I had lunch there today.i ordered the lomo salteado it smelled good.when I opened my food I was disappointed.all I got was veggies a few pieces of hard meat.i basically had rice and fries for lunch.i paid ten dollars for French fries with rice.i could have gone anywhere else had a better lunch.never again.if you eat here stick to the chicken the beef is too expensive for the portion and quality that they serve.customer service was great I will not be back.my food had and overwhelming amount of cilantro it took away the taste made it hard to eat.

The food tasted great. The place is small though, floor was sticky to walk on, customer service was good, however, the portion of the jalea was nearly half the amount I usually get at other Peruvian restaurants.

Don't you just love Peruvian food!!!! I had no idea this little place of delishishness existed until my friend took me after a long crossfit workout. We were in need of food but wanted something healthy and great tasting. It was close to class and they had a wonderful special that was only $5.99 with 2 sides We both ordered the 1/4 rotisserie chicken with a salad and black beans. Dude the black beans had so much flavor I didnt need to add any salt or hot sauce...yep I said that..lol The salad came with possibly the best tasting green salad dressing Ive ever had in my life!!!!!!! Now the chicken was juicy and filled with flavor.....I was more then happy with my meal and service. Downloaded the app and all to get points to build up to free meals. I will definitely be coming back and spreading the word about this wonderful place. The only reason for four stars is cause its a busy plaza and parking was a bitch lol

Decided to give this place another chance and should've learned from the first time....Customer service is non-existent, came in at 9:05 pm and was told they were closed even though their hours show they close at 10:00 pm. So the cashier told me I could order only if it was to go so I ordered since I was hungry and Chipotle was too packed. While I was ordering the cook came over to the cashier and reprimanded her for taking my order because he wanted to leave it seems, terrible customer service and places like these don't deserve business. Last time I will come here and I hope the owner reads his Yelp reviews so he can maybe do something about it, unless he probably doesn't read English. Servicio al cliente es terrible.......

It's a small place that still doesn't get to much business bit hopefully that will pick up. This place adds to the diverse food you can get on kendall, and probably has better food quality than any other restaurant in the mall that it resides in. This place definitely deserves more customers than it gets. The only other place that is on par as far on food quality in this mall is pei Wei.

Mr Karbon enters the over crowded Peruvian food scene in Kendall. Overall the food is OK. The fried yuca wasn't crispy and a bit soggy. The rotisserie chicken was typical, but not the best I've had. Soda machine was out of diet coke and I found out after I paid for two drinks. The owner did give a small diet coke bottle for two drinks, but I felt ripped off. Too many choices in Kendall for Peruvian cuisine, so you can't just be OK.

Delicious ceviche!! I love that this is a simple neighborhood place, with quick, delicious healthy food for a great price! I've had the Aji Amarillo and Rocoto ceviche. Both amazing at medium spicy level! Also tried the Shrimp Causa and the carne saltado. Very great choices! Don't let this little hidden spot fool you! You'll love it!

Food is OK...portions are small. Restaurant Manager/Owner has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, HAS AN ATTITUDE & is plain RUDE! Prices are off from what they actually advertise. Staff on the other hand is helpful. Save yourself the agony & go to Aromas De Peru.

Food was very good. The prices were good. The music was playing with high volume however it wasn't overwhelming and if you have kids I would consider this a plus. The place was very clean.

Me and my co-workers were really excited to try this place out but the excitement was short lived. To start off with the parking in this shopping center is a nightmare. After some time looking for a spot and dodging getting hit by other cars we walk into this place and I must say it is very clean...so much so that what you smell is Fabuloso and some smell of food cooking. I really dislike this. When I walk into a restaurant I want to smell great food not my grandmothers house. I ordered the ceviche lunch special. Half portion of ceviche and a half bowl of soup . I chose the parihuela. I got the ceviche made with pisco, which for some reason the they charge you a dollar more for but if you just get the half portion on it's own it's the same price as the regular ceviche. I have to say it was pretty good. Not too sour. The problem that I had was the portion. It was so small...you can pretty much finish it in three bites. The parihuela is supposed to be a seafood soup. The bowl is huge but it has very little seafood in it. It was mostly broth and although it was flavorful it also a oily. My co-workers had lomo saltado, which is beef with onions, peppers and tomatoes. It is served with french fries and white rice. They kept saying the rice was strange. I took a bite and it was mush. Way over cooked and horrible. For the $13.00 that I spent including a bottle of water there are many really good Preuvian restaurants in Kendall that I can and will continue to go to. This restaurant is not one of them.

This place is the bomb! They offer groupons!!!! (Doesn't get better than that) Try their: Jalea Ceviche de leche de tigere Mr. Karbon reminds me of Los perros but a Peruvian version. Love this place and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to go somewhere casual, inexpensive and yummy.

I'm a pretty big fan of Peruvian fare and this place makes it amazingly easy to taste it more than once a week. The prices are very, very reasonable. I also LOVE the fact that they offer 1/2 portion ceviches so I can order an entree and still enjoy a small amount of ceviche. As I am not a fan of fast casual dining, I took the food to go. It was still amazing! The food was tasty and fresh (for it's price point) and the staff there were very friendly and fast. I ordered a half chicken a la brasa with a side salad and white beans and also a 1/2 order of fish ceviche Aji Amarillo. He had the lomo saltado with beef, 1/2 portion. Everything was delicious without dropping a 50 on the check. FAST PERUVIAN YO -TPK

Went bj for a juice since they are listed on the menu online--they didn't have any. I ordered the house salad with chicken, and it came out to about 8 dollars. The menu at the restaurant has it listed as being served with tomato, cilantro, avocado, red onions, and maybe some other stuff I'm forgetting, for $5.99--plus $1.80 for chicken. What I go was chopped lettuce, literally two tomato wedges, and a couple pieces of onion with the chicken on the side and some weird green dressing. All their food is served in styrofoam containers, plates & cups whether it's to eat there or to go, which just looks cheap. Can't vouch for the Peruvian food, but if the salad I got is any indication of what to expect I don't think I'll be returning any time soon The lady ringing me up said they should be serving pressed juices at the end of April, so maybe I'll come in and take a look again, but I doubt it.

Pei-Wei style Peruvian restaurant-- not quite fast food, not quite sit down restaurant. The portions at this place are enormous! The half order of Chinese style rice with chicken I ordered was enough to feed a person and a half. It was flavorful and the chicken tasted/looked fresh. I also had a full order of seafood saltada. So delicious! The plate (pictured below) was enormous. The tuca-tuca (rice with white beans) was thick and creamy. All the different kinds of sea critters were drenched in this tasty, salty sauce that complimented it quite well. The sauces the offer on the side are pretty good as well. The red sauce is incredibly spicy, and I rarely think anything is spicy! Overall a good choice if you are looking for a quick bite but don't want to go through the whole restaurant process.

I came here the first week that they had opened and I was impressed. The flavor of the food I got was great and the portions were excellent, especially considering the price. I had the lomo saltado (my favorite Peruvian dish) and I enjoyed it. However, I went a second time and was disappointed. My issues with my food were: - The steak was hard to chew. Although the sauce flavor was still great, the meat was chewy and at times I had to throw out fatty pieces. I think they should use a more tender meat. - The rice is a little bland. I know it shouldn't be salty because the sauce already adds salt, but I think it needs a little. - The tostones (which I loved the first time I went) tasted like frozen ones the second time I went. They were not very good at all. - Also I'm not a huge fan of the cheap plastic ware and paper plates. I might try this restaurant again considering I really like Peruvian food. I hope they can improve some of these things though.

Ok so this place is super over priced! !! Completely new menu for me. I love Peruvian food but this wasn't it for me. Finally figured out what i wanted to try and I ordered chaufas half order. The girl tells me I can't order half. I asked why, and her explanation was that it's not on the menu. I pointed to her where it was listed, she replied it's because the haven't changed it. Tried to convince me that it's not bad, full order is a good deal. At the end it was nothing more than chicken and beef fried rice on a fancy plastic plate for $15.50. No special sauce, no salad and or no sides. Ridiculous amount for one person. Both attendants were on the phone texting the whole time. ...I was compelled to write this review...not coming back here for a while. Oh and the music keeps switching in the middle of the songs...

This restaurant recently opened around my neighborhood (next to Panera Bread for all you kendall folks), and since I discovered it about 4 days ago... My kids and I have been here 3 times. Their Lomo Saltado is very good, it's getting addictive... and they have a nice touch on their ceviche. Since coming here, I have noticed they have a very hospitable team. They are still in their opening phase, and working out some wrinkles (like no sign outside)... but they are definitely my new go to place for some lunch and dinner options. Seems they will also be serving breakfast in the near future. Bueno, Bonito y Barato! 5 Stars for these guys.

The first time I went here they had no chicken and no high chairs. Not a great first impression however I decided to let some time go by and give them another shot. Sadly I was disappointed. I ordered the Lomo Salteado with chicken and french fries. The meat was bland (thank goodness for ketchup) and the rice did not have even a pinch of salt. The hubby had the half chicken with fries and beans. He requested all white meat (as he does at every other Peruvian restaurant) but they could not honor that request. The sauces that Yelpers speak of were nonexistent and yes I agree with other Yelpers that portions are small. Truth be told afterwards we ended up at Panera because both of us were still hungry. I am giving them two stars only because the place was clean and because they finally have high chairs.

Chaufa special for $10 was way too small and chicken was overcooked. Utensils are plastic which is unusual for a +10 plate of food. The regular lomo portion is also small and for $15 you also get plastic utensils. Not impressed. Go with the $6 lunch special. Probably cant go wrong with that.

The food is fresh and the places is small but clean, the ceviche is excellent a bit in the salty side but nothing to bad , you can always ask when order to go light on the salt , the prize is reasonable.

This place was good in the beginning now the food is not that great. The Lomo saltado is bland and dry/slightly over cooked, the fries are soggy and the rice is undercooked. The civeche is BEYOND SALTY it's disgusting. Spend a bit extra and go to Aromas de Peru for quality good tasting Peruvian food. I hate spending money and being disappointed.

We love Peruvian food and opted to give this place a try because there was a deal on Dealsaver. The Meat Saltado aka Lomo Saltado was delicious and had plenty of meat and flavor. The soft red onions, yummy tomatoes, french fries, and meat juice over the white rice made us come back next week for more. I recommend the Meat Saltado! Plus, the price is just right and that makes it a good value. They also told me it's the most popular dish. Wife ordered the Seafood Jaleas aka Jalea Mixto which had lots of shrimp, calamari, fish, and breading. I enjoyed the types of corn and zest of the limes and crispy fresh red onion. It also comes with yellow, green, and orange sauce. The yellow sauce is a little buttery, green has got a small kick to it, and orange has a bigger kick. They gave us some extra lime slices at no charge because we like our seafood like that. The wife felt the Seafood Jaleas had a little too much breading, but overall good compared to other restaurants. The restaurant has a couple tables and is casual (not fancy) and a nice alternative to neighboring restaurants. We saw some other restaurant employees eating here and usually that's a good sign. Ordering take out was a breeze and can be done online. The girl at the register was friendly and we got service with a smile. Always a plus. :) Anyway, the good food and value will keep this restaurant on our "quick and easy" restaurants list.

Finally!! A Peruvian restaurant in Kendall that is delicious and affordable. We ordered a Leche De Tigre, Tiradito, Lomo Saltado (half-sized) and fries for around $20! The service was also amazing, the girls in the front are really sweet and gave me all the sauces we wanted :) New favorite place!

I'm not really familiar with Peruvian food so I can't comment on how it compares to other places, but I can tell you my chicken saltado was delicious! The fries and rice absorbed the sauce and made an excellent medley of flavors with the chicken. Price wasn't bad either. The wait was a bit longer than I wanted but since it's made to order everything came out hot which was awesome. I will definitely be back to try other entrees. I could see this place earning a 5 star rating in the future. Also, bonus points for bendy straws!

Please avoid this place, the food was awful.I ordered a jalea de pescado with white rice and let me tell you it's quite possibly the worst jalea I've ever eaten. The portion was tiny and the rice had absolutely no flavor. We also ordered a ceviche and It wasn't fresh at all, it had a rancid taste. Don't get me started on the prices, because they aren't reasonable.

Been here multiple times since it opened, the portions keep on getting smaller and smaller specially if it's a to go order... Over all the flavor is great but the portion sizes are not really justifying the prices.

I went there for lunch last week. I ordered the number 1 special which is grilled chicken with 2 sides. I ordered white rice and the fried yuca. The food for my taste was just plain, it didn't have anything out of this world. And the seasoning wasn't very good. I don't know if I would go back. My boyfriend had the ensaltiedo chicken and he liked it. It was better than my food. But not all that great either.

First time I've been there. We had the meat Saltado, it was a huge dish with rice, fries, meat sautéed with tomatoes, red onions and peppers. The food was delicious. the staff trying their best to be helpful. The sauces they have are amazing. Their varied menu is very nice and they have special combos with a great price. We are coming back for more. The ceviche was really good too.
