While in Marianna, we were in the mood for sushi. After reading the reviews and the 4 stars, Jaden and i decided to give it a try. We were really disappointed. The food on the bar was slightly tepid at best. The sushi that was raved about didn't make it out until we were getting ready to pay. The ONLY thing that was really worth mentioning was the sweet and sour soup. That wasn't half bad.

Great Chinese food. The best sushi in town and it has a magnificent hibachi grill . The only downfall of this restaurant is that the buffet is not an all day thing only for lunch and dinner . This restaurant was not good a few years ago but they recently have remodeled and added on a hibachi grill and a sushi bar. It is awesome now.

This is a excellent restaurant! Very friendly waiters and great sushi. I would recommend it to anyone that even slightly likes Asian cooking.

This resturant has really changed for the better. They not only have the best sushi around, they also have a great hibachi grill, along with a regular chinese buffet. I look forward to dining here every week!

Owner has closed up and not planning to open back up. Was pretty decent place to eat but it's history now.

Won't be back, bad experience here, I still feel sick since I read the health department's report about this place, roaches everywhere, definitely not recommend!

I have never gave a restaurant a review like this but I have just experienced the worst Southern Charm ever! Me and a friend went in to eat lunch at the Fortune Cookie in Marianna Florida today. We were both having the buffet. We both ordered water and while she was up fixing her plate I added some crystal light to my water. Hers had lemon in it. The waitress came over and told me that I couldn't add water flavored enhancers to my water there. She said she would have to charge me full price for a drink. I told her no she would not and I gave her the glass of water back. I also told her that I wasn't going to eat there so she could remove my meal from the check. I have never heard of such crap in my whole life and I wanted everyone to know how hard up this place must be for a buck. They certainly wont ever get any more money from me!

As we entered the driveway of this Chinese buffet, we were greeted by two large gold and red painted lion statues framing the entrance way.... With the back drop of a florescent blue painted building...I was confused ....was this the gun and pawn shop? Oh..NO...that's down the street. LOL You will not be able to MISS this place! It nearly sits on the road...as you dine....You can also pray for the safety of the drivers. One mistake from them and you will be eating in someones back seat. LOL Not the greatest of relaxing atmospheres! LOL Typical cheap chinese resturant. Red vinyl booths ....card table like tables and chairs ....tacky paintings ...Usually these types of places have pretty good chinese food. Usually! LOL The person behind the counter told us to seat ourselves. We were 'greeted' by another waiter from across the room. He bellowed out a question for me...'How old ?" I of course ..didn't want to bellow back...so I hesitated! He then came closer with a sigh of impatience..and bellowed again...."How old are the children?". I thought ...Wow, Apparently they don't eat free here! LOL After reporting their ages to him, we were informed that the buffet was not available for 20 minutes. If that is not rude enough... I noticed that every table had a sign on it, stating that there will be an additional charge for food left un-eaten on plates. Wow...You may want to bring a large purse to hide any food that you didn't care for.!!!! LOL I would not rank this as the most welcoming, nor friendly of places. LOL When we finally got our food..it was...1 step up from eating the paper napkins! If you add salt to the napkins...It may be a tie. LOL Very disappointing. We needed to request white rice as only fried rice was on the buffet....I am so glad that we did as That was the best part of the meal. ...white rice! Here's a tip....before leaving home for any destination in this region...call ahead. seriously!...Many of the business have hours that vary according to staffing issues, walking the dog, out to lunch, closed a week for Thanksgiving ( and most holidays! ), parole violations or hunting season. LOL I only wish I were kidding. .

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
