What a great place. A small hole in the wall but very good. We had breakfast. It was good and fresh. The service was excellent. Loved sitting on the sidewalk enjoying the morning.

This place is great, food is good , coffee with steamed milk ( stayed hot all throughout my breakfast. It's not much to look at, lots of counter seating, food served hot, as a tourist its a great little gem of a find.. Not for big groups. Enough room for you and a friend

The classic steak sandwich and a Jupina!!! Very good!! Will return here when I come back into town for sure!

Came here for lunch on a Saturday. There were only 2-3 other small parties. Ordered the lomo saltado, KC's club sandwich and steak sandwich. KC club was good and had lots of bacon; the fries were bland. Steak sandwich had good meat and onions, but crunchy tomatoes. Lomo saltado was okay. Service was a lil slow, and they brought out our dishes pretty staggered. Lomo first, club next, then steak sandwich a few mins later. Makes it kind of awkward because you and your friends want to start eating at the same time, ya know? Also, they included tip in the bill, even though we only had a party of 3. Haven't really come across that. Is it a Miami thing? Either way, they tipped themselves less than what we planned to tip, oh well. Don't think I'd rush back here to eat, especially with so many other options around downtown. It was reasonably priced.

I was in Miami this weekend for a sport event and my friend and I were starving so we decided to check around the area and thanks to Yelp we came across this hole in the wall. This cafe has a mix of Latin-American cuisine. You can find things from Jalea de Maricos(peruvian dish) to tacos/burritos. They have a breakfast special for 3.99 you get two eggs, bacon, toast and coffee if you are in a budget thats your place. My friend and I decided to go for the breakfast burrito. This baby was filled with three eggs, strips of bacon, potatoes, onions and tomatoes w these wrap on a flour tortilla. What else you can ask for? Well this beauty only cost 5.50 which I think is great. The down side was on the drinks, we order two beers which end us costing us 6 box per beer for a Modelo Special to me that was overprice. The place was overall good I'm ever in Miami again I would definitely stop by to try something else.

Last night, Becki and I did a photo walk with Trey Ratcliff! He was great, what an amazing person, so giving of his time, skills and heart! Before we left downtown Miami this morning, I yelped for someplace fun for breakfast. Wow! Did we find the perfect downtown Cuban American place! Becki took no risks and had the French toast which was good. I dove in and had the Huevos Rancherous, poached eggs, fried cheese, refried beans, and sweet plantains. I also chose the Flank Steak upgrade which was the best part. It's Cuban style cooked with great crunchy edges with some kind lemony and pepper seasonings. Outstanding! I even tried a little of there home made salsa verde picante on the steak. Great flavor with some serious pop that kicks in slowly! Wow! Then we noticed a hand made, in the blender lemon aid, being created. We got that for desert! Extra tart offset with just the right amount of sweetness! Extra Yummy! Another great Yelp find!!! Good Job! Well Done! Next time you visit downtown Miami, live on the wild side and salsa your way over to K.C's and ask for Monica. She is great and will take good care you and make you a great breakfast! Enjoy!

Don't be fooled by this cafe's appearance, which could just as easily be a spot in Havana, their food is excellent and their service is friendly. If you're looking for spot to take a date, try someplace else, but if you're with the guys and just want a place to sit and eat, look no further. I've never had a bad meal here, try it out yourself!

While on a trip to Miami, my friend and I were looking for a breakfast joint. Luckily we stumbled upon this little place in the downtown area. This is very much a mom and pop family own cafe, the owners were SUPER friendly and extremely welcoming. The prices were good, the servings were astronomical! My favorite? Dipping that buttered cuban toast in their green hot sauce! My friend liked to dip her cuban toast in the Cafe con Leche! Mmm... Btw, their cafe con leche was a little lighter than what I was expecting, but I realized I actually preferred it lighter and less sweet. :)

  • Al D.

While in Miami, we wanted some great local food, without paying astronomical prices. Enter, yelp. Based on their reviews, and their proximity to our hotel, we decided to hit K C Cafe up for breakfast. It's very much "hole-in-the-wallish," but don't let that fool you (or scare you). They have an extensive menu, and the food? The food is A M A Z I N G! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and quick to serve. The ambiance gives you a feel that you are in the Caribbean, or South/Central America. We both had the Huevos Rancheros, I with Palomilla Steak, and my wife with flank steak. Firstly, the plate was MASSIVE (so come with an empty stomach), secondly, the food was so good that we couldn't stop eating. That breakfast held us down all the way to dinner. K C Cafe, you were great. You had me at café. Until we meet again.

Saw on yelp and decided to check it out. All I can saw is ...AMAZING! Small place but the food was great, even the coffee!

Wow.. First thank you fellow Yelpers - the review I read were correct. This is a small quaint little place downtown Miami near my hotel. They have 3 tables and a counter. I ordered a Cuban Coffee and the no. 12 Huevos Rancheros. Eggs with hard whites and soft yolks, beans, plantanes, and fried cheese (?) - this meal made my stomach dance. If you see me you would know that is a whole lot of shakin' that should require me to wear a helmet ;) All kidding aside - check it out. Atmosphere - small, very busy with customers getting their coffee before starting work / catching the bus Service - I thinks there were 4 ladies working for a small place but all were very busy Food - home run, the bomb, the.... place your descriptor here :) Price.... this the kicker. $6.50 for my meal and coffee. (Wow!).

  • Mary H.

I'm all for cheap breakfast food, but this place is the pits. I chose to sit at the counter for faster service, yet still waited five minutes to have a glance thrown my way, while I looked around to see several empty tables and chairs. Immediately following my order of scrambled eggs and toast, the server shot a wayward look and told me I would have to "wait a while" for my order as they were on lunch. I asked for scrambled eggs, not a baked potato. What wait? Why run and advertise your establishment as a cafeteria if you don't intend to uphold it? If this place has a quick turnover rate, as other yelpers claim, chances are: the bread is already buttered, wrapped, and ready to press (as every high volume cafe does). Waitressing behind the counter means your hospitality should be on point. I'd rather pay an extra $1-2 for better service anywhere else.

  • Bruce M.

This place is great. Its the perfect hole in the wall breakfast joint. I loved it. The food was delicious and the hot sauce was on point. A diamond in the rough of downtown MIA. Will return again, for the price and the amount of food its perfect. Would have given 5 stars but there is no AC so it is a bit warm if you sit inside. They do have sidewalk seating which is nice.

    (4)
  • Peter L.

Quick, simple, inexpensive and tasty breakfast. Fresh OJ squeezed right In front of you. The servers were friendly, although busy. Open air, diner style seating which made for a cool/different atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend- 4.5.

  • Noy C.

One of the best breakfast spots in DT Miami. SERVICE was excellent just like they're fresh squeezed orange juice and freshly grind coffee (by the way it free w/ every breakfast plate you order). Can't wait to go back here again.

    (5)
  • Ashley C.

Delicious huevos rancheros and mimosas! The mimosas are made with fresh juice, and they were amazing. Thank you Monica :)

    (5)
  • Jason R.

Fantastic breakfast joint. If you want to eat at a good local place, right in downtown, feels like a classic neighborhood diner with a Miami Cuban touch. Had the huevos rancheros with cafe con leche. Cheap and good and local. Can't ask for a more perfect meal. Incidentally, the best cup of coffee I've ever had.

Little hole in the wall..great little spot to grab lunch..their lemonade took me back to my childhood (soooo good!) it's like your grandmothers cooking -not the healthiest but yummy.

    (4)
  • Scott W.

This place was great for breakfast. The homemade hot sauce (great flavor, sneaky kick) was great on the Huevos Rancheros. Also, get the freshly squeezed mimosas (we had the KC mimosa).

  • Captain A.

Do not go on the looks of the place. It is a tiny authentic Cuban cafe. The cafe con leche was delicious. Their grits are amazing. We also ordered pancakes from their sides menu and we got 3 LARGE pancakes, enough to share. I would recommend this place if you are on the downtown Miami area

    (4)
  • Cortney C.

This place is stupid good. I highly recommend the huevos rancheros and topped it off with some of the homemade sauce they make. DELICIOUS. Very inexpensive and incredibly delicious!

  • Lindsay L.

If you are looking for simple, delicious and authentic Miami flavor please check out KC cafe. I order huevos rancheros, cafe con Leche and Orange juice (fresh squeezed by the way) for 8 bucks!!! It's a great place to eat if you're alone or with a friend.

  • Steve Y.

Best hole in the wall Cuban, downtown. The daily specials are $6 and you have 4 choices daily. I had the vaca frita, shredded beef with onions. It was juicy, not dry. It came with three sides. I got double plantains and black beans. The plantains were cooked just the way I like them without being over fried. The black beans were a little watery, but good. The Cafe con leche $1.45 came sweetened. It was a perfect cup of coffee. My coworker had the pulled pork Cuban sandwich $5. I barely had enough time to snap a photo of a half before he devoured it. He said the red onions were a nice touch. He also liked that a can of coke was $1 and not more. I really love this place. It's a great find in downtown Miami. The tourist traps at Bayside had a vaca frita for $13. Next time, I'm going to get it to go and eat it by the waterfront so I can have the best of both worlds.

  • Lillian U.

Great authentic Latin cafe. Its a bit gritty bc of its surroundings but boy can they make some good coffee and food. You'll be blown away by the prices. I enjoyed sitting on the counter and having my cuban toast with coffee. Theres not a lot of actual tables available but tons of counter space.

    (4)
  • Chen F.

Stopped by here for breakfast and had a delicious omelette! If you sit at the tables instead of the bar stools, the staff takes a while to get to you -- especially during busy hours. However, the food was delicious and they provide freshly squeezed orange juice (very fresh, pulp and all). It's a face-paced environment with an authentic look.

  • Sarah C.

Was visiting town and found this spot since it was near the hotel! Food was amazing! Got a breakfast burrito and a hueves rancheros...I wish this gem was located in Cali! Would come here everyday!!

    (5)
  • Jingwen Y.

Love it here. This place reminds me of a diner. I can feel that this is where all the locals come for breakfast before they head to work. You have to try the cafe con leche! The breakfast was pretty tasty and a great value. This is after eating at a tavern that is double the price but none of the flavors. They are actually pretty busy so make sure to make eye contact if you want to get anything else they would assume you're ok.

    (4)
  • Jefferd M.

Great little breakfast and lunch spot. The juice is fresh. The coffee is superb. If your staying at one of the hotels in the area this place is a couple of blocks away. I advise you to get away for an hour and get a little taste of Miami.

    (5)
  • Brianne M.

I love KC cafe for a cheap and delicious "cuban" breakfast. Cafe con leche, eggs, bacon, cuban toast - for under 5 bucks, how could you go wrong? I have only ordered delivery so I don't know about the actual store front location - but delivery has always been friendly and pretty fast. Sad they aren't open on Sunday's!

    (4)
  • Jeremy M.

Small little spot with no walls to the outside. It was not a upscale place but it had some good food. I had the cuban sandwich, rice and beans, and a smoothy I saw in the yelp pictures. Overall very authentic but I wished the cuban had a little more meat in it. But great price for it all.

    (4)
  • Nikki B.

If you want to not get served anything, by all means go here. Terrible service, we left after 20 minutes of not getting anything but a menu. Shame, I had high hopes.

    (1)
  • Joe K.

Real deal, y'all. Breakfast was delicious. That green salsa is HOT and GOOD. The cafe con leche is delicious. Fresh squeezed OJ. The sisters who run the spot are very sweet. I'm happy we found this spot thanks to Yelp.

Great breakfast/lunch spot in Downtown Miami's CBD. Open late for Critical Mass - last Friday of the month.

KC Café is a cool little sidewalk place among the many small shops of Cuban Miami downtown. I came here during the late Saturday morning. I was looking for a place, near my hotel, that offered a hearty, basic breakfast. I found it here. The morning weather was nice so I parked myself at one of the three sidewalk tables. I arrived in the middle of late Saturday morning busy time (10:30). The table I found was actually one of the only seats available. It took quite a while to get a menu, yet the menu is extensive and diverse. I had the KC Omelet that includes sausage, bacon, peppers, onions and other veggies ($8.50). The food was served promptly and included sides of breakfast potatoes and a toasted roll with butter. The meal was tasty and HIT THE SPOT! The downside was the spotty service. However, this is a tiny place and at the time they had only one server on duty to handle a full house. It's nothing fancy here, but if you are looking for a sidewalk-convenient basic meal when you are in this neighborhood, consider KC Café!

  • Charles E.

What a neat place. It's as if you were in Cuba; a little hole in the wall filed with Spanish chatter and warm people. Plates are huge. Food is good and prices are very reasonable. It's very close to Hyatt Regency, Intercontinental, JW Marriott and Epic hotels. Not a dive.

    (5)
  • L. F.

Came here for a breakfast. I put my huge bag on a chair and sat down. The woman that workes there, came by and asked if it was just me sitting there. I told her yes, she then proceeded to tell me that the table was for a larger group. Then asked I sit at the counter. No thanks, not in the mood to sit at the counter and leave my bag at the floor. So they successfully sent me elsewhere.

Although it was convenient the food was cold & lacked flavor. I expected more out of this given it had a 4 star but i sadly disagree!

    (2)
  • Misty J.

I love their cafe con leche. I've only eaten here for breakfast. I ordered the Biscayne Blvd. It was a lot of food for a great price. The next time I ordered pancakes. They were delicious, but there were three of them and I couldn't finish it all. This time I ordered the K.C. Special. Just the right amount of food for me and for only $4. If I'm ever back in Miami this will be my breakfast go to place.

  • Julian J.

We went to try it after all the hype on Yelp. However, after having breakfast at ANY cafeteria in Hialeah, we all found it a sad excuse for Cuban breakfast. In just about any Hialeah cuban cafeteria, you can pay half with ten times the quality. It was overpriced for cheap and poorly made food. It's not worth the drive and if we are the area again, we will make sure to avoid it. The cafe con leche was terrible and the eggs were cold. The bacon and sausage had to be old and microwaved.

    (1)
  • Lesli C.

Espresso was amazing! We loved the Cuban and the midnight sandwich (Cuban with sweet bread) The traditional breakfasts were great too with generous portion sizes- the side of pancakes was 3 large pancakes. Would def return - very affordable breakfast

  • Jose M.

Tiny no frills hole in the wall but what a great experience ! Food was Excellent and the coffee was even better. I NEVER drink coffee but here I had 2 cups! The prices were way lower than expected. Breakfast for 2 and 2 cups of coffee each was under $17.00

    (4)
  • Jenny L.

Yummy Cuban food, it was so good! We ordered seafood rice and croissant ham sandwich, both are delicious! The seafood rice was extremely tasty, rice was perfectly prepared. Plus they have fresh squeezed orange juice!

    (5)
  • Nicole P.

There is nothing like a place you can count on for consistency and friendliness ! Love the food but what makes this place special is the staff. Peruvian and Cuban dishes cooked to perfection and daily specials that will blow your mind. Don't forget to ask for their homemade Peruvian picante decadence on all meals. Love KC!

    (5)
  • Louie C.

Excellently priced breakfast and coffees. I ordered kc special which came with eggs/ham, hash brown, and two mini loaves of bread/butter. With a coffee the total came out to be less than 5 dollars. Great place to stop for breakfast, though it is a little out of the way from the metro.

    (5)
  • K N.

It's cheap, but the coffee is excellent. The service is good. You get what you pay for though. I ordered the BISCAYNE Blvd. The bacon was hard and looked re-cooked. Nothing had flavor. It was just cheap food. The eggs had American cheese. The pancakes had some strange oil. Forget about butter, they give you Country Crock margarine. All for $9.20.

    (2)
  • Joselle A.

good food, though salty for my taste... very SLOW service. took forever for our check and they seem not to care. we could have walked away without them noticing and we were sitting at the bar.

    (3)
  • Jess R.

Don't tell my mom but their cafe con leche was on par with hers! Dip the pan con mantequilla in the cafe con leche for the best experience! Can't beat a $6 breakfast! The place is a hole in the wall with no a/c so at first you question whether the food is edible but once you taste the fresh squeezed orange juice you forget about the decor!

    (4)
  • Brenda H.

The cafe con leche & cortaditos.. I DIE!!! So tasty. So cheap. For a tiny little hole in the wall cafe, it is terrific. Keep that in mind, because there is limited seating and no A/C. The service was quick and friendly, breakfast food was decent, and the coffee - addicting!

    (4)
  • Kenzie N.

This is a little hole in the wall place right downtown. The food was good but nothing that blew me away. The prices were great though. It is inexpensive compared to a lot of places around. The menu also offered a lot options all of which sounded good. The service was okay. The waitress did mention that it was only her second day but she was on top of things.

    (4)
  • Grace B.

Disappointed, very small place, service takes too long and they over charge you..After waiting for so long to get our food and bill, they brought us the bill with a random amount.. They totally over charged us. Breakfast said to be for 4 and 5 dollars with coffee included and we got 5 plates and our bill was over 53.. My husband did not want to argue and paid for it..

    (1)
  • Jpat G.

Great authentic food! Have the freshly squeezed juice and café con leche. Anything on the menu is delish! Def try the Peruvian specials!

    (5)
  • Pete H.

Cafe con leche and orange juice were outstanding, but everything else was pretty bad. Pancakes were brutal, bacon and sausage burnt almost beyond recognition. Was expecting so much more. Waitress was nice. Parking situation is horrific.

    (2)
  • Ayesha N.

I go to this place on a daily basis to get my $.90 cortadito from Wendy who has it ready to go before I even get the money out of my purse. The service is quick and the prices are amazing! I recommend the Pan con bistec sandwich for lunch. Only $7 or so with tax and absolutely tender. If you have extra time in the morning, sit and have one of their breakfast combos that comes with fresh Cuban coffee and costs practically nothing. A quick tip, be ready with your order, if not, step aside and let the locals order and you go ahead when you're ready!

I was in Miami for Ultra and needed a quick bite somewhere in the downtown area. This place hit the spot: cheap and tasty sandwiches for on-the-go ravers.

I was in Miami for the National Highschool Dance Festival and one morning we needed a good breakfast for a low price. My three friends and I stumbled across this lovely cafe and were met with a wonderful woman who I have forgotten her name by now, but you'll know her when you see her. The good was great, my friend got the juevos rancheros and I stole a bite and was jealous. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or living there. Thank you K C Cafe.

  • DK B.

This place is such an authentic little hole in the wall and the staff is incredibly friendly. It was packed even mid morning on a Wednesday. Don't let the cheap prices fool you, this place has incredible Cuban breakfast and brunch. The Cuban style huevos rancheros were so good. And for those less adventurous, they have some standard diner fare as well.

    (5)
  • Amber S.

This place is amazing!...no doubt the cheapest breakfast in Miami but delicious nonetheless! Cuban coffee and cafe con leche was great and the portions are huge. Expect to leave stuffed!

Absolutely on the same note as most reviewers: This place rules. The cafe con leche, fresh orange juice and huevos rancheros all made for the perfect comfort breakfast. Very homey place!

Incredible authentic breakfast! Great fresh squeezed orange juice and espresso. Got the veggie omelette which was delicious, and corned beef with eggs which was also very tasty. Would absolutely return, dying to try more of their menu items.

Better than the average Miami Cafe... Simple, straight-forward, and located in the heart of Downtown Miami. This hole in the wall is one of the few places that are open for breakfast on Sundays!!! Though the waitress told me they only keep these hours during season for now (Oct - March). Their Bistec a Caballo breakfast platter is hangover heaven... a steak & egg breakfast, along with Canadian bacon, Cuban toast, fries or salad, and cafe con leche. It's so much food that it's served on an 18" plate - I always skip lunch after eating one, sometimes even dinner. If you like your food a little spicy, be sure to try the home made green salsa that they serve in the little chile pepper shaped bowl. They also serve fresh squeezed OJ, Beers are only $3, and apparently they have karaoke night on Fridays 'til midnight. Next up is some of their lunch/dinner plates - I hear the ceviche is excellent.

5 stars for the service and the cafe con leche. Best I had in Miami! The food was yummy too but I didn't find the portions as big as some reviewers indicated. We ordered the huevos ranchero and shared that since we were only there for the coffee....Service was great! The people there are so nice! Really wanted to come back but didn't make it.... will definitely return if we are ever back in Miami! I still want that cafe con leche...should have had one to go!

  • Minoti V.

This is the best cheap place to eat in Downtown Miami. It's not the kind of place you can sit and eat at, but more of a to go place. The food is decent and very cheap. I got a sandwich and fries for $5 and it wasn't bad at all. Plus the two ladies that run this place are very nice and polite. they have your basic burger, hotdog, sandwiches menu but they also have breakfast in the mornings. They also deliver. If you're doing Miami on a budget, this is a good place to get your food.

I lived in Miami all of 2012 and of all the restaurants I had the privileged of visiting, the one I miss most is K C Cafe. They have a very basic menu. Kind of a mix between American, Cuban, Peruvian but It is all delicious. May not be as trendy as some of the spots in Brickell but if you are looking for a great breakfast at the best price in town, this is the place. Try their Cafe con Leche my wife can't stop telling everyone she meets about it.

    (5)
  • Michelle P.

Neat locals spot, love this place! Fresh squeezed orange juice, friendly staff, and coladas to-go. Definitely a hole in the wall, don't be deterred by the appearance. The lack of glamor is not a reason to bypass this place. Great way to start an early Saturday morning!
