just as you enter, grab a ticket, wait for them to call your number, then order. Went with the arepa con queso and the pan, which as promised, was muy rico. Fresh squeezed OJ and traditional Colombian fare served in a quick way.

I have to review this place. but my review should date 1998 - 1999 At the time it was one of the very few Colombian restaurants in Miami Lakes walked in and it looked pretty authentic, so I went for what I know the most . I think the empanadas in this place are extremely good, I have not had empanadas this good in quite a few years prior. Bandeja Paisa, the Soups, and the well known "piquete" it is a variety of fried colombian delicacies, spanish black sausage, chicharron, chorizo, carne asada, arepas, very good stuff I've never had a complaint about this place, also another thing, some of the staff were Colombia women and they would delight the eyes of the patrons with their skimpy outfits and hipster jeans, true beautiful Colombia women.

i was around the area with a friend and we were hungry. hes colombian so he suggested rico pan, a colombian eatery/store. theres canned products, arepas, empanadas but they also have a small menu. we got there past 8pm and one of the guys told us we could either have burgers or carne asada with yucca, since we were in a rush, we got the burgers... big mistake. the worst burger ive ever had in my entire life. the 'meat' was the strangest thing ive seen. it was soggy, it didnt look like grounded beef. it looked more like puree. yuck. i wanna throw up. i took out 'the meat' off my burger, so i pretty much had half lettuce and tomato sandwich ... then i had this conversation with the girl behind the counter ... sorta GBC: how come you didnt eat the whole thing? me: I dont know GBC: how come you dont know? me: I cant find an answer to your question in my brain. GBC: you didnt like it? me: would you like me to tell you that i didnt like it? GBC: .................... me: how much do i owe you? yes, it was uncomfortable. i noticed this guy changed the dvd from a salsa group to shakira when i got into the store with my friend. as soon as that happened i was approached by the very same guy who was actually selling pirate dvds. i didnt pay attention to the guy but it seems he analyzes the person that comes into rico pan and based on his stereotyping skills, he pops in the dvd he thinks the individual in question might buy .. and then he casually approaches the person and says .... so, i got movies, concerts, colombian movies....

HORRIBLE place, bad attention, they charge you 50 cents more, if you pay with Debit Card???? so stupid. All the things I ate was a very disgusting flavor. I like so much the colombian and latin food but this is so HORRIBLE, don't waste your money...!
