Took a trip here after work for happy hour and was very impressed. $1.50 for domestic beer and $2.50 for imports beer!? Along with the majority of the sushi rolls being under $5.00 a roll and speciality rolls under $10.00! You cannot beat that. The fish is very fresh and service is great. The restaurant has quaint and quiet. It's fairly small. Sushi bar is tiny as well. I imagine it must get crazy in their during a dinner rush and the size makes it feel slightly cramped. I like that they also offer Chinese food along with the sushi. You can mix it up by ordering a bowl of General Tso Chicken and a Spicy Tuna Roll. Combinations are endless and variety is the spice of life. I'll definitely be returning here next Friday.

I just had a Salmon and Tuna roll. I wish I would have gotten two of each. Outstanding. I asked for extra wasabi, and I got it! Small mix up with order but great sushi. My son plays football right up the road. This will be a weekly visit.

This place really is as good as it gets! The salads are fresh, they make their sauces in house and they are delicious! We eat here once a week and I still crave it. The string bean chicken is the best I've ever eaten. My husband loves the garlic chicken. Don't miss this place! The service is friendly and fast too!

The food here is great every time I go. They have awesome Thom Ka Gai soup and Thai Green Curry. They also have sushi and chinese food. Sometimes the service can lag a bit and they often get to go orders wrong but its great to stop in and sit down for a meal. Overall , since I live just down the road, I go often.

The avocado salad was amazing as well as the steamed dumplings. The chicken skewers were quite touch and over cooked.

Great sushi, nice decor and friendly service. We had the super volcano roll and Godzilla roll. Both were delicious especially the super volcano roll which I will definitely be ordering again.

First time getting take out. Extremely impressed with how good everything was and how friendly the girls at the counter were. Great portions too. Definitely will make this part of my rotation.

I see that this place has not been reviewed yet, so I am excited to be the first. I have been wanting to try this place so I can find something different in my area for sushi. They kept advertising in local places with coupons for dinner, but I did not go for dinner this time. I went here today for lunch, and it was empty. Well, then again, there is really not much in this area except houses and publix, and this place is tucked in that strip mall, and it's Tuesday not any companies in the area. In the time I was there two customers walked in. I can tell they had been here a number of times bc of the nice way the owner greeted them in such a personable manner. Really recognizing your customers is a great touch that I do love. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted. They have an extensive menu of sushi, sashimi rolls, bento boxes, chinese food entrees, and lunch specials. I chose the shrimp and broccoli with fried rice, and the double dragon roll. I have downloaded pictures of the above. All that I had including that, the thai ice tea, won ton soup were all good. The service was good as well. The waiter assisted with different suggestions, and made sure to check on me, but never overwhelm me. I will be excited to try this place again. Another thing that is good too is that the combo plates included a choice of fried rice or white rice. Usually they only give you an option of white rice. My husband will be happy about that. Check this place out! It did make me happy.

Very happy I found this place, it is near my home. I had very low expectations for Lutz strip mall sushi, I must say, and I was VERY pleasantly surprised. I take regular trips down to Matoi which is my favorite in town. This place actually has a pretty funky atmosphere. LOVE the giant koi pond on the ceiling! My kids were happy with the extended Chinese/Asian menu though my hubby's chicken dish was kind of syrupy, and I think our local take-out (House of China) is way better in that regard. The sushi rolls, though, were first class all the way. Great ingredients, beautifully presented. Great, attentive service. This will become a regular for us!

Great Chinese food & sushi mix. One tip if you like chicken & broccoli is to check the sauce. Their default is a white sauce so if you are used to brown then you can ask for that. I've had it both ways there and it was good. The sushi is also good. Service was prompt and the kids love their sweet & sour chicken (sauce in the side). Prices are good. Large menu.

Love the sushi here. The prices are reasonable and the selection is huge. I usually stop in and get a to-go order on my way home from work once or twice a month. The service is fast and friendly. Love the Mexican rolls and the Salmon Sushi.

Best age tofu in town (I have tried it everywhere). They have a great happy hour sushi menu! My sonLOVES their chicken fried rice, and their killed-me general tsao chicken is REALLY spicy! Highly recommend this place.

I live really close to this place and was worried about going based on the mixed Yelp reviews. My wife and I decided to go and it was a very good decision. First of all rice and roll has happy hour during the weekdays from 4 to 7 p.m. During happy hour in addition to drink specials there are happy hour specials on sushi. We skipped the appetizer and ordered five different rolls. The food came out quickly and was made to order. The sushi with fresh and tasty and for the price paid exceptional value. The service was friendly, prompt, and accommodating. The restaurant was clean, had plenty of seating, and there was plenty of parking. This may not be my favorite sushi spot, but we'll defintely be back!

This place has great sushi and great meals, it is by far the best asian restaurant in North Tampa. The wait staff there is really great and the interior of the place is really beautiful. The gorgeous exotic decor sets a mood indeed. I come here often and would recommend it to anyone who appreciates good asian food, and sushi in particular. One time a waitress named Christina was our server and she was phenomenal, the best waitresses we have ever had in fact. I unfortunately forgot the names of two other people that waited for us, but they were great too (sorry I don't remember their names). I come here often and would recommend it to anyone.

Had sushi from here last week and it was fair. We have had good sushi from here, too, but unfortunately it isn't consistent. I don't think I would try it again. I will still come back and try the Chinese, as I've heard good things.

My husband found this place on yelp and was excited to go. Chinese places that we both like seem to be few and far between in Tampa. And we're both always looking to add another sushi place to our list. This place is a little hole in the wall in a shopping center seemingly in the middle of nowhere. We actually love hole in the wall places because our favorite restaurants always seem to be holes in the wall. What's so great about this place is that it has Chinese food and sushi. Our first visit we went a little crazy and tried tons of food. We spent $50, which is really reasonable when you consider that we stuffed ourselves silly and had leftovers for days. My husband is a huge fan of crab & cheese won tons but had not found any that were even halfway decent since moving to Tampa. The crab & cheese won tons here are absolutely amazing. Very yummy. We came back a second time, this time for dinner. This time we focused more on the Chinese food, though still ordered some sushi. A high point of this restaurant is the service. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and the chefs always ask us how we like our food. The servers here actually work as a team, which is becoming increasingly rare in our experience. If a server, who is not ours, walks by and sees empty water cups or plates stacking up they will take care of it, which we greatly appreciate. This may not be the absolute best sushi or Chinese food I've ever had, but they're both good, some of it is very good. The fact that I can get both here means we will keep coming back.

So the problem with the sushi here is it's not consistent. I've had good sushi and I've had pretty had sushi. The good sushi was 3.5/5 and the bad was 1.5/5. By bad I mean fish that is a bit funky. That is not good my friends. It's a shame because on a good day it's pretty good but I don't like taking the risk of possibly ending up with sashimi on an off night.

I went here during their happy hour to try some sushi, which is a very good deal BTW, at $3-7 per roll and $1 for a one piece sashimi or sushi. They have a great menu offering your typical Chinese, Thai, and Japanese dishes in addition to their sushi, so really there is something for everyone here unless you don't like Asian food. I tried their sashimi tuna and eel which were great especially the eel which had a crispy skin. For the sushi I got the Mexican and rainbow rolls. I usually try the rainbow at least once at every sushi place I go to so I can gauge the quality of several types of fish at once, it was okay the tuna was decent. The Mexican was one of the best shrimp tempura rolls I've had anywhere, definitely my favorite so far, makes me excited to try the dragon roll next time. My brother got the sumo roll and the spicy tuna roll they were both good but the spicy tuna was best. He also got the Tom Yum Goon which he said was about as good as some of my favorite Thai places, which was surprising. The service was good, the restaurant filled up shortly after I was seated and our server still was very attentive and the meal went very smoothly. The whole staff was friendly and my overall experience was good. I really look forward to trying more of their menu.

Not pleased ..not pleased at all..how did this place get 4 stars? I must be ordering the wrong thing or something ..just don't come come here for the Chinese food I called in a few dinner combos for pick up on my way home from work..I got bourbon chicken..pepper steak..and general chicken and beef chow mien.. Came home to lunch portion size meals (smaller than some other places' lunch portion actually) My bourbon chicken was dry ..covered in a liquid sauce so thin it was like water's consistency but darker..that sauce just kinda went all over my white rice..the pepper steak was ok..only thing decent was the general chicken cuz it was larger chunks of chicken that didn't have breading overkill...the white rice and fried rice were both too dry..and somehow I ended up with beef stir fry in a massive liquid concoction ..what happened to my beef chow mien noodles??! I wanted this to be my go to Chinese take out place cuz it's the nearest one..but darn..that's not happening now

I'm not a sushi eater, so my rating does NOT involve that. I gave 5 stars for the value. $7 for a shrimp with lobster sauce lunch WITH egg roll (or soup)? YES! Wouldn't give 5 stars just for the value, the food MUST be good and both items were VERY good! I don't know why I didn't picture a sit down type of place, but it is...my server was excellent. If you want to save money, get it to go and avoid the cost of a drink and tip.

Great little place for a quick lunch. Service is second to none (thx Babaro (sp))! They also have lunch specials everyday even Sunday. Wish they opened at 11 am though.

This place is wonderful. From the staff to the food. I've tried many of their Chinese dishes and sushi and it's all delicious. Cindy and Lee are the owners - they are so friendly. Awesome place!

Today was my day to see the doctor and do the usual check-up thing. The office scheduled my appointment for 10:30 in the morning and then asked if I would be fasting so that they could do all of the necessary blood work. I was practically frothing at the mouth when I got to the office since I didn't have my usual hot tea and fresh fruit to start the day. Despite my begging and pleading, they didn't do the blood draw until the end of the exam which meant it was getting close to 12 Noon. By this point in the day the exam table was starting to look mighty tasty, and thankfully they turned me loose before I tried to take a bite out of it. I had bookmarked a few eateries near his office (in far northern Lutz) and zoomed up the road till I found Rice N Roll in a nearby shopping center at the intersection of Dale Mabry and Lutz Lake Fern Road. Rice N Roll promotes themselves as a Japanese, Chinese, Thai & Asian Fusion restaurant offering fine dine in, take-out, and catering to the local community. That sounds presumptuous, but I found the restaurant and the food to be mighty delicious. Their menu has a long listing of Asian delights with a wide variety of lunch specials and a full sushi bar. I sat at the bar and ordered a couple of rolls -- the Red Dragon and the Spicy Yellowtail. Both rolls were excellent, with very fresh fish and tasty mixtures of veggies, fish, and creative sauces. The restaurant was surprisingly full for lunch with a lot of medical staff from the nearby St. Joseph's North Hospital, as well as local business people, and a crowd of regulars. Many people were ordering their meals to go which ranged from traditional Chinese carryout, noodle bowls, curry, and sushi. If you find yourself way up the road near the Pasco county line, then I'd suggest looking for Rice N Roll in the back corner of the Publix shopping center. The staff is very friendly, and they offer a wide variety of delicious Asian cuisine.

I have been going for 5 years religiously . That has abruptly changed. My server not only talked with attitude but had zero knowledge of the menu . Our drinks were only refilled once a different server was kind enough to see we were empty , since our server was no where to be found . We sat with our dirty plates there for the whole stay. As a server I try to give servers the benifit of the doubt but this was so ridiculous.
