This place is awesome! It's a little piece of Argentina in Tampa Bay. They have everything you can ask for, even if it's not on the menu. It's a place where you could order the entire menu because everything (I've tried so far) is excellent. The empanadas are soooo good, they have really good meat, salads, homemade pasta, and the desserts are to die for. You don't have to be Argentinean to like this place, anyone would love it!!!! Yesterday I had a tostado (grilled ham and cheese sandwich). Unbelievable. The prices are very low for what you get. The servings are huge, you won't be hungry after leaving here. It's BYOB too! I was here last week for the first time and went again yesterday. I'm already planning to go back next week.

Even though it takes two to tango, I entered alone. Tango Deli offers a combination of Italian, Mediterranean, and Argentinian recipes. It's located in a large strip mall off of Missouri Avenue next to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. It's fairly large on the inside, and there's nine two-top tables should you decide to dine in as I did. They also offer pick-up and delivery. I confirmed with the owner that they deliver to my location, and although not on the menu, they would happily prepare a grilled cheese sandwich for my little one, score! They have a decent sized menu, they offer cold, hot, and specialty sandwiches, along with salads, pastas, empanadas and desserts. I settled upon their Tango Steak Sandwich which consisted of grilled steak, ham, cheese, lettuce, egg, tomatoes and their signature chimichurri sauce. I also tossed in a beef empanada, which had a very nice and flaky crust, I demolished it in two bites. When the Tango Steak Sandwich arrived, not only did it look delicious, it also looked like it was going to be messy. The first bite was in fact delicious, all the flavors worked well together. My only complaint is that the steak was a little tough, so it made me have to use some ripping motions with my head and teeth, which caused the sandwich to fall apart. Nothing several napkins couldn't take care of, but having a more tender steak would have made this sandwich a homerun for sure. The service was great, and the owner was friendly, I'm definitely going to try some of their other dishes and desserts. Stop ordering from those chains, get out and support local businesses.

I don't think I could top a review as long as Warren's; he's pretty much covered everything that's great about this place. Tango is quiet, spacious, and deserving of more customers. I was greeted upon arrival by whom I assumed was the owner, and placed my order for one of their lunch specials: two empanadas with chips and a drink for $5.00. Not bad! I requested spinach and chicken, but apparently they make it as they go and in batches, so instead I went with a beef and a spicy beef empanada. I sat down and was served with a simple yet cute dish of my order. Although small, the empanadas were filling and delicious especially with salsa. And the spicy beef had just enough kick without being overwhelming. I wish I could have just tried all of their foods instead of going for a meal. The only thing I was disappointed in was the chips - I expected tortilla chips, not Lays. But overall, this lunch special was worth the $5.00. I'll definitely return to try their other dishes. It beats going to Subway during my breaks, that's for sure!

The food is amazing and I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants to try Argentinean food, but unfortunately I'd have to warn the American foodie crowd that the place could never soar to five stars as long as it looks like a run down bar in an Argentinean neighborhood bar. I can tell that the owners haven't got out much to recognize the importance of modern decor and great customer service. The joint looks scary to the typical middle class American and so it's doomed to a smaller circle who already know the customs. I'm Argentinean and I admit that bringing an American wife is more an embarrassment than something to be proud of. To give specifics, the place looks bare, the furniture cheap and tired and if you've watched the food network, this needs a makeover by Chef Ramsey or Robert Irvine. But hey, the quality of the food is great.

Unbelievable food, prices and service!!! The milanesa napolitana is big enough for 4, the empanadas are fantastic, an unbelievable bargain at 3 for 5 dollars. The ravioli are homemade and superb and the picanha steak was super tasty and juicy. The flan with dulce de leche was better than my mom's. The staff was super friendly and attentive. A piece of Buenos Aires in Largo, do not miss it, we'll be back soon!
