Agree with the long review this location is great. Friendliest staff and the owner is there a lot taking the orders and being hospitable which shows he cares about the business. They just remodeled and added wings to the menu. Try the tacos on Tuesday for a surprise treat from a good sub and Gyro shop.

I've tried the gyros at Seminole Subs and Gyros a couple of times now and I've got to admit that they taste great and one gets a lot of food for the money. A gyro on pita is literally big enough to feed two people and only cost a little over 6 bucks. Next time I stop in there I'll try a sub and let you know how that goes. This place is nothing to rave about as far as atmosphere and when I've been in there the cooks did not wear hair nets(see lisa c.'s review), but cooks/chefs in better kitchens don't wear nets all that often. I give 3 stars for the actual food, for the time being, and I'll get the food to go so I don't have to take in the lack of ambience.

Never a bad sandwich in this place. Great price point.

Although I have found something questionable a few times I went here I still go back. 1) My lunch sidekick asked for French dressing on his salad and he got Catalina dressing or a concoction. 2) I have not noticed the lack of hair nets as another Yelper has and now I will take notice. 3) The cheeseburgers are tasty but the cheese is a questionable variety. I also have to note I avoid places that offer more than two different kind of cuisines b/c they can't possibly get them both right. I can't comment on the gyros yet because I haven't tried them, the burgers and chicken sandwich were worth the wait and the drive through is helpful when I have my dog in the car. Every employee has always been very nice, they are open late for dinner and they offer "specials" occasionally worth a try. Everyone needs a goto like this in their neighborhood for when you don't feel like cooking.

This place has changed. The people are super friendly, the food is awesome and the prices are reasonable. I have been coming here for quite some time, and they have definitely improved their service and food.

Stopped in for a lunchtime meal with the kids. The place was packed and staff very friendly when arriving. We were three steep in the line and a lady came out to take our order. The kids wanted a pita pizza and I got the gyro. The food came out quickly and pipping hot. I opened up the gyro and it looked great. Huge chunks of mystery meat yogurt sauce and tomatoes were stuffed inside a pita. The pita pizza was loaded with cheese and pepperoni. The gyro had to have been one of the best I've had here and the only one better was a diner in NY called Mikes Place. The pita pizza was ok. The kids liked it and I had a slice. Sauce was ok and don't think it was homemade. This is a great little place to stop. You won't be disappointed at all. Especially if you order the gyro.

Its not the best I've ever had, but its definitely not the worst. The gyros are pretty good as well as their steak and cheese. They go a little light on the veggies with the steak and cheese "the works" which is supposed to be onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. Barely had any mushrooms and peppers on there so I had to knock a star off for that. If I pay for "the works" then I expect more than a few chopped up pieces. Still the bun is great and the steak is very tender. Yeah the atmosphere is lame but who cares as long as the food is decent.

Best sandwich shop in my neighborhood. Fresh Greek food, hearty salads, and amazing baklava. The gyro is the best, the chicken gyro is fantastic too. Their Cubans are great so are their cheese steaks. Family owned and run. They have redecorated the interior some recently, it's clean, pleasant, and nice. Sometimes we get the roasted chicken meat and make sides and a salad at home and it never disappoints. I bring my friends and family from out of town and they always want to return. If you're in the area grab a meal here you'll be back.

For the Seminole Blvd location - The Good: Gyro on pita loaded with moist, tender, and flavorful meat. The best that I've had in a longtime. The Bad: fries and mozzarella sticks served cold. The Ugly: Eggplant Parmesan sandwich inedible. Eggplant was overcooked and tough, hardly able to cut with knife and fork, and greasy beyond belief. They also got our order wrong three times, inexcusable since there where only two other customers in the place at that time.

This place is delicious! I got the gyro on pita for lunch and it was LOADED with delicious and juicy meat along with fresh tomato and onion and plenty of tzatiki! I got the chicken salad to have for dinner later that evening and it was huge! There was a ton of grilled chicken and veggies that I made it last two meals. The service was also phenomenal, I'll definitely be back soon.

Tried this on a whim while working in Tampa. A great late night spot outside of your typical fast food chains. I got the gyro and it was stuffed to the brim. My only complaint was that it was so overstuffed that a lot of the meat fell out while I was attempting to eat while driving. Will definitely revisit this spot whenever I'm back in Tampa.

I've been going to Seminole Subs for 15 years. I like how they have kept up with updating their store and it's cleanliness. Their gyros, chicken on pita, subs are vey good and packed full with meat and veggies. I enjoy their steak subs. That and an order of onion rings cooked FRESH to order are delicious! Its a great place.

One of the best Gyros I've ever had. The food was served quickly and was still piping hot when we arrived home. Great flavor and generous portions. Best Gyro in town.

There are three Seminole Subs & Gyros, all independently owned and operated. This review is for the store on Seminole Blvd. I've been going to "my" store for years and the food has always been delicious, served promptly and of consistent high-quality. They serve a wide variety of hot and cold subs (of course) but also burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, chicken fingers, seafood, HUGE salads and for dessert, shakes, floats and even Baklava, the Greek God of sugar shock. Most menu items can be made into platters, which feature a fresh generous salad and small-cut "school" fries. My only complaint would be that drinks, both fountain and cans, are sold separately, though as a Special they do at times offer drinks free with platters. This is my go-to place for gyros (both chicken and standard gyro meat available) which is all I happily ate there for years. As a newly-minted Yelper I decided I better branch out, so I tried the Cheeseburger Sub, which exactly describes it, two cheeseburger patties and choice of condiments on a sub roll. Of course it was delicious, and the sub shape makes it less messy. The Bacon Chicken Ranch sub caught me off guard with the delectability of the grilled chicken. I daresay it would have been just as awesome even **without** the bacon, and there ain't many things in life that can't be improved by bacon (for example my computer keyboard is made of bacon). The restaurant is hard booths and chairs, bare-bones but comfortable. After placing your order a friendly server brings the tray to you. There is a drive-thru and takeout service so the focus is obviously on the food. Including drinks, most items come in around 5-7 bucks and the platters 8-10 bucks, but you get SO much food if you save half for later you've got a whole other meal. Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to buy another keyboard. If you still haven't eaten yours, Seminole Subs & Gyros has their own website ( seminolesubs.com ) and is even on Facebook.

This is the only place to get gyros from in my opinion. They are absolutely delicious and so packed full of meat. Mmmm I want one now just talking about it! Try the chicken gyro too. Everything I have had here is very tasty. Great subs, burgers, side orders etc, but those gyros........yumm!!!
