In short, simply amazing juice & arepas with delightful service at very fair prices. I was getting my tires changed a mile away and decided to walk it. The fresh Mora (Andean Raspberry) juice was exact thing I needed after walking in the heat. The Caraotas y Queso arepa was muy rico and the cilantro sauce made it even better. Make sure you habla at least a poco or bring someone who does if you're picky!

This place came to me as a surprise. Despite it being one of the oldest Venezuelan restaurant in Miami dating back to 1996 (Venezuelans living in Miami before this time was a pretty rare idea before the late 1990s), this place does its publicity by word-of-mouth. I didn't know about this place until a single rogue article appeared earlier this year. And so I came here for breakfast - and it is surprisingly priced very reasonably and the place is well-kept and organized. I ordered the arepa con perico ($4.50 for an arepa with scrambled eggs with tomato and onions) with queso blanco rallado (grated white cheese) y mantequilla (butter) that was included - and a jugo de parchita (passion fruit juice - with water, not milk) and had a filling meal. And I give this place five stars - the passion fruit juice was just perfect and with the breakfast, it reminded me of a good meal I have had in Venezuela - a la casera - homestyle. The arepa was also surprisingly just perfect - great size, grilled right, and perfect for filling the perico, butter and cheese. These arepas aren't the small and skimpy kinds you find in many other Venezuelan restaurants in Miami. And they're far much more reasonably priced here - for $5 max! It's the real thing. But there's other things in the menu as well that I'll love to come back to try - they have tequeños, empanadas, patacones, cachapas, hallacas (tamales), lunch (chicken & beef entrees, pepitos & sandwiches, etc). I even spotted a "plato arabe" or an Arabian plate that has grilled chicken, tabouli, hummus and pita bread. I'll definitely return for Venezuelan food done right! P.S. The sign outside gives an impression that it's a cake shop - but I did not get that impression once inside inside. The sign is old but inside it is apparent that their primary focus is being a counter restaurant.

loved finding this place out of nowhere, too expensive, however, is a diamond find! Whenever I'm in the area I will return for the heartiest chicken stew known to man about a 5oz bowl, $6. felt real good going down.

Arrived and was informed the place closes at 3pm on Saturdays instead of 6pm. They need to update their website.

Great little hole-in-the-wall. Brush up on your restaurant Spanish before going as they don't have an English menu.

This hidden hole in the wall is one of the best homestyle Venezuelan restaurants I've found in Miami. The place is tiny - five or six cramped tables and a couple of stools at the bar. But the staff is friendly, the food is great, and the prices reasonable. Try the awesome tequeños and a pabellón criollo.

This little hole in the wall is a great place to eat. The food is fresh and always very tasty. They have great shakes and delicious homemade desserts. I recommend this cafe if you are in the neighborhood.
