My husband and I went to the El Ranchito Latino Restaurant today for the first time. As a Dr. I work with individuals from all over the world daily and I treat them with respect. After we were seated, the waitress did not come back to take an order for anything for about 12 minutes. When she did come she only spoke in Spanish to my husband and she never recognized me at all. When she took our orders she still acted like she only could speak Spanish and even my husband had a difficult time understanding her Cuban accent. She asked him if he was Cuban and he said no Latin American descended from Mexico. Now remember she had her back to me all that time. Who cares where are from....I am Nordic American but nobody asks me! Now to the food...I ordered beef fajitas with rice, beans and vegetables. I asked her what kind of vegetables and she said vegetables in clear English. When she brought our water, she served my husband first gracefully and just placed mine carelessly on the table. When she served the food, my husband was served first and then finally she remembered mine. Each time she came to the table she asked only my husband if he needed anything, finally he said my wife needs ice please. When my husband went to the bathroom she clearly spoke in English not even broken English, does he need anything else? I did not answer. To sum up our experience and my husband totally agrees....the food was not good and who has ever heard of eating fajitas without tortillas and any of the items that traditionally go with fajitas? My husband had chicken and it was overcooked. This is the first and last time we will ever go there. We feel like we wasted our money and our time eating there. I would not recommend this place to anyone and this is the first time I have ever written a negative about anything. The server was named Lizandra. Terrible service and food.
