I've been looking for a great inexpensive burger to knock my socks off. Five Guys has it. For less than $5 you can have a thick double patty cheeseburger with your choice of toppings at no additional cost. Toppings include: Lettuce, Pickles, Tomatoes, Mayo, Ketchup, Mustard, Onions, Fried Onions, Relish, Sauteed Mushrooms, Jalapeno Peppers, Green Peppers, A-1 Sauce, Bar-B-Q Sauce, and Hot Sauce. They also have 2 types of french fries. "Five Guys Style" and Cajun. Though the Cajun fries taste good, I found I can get sick of the seasoning quickly, so you might want to stick with the Five Guys Style. They can go "Lite" on the seasoning though. Also, they have 2 sizes of fries: Regular & Large. Large is a huge amount of fries. Can feed like 4 people, and I love fries. So if its just you and a friend, you can stick with the Regular size. Fries are tasty. But the real draw is the great burger. They have not only cheeseburgers but also: hamburger (no cheese) Bacon Burger Bacon Cheeseburger They also have single patty versions of the above burgers known as "little" burgers. They also have Kosher hot dogs, cheese or bacon hot dogs, bacon cheese dogs, and veggie or grilled cheese sandwiches. They have boxes of peanuts all over the place that you can scoop up for free to eat with your burger. In terms of drinks they have bottled water, and 24 oz. cups for use with the soda fountain (free refills) where you can fill your drink yourself. They use Coca-Cola products. You can also buy bags of Idaho Potatoes they use to make the fries. It's not a restaurant in the sense that you are served a meal. There are no waiters. You simply walk up to the counter, or wait in line, order your burger, get your receipt, and wait a few minutes for your meal to be ready, then go sit at a table or go home. Just like a Burger King or McDonald's without the drive through service. But make no mistake, the burgers are much better. They only use fresh ingredients. Patties are never frozen. I've been looking for the In-N-Out Burger of the east coast and this place is it. The only drawbacks: *They don't have milkshakes. *They could improve on their fries slightly. Though they are generous and the fries are cut not too thinly. *No drive through (because it's not that fast and this particular store is not a stand alone building. It's in a plaza.) The Ft. Lauderdale Five Guys is a stand alone building but I'm not sure if they have drive through. *This particular store is somewhat dark on the inside. Standalone versions are probably brighter.

So this is best described as an east coast in n out. However for those who really value the simplicity of in n out (like seriously how many places do you know that can kick so much ass with just 3 items on their menu) will have slightly more trouble here. Like In and Out you can choose a burger, a cheeseburger, or a double. Where does the difficulty come in? The toppings! There are several different options from mushrooms, bacon, jalapenos, bell peppers and more. Good news is they're all free! I have mixed feelings about this as the natural response is just to throw everything on there, but I think deep down I prefer just a simple burger as its definitely easier to eat but also I don't necessarily enjoy a huge jumble of flavors and textures that you get when you just load a burger up. Anyway it is a good burger, not quite as good as in and out. This became really apparent when I had 2 patties (I think before I had just a single and enjoyed that one more) as the lack of flavors in the patties really stood out. I was deciding between a 4 and 5 for this place, but with the lack or anything on the east coast resembling and in n out burger, this is probably one of the best things in your area. Tip: An order of large fries is HUGE! One order fed 5 people.

Great Small hamburger. Small lol ! Don't let the word small deceive you. This is one large patty cooked to perfection with anything you wish added! It was good!

Me and my dude love five guys we try to go to anyone we see lol. They put a new one in Pompano on atlantic and the service wasn't that fast but the food was fresh worth a bag full of cajun fries enough to feed three lol. Thee best burger asides from shake shack. This five guys was good and friendly.

TERRIBLE! Ordered on-line. The burgers were not ready when I got there. Got home and 1 bun was TOTALLY hard as a rock and all the burgers were CRUNCHY at the edges. There is NO WAY that whoever put these together & wrapped it didn't know it was inedible. Guess when you get takeout, you take your chances of getting something they wouldn't be able to serve otherwise.

Great burger! If you have ever lived in Southern California and experienced In-N-Out Burger this is very similar. All of the ingredients are fresh and you can taste the difference! What's great about this place is the size of the patties. 2 1/4 lb patties after they've been cooked! A generous portion of freshly cut french fries (that I couldn't finish) can be included with a drink for a 10 dollar bill. Not bad at all. Great food at a great value. This place gets 5 stars as far as burgers go here in South Florida.

Who doesn't like 5 Guys! Amazing burgers, yummy fries, friendly staff. I love places with an open kitchen. The one downside is that walking in there makes you instantly smell like burgers for the rest of the day!

Best burgers in the area. Outstanding french frys. Try the grilled onions on your hamburger which are hard to find.

Always delicious and the food is served quick. I don't remember ever having a bad meal here. Love the malt vinegar, nothing better on fries. Not the cheapest but one of the best burgers around.

Five guys burgers and fries is a great place to come to forget about your diet and get your burger on. If you want a great burger in a "damn the calories, full speed ahead" kind of way. FiveGuys us the place to go. I came to Five Guys on a Sunday looking for a new, unique burger experience. I ordered the (large) cheeseburger "all the way". This got me two fresh patties, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, sautéed onions, grilled mushrooms and the standard mustard, mayo and ketchup. Oh my goodness. This was one of the best burgers I ever had. We also ordered a large order of fries (one order is more than enough for everyone), which the nice five- guy filled up our bag with extra fries. I did have a small bump in the road where the burger I initially ordered didn't come out right (came plain instead of all the way) but when I took it back and asked them to add the all the way stuff, they insisted on re-making me a fresh burger. I was really impressed. Thank you!! Overall excellent burger, decent prices, vet good food quality. Five guys is exactly what you'd expect. A great burger place with really nice people and excellent food!! Great job Guys!! Five stars.

Awesome burgers and fries in a slightly difficult location to find. The burgers are really good and I order mine a single or double with cheese and crisp bacon and ketchup. The only complaint I have is that I wish they did NOT wrap them in aluminum foil and just wrapped them in paper. The fries are also fantastic and there is no need to order anything larger than small as they really overfill the cup. I also like the free peanuts up front and I am sure some people allergic to peanuts will not like that option.

Five Guys around the country have, hands down, the best burgers anywhere; consistently fresh, delicious and messy, as a good burger should be. Get it "all the way" with bacon and cheese. It really cannot be beat. Fries are rather hit or miss. They can be good or they can be really bad, and with the quantity of fries that you get at Five Guys, it makes a big difference. The Atlantic Blvd store is certainly near the top; crispy just on the outside, not that soggy, undercooked glop they seem to prefer out west.

Their regular burgers are too big for me so I always get the little ones. And they're still yummy! Of course their fries are to die for.

Normally I love 5 guys. But why on a Sunday night at 6:48 would you be out of buns? There is no excuse for this as I was forced to leave with no food. Somebody needs to answer as I am now looking for somewhere else to eat. Lack of management and poor people skills when I was told they can't serve burgers on buns that are not made for 5 guys. (Publix was right next door.)

I actually give them 3.5 stars but might as well round up since I can't do a half star. For a quick burger, this is a good spot. My husband ordered the bacon cheese burger and thought it was very good (for $8 though, it could include a side or a drink). I had the veggie sandwich which is not a veggie patty but a pile of veggies and cheese on top (cheese=optional). I know that doesn't sound so appetizing and it is quite messy but it was very good. Overall, I would recommend as a great run-in burger/fries spot.

Food of course was delicious in the fast food kind of way. Quick to process our app order. My only critique, when labeling our sandwiches with identifying labels please be make sure it's accurate.

Now that's a burger!!!! Order fries for sure!!! A large is enough for 3-4ish people. They're made from fresh potatoes (cut and fried of course) and they even tell you where the potatoes are from. Peanuts (free) and fountain machine available while you wait. Put some bacon on that burger and call it a day. BAAAAAAMMMMMM

I love their fries and burgers. Sure they are a little on the $$$ side but come on you get what you pay for sometimes!!! So many options for toppings and sauces. The meat can be greasy at times but then the best tasting things usually arent the best for you right? LOL Fries here are always so good. I think the only thing I'd like to add is cheese and gravy as a side item you could order. Or maybe they could even do a POUTINE.

Burger ok. Fries excellent. It's cute how they have a chalkboard describing where today's potatoes were grown.

One star. I JUST ordered and paid for a double bacon cheese burger. Paid for a DOUBLE BUT GOT a single pattie when I got home. Lousy! They were not even busy. WHAT is the problem?

My last two visits to the Margate,Fl. location have been disappointments.Last visit the cheese was not even melted on my burger.Place was not busy and once again, turnover of staff from my visit a month earlier.Visit previous to the non-melted cheese,i received someone else's burger.I don't eat jalapeno peppers on burgers.Someone got my order ! These two things never happened previously. Is it the staff turnover ?

Ok what can I say... LOVE,LOVE,LOVE their burgers and fries! I would just love them a little more if they lowered the cost a bit. The fries are a value because they throw in an extra bag full... no exaggeration! The burger is great.. A little greasy but it's a burger.. I think they are supposed to be like that? Either way it tastes great and they add all the toppings you want no extra charge! If you don't mind blocked arteries and possible heartburn later then this is the go to place for a great burger and fries! The only thing I would like to suggest is more variety on the menu.. A milkshake or dessert would hit the spot after a calorie splurge.. Why not just go all in?

  • Jessica D.

Great burgers and fries. I've only been here once but from what I remember the burger and fries were really good, especially the fries. When I got here it wasn't busy at all so there was no wait. The people behind the counter were very pleasant. The restaurant was very clean and you could see them cooking our food right in the open. The food was cooked to order so there was about a five or so minute wait. While your waiting you just go and fill your drink. When my number was called I got my food and was pleased with the presentation. There was alot of fries!! Overall very good experience. I recommend five guys.

I have eaten here a number of times....this is my first review because my hands are always too greasy to type the review while I'm eating! I must first say that this place is a caloric bomb! This is a true place for the meat eater conisseaur. If your looking for a bigger waistline this is the place and so worth everybite! I eat here just once a month. If I ate here anymore I would be 300 pounds. Their burgers are like liquid crack! The gooey cheese and the smashed flat burgers dripping of grease. Its like a masterpiece of fat and flavor that explodes in your mouth! They toast the bun for you which is great but as soon as it's wrapped in the foil it becomes a steam bun of greatness. The only complaint I have is the fries.....Ive had better and I give them credit for handcut fries but they don't live up to their potential. They get limp and soft with no integrity very quickly. Maybe I'm being too picky but people want an honest review. We are all entitled to our opinions and they ate just that, opinions. ...so if you want the best tasting burger served in nothing more than a brown paper bag dripping in grease and wrapped in foil. And who wouldnt??? This is the place! Take a trip to flavor town and you won't wanna come back!

Being from a state without Five Guys, I wanted to see what the hype was about. First off - expensive! $11.63 for a burger, Coke, and regular fry. And it was about a ten-minute wait, which was expected. First off - free peanuts, fine, but it's kind of a weird combination for burgers and fries. Next up - the fries, while good, weren't anything amazing. Of course they were fresh but they were on the edge of being overcooked. You get a lot, as most people say. A large is enough for 3 people. The burger - I got around 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 patty, stacked on top of each other. Weird. The meat was flavorless, it didn't taste like it even had salt or pepper on it. The toppings were good, the bun was good quality. But I'd take a Checkers or Wendy's burger in a second. I appreciate the simple menu but wouldn't mind a few more items, mlikshakes for example. The fountain Coke was fine.

If you happen to find yourself in the area of West Broward County, you can experience the bliss which is Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Located in a shopping center about 3 miles east of the Sawgrass' Atlantic exit, it is one of only three FGBF's currently located in Broward County. On par with many of the other FGBF's that I have been to, you can expect the same friendly service, free peanuts, delicious burgers with free toppings and expect to be served an overload of freshly cut fries. Although FGBF's have perfected the burger and fry, my only gripe (as with the other locations) is that they refuse to give you a tray (a la Ground Round--for those of you that remember---I think I am dating myself) or something else for the free peanuts.

  • S. G.

These burgers best by far the hype is right five guys got it down to a t. Freshly made burgers fresh cut potatoes turned to fries all you can eat peanuts while you wait and the burgers are automatically doubles which is just fine by me. When I crave a great burger it's gotta be Five Guys.

Surprise surprise I'm at another Five Guys this will be my fourth different one. Out shopping and we get hungry so what does the average yelper do??? Pull out your phone and see whats nearby and read it's reviews. The nearest place was Applebees...they had a two star review haaa they wont get my money. So we notice a Five Guys one mile up the street so we slide there, to my surprise it's two o'clock on a saturday and this place was empty!! Now in my crazy mind I'm saying "why is they empty is the food bad? Is there service bad or is it slow?" The workers was just waiting around for some costumers so we ordered the food came out and it was the same good ish I was expecting. But they need to take that old mami off the grill she took forever cooking the burgers.

Went here today and was welcomed with a smile. The guy at the register was very friendly and outgoing and made me feel welcomed. MY food was fresh and very tasty. Be warned that their small fries is enough for 2-3 people so if your by yourself like i was this time don't get the large cuz you will never finish it cuz a large will feed 4-6 people. I will defanatly go back.

Witch so many burger places popping up around coral springs, Five Guys still remains one of the best. The burger is itself is very good (because of the peanut oil they cook it in) and all the toppings for free get me every time. But theres something about the bun that seperates it for other burgers in my mind. Good burgers and Good fries! great place to go and get your burger fix.

The best. The gold standard. There have been a lot of trendy gourmet burger places popping up in recent years, and it is fun to try them all, but none of them can beat Five Guys. This place might not be trendy, and they will probably never have a bison burger on the menu, but if you want a great old-fashioned hamburger that is delicious every time, then this is the place for you.

A haiku for you: Lots of free toppings Five guys has some awesome meat And that's what she said

I hate Five Guys. Before my experience here, I was content with Burger King and McDonald's. Not anymore. This is the only burger place worth going to nearby Coral Springs. The peanuts are a nice add-on too! A note - the portions on their fries are huge! When they mean that the large serves 4 people, they mean it.

My oh my. I'd read the reviews, and certainly had high expectations... and still, they managed to exceed them! This was one fantastic burger! It was the middle of the week, and I decided to be a good daughter and treat my mom to dinner. So we made our way out west, and walked into a very crowded little restaurant. It's definitely "no frills" with their main decorations being lots of raving Washingtonian magazine reviews on the walls, and a large stack of potatoes near the order pick-up area. I was a tad bit apprehensive before approaching the cashier, since I need my burger to be well-done (I will not eat a red or pink burger... I like my cow dead, thankyouverymuch). So I was quite happy to see the sign by the menu, stating that they make all of their burgers well-done (my mother, meanwhile, likes all of her meat medium, so she was a bit worried. So it was all the more amazing to find a place that made BOTH of us rave about the same burger!). Thanks to reading previous reviews, I knew they'd also be quite generous with their portions of fries, so I suggested to my mother that we share an order. "No, get your own!" Okaaaay... she was soon sorry about that, because, holy cow, people weren't kidding... they practically fill the bag with fries. One small order would've EASILY filled us both, with some left over. So the food itself? Legen - wait for it - dary! (Sorry, I have to use a HIMYM reference when the situation allows for it). Honestly, SUCH a good burger. I only ordered the "little" cheeseburger, since the idea of a burger with 2 patties (their regular size) sounded like a bit much for me. The fries were awesome as well, although they could've been crispier. I liked the sign by the pick-up section that told you where today's potatoes came from (naturally, some city in Idaho). You really can't go wrong with this place. I can't come here often (for Weight Watchers' sake), but I will sure enjoy it when I do!

  • Charles B.

So I've had about a million people tell me how good five guys is so went and tried it during a break from work. I really don't understand where all of the hype comes from. I mean just about everyone likes the place from my friends to all the yelpers but it didn't rock my world , in fact it kind of tasted like ...dare I say...Mcdonalds. I know that might rub some people the wrong way but hey i never said Mickey D's burgers sucked. I just think the quality is not that much different (although getting a great choice of toppings is AWESOME!) and that its easier for people too say hey dude you have to try five guys, instead of man you have to get some golden arches up in here . But i will go again I suppose to give it another chance, more to come....
