High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Burrito San, thank you so much for opening up in Miami. You are exactly what Miami needs. Hole in the wall, innovative, affordable, amazing food. That is exactly what it is. ASIAN NACHOS This is a must. The chips were large wontons topped with tomotoes, fresh avocado, ginger braised tofu and a creamy cilantro sauce. It originally came with pork that we subbed for the tofu. This really was amazing and set the tone; so the Asian Nachos are a must. SAUCY TOFU ROLL The exterior is a seaweed wrap and then brown rice (you can get white rice) with ginger braised tofu, avocado, crispy wonton crisps, shredded carrots, organic field greens, & black bean sauce all wrapped inside. I did think it was a little dry, so then I asked for a side of creamy cilantro sauce from the nachos and of course it took my burrito to the next level. Definite must if you order the saucy tofu roll. My favorite part was the crunch from the wonton crisps. Also I have to say that this is some of the best tofu that I have ever tried and I have tried A LOT of tofu. Tender and not chewy. Welcome to Miami, Burrito San. You better not go anywhere.

Anyone who knows me at all, even a little bit, know that I'm pretty passionate about both sushi and burritos. So when I found out that someone had the brilliant idea to combine my two great loves I was instantly, automatically sold. I came here to have lunch with one of my best friends this past weekend. She's also a big sushi lover, so we both opted for the one raw fish burrito, the Mt. Fuji. From the first bite we were floored. This sushi burrito was out of this world delicious. I told her I could already see myself craving it sometime soon. Even though it's a good sized portion for $11-12, "sometime soon" ended up being a half an hour later or so when we ordered a third one to split between the two of us. Yes, we're monsters, but it was totally worth it. Even though the Mt. Fuji blew me away, they have a lot of really interesting looking options on the menu (Filipino Breakfast? Salmon Teriyaki?) so I look forward to coming back with a bigger group to be able to mix and match and try more things.

Great and innovative concept, but still a great road to ride. This Sushi spot brings a new, maybe easier and practical way or eating sushi. It's basically a thick-uncut roll that you eat like a burrito or sandwich. The reasons of my 3 out of 5 stars are two: 1) freshness... Nothing really taste fresh, and I understand its a fast food concept, but still... Its sushi, and sushi is directly associated with freshness; 2) and most important... Variaty, there's not much to choose from as diversity... Only tuna or cooked salmon... Again... Sushi definition... Once again, I love the concept and the innovation, but there's a lot of room for improvement if they want to make it throughout this difficult market. Good luck!

The concept is great :) a sushi burrito yumm.. i had the mt.fuji which is a tuna burrito pretty delicious but i will say i only ate half as it was pretty big. I tried the bok choy not impressed with it at all you can skip on that. I do however recommend the asian nachos its a great combination they make with the wonton chips, pork, avocado, and tomatoe. To drink: their lychee strawberry lemonade is a good taste but is very sweet i would share it or maybe even dilute it a little bit, but great combo. Make sure to try their hou hou sparkling sake so yummy if your.into cold sweet sake it goes down well. Loved it I missed out on their thai donuts but will definetly be coming back to try them.

When I found this restaurant, I was a bit skeptical to try it as the last "sushi burrito" place I tried disappointed me however I decided to give them a chance anyways. The menu wasn't too large but I liked everything I tried. I ordered the Mt. Fuji, Miso soup, and donuts, The burrito was big enough to share (for some). All of the ingredients were very tasty and fresh. I was very impressed! Keep in mind this is the first week they opened as well. Employees were very kind and helped me chose a delicious mea as well. I have yet to return, however I will make sure I will! Cons - Parking downtown isn't the best. Night time is a little dark and secluded in the area but I'm sure this place is busy with foot traffic during the day. Great job burrito San!

Love the flavors, super savory, and healthy! The restaurant is ultra clean, bright, enthusiastic and helpful staff. Theres a great selection of sodas, all made with real sugar and the lemonade is killer. A great addition to the selection of food spots downtown, especially for a quick bite. Love the nachos and the donuts. The Siam Kiss and Chicken Masala as a salad are my go-to options and somedays I can't live without ordering the Beefy Korean roll. Also, I order delivery often and am always impressed by how fast the food arrives, and how well the food travels. I love you Burrito San!

  • Cory F.

This place is the real deal. Its like a fusion between sushi and burrito's. I ordered delivery and it was at my door in less than 45 minutes (which is quite good for downtown delivery). I got the beefy Korean roll which was so flavorful. The beef was so tender with a little kick. I also had the Mt. Fuji which is their more sushi-like roll with raw tuna and it also had so much flavor. The great part about these "burritos" is that they are so easy to eat whether you're on the run or just sitting on your couch (like me). One more thing, I had the bok choy which wasn't spicy as advertised but very good and tasty!!! The Asian Nachos, are hands-down one of my favorite things ive ever had. The chips themselves are of the consistency of shrimp chips (or very airy and light tortilla chips). The chips are then topped with very fresh diced tomatoes, avocado, shredded pork, and comes with a great sauce. The pork is very tasty and fall-apart. It is also not overly spiced, its just right. For $10-$11 per burrito this place is great for stopping by and grabbing a quick bite. 1 burrito and maybe an app would be quite filling.

Love it here! Really love the large style rolls that are going on here. It's really filling and the tastes are all different. Definitely a great lunch spot and its clean and fast. Get on it peoples!

My friend told me about this place. We ordered delivery and were extremely pleased! The order came in quickly, all the food had individual wrapping. Everything was just delicious and FRESH!!!! We ordered Mt. Fuji with tuna, Masala Chicken and the one with salmon teriyaki. Everything was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! The wontons were so flavorful. I just had to write a review. Best delivery food in a long time!!!! P.S we got free dessert, Thai donuts, those were great too!

  • Lauren R.

The food is amazing! Very fresh and great combos of flavors they have chicken, beef, veggie, raw tuna ect. The only thing better than the food was the service. It was a very nice staff and the food is made to order. The lemonade is must try

I've heard of this concept for a while-- big fan of the Jogasaki food truck in la. Was pumped to hear we got something like this here! Hope they do expand the menu though, there are only around 6 burritos to choose from and only the Mt.Fuji is "sushi-like". Fish was very fresh and plentiful. My friend got the Beefy Korean and we were both expecting the meat to be bulgogi like, but it wasn't. Still good though. Saw our burritos being made on the spot, really clean and modern looking place. The wonton chips are not to be missed! Wish they sold those in packages :)

Really excited to have these Asian fusion burritos type of places in Miami. However I wish they had more raw burritos on the menu. I did have the Mt. Fuji which was good.

Hand over the burrito and no one gets hurt. I'm addicted to the extent that I would honestly do anything for a Mt. Fuji. Could anything be better than a lifesize sushi roll? Yes, actually....TWO lifesize sushi rolls. I can't really verbalize the sadness I feel in my heart when my burrito is almost finished. :/ The Mt. Fuji is a beauty stocked with raw tuna, pickled cucumbers, avocado, wontons and rice, swaddled by a delicious sheet of seaweed. My secret trick is to stuff the wontons they give you *inside* the wrap for a little extra texture. Incredible. My husband loves the Siam Kiss -- it's chicken with a lemongrass flavor with slices of jalapeno. Spicy! We've also indulged in the Thai doughnuts...........need I say more? I am proud to say that I've eaten here 4 times in the last 10 days and I plan to be the next Chipotle kid that eats the same thing for an entire year straight. I know I can do it. LOVE YOU BURRITO SAN!

  • Kimberly D.

The only place that I know of in south Florida that offers sushiritos! Burrito San has a small menu with BIG flavors. They feature different Asian cuisines wrapped in rice and nori (seaweed) paper. They advertise their food as local and organic wherever possible, and they use exclusively grass-fed beef, line caught tuna, and wild Alaskan salmon. Their packaging and utensils are all environmentally friendly, so you can feel good about eating at the restaurant. I had to order the Mt. Fuji, or the sushiritos (sushi burrito). It has raw sashimi tuna, masago, greens, mango sauce, and your choice of white or brown rice. It was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! The flavors are bright and fresh. It is like a giant hand roll, and I was not disappointed. I also ate the Beefy Korean, which has garlic beef, kimchee, cucumber pickles, greens, and your choice of rice. The beef was a little tough to bite through, and in the process of eating, my burrito broke apart. It's a little bit spicy, but still very flavorful. I thought this burrito was just ok. I probably won't order it again. You must eat the burritos quickly, otherwise the nori will get soggy and it gets more difficult to eat the longer you wait. Each entree is served with wonderfully seasoned fried wontons. I loved eating them and putting them inside my sushiritos for added crunch. You have to find street parking around the restaurant, there is none directly in front of the building. It is located in downtown Miami, across from FDSLDRS boutique.

After loving Sushirrito in San Fran, I knew I'd be a fan of Burrito San. If the downtown location scares you off, know that you can get $1 parking in the Miami Tower garage with a purchase of $10 or more. I've tried the Mt. Fuji, Teriyaki Dream and Beefy Korean rolls. My favorite has been the Mt. Fuji because I love raw tuna and extra points for it being a little spicy. The Teriyaki Dream with wild salmon could've used some more sauce, as I felt like I had to kick it up with some Sriracha. The Beefy Korean didn't blow me away... I am going to keep working my way through the menu! The rolls are really filling and comes with a side of addicting wonton chips. Depending on which roll you get, your meal with a drink will probably come to around $15. Each time I've ate my food there. It's pretty fast and there's a good amount of seating. I also really like the clean and simplistic design. Everything feels very clean and modern. Not to mention, you can see into where the food is prepared so you know you're in good hands. I'll be back!

the concept is amazing and the food is really good! I've had a few things off their menu so i'll just give you the run down: Mt. Fuji: 1st time I went it was SUPER FRESH & crisp. its what got me hooked. 2nd time, really wasn't that fresh, everything was soggy and it fell apart on me.. Siam Kiss: one of those that you can't go wrong with. it isn't bad but by comparison to the Mt. Fuji, it isn't the best. (IMO) Orange Creme Brulee: a little TOO sweet and really really REALLY caramelized top. Lychee Coconut Sorbet: WINNER WINNER!! it's sooo good, it's the perfect blend of lychee and coconut. so refreshing! Hot Sake: I drink sake, a lot. it's your standard warm sake but it comes in one of those coffee to-go cups (like the Starbucks kind) just pour little shots into the water cups the have and it's like having regular sake. They promote fresh local ingredients but my last experience with the Mt. Fuji burrito makes me question how fresh it REALLY is... either way, i likes and if i'm ever in downtown, i'll def make a visit :)

It looks like hybrid foods are making their way to Miami and Burrito San brings just that: sushi-burrito hybrids. So, if you are a sushi lover and you wanted to super size it, the wait is over! Their menu is not extensive with just 8 burrito combinations you can customize to your taste. I've tried the Beefy Korean, Teriyaki Dream and Marsala Chicken. All were great but the Teriyaki Dream burrito was the most delicious and I've been craving it ever since. Their Thai doughnuts are something special, as well. The location is extremely lively with green accents and the staff is very helpful if you can't decide what to order. However, if you do not feel like dealing with Downtown traffic, they deliver to the Brickell, Midtown and Little Havana area for $3. I also need to mention Burrito San is healthy and environmentally conscious: they use grass-fed, antibiotic and hormone free proteins as well as organic and local produce. This delectable new concept is going to be a hit!

What's a party without an after party? And although most of our yelp events end in an all night drinking affair, occasionally our after party consists of more food. After finding out about Burrito San less than a week before the event, I knew immediately where my after party would be!! After rounding up a few other Yelpers we walked over to Burrito San. It was about 6:30pm on a Saturday and it was pretty empty, so our food came out quickly, and we were able to take over the whole place! Burrito San is an order at the counter kind of place, and your pager will alert you to when your food is ready. The staff (owners?) at the counter were more than willing to help and steer us in the right direction in terms of the menu. I knew coming in that I would be ordering the Mt. Fuji, and my fellow eating partner Edwin P. was fine with splitting that with me so that I could try his roll (forgot the name but it was beef and kimchee). The beef with kimchee roll was good (doesn't hurt when I love kimchee) but clearly the Mt. Fuji - which is a raw tuna roll, was the clear winner. Sergio F. also shared a few of his Thai donuts which were perfection! Ok, so I haven't tried Sushirrito yet (I'll finally get it in about 10 days) but I'm willing to give this place 5 stars right now. The food was awesome and very affordable, and the staff was great! If you're in the downtown area and haven't tried Burrito San yet, well you're missing out!

So I first heard about these sushi burritos popping up on the west coast a few months ago and I thought to myself, "damn! If only we had that here!" Low and behold, Burrito San pops up on my nearby hot and new feed and I go bananas! I tried their Mt. Fuji burrito which had raw sashimi tuna, crispy wontons, avocado, masago, choice of white or brown rice, mango sauce, and lettuce wrapped in a nori seaweed! Yummmmm! Everything is around $10 with the Mt. Fuji being their priciest burrito at $11.50. Their nachos sounded good too but I'll wait until next time to devour those. The place looks like a froyo place on the inside with the bright green and white walls. Everyone was friendly and the place was super clean. I'm glad to see some more lunch options popping up in downtown and the Brickell area! I've been getting bored with the same spots and a Japanese fused burrito is the way to get things a rolling!

  • Maryam H.

Hmmmmm I've ordered from here twice now and something just isn't cutting it for me. I don't know if its because I'm ordering it and not having it fresh (although it comes rather quickly) I had the Mt Fuji and Chicken roll and both times I am a little disappointed. Maybe its that there is a lot of seaweed and it overwhelms the rest of the food, or that it is a little sloppy to eat... but it just is not balanced well. The rice to stuffing ratio is all off, and the sauce amount just makes everything a bit of a mess. But, what appears to be a tiny burrito will leave you feeling full. I just wish there were better side options to pair it with!

  • Ute L.

Just what downtown's lunch crowd needed, healthy Asian fast food. Salads look small at first glance but they are actually very filling. I ordered the Buddha salad with grilled portobello mushrooms and crispy tempura eggplant. Deeeelish! I loved the faux rice made of cauliflower, and the dressing was awesome. Wish they had free delivery, I'd get it for dinner too.

My friend Gabriel kept talking to me about Burrito San, maybe that's why I my expectations were so high. The idea is amazing, and the place is what I expected... but the food.. well it was underwhelming. The menu is a little bit too simple for me, and they don't have many raw fish options. The Mt. Fuji is definitely what I expected from this place... but thats it... they need something with Salmon, raw salmon. The miso soup felt like canned soup. I didnt particularly like the nachos. Service is very fast-food like, pricing is OK. You will spend about $16 for a lunch, but you might not be completely full when you leave. Good place to grab a bite, nothing to write home about. Concept is awesome, but it could be better.

  • Sophia S.

So I was super excited to try this place out in person (vs delivery) and I'm left super confused and wondering what I did to deserve this sort of punishment. In theory this is a great concept for people who hate sushi and Asian food but want to love sushi and Asian food because it's cool. I'm talking to you California roll! Anyway, I ordered the Mt. Fuji (the only even quasi-sushi item on the menu) and it was a soggy log of flavorless mush; not so fresh and had me feeling like I could've done better with Annie Chun. I'm also not sure that was tuna in there; we're awaiting the lab results.

In preparation for being in Miami for one day before a cruise I had booked marked a few places and Burrito San was one of them. I'm glad I did since it was a delicious and filling lunch. I had the Siam Kiss and an order of the Thai donuts. I thought the burrito was flavored nicely if a bit delicately. If you're looking for a strong sauce or a lot of soy sauce, it doesn't have it but it was still very good. The donuts were surprising not too sweet and pretty light. Still, I could not eat all of them in addition to the burrito so they were definitely for sharing. I thought the price was fine for the amount of food that you get and it certainly wasn't expensive by Vegas standards. Really I'd be happy if something like this opened here and would probably make it a regular destination.

To start off it was everything I expected it to be! The food was phenomenal! Also they have a vegetarian option and brown rice which is a huge plus.

  • Miriana M.

I liked Burrito San, but it didn't drive me crazy. I loved the concept, the place itself, and the service, hence the 3 stars. I wanted every bite to be flavorful, but it didn't quite deliver. I tried the Buddha Belly, the Beefy Korean (i think those were the names), and the Spicy Bok Choy. I wouldn't order any of these again, but other items on the menu seemed appealing for a possible second visit.

Recommendations: Mt. Fuji burrito Quick service and fresh food. I loved the wanton chips they give with your meal. The burrito and chips are enough if you aren't too hungry.

Who knew that a burrito and a sushi roll fell in love right here in the Mecca of Mayhem we like to call Miami. Burrito San offers a simple menu of these deliciously fused flavors for all to enjoy. With names like Mt. Fuji, Masala Chicken, and Buddah's Belly you can bet your sweet bippy there's something good going on here. After an afternoon event, a few of my fellow Yelpers and I made a visit for some post event munchies. Being close by, and more importantly open, Burrito San fit the bill. Away we went, trekking through deep puddles and congested traffic to arrive at this delightfully decorated, Asian fusion restaurant in the heart of Downtown Miami or "Do-Mi" for the hip and in-the-know.... (OK, I made that part up). Simple and quick counter service with an easy to read menu makes this casual restaurant a great place for a quick lunch or late afternoon meal. Beer and wine is offered in the menu of drinks as well as options for the health conscious. If you're into the whole "green" movement, the restaurant encourages recycling. I tried the Masala Chicken and was quite happy with it. The curry was perfect and it was not too spicy. If you want more heat on your roll, er... burrito, you can ask them to prepare it extra spicy. Others in my party had the Mt. Fuji, the Beefy Korean, and one of us even ordered Thai Donuts. From what I heard around the table, everyone was very happy. Next time, I may just order one of everything. After all, wouldn't I just be hungry twenty minutes later anyway? Oh wait, that's Chinese food. My bad... If you're curious and know about looking things up on the internet here's their website: burritosan.com/#hungry-m…

Awesome!! My sister told me about this place a month ago and I finally got the chance to try it last week.. I've now been here 3 times in one week. My favorite "burrito" is the Mt. Fuji.. And my 2nd favorite Is the Teriyaki one. Everything is pretty unique and delicious. The people that work there have been really nice and a pleasure to deal with as well. New place, highly recommend them!

I came here with a few Yelpers this past Saturday following an event at Lilt Lounge at the Epic hotel a few blocks away. This restaurant is in a decent sized storefront on SE 1st avenue downtown, about 1/2 block from the Miami Tower. Their menu is displayed on flat screen monitors behind and to the side of the counter where they take the orders. You place your order with the cashier, pay and they give you a "pager" that vibrates and lights up when your order is ready. I ordered the "Beefy Korean" which contains garlic beef, kimchee, cucumber pickles, organic greens, chopped scallions and kochijan sauce, along with your choice of white or brown rice (I chose brown). As others have mentioned, the "burritos" here are actually wrapped in nori, rather than a tortilla which is an interesting twist, and cuts down a bit on carb intake. They also offer a selection of soft drinks, craft beers, wine and saki as well. The burrito I had was tasty, though the odor of the nori wrap as I first started to chomp down was a bit unexpected. As one other reviewer stated, these "burritos" can also become a tad messy to finish off when you start to get to the end of the roll and the nori starts to come apart. I was offered one of the Thai donuts that someone else in our group had ordered, and though they were very tasty and a great finish to the meal, I don't know if I'd polish off an entire order of them on my own. The Beefy Korean burrito was $10, I had a bottle of Monk in the Trunk beer which was $4.50 for a total of $15 and some change with tax.

Asian restaurants and I have a insufficient history because of my seafood allergies. But I met up with friends here after an event when I saw they have some beef and chicken dishes. Plus they have dessert! Still, I have to stick with a 3.5 (and round up to 4 because of the company I was with.) The setup is a fast casual, where you order at the counter with two very pleasant cashiers and our order was brought to the table. I went full on their non-seafood menu starting with their Asian Nachos. A tasty mix of wonton chips, sweet and tender beef (maybe a teriyaki base ?) served with Pico De gallo, the portion would have made a nice lunch by itself. I was hungry, so next up was their Chicken Burrito roll. Combining chicken pieces, brown rice and Yukon gold mashed potatoes in a seaweed wrap, I ate it with a fork and skipped the seaweed. The reason why it's not a perfect review is that most of my Asian food favorites have a teriyaki flavor to them. I see a dish with such seasoning. Alas, it's salmon so I ask if it can be substituted with chicken. But since the seasoning is prepared before. I'd love to see an expansion of non-seafood offerings. That way I can enjoy some more of the fluffy sweet thai donuts our group shared, or that orange creme brulee.

What a great spot! Innovative thinking and delivering on everything. Place was clean, ordering was super easy, great customer service, not expensive and amazing food. Mt. Fuji is what I ordered and it was perfect. Nice high quality lunch to keep moving the rest of the day. No question I will be back here. Maybe this might not be for everyone but if you want healthy/fast casual lunch this the way to go! Wish they had one on the beach!

I saw a menu for Burrito San in the office I intern at, and I just had to go and try it! Inside: The inside of the restaurant is very modern and trendy. I think it's the perfect hangout spot! Food: I had the Mt. Fuji roll, and it was delicious. The rolls are big and will fill you up! The only negative about this roll is that it had a mango scallion sauce that I really didn't find that good. They mainly have burrito rolls here, soups, salads, and nachos. They do have vegetarian options as well. They have a variety of drinks at the counter and I recommend the ginger lemongrass lemonade. It is absolutely delicious!!! Prices: I think the prices are reasonable! Not too cheap and not too expensive. You get your money's worth! You should definitely try this place out! If you're in the downtown area and haven't tried this place out, you are missing out BIG TIME!! And if you love sushi, but want to try something a little different, this is your place :D Happy eating!

I've tried this place 3 times now and am conflicted. The first two visits, the food was great; good flavors, tasted very fresh, great portions... However, I ordered takeout tonight and was put-off by what they gave me. The fish was not something that ever should have been served, and considering it was on top of my salad, staring someone in the face, I really question what they were thinking. Hopefully this was a momentary lapse in judgement, but I don't know if I would give it another go.

Burrito sushi! Amazing idea... they should double the seaweed for an extra 99 cent option. Also the Filipino breakfast needs to have Longanesa. That's what we had growing up lol, but it was good tho just not Filipino. I think with a few more options and attention to detail this place will grow insane.

I've been in Miami for a week now and I keep coming back here. The Mt. Fuji roll is so fresh and crisp. The mango sauce is what really puts it over the top. I also tried the Teriyaki Dream, but it wasn't as good as the Mt. Fuji. The coconut sorbet with lychee was very good. They have a very varied drink selection which ranges from sake to craft soda. The clean interior and emphasis on environmentally friendly choices and fresh ingredients make you feel good about what you just ate. I've always thought the burrito should be adopted by all cuisines, so I'm happy that Burrito San nailed their interpretation.

New spot in the downtown area. Just around the corner from the Filling Station, or where the Filling Station used to be. The burritos are pretty much over sized sushi rolls chock filled with fresh ingredients. It's often difficult to find a healthy lunch offering in downtown, but this place does the trick.

There was some hype going around about a burrito sushi I HAD to check it out!! Just the sound of it is super interesting. By the time I got there and was browsing their menu, I decided to do the spicy Korean beef burrito. My friend had the Filipino breakfast burrito and we shared the Asian nachos. Beefy Korean: lacked the flavorful Korean spices in the beef. The kimchee was the only very Korean flavor it had. I believe they should enhance the beef flavor in general Asian nachos: AMAZING! The cilantro cream sauce was so good, I dipped my burrito in the sauce. The chips were a little too oily and if you order this, eat the chips right away so they don't get soggy with all the sauce. The portion was excellent and had a lot of pork on it. Absolutely recommend this dish! Filipino breakfast: this was tasty, but since the nachos also had pork, we were all porked out Overall, I absolutely LOVE the concept and I think this is a great idea!! I really hope they do well. I wouldn't recommend to order to go if you have a long way home because I think the seaweed wrap will get chewy and soft with time. The portions are great for the price!! The staff is very friendly!! I will definitely come back to try the Mt. Fuji burrito which is the sushi burrito that had brought me here in the first place. I also love that they have the brown rice option. I hope to see more of Burrito San around Miami.

This place is DELICIOUS! It's the perfect American take on sushi. One of these things is so filling! I am giving it 4 stars because they only have one burrito available with raw fish. I would love it if they expand their menu to more sushi options and possibly include a "create your own burrito" option.

  • Nicole D.

We ordered the Mt Fuji and Saucy Tofu "burritos". Perhaps that's not the right term. It's more like a giant sushi roll. It wasn't bad but there's nothing special about it. I doubt that we will ever crave it or pick Burrito San over any sushi joint. It's a shame to have such a great location, great equipment and not put it to good use. This is just my opinion... Maybe you'll love it. To me, it was just alright.

Was excited to try this after reading about places like this out on the west coast. Food is delicious, flavorful and fresh. Only problem is that the portion sizes don't correlate much with the price. Don't expect a Chipotle sized burrito. Think more along the lines of a bean burrito from Taco Bell. With that said, it's still super yummy - just don't come in starving! Oh, and don't unwrap your burrito or else you're going to end up having to eat with a fork and knife. It's merely a giant sushi roll thats cut in half. It isn't folded on the ends like a traditional burrito, only held together by the paper wrapping. You've been warned.

I met a friend at Burrito San for lunch today and couldn't have been happier with the experience. First off, it's really easy to get to because it's just steps away from the Knight Center Metro Mover station. Once I walked into the shop, I was pleasantly surprised by how bright, airy and spacious the restaurant is. Once we placed our orders, it was less than two minutes before our food was ready. I had the Siam Kiss served on organic field greens with Kazu's Krazy Rice which is made of buckwheat, quinoa and cauliflower and a Lychee Strawberry Lemonade. I loved my meal and the only change I would make would be to add more peanuts. If you're looking for a new place to try for lunch in the Downtown area, look no further!

Burrito San is a very interesting take on the 'fast casual' restaurant. The menu is focused on the wrap options, which Burrito San calls "rolls." Not to be confused with a sushi roll, this is your burrito stand-in. Each of the "rolls" are a combination of various vegetables, proteins, and your choice of white or brown rice -- wrapped in nori as opposed to a tortilla. In fact, there's not a tortilla to be found on the menu. The pan-Asian focus here is far, far, more prominent than the "burrito" aspect. I ordered the beefy Korean, brown rice, which I ultimately liked quite a lot. My order came with a cup of refrigerated sauce. I tried my first bite without it, and was not impressed initially. It turns out that there is no sauce on the "roll" itself, so it was dry and not all that flavorful as a result. But happily, the sauce was delicious, and I loaded it onto my "roll" as I ate. The sauce is very obviously what brings the combination together and makes it work so well (yup, I asked for a second cup, too). I was also pleased with the freshness of the ingredients (although since today was the first day it was open, I would hope that the ingredients would be fresh). I also totally enjoyed the nori wrapper, which kept the meal feeling light. The only problem here is that the "end" of the roll ended up quite messy as the nori started coming apart. Not a big problem though. Looking back at the menu for writing this, I see that the beefy Korean is listed as including kimchee. In truth, I tasted no kimchee and suspect that it was forgotten on my order (would have been hard to miss, flavor-wise). The portion will be small if you're particularly hungry. But at $10 for the beefy Korean "roll," I thought it was priced appropriately. Staff was very friendly. And my food was served extremely fast. Seems like Burrito San will be a good place for those in a rush. This is really in "3.5 star" category for me, food-wise. But because the concept is so interesting and the other aspects of my visit were so on point, it's most fair for me to round-up to a 4 star.

Best lunch spot in downtown! Everything I've tried so far is something I'd order again. The layout is well designed and the service is friendly. I like the Beefy Korean (w/kimchee) but I get the Buddha's Belly if I want something lighter/vegetarian There's also a number of Asian drinks that are hard to find downtown.

Stopped by here on a Friday afternoon for a quick lunch and it was definitely quick and delicious. The "burritos" are like a giant sushi roll. Who wouldn't love a giant sushi roll?! I had the saucy tofu it's the Krazy rice and loved it! I'm a vegetarian so it was basically the only thing on the menu for me but it was sooo good. Would definitely eat here again.

If you're looking for something different but that is still affordable and quick, look no further than Burrito San. I was drawn to Burrito San because of the unique concept. I've heard of the Sushirito in San Francisco, but didn't know of anything like it in Miami. The twist at Burrito San is the flour tortilla is replaced with nori (seaweed) and everything has an Asian influence. There are two chicken options, a pork, a beef, a tuna, and a salmon. There is also a pretty creative breakfast option which I am have to try next time even if it's lunch. The food was delicious and everything tasted very fresh. The service was very quick and the owner came by to make sure everything was great. Overall, Burrito San is well worth a trip and at the price is a very solid lunch option in downtown Miami where everything basically feels the same.

Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Miami. This is a great place to grab a tasty, fresh, and quick lunch. There are not many options for food in this area for lunch. Mostly salad, sandwiches, and lots of unhealthy stuff. Loved the cleanliness, which is something I always notice even if I am not looking for it. Service was friendly and I did notice they were smiling. Thank you for my service with a smile! I had the Beefy Korean with brown rice and the Asian Nachos. Both were really good. Perfect flavors. The nachos are definitely something I will crave again (uh oh).

Every time I am downtown I make it a point to come by here. Their Mt. Fuji roll is heaven! If you're on a diet, particularly low carb, you can make it a salad and just skip on the crunchy wontons. If you're here, make sure to check out their interesting soda selection. The caramel cream soda is the best! Also, they have a rewards program now.

Wow! This place is absolutely incredible. The atmosphere is excellent and tasteful and the food is stellar. I love the fresh and local ingredients. The quality really shows and is evident upon first bite. My wife and I loved it and will definitely be going back soon.

Always fresh and delicious! Saucy Tofu is everything!!! Having tried both the burrito and the salad forms, I do think I will stick to the salad from now on. The seaweed wrap was a little tough for me and did not seem to hold up very well. I ended up finishing it with a fork anyway. This place is great for a quick lunch that won't have you feeling lethargic for the rest of the day. It is a little pricey, but the quality is well worth it. Love the effort it takes in being a sustainable restaurant. I look forward to going back and trying some of the meat options.

Perfect quick lunch place, great healthy options, especially when you get the Teriyaki salmon roll as a salad bowl. The grass-fed beef roll is delicious too. Eaten there almost 15 times since opened & would have given this place 5 stars except that last 2 times, salmon has not tasted fresh. Hoping just a fluke.

  • Brady Y.

Pretty disappointing. Went with a friend and both our burritos/rolls were wrapped too loosely which made them hard to eat. The salmon in mine was overcooked and it wasn't actually salmon teriyaki... it was just plain salmon and other parts of the burrito were drenched in teriyaki sauce. My friend got the tuna burrito and said it had too much sweet sauce. Sushi burritos are cool in theory but it's hard to appreciate the delicate flavors when you're just getting a mouthful of rice or seaweed depending on the bite. It was very hard to bite through the big piece of tough seaweed. Don't come here on a date because you'll look like a fool trying to eat your burrito! The wonton chips are a nice touch because you can scoop up what falls out of your burrito. I left unhappy though because I was still hungry after munching a not-very-enjoyable $11 "burrito". Skip this gimmick and stick to hand rolls.

If you're looking for fresh food on the go, this is the place to visit. A lovely little spot with very friendly team members. I'm vegetarian; I was very pleased to see vegetarian friendly meals with an incredible amount of flavor. Personal favorite: Buddah's Belly. I hope to see this restaurant around for a while.

I wanted to take a picture of my food to post but it was so good I devoured it immediately! I wasn't sure about the concept but Burrito San really played well with the Asian ingredients and the Mexican formats. I like the fact that they have a small menu because the ingredients are very fresh and the flavors are developed so well. I Ordered take out and got: Asian nachos - The braised pork was so tender and the cilantro cream sauce went perfectly with it. Not to mention how fantastic the crispy wontons are as the nacho base Beefy Korean roll- Strong Korean flavor that's well balanced with the Kimchee and garlic beef Mt. Fuji roll- A delicate roll with Fresh tuna and nice crunch with the wontons The restaurant Itself is decorated with clean, modern lines and the set up is comfortable. But, what matters most is the food and they are nailing it. I would definitely come back and recommend this place! Bottom line: tasty, flavorful, fresh food at a good price

This place is yummy! Great selection of "burrito rolls". If you're in the downtown area this is a far better choice than any of the more popular restaurant in the area. My favorite side were the Asian Nachos & Mt.fuji burrito roll. They also have an awesome selection of beer and homemade drinks! Burrito San rocks!

This place recently opened downtown and decided to try it for lunch. I had their lemongrass chicken soup with their masala chicken burrito both were very good. The soup was my favorite and I'd come back just for that. Their prices are also pretty good for the amount of food you get, cost me about $10 for my meal. Worth trying for lunch if you want asian with a twist!

I love this place. Easily one of my favorite lunch spots in Miami. If you haven't been I highly recommend it to anyone, especially fans of Pan Asian cuisine. I've already been 5 times and I have yet to find something on the menu that didn't taste great. Some of my favorite orders are the Mount Fuji, the Buddhas belly (vegetarian) and the Teriyaki dream. I highly recommend the Asian nachos as a side, they are delicious. I am really exited to see a place like Burrito San open in Miami. It's very easy to walk there if you live downtown, and an easy metro mover ride from Brickell. It's well worth the commute. The food itself is not expensive for something so good. There are still plenty of things I would love to try on the menu. Based on what I have seen so far id bet that this place will do very well.

Its good but nothing amazing. I like the idea of a burrito sushi. Its like a giant sushi roll. Wish they had more choices but their menu is very limited. Other than that its an ok place.

I tried this place for the first time yesterday during my lunch hour. I have only tasted this place once. It may have been an off day for them and they also haven't been open very long. That being said, I found the food very mediocre. I had the Miso Soup and the Beefy Korean roll. The miso soup had plenty of veggies and tofu and was pretty good. The roll, however, was not. The beef was extremely insipid. I was expecting a spicy, savory beef. I did not get what I was expecting. My colleague had the Creme Brulee, she mentioned that it was too liquidy and didn't meet the consistency a creme brulee should. I usually do not like to categorize a restaurant with only one visit but I honestly don't think I will try this place again. Sorry Burrito San.

Ordered for the first time from here today and was far too underwhelmed to order from here again. Had the Asian Nachos. There was hardly any pork on it and the wonton ton chips were very greasy. And the flavor was meh at best. A no for me. On a positive note( if I'm going to find one): they had fast delivery time but fast delivery of bad food not worth it.

Excellent new concept! I always had fascination for "hand rolls" but this concept takes it to another level! Must have's... Nachos, Masala Chicken and Mt. Fuji Rolls! The Website is quite user-friendly, delivery is efficient... Altogether one of my top-fives for Downtown Miami restaurants.

Received an email from Lan Pan Asian letting me know that they just opened this restaurant. Since I am a big fan of Lan, I couldn't wait to try Burrito San. I had the Beefy Korean. It was delicious and not too spicy. Also had the ginger lemongrass homemade lemonade, which was way too sweet. I kept diluting it with water. I'd say that I doubled the amount of liquid before I could drink it. My friend had the Saucy Tofu and was very happy. She had the free water from the fountain drink machine. There are cups right beside it. Service was fast and friendly. The owner, Kazu Abe, even stopped by to see how our meal was. I thought that was a nice gesture. They deliver in the downtown area for $3 and to Brickell and Midtown for $5. I can't wait to go back. The burrito was very filling and I had meat throughout the burrito. I want to try everything on the menu! It's the perfect lunch spot because the prices are good and the service is very fast!

One of my favorite spots! It's casual, healthy, and delicious fast-food. It's a combination of 2 of my favorite foods: sushi and burritos! Can't go wrong with that! The Korean Beef burrito is the best, but I've tried them all and liked them as well!

I've been on yelp for a while, but haven't reviewed much if any at all. I've eaten here twice in one week. Let's just say it's awesome. I had the My Fuji and spicy lemongrass soup. The service was great and the food was fresh.

ANAZING!!!! Innovative concept that is absolutely DELICIOUS!! I had the mt. Fuji burrito and felt like I definitely got my money's worth. Food is fresh and light... But you are definitely full when you leave. Can't wait to go back!!!

This is very very tasty. Truly a unique food experience - fantastic idea, really good food, and just so different. Its cheap, about the same price as chipotle, and I could easily see this becoming my frequent local stop in. The food really is incredible- a sushi base of a seaweed mat with rice, rolled like a burrito, and stuffed with many takes on a variety of Asian dishes and flavors. Loved the experience, food, and taste, and would really really recommend going here, if only just to check it out!!!!

I had been dying to come here ever since I heard about it's opening. I'm from LA and I was so jealous of all my friend's insta posts of sushi burritos. I went to Burrito San with a few friends a few weeks back and we tried almost everything; the Asian nachos (unreal), the curry chicken, the beefy Korean, and the chicken marsala and the Mt. Fuji. All were delicious but my favorite was the Mt. Fuji. The service was great. Oh and also the Thai donuts are INSANE.

I saw this place open up a couple days ago. And I figured I must try it. Sushi burrito? Sounds exotic. I ordered it beefy Korean burrito and it was very good. I got a big portion of beef. The taste with the kimchi was exactly what I wanted. Towards the end the seaweed wrapper fell apart though so it got a little messy. My friend ordered the teriyaki dream which was equally as delicious. It had salmon in it and everything tastes fresh. The teriyaki sauce was just the perfect amount. The sushi rice in the burrito was also really tasty. This was definitely a good lunch or snack. I cannot wait to come back to try the other stuff on their menu. The price wise it's ok for the food that you are getting.

I was thrilled to find out they deliver all the way to Little Havana. The Mt Fuji was amazing, though next time I will order it without the mango sauce, which was a bit sweet. I really liked the Asian nachos; the creamy cilantro sauce was delicious and the portion size was big enough for 2 people to share for an appetizer. My husband had the Chicken Masala roll and loved it. Delivery was faster than promised! I have since ordered 2 more times in the past week and had the same quality and service. This place is fantastic!

A refreshing change for Downtown Miami. This new eatery is cool, clean and uber-fresh! Today I had the delicious Teriyaki Dream on the house mix - a generous serve of salmon and a fresh twist on the usual salad offerings. The staff are welcoming and know their menu like they've been serving it for years - hard to believe it has only just opened recently. Loved it and will definitely go back again and again.

Because this is another one of those pioneering restaurants in downtown Miami, a city which usually shuts down after 5pm, I really wanted to give a great review for Burrito San but I can't. Maybe it had something to do with getting warm sake in a paper cup (I think that is sacrilege in Japan). Or the cold and sterile fast food ambiance-- although I must admit I did like the color scheme (it just needs some warmth re maybe the use of darker, natural tones like wood-- maybe some bamboo!). But, like they say, you can't eat the decor. Thankfully, the food was good to great across the board since I went with friends and we sampled everyone's order. Just remember this is a fast food concept, i.e., no waitstaff, and although they serve craft beers, there are no beers on draft. For three people who also ordered three beers and three sakes, our tab was over $70.00. Burrito San is a unique idea and I wish them well.
