Server was nice enough, good atmosphere. I got the Caesar salad which was good sized. Not happy that they charge for refills. If someone chooses to sit down at a restaurant in an airport and pay the ridiculous prices the restaurants charge they should at least give free refills... We could have gotten refills at the cheap step up places at the airport.

I stopped by Corona Beach House when I was on vacation to Miami and had some time to waste before my flight was leaving so I decided to have a few beers and some appies. I thought I was hungry until I realized I couldn't even nearly finish the nachos I ordered which were so good. Enough for two! I really like my waiter cause he kept asking if I was good with my beers so I didn't have to ask myself. He was really on top of things. Time flew by as I watched the people pass by sipping my cold corona and before I knew it, it was time to go. CBH is a good spot to chill out before your flight!

Great food prices are not execessive. Great place to catch a bite to eat before heading out on a trip

I got a quesadilla which was very good but i found out during dinner that sodas did NOT have free refills. This is the first restaurant in the US I have ever seen with charging for soda refills. I probably will find another restaurant next time due to this.

Decent place to get something to eat and drink before a flight.

Stopped here again, and it did not disappoint. This time I tried the pork tacos (on special), and my husband had the shrimp taco salad. It looked very fresh, and he said it was delicious! It was pretty busy this time, but everything came out quickly, and the customer service was great. Very friendly staff. I'm growing to love this place, and I will definitely be back!

The food was expensive. For the price I was expecting for the food to be delicious, it was not tasty at all, I had the scallops (which the waitress recommended as the best meal on the menu), it was a big disappointment!

Exceeds expectations. Yelp also provided a free 'coronita' (mini Corona). Corona burger was 1/2 lb and cooked medium was perfect. Dont pay extra for the fries -- the chips are fantastic. Guacamole that comes with Corona burger is delish, salsa is just OK, but the onioniness is welcomed after bland airplane food. I'm a microbrew connoisseur, but have to admit that Corona tastes great after a long flight.

We stopped in for lunch before our flight. The place is clean. The service was ok at the beginning. It got worse when I had to send back the rolls since the menu didn't say that they would have cheddar cheese in them. I told my server that the menu only says Jack cheese and she said that the menu says both. After checking, she realized that she was wrong, so she was pretty short after this. The menu also said that the turkey burger was fresh meat, but it tasted and looked like a patty. So, the food was not good. The signature cocktail menu was limited, but they do have a full bar. I always like to try the signature cocktails for restaurants but nothing caught my eye so I had apple juice. Finally, I always tip more than 20 percent. There was an 18 percent gratuity included, which is probably why our server, Jennifer N, was not interested in giving great service. I would usually tip on top of the 18 percent gratuity, but in this case, I did not. Food and service could use some improvement..

Was a pleasant surprise compared to most airport places. Doc the bartender was great to chat with, the beers were nice and cold and the tables were not so jammed in that you couldn't navigate with your luggage - a classic irritation in airports. Had a burger that was pretty darn good. Worth walking to if you have a long layover because it is a relaxing set up and you can watch the TVs

Check-In problem: There is a problem with the location as it shows up on the mobile app. Although it is properly listed as Terminal D, Gate 23, it shows up on the wrong place on the map. This is important because Yelp refused to allow me to check-in, saying something like "Too far away to check-in". This was NOT a problem with my GPS (Google Maps on my phone showed my GPS as standing right in front of the Corona Beach house), but rather a problem with the location coordinates that Yelp thinks Corona Beach House is located. Hopefully Management can work with Yelp to fix this. Now onto my review.... The manager was very cool, and despite the fact that we were unable to check-in because of the Yelp bug / miscoordinates, he still comped both my wife and I a free Coronita as the Yelp check-in offer would have given us. The Tequila chicken provided a very large amount of chicken breast, and a pretty good size of broccoli and rice. The chicken was moist enough (though a hair moister would have been better) and came out nice and hot; the flavor of it was fine, but it leaned a little bit on the salty side. As for the salsa that came with it,that could definitely be improved upon (it tasted like Pace Picante; there is got to be something better that wouldn't run them too much more per serving). Both my wifes meal and mine were 3 stars for the flavor, but 4 stars for the value. The service is what took this place from a 3 star review to a 4 star review. Not only did the manager honor the check-in offer [despite Yelp not allowing us to check-in], but also our server, Marc, was super friendly and really on top of it.

Best bar I've been to on my visit to Miami. The gang at the Beach House made us never want to leave. Had me laughing the whole way through. Beers were cold, limes were great! HOMEGIRL!

  • Danica G.

Gio was or server and he was completely rude and inappropriate, he was sarcastic and attempted to steal my friend's purse. He put a glass of wine behind our computer and when no one saw it was there and moved the computer, the wine spills, he refused to get another one and was so mean to us afterwards. The manager came to try to fix the situation and he was nicER and replaced the wine but very unhappy with the service.

We were wandering the terminal looking for food during our layover and the g/f liked the Beach House Salmon (grilled filet) option on the menu and I was eying the Chimichurri Steak Big plates of pretty good food (for an airport) The salmon was cooked to well done (we prefer rare to med-rare), but still moist and the brocoli wasn't cooked to death ( yelp.com/biz_photos/coro… ). I didn't like the Chimichurri sauce that much (and, iirc, the menu said it would be on the side yelp.com/biz_photos/coro… ) Still, the steak was cooked medium rare as requested ( yelp.com/biz_photos/coro… ). Not sure on the cut (bavette? hanger?), but pretty tender too. Servers were friendly and reasonably attentive. 3.5 stars for the food. Rounding up for the service.

During our holdover at Miami Airport. My girlfriend and I decided to find a quick spot to dine prior to our flight departing. We found Corona Beach House. The food was excellent. It was fresh, hot and fast. Our waiter (Gio) was the best. He had great customer service and great personality. There was a small mistake with our order, but it was quickly rectified by Gio and the manager (Roy) who was also great in the way he handled this situation. The manager (Roy) offered us an appetizer and free beer for the inconvenience. We refused, but I thought it was a great gesture for a small mistake. Roy also spent time conversing with us, which you don't find often. Great food! Great customer service! If you're at the Miami Airport. I highly recommend you visit the Corona Beach House.

Let me first start off by saying wow! Great customer service. I didn't catch my waiters name, but he was so bubbly and full of energy. Kept my water cup full and was so positive about everything. I can't believe that I was going to pass this place up for something else. I initially saw it and said eh, but then we came back and I regret not just stopping by the first time. Corona burger - made just how I asked, medium. It came with chips, guacamole, and salsa. The chips were kettle baked, which taste yummy and the guac and salsa made for a good sauce to add in the burger. Chicken wings - I swear these were on steroids because how huge they were! The taste was amazing and perfectly crisped with the addition of buffalo sauce on the side to dip. This made the dish 10 x better having the sauce on the side allowing the inside to get that buffalo taste, but also I swear they added something in there to make it more spicy, which was amazing. On the down fall, I would say these are a little pricy, 5 for $10, but for the taste and quality, its worth it. This is one airport restaurant worth going to!

  • James H.

Food was ok... My main complaint is the manager or who ever he is. It was a tall guy with glasses that walked to every table and asked how is everyone which I thought was nice. What made me mad is that he didn't stop and ask us how's everything. Each time he walked right past us. I believe he's racist because there wasn't any other black people in this place. I will not recommend this place to anyone of color. I felt disrespected. Other than that the food was O.K. Simple.

Great food, cold beers and friendly staff. The tacos are amazing! If I ever come back to Miami I would definitely come back.

Our regular hang-out during transit. Always have a drink and a good dinner between flights over here. The food is good, the workers are mostly friendly and the bill not to high. So good food for a good privé on an airport.

Here I go.....leaving MIA for cold New York. Of vourse I have enough time to stop at my fav MIA spot...CBH. Rowena, Frenchy and the usual gang slinging good times...good food....cild beer. If you can check it out...swwet spot for sure. Later....

  • Katie T.

Nothing special. Ordered chips and salsa and all of the chips were crushed in little pieces. Also ordered pork tacos apparently made in green chilies...but didn't taste that at all. Lastly, the salsa isn't salsa...it's tomato chunks. Won't be back next time I come to this airport.

Had some time to kill before my flight, so I popped in here for a drink and a quick bite. Drink: Margorona= Delicious-ness.... Food: Salmon= More-Deliciousness Staff was very friendly and attentive. Service was great and on point, would definitely come back, well only if I'm going through MIA again! :)

I got the Margarona ($17 and change after tax and automatically added tip). It tasted really good and had the perfect consistency and the beer was decent especially for a Corona. The bartender was also super friendly and the service was very fast as well. Great place to chill if you are at MIA and have some spare time. It's located near D24 in the American Airlines terminal.

  • Lindsay M.

Marc was our waiter and he was insanely helpful, quick, polite, professional and helped us get in and out quickly. We had a large group that kept growing, but he did an amazing job to help us. WE LOVE MARC! The food was also good for airport food.

If you have time to kill while at MIA this is a nice spot for drinks and appetizers. I stopped here with 5hrs to kill with a huge Margarita, the spin off it had a tiny Corona in the middle of the glass.... Beer in my Margarita oh yeah!!! Looking for a place in town that does it. Planning on a future stop for a different flavor.

It's an airport bar/restaurant, my general rule is to ask if the time you have left before boarding is sufficient to prepare, deliver and you to consume the meal. Fortunately sat at the bar, the seated area was busy, lots of connecting flights, the staff looked and even said they were overwhelmed. Gentleman I sat next to was struggled with friend fish and chips, and had the glum expression many of the previous reviewers appeared to carry. To my left was a different story, a fresh looking mahi mahi sandwich and a content customer, which I also tried and was very happy with. It's a bright place, food can be a mixed blessing and as it's near the international gates you might be better of waiting for the meal on board the plane. I would order the mahi mahi sandwich again if I had no other choice, and forgotten to try the food in the main concourse. The automatic gratuity was a little cheeky especially for bar service.

Waited 10 min for a iced tea refill.. Waitresses too busy talking to each other and on their phones. Built in 18% tip to your bill. Service was definately not woth 18%.

    (2)
  • Chris K.

Outstanding service. Nachos rocked! The chicken sandwich was a bit dry. Overall great place. Lots of TVs and cold beer. Perfect place to pass time while waiting on your plane.

  • Benjiman B.

Let me preface by saying that my standards are low for an airport eatery but this place is terrible even by those standards $14 for a greasy tasteless chimichanga and my wife paid the same for an almost completely lettuce salad with 5 shrimp. On top of that they add 18% gratuity to all checks. Also no free water. Only Fuji, pelegrino, and Perrier... You can do better tastewise and pricewise even in an airport...

  • Liz G.

Me and my boyfriend had a few hours to kill on our connecting flight so we gave this restaurant a shot. I had the steak wrap and he had the fish special, the food was great! You definitely have to try their chips, I believe its home made. I was shocked when I came home and read so many bad reviews, but I guess we all have different experiences. I say it's worth a shot.

    (3)
  • Amy W.

Awful service. They automatically add an 18% gratuity for "extraordinary service" so the servers and bartenders don't care at all about their guests. It's an airport so of course it's expensive but seeing their staff talk about inappropriate things while giving each other massages, and then touch each other's hair before delivering food left without an appetite and desire to go back.

    (1)
  • Luis L.

Service was fantastic and the food prices are typical for airport pricing. They also gave me a free corona with a coupon I had.

    (5)
  • Pam D.

The corona burger was quick to arrive and tasty. The service staff was easy going and helpful... But I have NEVER spent $15 on a small shot of tequila in my long life. The pre-charged gratuity is unfortunate because had I paid a reasonable amount for my beverage I probably would have tipped more, but this was clearly not the way to express my appreciation for the service. Bad business plan!

  • Walter C.

First off - the menu is uninspiring even by airport standards. I'm not a picky eater by any means (I'll eat anything) - my problem was the menu was mostly fried garbage. No thanks. Second off - the service was awful. While my wife ate, I downed a diet pepsi fountain drink. The waitress walked by our table 6-7 times and never once asked if I wanted a refill. Third off - when I finally got the waitress to get me a refill, she informed me they charge for refills. Its common knowledge that fountain soda is dirt cheap for the restaurant to purchase, hence why even the biggest dive will provide free refills. Its insulting that I paid $9 for three diet pepsi's! Never again, eating here was a regrettable mistake.

  • Alie A.

Lordy, Lordy..talk about expensive..or was it just me? Grabbed a quick dinner here while waiting for a flight. Got the chicken and swiss BLT with fries. Pricey, but then again, they can charge whatever they see fit, seeing that it is airport food,.and everyone is desperately trapped and starving. Good bar food..little bar, some decent terminal people watching, and standard expectations seem to be met.

    (3)
  • Lisa S.

If you've got a few hours to kill at the Miami airport, this is a good place to grab a bite. I had the Caesar salad which was good sized. The nachos are good too, but quite small for the price. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Be forewarned though, they charge you for every single refill sooooo you may wanna sip your drink extra slow! ;)

I was traveling back from Jamaica to Dallas, and Corona looked like a fun, quick meal at the airport. The food was decent, came out quickly, and the bar had a good atmosphere. However, my boyfriend and I had a negative experience. 1. They have a new rule that they will not serve you tap water. You have to buy bottled water. What's with that?? 2. A substitution from chips to fries is $4. This was not told to us when we switched sides. 3. I asked for onions with my burger and was told I had to have asked before it was served. They can't bring out additional items after food is placed. Really, you can't bring onion? 4. There's an automatic 18% service charge added - even if you had bad service. Overpriced with bad service. The only saving grace was the big TVs.

  • Smart G.

If service sucks, I ask them to remove the "convenient" 18% gratuity.

September 24, 2011 Saturday - lunch 11:45 AM Myself Atmosphere - 4 stars Food - 3 stars Service - 4 stars Background - I just picked on one of the restaurants in the airport this time. Atmosphere - A small bar restaurant with the tables crammed into the place. Why would you do this in an airport when everyone is carrying bags? I know the premium cost of the space, more people served can reduce the cost of rent. Food Appetizer - none today. Main Course - I went with the Corona burger. The burger had Angus beef with two slices of different cheese, two slices of bacon, lettuce and a slice of tomato. There was nothing special with this burger. The potato chips were warm being freshly cooked and burnt. You could have substituted with fries but that was four dollars more, French fries really four dollars. Dessert - I don't even know if it was there, it was not offered, but I did have my credit card out indicating I want my bill? Service - The waiter I had was fine, he was friendly but the way he told you about prices was a little off putting. Future - Probably will try the other restaurants while here next time.

Like others, I needed a small lunch between flights. I stumbled on this place. The Corona burger was OK, as was the server. What annoyed me was the automatic 17% service charge to my bill. What? This in an airport. $24 for a burger, water and coke? Stay away.

This was what I e-mailed to their Let Us Know About Your Visit e-mail: I very rarely fill out comment cards or e-mail reviews. My recent visit to you restaurant earned special recognition in my mind. It Really Sucked. First, a included tip does not ensure great service or whatever the BS line on your menu was. What is does in ensure that the wait staff doesn't care because they know that 18% is guaranteed. For people that don't read closely and normally would tip 15-20% it is a rip off because they add it not realizing they have already paid 18%. Second, I was surprised that soft drinks didn't have refills. The vast majority place in the US have this as standard so I was surprised. Not a deal blower, but a disappointment. Third, once I realized I could not get a refill I asked for a glass of water. Sorry, no tap water here, you have to buy a bottle of water. One of the great things about the US is we have incredible clean, safe tap water. Just put it in a glass and serve it. I should not have to get a wasteful product like bottled water. I will compliment your staff for being apologetic and bringing a complimentary warm bottle of water. No cup of ice, but better than nothing. Finally, the food. I had the rolls app and the pork shank. The rolls were ok in taste, but visually unappealing and the dipping sauce left a lot to be desired and the pork shank was dry. I would not recommend this place to my friends. Receipt information: 390674.1 Zayri G Table 301 Wed 05/15/13 7:40 pm Guests 1 Total bill $34.02 including 18% "Gratuity" ($4.86)

Average food but overpriced, they don't give you tap water and charge $3 for bottled water. Also they add 18% tip automatically

"Ordered Coconut Shrimp. It was overpriced for the portion size but I expected that at an airport. Food tasted okay. Pomegranate Margarita was the bomb diggity! Didn't like the automatic gratuity but I understand why."

  • Darwin M.

Well I had a 4hr layover, and I didn't have high expectations of this place, most airport restaurants are average and over price, but this place was good, the corona burger was really good + the bartenders and staff are friendly and attentive.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
