I've visited Pollo Tropical several times for lunch. Their prices are affordable, service is fast , and the employees are polite and friently. Moreover, the interior alway is clean . In addition, my usually order is the chicken with black beans and rice and salad. Also, sometime i even order the ribs or the chicken wings : ). THank you Pollo tropical for an awesome lunch see u soon . : )

I'd like to give 3.5 stars. This place is petty good for what it is. It's like fresh food fast, the yellow curry sauce is delicious. I always order the chop with yellow rice it's much more healthy then the usual fast food.

Is that really chicken I was served, or a Cornish hen? Maybe a pigeon? I have to say, that quarter of a chicken was just sad-looking, as if it came from a starving, third-world country's chicken. It was smaller than my hand, and I have hands that are as large as a 10-year-old's! So why the 3-star review, you may ask? Well, the cashier was very friendly and kept cracking jokes. Friendly customer service can go a long way. If this is going to be a regular occurrence though, despite the friendly cashier, I may just have to go elsewhere rather than staying hungry throughout the night because of the stingy portion.

I've been to this PT a few times and they always seem to be on point with their food and cleanliness of the place. The wait time can be a little high especially at peak lunch times. It is the only one in the area and gets hit up lol nice staff. Good food.

Good food. Reallllyyy slow service. Rude staff. Lots of incorrect orders. But if your not in a rush and check your order really well give em a try.

I've never dined in here but I have catered from this location. Even with the huge order, they got everything right and included plates, napkins, serving utensils and plastic wear. They also helped me carry the food out to my car! Love the fried yuca and buttery rice... Yum!

I have never been to Pollo Topical before so I decided to stop in and see what they cook. They make grilled chicken and ribs in a fast food environment. So, I ordered the chicken and ribs and they were delicious! They serve the meals with some sides but I suggest the black beans and rice. It's more of a Cuban flavor to me. The service is good and meals are plenty, for the price. I noticed one store in the Orlando area, I hope they start to build in more northern cities. Nice job!

I like having a fast food option that is not the usual chain restaurant fried fare. I ordered grilled chicken., beans and rice, and a side salad. Unfortunately the counter clerk did not speak a word of English, and I had to wait until the manager was available to help the clerk take my order, so it wasn't so fast after all. I ate inside, the food was good. Very busy, and tables were left dirty. They have a nice condiments bar, with several tasty sauces. but I had to wait in line at the condiment table also . People were filling 30-40 even 50 of those small cups, and stuffing them into bags, and taking them home. I even noticed some people walking into the restaurant, loading up on the free condiments, never ordering anything, then leaving. I'm not sure if I would ever go back to the Miami Pollo Tropical. But I would try it again in another city.

Pollo Tropical appears to be the Cuban/Caribbean version of El Pollo Loco. The place was packed and there was a constant stream of cars in the drive-thru. Although the chicken was moist and tender, it was lacking in flavor. The yucca with garlic was an unusual side dish. The yucca was steamed, which gave it a weird texture. It became very slimy and unappealing. The garlic sauce did nothing to complement the yucca. The plaintains were fried to a nice golden crisp, and had that hint of sweetness you expect. Overall, I was disappointed by Pollo Tropical and wouldn't rush back anytime soon.

This place is consistently serving the order incorrectly. You ask for brown rice you ge white. You ask for yuca without garlic sauce, you get fried yuca, you ask for no onion on the tropichop and its loaded with the green peppers and onions. The bad part is that we order always through the drive-thru and we dont have time to check our order until we get home. Take a look at this picture, we got small tropichop chicken for our daughter and you got it...ITS BURNT. QUALITY OF FOOD CONTROL IS DISMAL! Thats it for us.

A yummy meal for cheap. Definitely a place to stop to eat... think Boston market but better! Try the trios chicken, beef, and pulled pork with two sides. You can't go wrong and also have many different sauces on the side. I loved the salsa and the cilantro garlic.

Good stuff! I am a fan of the Chicken Sandwiches and the Chicken Cesar Salad and the Chicken Cesar Wraps. The Wings are also decent, they are not buffalo style but they are grilled and pretty cheap. This place is always pretty busy and takes some time to get the food but its never that bad.

Indeed Pollo tropical! Very nice and creative way of grilling chicken with tropical herbs. I have a business in Miami FL and i frequently eat at this restaurant. I visited almost all Pollo tropical in Miami area and Fort Lauderdale no kidding! The chicken is grilled to perfection and i have to admit that even thought they are using 48" charbroil gas grill but the taste is almost as good or even better than charcoal grills! You can get quarter chicken with rice and beans and one side for only $3.90!! How can you beat that? the thing is .. It's not the price, it's the taste that made me so many times eat two times in one day. They have mango sauce and some kind of red sauce that are mouth watering and you can get as many as you want because they are all sitting in a special area where you just scoop. If you ever go south, you must give it a try. I wish they open one in the Chicago.

I love Pollo Tropical. Typically eat at one at least once a week. The staff at this one is really friendly and they are always in the dinning room cleaning up. The food here is always good fresh. I highly recommend it.

Pollo Tropical is my go to "fast food" place in Miami. I have never really thought of it as Cuban food, but I guess one could... I always get the Tropichop and a side of their plantains, and always via the drivethru. The chop is good...the chicken is cooked well and tastes fresh. The plantains are DELICIOUS. Not even close to the best in Miami, but it does the trick in a pinch. They've never gotten my order wrong and the food is presented promptly. What more can one ask for??

Everytime I hit Miami, this place is a must for a quick, tasty and inexpensive meal. The plaintains are divine and the seasoning is perfection. Forgo the usual fastfood joints if you want something quick and cheap on the way to South Beach.

I looove Cuban food, and for a chain, P.T. is very good!! I MUST eat here when I'm in Miami!! The chicken, plantains, and black beans/rice are DELICIOUS! It's always crowded, and that's ok, because I know I'm getting GOOD FOOD!!

Decent food and a clean atmosphere for a chain restaurant. I had the Churrasco Steak which was a bit salty and the yucas with garlic sauce. I noticed that some other reviewers noted that there was some pan handling happening in the restaurant and there were a couple of folks who came in to ask for money but they did not bother me. Overall, this establishment was fair, but not a place that I would crave.

Love the food. They are a little stingy with the garlic sauce and sometimes the chicken has an odd bitter taste from being overcooked, but I guess it depends on the time of day.

Cuban fast food is hard to beat. Came here for lunch on a weekday and the parking lot is way too small for this place. I had a car backing up towards me, while I waited for a car to leave it's spot and had cars weaving around them, not to mention the drive thru had a bunch of cars in line as well. Only during the rush was parking an issue. You can park next door (recommended) at the furniture place, but when you leave, you're forced to go North or circle around the block if you want to go South. The food comes out decently quick and for about $5 you can get a decent meal here. It looks and feels fast food like, but guess what... it is. You wait for your number to be called and get your food, but where else can you get chicken, beans & rice with Yuca(not great) for that price. It also has ribs and other meats for people not into chicken, plus it's pretty clean with enough places to sit for everyone that could park there. It reminds me of an el pollo loco, but less Americanized.

Today, February 28. 2013 at 9:15 PM I entered pollo tropical near Dadeland south train station. When I approached the counter no one addressed me or helped me. A male employee with a headset and an elderly lady were arguing, both employees. After few minutes she finally addressed me with "what do you want." I was surprised by her tone. Then again instead of listening to me she went back to talk with that male employee. When she returned. then I said I would like the new shrimp wrap combo. She replied, "can you wait." I said how long to wait? She didn't reply. Then the male said with a rude answer "20 minutes." I said let me think of something else to order. The reason I was thinking is because I was surprised that he nor the female employee apologized for the wait. Instead he or she should of said sorry there will be a long wait. When your employee conflicts spill over to customer service, there is a big problem. Changes must be made. The male employee was incredibly rude. I spend a lot of money at this location. I will never go back again. Due to lack customer service, any warmness in tone, and just making me comfortable, I do not feel comfortable ever entering this location again. I left angry stating 20 minutes at a fast food is too long, which is true. However, this is not the real reason I left. It was because of how rude they both were. A third employee who was behind the counter observed all this. I have never been more insulted. Immediately after i went to the subway across the street. I strongly recommend you survey your team. As the female employee was also shouting at another employee in spanish for not cooking a particular item. It was total chaos. I am shocked! I hope you consider my feedback and create a safer and more welcoming environment for your customers.

Very fast drive thru - the girl didn't flinch when I asked her for some of that yummy curry sauce :)

What can I say... Nothing says Miami like some chains: Miami Subs, gelaterias, pizza places, Checkers, and Pollo Tropical! Famous for its roasted chicken (which tastes like roasted chicken), and latin dishes. They have ribs, black beans, rice, yuca, plantains -- just about everything to get a latin-style chicken dinner all for a good price! Americans... this is Miami's answer to Taco Cabana (and in fact, it's owned by the same company). Nothing risky about this place.
