Went around dinner time, had carnita tacos, they were good. I had 2, they were so good I ordered 2 more. I order them without onions. The last 2 I got had onions, so I sent them back. All they did was take of some onions from the top, the bottom and the sides still had. No attention to detail, or to cumsumer satisfaction. Damn shame. Overall prices were good so was the food. But when it comes to not getting the order right and addressing the right way is a fail from the wait staff and the cook, working in the food industry that's a big "F".

Ugh, I never want to be the one to give a place the lowest rating...but this time I had to. I had previously picked up some tacos for the hubby, which he enjoyed. Tonight we chose to go have a sit down dinner since it's close to home, had great reviews and we love Mexican food. Walked in and sat pretty much right away. It then took some time to get our drinks ordered, by this time we went ahead and ordered our meal too because we had been there long enough to know what we wanted. After some time we got our drinks and started to wait, and wait, and wait. The waiter came around and offered chips since it would be some time before we got our food. Drinks and chips were gone by the time the waiter returned to tell us food would still take some more time. I'm sorry, maybe it was my pregnancy hormones, my anxious toddler or the fact that it had been 45 minutes since we arrived...but I kinda lost my patience and simply told her we'd be leaving! At this point she said she'd double check with the cook. We noticed our order was so far down the line, it could have easily taken another 40 mins had I not said anything. Now, the place didn't look that busy but perhaps they had too many take out orders. Whatever the reason, it was just unacceptable. We ended up getting our food 10 mins after this. From someone who's eaten traditional Mexican food in Mexico and New Mexico, we were greatly disappointed. We ordered steak enchiladas, chicken quesadillas, carnitas tacos and steak fajitas. The first order of enchiladas were barely warm and both orders were not at all appetizing. The red sauce (tomatoes versus the traditional chile sauce) was like watered tomato paste and the tortilla tasted old. In an attempt to fix the flavor, we found ourselves adding everything on the table (guac, beans, salsa, sour cream) but nothing really worked. The chicken quesadillas were equally disappointing. Big chunks of chicken, small amounts of lettuce and tomatoes, and they were not pressed and melting like you'd expect. The better of the meals were the tacos and fajitas, but I've definitely had way better before. I really wanted to love this place as much as my fellow yelpers but I highly doubt I will give this place another chance.

I had my eye on this place for a while because it's right near my house. I had always been hesitant to go in, but my boyfriend convinced me to do so and I do not regret it! The food is amazing. I have been here about 3 times and I always leave satisfied, they also have great sangria if you're in the mood for something to drink. It's a very spacious and clean restaurant. I have not had a bad experience with any of them staff members either. Overall a great place to eat!

Coming from California I am always up to visit the Mexican places in the area, hoping to find me some delicious Mexican tacos as if I was at a taco truck in LA. I give this place two stars because of the following: 1 star off-the service was terrible. We sat at the table looking for a menu as we sat ourselves. We finally saw a waitress walk toward us to find out she was going to service the table next to us. We asked the waitress before she left for some menus and she said she would be right back. Five minutes passed by and still no menus. I finally walked up to the front register as three waitresses were scrambling with receipts and orders, neither one of them would look up to acknowledge me standing in front of them. I kindly asked for a menu and finally received it. As we went through the menu it took the waitress another ten minutes to finally take our order and when she came she was only expecting to get our drink order. I anticipated the horrible service already and we ordered our drinks appetizer and dinner. 2 stars off-the food was no where close to being as delicious as my LA tacos. The steak was rubbery, it took me forever to chew. They served the tacos with grilled onions and peppers, again not authentic. Our appetizer came out after our main entrees had arrived when we were already asking for the bill. You can really feel the tension from other tables as they were in the same shoes we were in. One guy got up and picked up his own plate from the self that had the ready plates. 3 stars off-the Chef was constantly yelling at the waitress to pick up the food that was ready and neither one of them would come to pick it up. They were very interested in criticizing themselves by the register and scrambling through receipts and orders, I really don't understand why. Then you would hear, what looked like to be the manager as he was in casual clothes, reprimanding the ladies and walking from the register to the grill to the kitchen. (Did I mention the restaurant is not huge maybe 15 tables with a bar in an "L" shape floor plan. It was very unprofessional to see all this commotion in front of angry customers waiting for their food. Unfortunately, this was a bad first experience and I won't be going back.

Very authentic. Tacos on point, enchiladas were excellent, and service was very quick. Thankful that this place is in West Kendall. This will be one of my regular places to visit.

I've come here a few times and the food is good but last time coming here, the food was horrible. Definitely last time coming here. And the waitresses always flirting and taking forever to take orders.

The three stars is only for the food. The food is good, But the service not so much. We sat for 2 1/2 hours to have our meal. The margaritas are not great and the mojitos are not either. We have a little daughter and when she had to potty there was no paper and the toilet had Curley hairs all on the bowl. Our server was nice but she was going crazy with just 3 tables. The Ac appeared to be broken it was an inferno I was discarding napkins left and right of how much Sweat I was wiping off my face. When I asked if the AC was broken they said they no itis always like this!!!

This location opened about two weeks ago. The service was excellent! The waitress was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and made some excellent recommendations. Everything is homemade! I tried four different tacos (chicken, steak, churrasco, and carnitas). The carnitas one was my favorite. They also have different sauces, I liked the green one the best-not sure what it was called. We also got nachos and the chips were also homemade and very tasty as well. If you go for tacos, I would recommend getting 2-3, they're very filling. For dessert, we had the tres leches italiano. I'm not the tres leches/flan type but this was sooo good! We will definitely be returning here soon! They also have two other locations in the Grove and one on Flagler.

I went with my family last night. We love Mexican food and I'm so glad I finally found a place that offers good Mexican food. We all tried different things and they were all good. I ordered the fajitas and they were great. The guacamole is worth getting as well. The items come by themself so we ordered something called the cinco amigos which brings rice, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream. The service was also great and for being behind a T-Mobile, it was packed. The only thing missing is we ordered margaritas and they don't seem to have a liquor license, so it's made with wine. It was okay, but everything else was great.

This is the place to stop for lunch on the way (or dinner on the way back) from Miami to the Everglades boat tour places on the Tamiami Trail. About 5 mins south of the highway in a strip mall. Food is way better -- and cheaper -- than anything you'll find on the highway or at the boat tour places. Real authentic Mexican street food, and (of course) Mexican Coke and beer to wash it down. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, big screen TV showing Mexican futbol.,

The food is great at the actual location. But I have ordered delivery twice and poor service. The first time, they came back twice because they left a portion of my order. Be aware, they also charge $6 for delivery and don't tell you.

I hate giving out 1star ratings, but this place deserves nothing more. We were seated rather quickly, but the quickness stopped right there. It took about 15 minutes for the server to get our drink order, but since this was a sign of things to come we ordered our meal right then. Drinks here come in the form of a can or a bottle. Don't expect fountain soda with free refills, I still don't understand the logic behind this. Also, don't expect the complimentary chips and salsa offered by most Mexican places. If you want chips you must pay for them. Everything here is A La carte, there are no platters, so if you want rice and beans or sour cream with your enchiladas you must pay for those. My enchiladas arrived about 20 minutes after, but my mom's meal did not, because it had to be redone as the cook messed up the order. Seeing how slow service was I decided to start eating, and what a dissapointment. Food was cold. Not even warm, it was cold. How a dish that just came out of the kitchen be cold is beyond my understanding. My mom's meal arrived a while later and that too was cold. There is only salt on the tables, no pepper or hot sauce of any kind. You must ask for hot sause and I'm sure there's a charge for that too. The waitress was pleasant, but obviously spread thin. I think there were two waiters for the whole restaurant on a Saturday evening. This is an upscale Taco Bell with very slow table service and horrible background music. $30.00 for a cold crappy meal is so upsetting. Never Again..

Oh my god I had so much hope for this place because it's close to my house what a s*** hole.. Bad food overpriced suck at service... Definitely never stopping by here again..smh.. The cook was arguing with the waitress over what is the plain taco.. She charged me for my chips that's an automatic anywhere you go Mexican restaurant they offer the chips and dip for free.. This place sucks never coming back I'm selecting one star cuz I have too .

I had high hopes for this restaurant when we walked in but I was soon very disappointed. After we sat down, we waited 10 minutes for our server to come to our table. It took another 20 minutes to get our drinks and orders in. We waited 20 minutes before asking where our food was, and the server told us the good was coming out. 20 minutes passed by, and our food still wasn't out. We decided to pay for our drinks and appetizer and leave. When we asked the server for the check, she showed attitude. We had to ask for the check 3 times before she finally told us we didn't have to pay for anyrhing. Our server kept telling us that the food was coming out and it was clear she didn't want us to pay and leave without eating, but she had a major attitude while she was talking to us. I'm giving this restaurant one star because of how delicious their guacamole was, but it was an overall bad first impression. Horrible service; no communication between table and server.

Awesome experience! (Saturday night) Came in because we had a coupon left at our door for free chips and gauc . We were seated immediately and asked for drinks within a couple minutes. She then brought us the drinks and was back to order the food within 5-10 mins. She brought out a small bowl of chips (free) for my daughters and a large bowl with a nice sized bowl of guac. Our food took about 15 mins to come out. I had 2 steak tacos (had to order cheese because they don't bring) they were delicious . I ordered my daughters the chicken quesadilla they loved it nice sized also. My husband got the torta which was much bigger than in the picture it had lots of flavor . We got the capricho for dessert which was absolutely delicious. We don't like to go out to eat much because we are very picky with the whole experience but this was an awesome experience the waitress was very sweet also. Will def come back :)

Overall a great value with good service.

Surprisingly authentic and crazy affordable. Enchiladas for example are only $5.99! The place is also nice and not too big. Very well decorated like you're in back in Mexico.

Visited this relatively new spot over the weekend with our family. It's your basic Mexican restaurant menu with a little flair on some items. There is a menu board to self order and or take-out but also waited table side service. The food was pretty good and visually as expected. However, we were seated in the rear of the restaurant in the wave of a giant floor fan that made it very breezy by dining room standards and made out food cool faster than expected. We were surprised to be service soda's in cans and disposable cups versus fountain poured drinks in hard plastic reusable cups. Overall it was "OK" and will stick to our favorite Mexican place.

My girlfriends family decide to check out this new Mexican place near their house. The facility looked nice and clean. They had some extra decorations for Cinco de Mayo at the time. Looking at the menu, nothing really caught my eye. It was your basic Mexican menu (chips, guac, tacos, quesadillas, etc). We all decided to have chips and guac as the appetizer and it wasn't bad. I decided to have the chicken quesadillas and I wasn't very impressed. The chicken had no flavor. The service wasn't all that great either. There are no free refills on sodas so if you like a lot of soda with your meal bring extra cash for the can Coke they provide. The overall experience wasn't terrible but I wasn't sold on the place. I don't see myself going back anytime soon but if I REALLY want Mexican food and I don't want to drive all the way to On the Border, I'll settle for this place...I guess.

Found this place a week ago and decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed, food was really good and the service was great. It was empty but I'm guessing it's because it's new to the area and not that many people know about it yet. I'm just glad that now I don't have to travel to timbuktu (homestead) to get a good Mexican meal.

Service is a bit slow but it adds to the authenticity-felt as if i was in Mexico City after leaving the office late at night. Skip the steak taco and get everything else...chorizo was awesome, as was carnita. I will be back again and again.

Great food, great prices. The fajitas portion was HUGE. I even ended up taking some home. Same with the chimichonga. When I went, they had buy one get one margaritas. The service can sometimes be a little slow (I attribute this to them being a new business), but if you order ahead and want to eat in their restaurant, they usually have it ready for you when you get there.

Love this place and people are very friendly. Food is great and pretty authentic. Love the Al Pastor tacos! Best we've had since Mexico. But make sure to order tacos with the corn "Mexican" tortillas. It makes a huge difference. Also, I'm not a fan of salting the rim of my glasses, so if you order a beer make sure to tell them to not salt it as they seem to salt all glasses by default.

Excellent shrimp tacos! Guacamole was really good also. We were trying to find somewhere to eat and we're really happy with the food.

My husband has been dying to check this place out since it opened. We had dinner here with our three children on Friday night. We were immediately seated although the place did have a few tables already. Our waitress was attentive and immediately brought out our drinks. We ordered margaritas and I couldn't drink it. Way too sweet - mostly mix. I ended up switching to beer. The guacamole was ok - loaded with onions but the chips were delicious. Crispy. The sauces they brought were spicy and tasted great. I had the shrimp tacos and they were good just not great. They don't have a kids menu so we ended up ordering from the regular menu for my 3 year old. Honestly I can't say that the food was good enough for me to come back but it wasn't terrible and it wasn't expensive. I will mention the music was great.

Love this place! Have visited twice now and each visit was delicious. Authentic Mexican food and great margaritas. Last time we tried the mango margarita and the flavor was perfect, not too sweet and still had the tangy margarita flavor. I have tried the tacos (chicken, pork, steak), quesadilla (steak), chips with guacamole (chips come with three tasty hot sauces.. the green one is my favorite!) and the tortas. All the food has been excellent. I am very happy to have a good Mexican restaurant located close to home now!

I have been reading some good review, so I had to go try it my self. I must say its not bad. But I paid $10.00 for a supreme burrito, It had more rice & beans then meat. Was really disappointed, for that price I should have had a lot more meat in side my burrito. The rice was not cook all the way, plus I ask the girl I could not eat anything that had anything green. The rice inside the burrito had green pea. the topping had cilantros which I had to remove my self. I would not go back.

We've been here twice with the kids within a week. The food is fresh, no frills Mexican fate of the sort which is hard to find in Kendall. I can report that the fish tacos, fajitas and substantial quesadillas are great. And the quatro leches is amazing for dessert. The staff is very friendly and the service is swift. Highly recommend for delicious casual Mexican. And they deliver!

We went there on a Thursday night and were seated right away. The food was good and tasted fresh. We all shared the chips and guacamole (and their hot sauces. My husband had a supreme burrito which he loved. My son had the flautas, my daughter had a pork torta, and I had tacos. Their "capricho" desert was amazing! Its a mix of flan, tiramisu, tres leches, and cake!

Food was ok. Nothing amazing but nothing terrible. Good to try someplace new but not where I'd come regularly. The guac was good but had huge chunks of onion so that onion flavor was there to stay, could've added some tomatoes and thinner chips. The tacos were soft tacos with grilled chicken tons of onion and some cilantro. Needed salt but added some guac to compensate. They offer some liquid cheese that could barely be tasted on the taco for $.50 a taco. Service was there but nothing amazing either.

My husband and I came here for lunch on a Saturday and we loved it.The food reminded me of Los Angeles Mexican places. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five was because the AC was off and they had large fans blowing towards us but it was still very hot.You just opened and you already have AC problems? No bueno but I would come back again.

I love their quesadillas and tacos, but they're definitely better at their Little Havana location. They're a bit saltier at their West Kendall location.

Lazy Sunday this was close to our house and we gave it a try. Hot has hell in not sure if something wrong with the air or they just don't turn it on no fans either. We ordered guacamole- not great ,salsa- not fresh & chips- okay. Taquitos -the steak was chewy & lettuce was brown. We had churassco & chorizo tacos- not bad not great. churassco burrito- chipotle is better. As we were eating I saw the waitress & a line cook taking food off the grill with their bare hands and eating it. At first I thought maybe it was something cooking for them but nope between the both of them while the cook had his back turned they took pieces of food off the grill and ate it several times. They both continued working with washing there hands GROSS !! I Will not be returning !!

Came here since it was on the way to our regular dinner spot and I couldn't be happier with this place. The service is spot on and the food couldn't be any better. Home cooked Mexican haven't found a place this authentic in Miami for good Mexican in a long time. A must try and I will be coming here regularly. So good!!!!!

Not really a fan. Had positive expectations for a new authentic Mexican place close to home. Here's a quick recap of my meal experience and the reason for the 3 stars. I ordered takeout and was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere. Seems like a cool place to hang out for a quick meal. There was lively music(maybe a little too loud for a sit down meal) but lively and energetic nonetheless. There were multiple occupied tables that seemed to be enjoying themselves. Now the not so great. My food when i got home. To start, most of it was lukewarm to cold. We ordered the red chicken enchiladas, steak tacos, carnitas tacos, and cheese and chorizo nacho chips. My enchiladas were on the dry side and the chicken wasn't shredded but cut up in chunks and folded between the tortillas. I've never had an enchilada where the chicken wasn't seasoned and shredded. I didn't like this one very much. The whole thing fell to pieces when trying to eat it and the chicken pieces would fall out and leave my fork with just pieces of tortilla on it. The cheese&chorizo dip was odd. Not saucy at all. More like a chorizo picadillo melded together with cheese and it had an off plasticky taste to it. It was weird and not very good. My husband said his tacos were just ok and stated he's had much better around town. It was fun trying a new place. Not so much fun throwing my food away.

Very upset.. I pulled up at 9:45 pm and they already had the doors locked and the server saw me at the door and did not acknowledge me or anything. The signs on the door says to 10 pm. Definitely will not come back!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
