Love the customer service and the food. I went here because my cousin recommended this place and I was craving conch. When went on a Saturday night around 8pm and it was pretty packed to the point where everyone was standing waiting for their food. Because it's packed the women didn't know who ordered and who didn't nor did they greet us when we walked in. But after our order was taken 15mins after walking in ... The women who took our order were friendly and helpful by answering my questions...... We waited another 30 mins for our food to be ready. I believe next time I go I'll probably call in my order first so I can cut the wait time. Anyways I ordered 2 rum cakes, mac&cheese , conch salad, peas&rice , conch fritters and a goombay punch for about 30$. Overall not a bad spot of you want conch and willing to wait . I will definitely be coming back for more :)

It was a fluke that we landed in this seafood restaurant a few Saturdays ago. Sorry, sorry** Bad pun, I know but it just came out! The occasion was Johnny T's "Eat Like a Local" series, an unofficial Yelp event in which we explore different off the beaten path restaurants featuring ethnic dishes. This week was s'pposed to be in what used to be called the Westview neighborhood named after the Westview Country Club on 119 Ave just East of 27 Ave. The Country club is no longer thought the building remains as I don't know what. In any case, the plan was to go to the A&W Root beer stand and hamburger joint that's been there since the 60'. Trouble was, there was a Closed sign on the door due to an oil leak..something like that. So out came Rony's trusty Yelp mobile app and "nearby" was selected. Right nearby was the Conch Heaven Restaurant with some pretty decent reviews. Texting the latecomers, (me) so as not to get lost, we all assembled in this very clean, brightly lit room and enjoyed a meal consisting of Bahamian and Jamaican food. We all ordered something different so we were able to sample a nice assortment of goodies, like steamed snapper, conch fritters, cracked conch, Jerk chicken, and I believe oxtails which I had a miniscule taste of.. All lunch plates came with sides that were distinctly Caribbean such as Johnny Cakes, and macaroni and cheese but a sort of square pancake of it, Very tasty. I enjoyed it all especially my cracked conch ( which for non Floridians is pronounced like "Konk.") They also have a several alcoholic drinks on the menu and we sampled Sky Juice and Bahama Mama. There are also beers like Bud, Guiness, Red Stripe, Kalik, and Smirnoff and wines by the glass and bottle. Service was gracious and very good. Our requests were met with a smile and questions about how we were enjoying everything. No problem requesting separate checks and by the time we were laving about 3pm, the place was starting to fill up Ya, it's no longer the best neighborhood but it's on a main drag right across from Miami Dade College and has it's own ample parking lot and back door to go in and it never occurred to me that I should be wary.. I really do want to go back and sample some other island fare! They also cater. ** no I'm not!

Great food and service everytime we go. I love everything about Conch Heaven. I really like the fact that the owner has invested in the restaurant with all the recent upgrades. I've been going to the restaurant for nearly 4 years and as long as they keep making those delicious conch fritters and sky juice I'll be a customer.

Conch Heaven is one of those restaurants that, if you simply driving around looking for a promising place to eat, would be totally off your radar. It's in a not great neighborhood (although it does sit right across from a Miami-Dade College campus), and the restaurant itself looks pretty sketchy from the outside. Inside, it is a bit less rough, but it still looks like a converted house -- which definitely give a "eating in your aunt's kitchen" vibe to the whole thing. This very much fits the Bahamian cuisine. If you like Bahamian food, then this place is a win, since it's authentic. If you haven't tried Bahamian food, it's a good experience and, for out-of-towners, a good taste of a city that's the gateway to the Caribbean. As the name implies, they do indeed have conch, both fried (conch fritters) and conch salad. They also have Bahamian traditional favorites like peas 'n rice, jerk chicken, and johnny cakes. My wife enjoyed her steamed fish, which was cooked in foil with a variety of veggies. Likewise, the Jerk chicken was properly seasoned and well cooked. We got to sample some of the conch fritters, and they tasted like... conch fritters. I will say that there was a bit more conch in them than is often the case (in many cases in which you wouldn't even know it had meat in it) It's not a place I would personally go out of my way to eat, but if you are looking for authentic Bahamian food, it fits that bill.

You have Cuban, Haitian and Jamaican restaurants that flood the South Florida market, however there are not too many Bahamian restaurants in South FL. Here we introduce Conch Heaven (formerly known as Goldie's) which has amazing fried seafood. This restaurant has plenty of indoor seating and is located directly across Miami Dade's community college. Upon entering you will notice two doors, one for access to the dining room and the other which is a bar area. You must go to the bar area to order your food. I must admit that the bar area is small but there is a TV so that you can watch popular sport events. I ordered cracked (fried) conch and cracked (fried) lobster. I also had conch fritters with potato salad, mac n cheese and goombay soda (a Bahamian soft drink). The conch here is fresh and is the real deal. Tender and not chewy. The highlight for me though was the cracked lobster, never have I had such flavorful and crispy lobster, I also loved the potato salad which had red pepper to give it a little kick. This is a must try if your into Carribean foods!

Ok ok...went back today and I've changed my mind! The food was GREAT! I truly enjoyed every morsel. My last visit, I thought my food was a little bland. Today, it IS ON POINT! Grant it, the staff isn't that nice. They aren't rude either. They just simply seem to be about getting those orders out...nothing more, nothing less! As a matter of fact, the woman behind the counter acknowledged me by raising her eyebrows at me but not a word came out. A few minutes later, my food was packaged up and I was on my way. I chose not to dine in because back in MY DAY, I used to hang out on this part of town. Back then it wasn't safe and I don't think it's gotten any better now so I was in and out. So yeah, I really enjoyed the food but I do have one gripe. The conch portion was so small. I paid $14 and change for my food and the amount of conch I was given was the same amount I got on the lunch special the last time I was here. A few pieces of conch with a lot of rice and peas. I was full from sides but I wish I had conch for left overs. Oh well! The food was good and I'm sure I'll be back because I am a Miami Girl! Conch is a very important part of my life!

I'd heard of Conch Heaven back when it was Goldies (yes they are/were a part of the Goldies in Nassau) but never ventured there as a) I can already get acceptable Bahamian food close to my house and b) other reviews had made me believe it was in a bit of a rough neighborhood. Anyways, my father noticed that Conch Heaven was on restaurant.com and was looking to get rid of a gift card. He was missing home and was in the mood for conch, so off we went, although I did warn him about the neighborhood. After a 20minute drive we arrived. Yes the neighborhood is a little sketchy, but compared to most of the hole-in-the-wall places it wasn't anything awful. We walked in a grabbed a table - nothing fancy inside, and not many other people eating in (granted it was a Thursday night and I've heard they do most eat-in service on Sundays after church of course). This is probably a place to stick to take-out during the week and we did see a lot of take-out patrons. We were given menus and orders were placed. Prices were reasonable for dinner portions (think HUGE portions as Bahamian's like to eat) and the staff was reasonably friendly - a Jamaican took our orders but a Bahamian came out and made conversation with us and joked about Kalik Gold with my dad. My dad's gf wanted wine - which was limited to moscato or white zinfandel (typical Bahamian taste buds) so don't go there expecting much on the wine. The food came out - 4 heaping plates. Two of us had cracked conch, I had steamed conch and another had fried snapper. Each dish came with peas and rice and 2 additional sides, so I was able to try their macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, Johnny cake and steamed cabbage. Luckily for me they also had guava duff that night so I had a big bowl! The food breakdown - Cracked conch - 3 stars, they need to beat it a bit more. Steamed conch - 3 stars, different from how I make it as it had a marinara taste instead of just tomato paste. Fried Snapper - 5 stars, perfect. Peas and Rice - 5 stars, perfect. Coleslaw - 5 stars, perfect. Macaroni - 4 stars, pretty good. Steamed cabbage - 4 stars. Johnny Cake - 4 stars. Guava Duff - 4 stars, could have used a hint more rum ;) All in all, if I was in the area I'd be back in a heartbeat, but for now my closer Bahamian spot will serve my needs. Portions were huge so you could easily make 2 or 3 meals out of one dinner. Prices were reasonable and the food was authentic.

I love this place for authentic Bahamian conch salad. Their macaroni and cheese is also true Bahamian style. Ambiance...maybe not, but the staff is always friendly and the food is consistently good.

The conch, shrimp, and fish are not what they use to be when it was Goldie's, but the service was good and I needed spot that wasn't crowded. We didn't eat the rice and the potato salad was somewhat dry for my taste, but it's across from MDC and not crowded on a Friday night. Don't expect to get a bang for your buck!

Conch Heaven for the save. Back when our cabal of yelpers entered in to the restaurant on a rainy (monsoon-like, really) Saturday, I had root beer on my mind. We'd planned on dining on drive-in fare in the Westview area of Miami but a grease fire nixed those plans. Not being at all familiar with this part of the city, Rony Mo utilized the handy dandy Yelp app and found a suitable Plan B. After eating here, it was, certainly, worthy of being a Plan A. Conch A has regulars and, I imagine, that if you aren't from around these parts, there's little chance you'll experience what it has to offer... and that's too bad. Even for Miami, Conch Heaven serves a nice slice of Caribbean life that is sure to lift you out of your doldrums. How? Booze. Brightly-colored, sweet booze. One sip of my Bahama Mama rum cocktail and I was ready for a good time. Even better, these bad boys were served in pint glasses and were pretty affordable. Had I known, I would have gotten someone else to drive. I was sad to limit my intake because I could have put a hurt on those bad boys... before they put a hurt on me. If you decide on adding something solid to your liquid lunch, you're in good shape. The food is exactly what you might imagine. Start your meal off with conch fritters. After all, you *are* in Conch Heaven. For $6, you get 12 fritters. What?? Insane. Awesome. Pile it up. My chicken curry (gigantic with a sweet, rather than hot, curry) came with two sides: white rice & baked mac & cheese. I.gorged. Seriously. I couldn't stop eating. No, this isn't haute cuisine. What this is is Sunday, post-church dinner at your Auntie Clara's (Bobby's wife from the islands) house. The only substitution is that your red drink isn't Kool-Aid; it's booze. This is comfort food at its blue-sky, lazy day, sand-between-your-toes best. And, the real kicker? Everything that I ordered (including tax but not tip) came out to $20. Yep. This was no part of Miami with which I was familiar.

MMMMMMM, good!!!! I was referred to this place by the folks at Goldie's Conch house in Nassau bc I was raving about the amazing yet simple conch salad. A bit far from home but no doubt worth the drive. Not open air like the one in Nassau but charming, still, with paintings of Goldie (they call him that bc of all of is gold teeth) all around. We ordered the conch salad (of course) and a seafood dish that was served in an aluminum foil bowl sort of thing. It had so much flavor and in a broth that was seriously out of this world. And don't get me started on the Johnny Cake that comes with the meal! Very slightly sweet and is edible at any and all times of the day. My friend and I went on a Sunday so we enjoyed people watching; the old ladies that had apparently just gotten out of church wearing their big beautiful hats! The service, although a bit slow, was extremely friendly. Do yourself a favor and go!!!

The grilled snapper was absolutely amazing. We drove from the beach and it was def worth the drive. If you're looking for a beautiful 5 star restaurant this isnt it but the food was definitely good. This was my cheapest but 1ew meal while in Miami. Id def come back

Having spent 2 days down in the Keys, our biggest gripe was the only conch we got to experience were conch fritters (think hush puppies with bits of conch). Conch heaven is a typical diner setting without the glam, but definitely a MUST for those that love simple, good food (esp. conch). We had the scorched conch appetizer (resembles ceviche with lots of yummy sliced conch) & cracked conch with plantains. Totally hit the spot & will definitely be back the next time we're in the area. Fabulous food & nice service.

The second best conch I have had in my life. the first best was in the Bahamas. The atmosphere leaves much to be desired, but remember your not here for white table cloths and servers in suites.

By far this place is no where near haven or heaven! Conch burger tasted ok but the bun was soggy and falling apart. The potato salad tasted spoiled. I had to exchange it for fries & the conch fritters are way too greasy!! Customer service is lacking personality. Based on the quality of the food, the price matches it well. I gave it a {2 stars} and that's being nice.

I threw an event there for some volunteers and we had a great time. Hennessey, the manager is a stand up guy and the wait staff was very friendly. Being from the West Coast, I've never had Bahamian seafood before. The Conch fritters were too good. Sorry cholesterol levels : / These guys are a great contributor and asset to the local community. If you're ever nearby the NW Dade college campus, check them out.

First time here and I must say don't judge from appearance if you are from out of town. The food is good and will not disappoint one bit. I had the jerk chicken and fried shrimp which was really good and the coleslaw is on point as well. Highly recommend!!!

This place is as legit as it gets. Conch salad excellent and actually has a lot of conch in it. Their fried conch is to die for. My only issue is that I have not been able to replicate their sauces lol!!! It really has no competitors

Eating at Conch Heaven saves me airfare to Nassau...conch salad and cracked conch as good as under the bridge. Easy to find and worth going to that part of town if you have a must have conch salad urge!!!

It's now called Conch Heaven. From my understanding, there has been a recent change in management, but the staff at the restaurant still remains the same. I was in South Florida for business and could not leave until I had some conch. I chose this spot based on past reviews even though they are from '08. Conch Heaven did not disappoint. The food is absolutely excellent. Conch salad, cracked conch, and an ice cold Kalik beer ... That's all you need to know. The food and the atmosphere made me feel like I was back in the Bahamas. The service is warm and friendly, thank you Connie and staff. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

My bf, being a native of South Florida, wanted to find a conch spot off the beaten path during our vacation in Miami. So after a little searching on Yelp and Miami New Times, we detoured from South Beach and decided to head into town to try Conch Heaven, formerly known as Goldie's Conch House. We both ordered the cracked conch dinner, which came with three sides. Mine included cabbage and plantains, while my bf had the mac & cheese and peas with rice. We agreed the conch and its accompanying sauce were good, though my bf said he's been to other conch spots were the conch is a bit crunchier and therefore even better tasting. I thought his sides were better than mine, and his Goombay punch reminded me of pineapple soda. I would definitely go back and try the ox tails!

The 1st 2 times i dined at this location the conch was okay not as good as my normal spot but it passed but the 3rd time I was accompanied by my cousin visiting from north florida we normaly hit up Hammad American Bahamian Kitchen which is normally our go to spot for conch but we were being lazy not wanting to take the drive to 79th street and decided to stop at conch heaven. Well it was a big dissapointment the conch & fries were cold and had no flavor which was a waste of my $11 the only thing i enjoyed was the goombay punch.

Good food, generous portion, and friendly service. I ordered the cracked conch with rice, and the waitress brought me a plate with french fries instead. When I asked her, she immediately said, yes, you did order rice, give me a minute. I took a bite of the fries, decided that it's quite delicious, so I went to the counter and told the girl, don't worry about the rice, I'll just keep the fries. The girl, however, showed me the box of pea and rice in her hand, and said, but I still want you to try it! She gave me a look which suggested that if I refuse the rice she'd be so crestfallen she'd need therapy... While there I saw a customer ordered the fried crab, which looked absolutely delicious. I'd definitely be back to try it! Tip: after you park your car in the lot, entrance is at the far left, the door with a little ramp. Took me a while to figure it out so I'm saving you some trouble. : )

Great authentic Bahamian food. Tastes like I am back at home. If you are familiar with the typical local Bahamian culture and by local culture I don't mean Atlantis, but real down home Bahamian culture, you would appreciate this place. All of the food is great and the service has improved tremendously. I would recommend this place to everyone. For those of you that came and did not like the service, I suggest you come back and give it another chance. The food is definitely worth it.

I usually order the crack conch, it is pretty tasty, I think some of there menu items are a bit expensive, the conch salad in particular, $11 is a bit much. But all in all the food is a fresh quick bite if you in the mood for some fried up seafood.

Conch Heaven is amazing! Across from Miami-Dade northm they serve conch reptty much any way you can imagine. If you have a craving - this is the place. I've been picking up the conch salad to go lately too.

Ok, so just got back in town and was craving conch since I couldn't get it where I was. Decided to go here to get dinner for me and my family. Staff was very pleasant and attentive. I ordered a conch dinner with peas and rice, mac and cheese, and cabbage, conch and fries, snapper and fries, 2 orders of wings and fries, and finally conch fritters. First the conch - it was bland no seasoning and very tough very disappointing. I threw it away Peas and rice - good flavor, but what is peas and rice with no meat? Mac and cheese - good flavor. Snapper - just ok. Wings - over cooked and no flavor. Cabbage - OK and a little over cooked. Conch fritters - they should simply be called hush puppies because I couldn't find any conch in them. After spending almost 80 bucks on the food I was very disappointed. Finally, will I go back here again NEVER!

If you are new, after you park in the back parking lot, look for the furthest door on the left side. That is where you enter the restaurant to dine in. There is a separate room for people to wait if you just wanted to order take out food. Overall, good service, friendly locals, and good food. Daily lunch specials include a side item. When you walk in the restaurant, pick any table and seat yourself. Good place for large table parties as well. Server will come and greet you to take your order. After ordering, it would be a good idea to ask for more napkins and more lemon or lime. If you have a large party, they'll give you a large pitcher of water. Conch was what my family was craving, especially my Mom. LOL. Conch fritters could be better...certain family members mentioned it was lacking the natural conch juice flavor. True...also, there were only small bits of conch within. I preferred the crack conch. The battered conch pieces were more enjoyable. This item is kid friendly as well. Fried crabs were good. There were 2 crabs per plate order. Grouper fingers were delicious! Loved the fresh fish within. Must try this one again if ever in town. Side of french fries were good too. The other two sides were peas n' rice and potato salad. Rice was plain with no flavor. Potato salad was good to fill you up. Fried shrimp was fine. They were topped above head lettuce salad. So, that was the only veggie besides all the other deep fried goodies. Conch salad is a must here! Love the generous amounts of chopped conch, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, and love the combined flavor with the citrus juices.

Place is dirty, old boxes, trash, dirty tables, walls, floors, its disgusting. I was going to give it a try because Of the Yelp reviews but man this place is rundown and dirty. If the place is this way can't imagine how the kitchen is inside. I sat down looked around for about 10 minutes and got up and left during this time no one came to the table except for the plastic table menus. Overall nasty to the core.

I came just for the Conch fritters and they're as real as u can get. You can actually see and taste the Conch inside and u get ALOT 12 for $6...It's not just a conch restaurant they have fish and lobster too and a few sides u can get are Peas and rice.. It's good for ordering to go but I ate there

I've been here over a million times and I always refer it to friends or family whenever they are traveling to Miami from out of town. If you want a taste of the Bahamas without actually spending the money to go there then this is the right spot. You won't be able to order enough unless you order the entire menu.
