I can't tell you enough how great this place is. You will be satisfied and full to the max. Abe is delightful and down to earth individual who has an amazing passion for sharing his love of traditional Lebanese food. Gyros are wonderful, the Kafta is fantastic and the chicken is savory. Everything is handmade including the salad dressing and stuffed grape leaves. The Baba is a must!
Great local business. Don't pass it up. Gyros are really good and so is the fresh tabouleh. Ask for fries and watch your potato get sliced and fried before your eyes. So glad yo gave Gyro Zone nearby.
Food is amazing and the owner is a great guy who really cares about great food. Abe needs our help. gofundme.com/nx06c8

Nabruzzi Trattoria

Reviews:
We were very impressed after trying this Trattoria for the first time on Friday. We found this place on yelp and was surprised to find out its location. It is fairly close to us but we had never noticed the restaurant when driving along Van Dyke before. The owners and staff clearly take pride in what they are doing here and it shows with the knowledgable and professional wait staff, sophisticated decor and beautiful food presentation. Not only did it look great, but the quality and flavors were spot on. They have plenty of employees working to make sure their guests are taken care of to the highest standard. The best part about this restaurant is that it is accessible fine dining. It is great to know that there is such a restaurant close to home that is actually affordable. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion and suggest to make reservations ahead of time. We will definitely be returning.
Love love love this family owned restaurant! A true treasure in the north dale mabry area! Be sure to call ahead to make a reservation because they are always a packed house! From the wood fired pizzas to the freshly made pastas...this restaurant is worth a visit! They are very accommodating to special requests (even requests for kids menu items). Be sure to save room for dessert--- limoncello cake and chocolate pyramid are delicious!
Our friends & I were looking for a fine dining experience that didn't involve driving South of Kennedy Blvd. In Nabruzzi Traattoria we found just that. The food is truly exceptional, beautifully presented by a knowledgeable and pleasant staff. All the dishes we ordered were prepared to perfection & generous in portion size. The server even offered the prices on the "specials" without being prompted which is always nice. We will definitely be returning there again. Make sure you make reservations as it's always packed. If you want a quieter table, ask for the room in the back.

The best gelato this side of Italy! All natural, some flavors change weekly so there is always a new treat to try. All natural fresh baked breads, cookies, danish & croissants. The chocolate chip & peanut butter cookires are outstanding and so is the multigrain whole grain bread. Atmosphere is Northern Italian and cozy. Try it , you will be glad you did.
Stopped at Gionata's Gelateria and Cafe today and had some delicious gelatin (Italian ice cream). The coconut was fabulous and the ultimate cookies and cream was also wonderful. The cafe is very cute. They also have artisan breads, flavored coffees, sandwiches, and other treats. The owners were so nice...actually sat and talked with us for a bit. I would definitely recommend for a special treat.

I borderline don't want to review this place because I don't want to share it with others. But, since I am a good yelper, I will share. Begrudgingly. I keep hearing about Hattie's from some friends who live nearby. I have seen a few photos of their pastries and they look delicious. Plus, I heard they had great coffee. I was really happy to visit Hattie's on afternoon after a long bike ride on the nearby Suncoast Trail and I was pretty hungry & thirsty. They were still serving breakfast and that made me very happy. There were so many tasty looking options that I had a very hard time deciding. I went with a .69 cent coffee (Mon-Wed is only .69 coffee! Suck on that expensive chains!) and a bacon, egg, and cheese on rye sandwich called the nest or something. Basically the egg is cooked in the bread as a "nest" and the other yummy stuff is between that. It was awesome! My coffee was perfect and I love free coffee refills, especially when the first cup is so cheap! The service was really good and I wound up getting a chocolate croissant to cap off my meal. It was chocolatey and divine. I cannot wait to go back and try some other meals at this adorable little establishment.
This is the best damn thing to happen to Lutz. Service is beyond amazing. They make you feel like a neighbor. I always used to go for breakfast. Try everything once if you can. They work around your dietary restrictions, and I know this as a vegetarian. I don't work nearby anymore, but I'm sure as hell going to make my way through once or twice a month.
This place has become our favorite breakfast place in town. All their ingredients are always fresh and delish. My husband and I come every weekend for a coffee and breakfast and have never been disappointed. Gotta try heir cafe con leche!

Reviews:
The bagels are VERY good. Coffee meh. Also, when I walked in I wasn't sure where to go (you order at the first counter/pay at the second). That could be a me thing I was low on coffee this AM. :) I had the southern classic sandwich on a toasted everything bagel. Again, bagel was great. Soft but chewy on the outside. Yum! The eggs seemed like eggbeaters and the sausage was likely some off brand frozen patty. Cheese was the same - some off brand american slice. To put it bluntly, the fillings did the bagel no justice. I have to say the lady at the counter was a total dear. She told me about ordering without making me feel stupid and I watched as she interacted with her regulars... She is EXACTLY the person you want to work at a breakfast place. Smiling, kind and highly engaged with her customers. This place is cute and our area lacks this type if charm. I'm forgiving the sandwich filling and adding a star for service. I'll be back but maybe just for a bagel and cream cheese next time.
I was in town visiting family and I was craving a bagel and lox. Knowing that a truly good bagel is hard to come by in Florida (being a Jersey girl) I went to good ol' yelp to help me out and I wasn't disappointed. The bagel was great and all the items they put on we're fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place for a good bagel!
Very average. But very nice! It's casual just bagels, muffins, sandwiches etc. I ordered the Cheddar cheese ham, and my mom got the honey oat bagel. They have some muffins, smoothies, shakes, and tea, so if you're just looking for something "on the go" this is the place! Oh and they have free wifi! :)

Just checking into to say this place is STILL awesome! Great food, big portions with loaded ingredients!! Call in for take out a few times and they know your voice (and if you generally get the same items, your order) on the phone. I try all of the new places I can, but I have to say this is still our most reliable and favorite regular!
A staple in the Lutz area. I have been eating here since the 1990's and the food has always been very good.
By far, this is the best Chinese food I have had in the area. The food is full of flavor, and they are very quick! Worth the drive if you don't live in Lutz. These guys don't skimp like the others do.

Capri Pizza & Pasta

19265 N Dale Mabry Hwy
Lutz, 33548
Reviews:
I had heard so many good things about this place...but I should have realized they did not come from folks who grew up in the NY/NJ area...LOL Unfortunately, Capri is simply one of a thousand Florida pizza places that claims to make real New York Pizza but doesn't really have a clue. The crust was doughy or leathery and the sauce was bland and cheap. The cheese was close to adequate, but overall this was extremely disappointing because I had friends who raved to me abou this place. If you grew up in Florida and order takeout from Papa John's, Domino's, etc...then this place will be a nice treat for you. If you grew up with real Pizza, then you need to look elsewhere as there actually are a few legit places in the Tampa Bay region.
Pizza sounded like a good idea so we decided to stop in and pick up a pizza to go. We ordered the Capri pizza which was kind of like a pizza with the works but with a little less stuff. Stopping here and ordering the Capri turned out to both be good ideas. This seems to be a mom and pop business and the people working there were all pleasant. The place also seemed clean and most importantly the pizza was great! I recommend this local pizza place. In fact, my wife is picking up pizza from Capri's as I yelp this review :-)
Sobif ever in Lutz, FL, and you are looking for great food at a decent price then this place is for you. It really is family owned as the daughter was serving me while her dad and son works the line. Authentic hand tossed pizza with a nice flavor on their garlic rolls which are really soft. Definatly worth eating at and good for kids - after all, a lot of people like Pizza!

This is a neat little place located in a Shopping Center. Once inside, you'll find a nice set up complete with a decent length bar, and table and booth seating. The menu provides a nice variety to choose from. I've eaten here a couple of times and each time the food was good. The nice thing about the food is that it isn't greasy like most "bar food". The nachos are probably my favorite. The portions are good sized and the prices are very reasonable, actually on the low end. The staff are pleasant and attentive, the environment is pleasant, the food is tasty, and the price is right. I try not to go to the same place too often, as I enjoy trying new things, but I may make an exception for this place.
Good place for drinks and sports. Trivia on Wednesdays.. not crazy about the menu, but I don't come here to drink anyway.
Nice local bar. Decent selection of beers and they have a full bar which is nice since a lot of brew places only serve beer and wine. The food is good for bar food we like the baked chicken tenders, the salads and burger are all very good. Service is just whatever not the most welcoming bar tenders. Can bring our dog on the patio out front which is a huge plus for us. Overall good food, enough tvs to watch games good spot for Sunday football.

Subs N Such

It should be criminal to get anything but the Cuban here.
Great subs but I hate that they charge extra to butter and press their Cuban subs. You'll never eat at subway or publix again! The sandwiches here are excellent and it's definitely worth the drive plus they have an amazing soda selection. Most you won't find anywhere else. Of course you pay dearly for them but like I said before, it's definitely worth it.
Subs are and have always been large, but MEH. I've been going here since about 1997, and the only reason I really go is to get the regional sodas from around the country. This is the World of Beer of soda... In fact, they should change the name to World of Soda. If you're from the NE and you miss the taste of Moxie, or if you're from the Carolinas and you crave some Cheerwine, this is the place to be! I think I'll head up there today...

Pizza Suprema

Reviews:
Delicious, quality all around. At first I was a little intimidated by the price (not saying it's outrageous but I'm a college student) but my boyfriend and I quickly decided we'd rather eat less pizza in favor of eating better pizza when we do. I love the flavor and the crust, which is soft, chewy and crispy all at once. When we need pizza and beer night this is the place for us!
I wish I could give them a 2 1/2 the pizza was good. Not great I would order it more often if they delivered. Going to pick the pizza up was a real turn off. The owner was very loud and rude. Down right nasty and disrespectful to the employee's. That is the biggest reason we don't go back.
When Pizza Suprema first opened their shop next to the dry cleaners on Collier Parkway near SR-54 they put out a superior pizza. It was fantastic in aroma and taste. Tonight we purchased two large pizzas and garlic knots. The pizza was not completely cooked and tasted horrible. It was like cardboard with a slight coating of chewy plastic as a topping. Disappointed to say the least.
