Since my Chinese girlfriend and I were learning some conversational Cantonese it was sort of fun practicing at a place where a wisened old manager came up with the food. He was very nice. He even had the greatest white long beard you might have seen in martial arts movies. We had the Shrimp and Noodle, the Beef Noodle (Bowl), and for an appetizer Mini Pork Buns (the kind with soup in the middle). One of the biggest surprises off the bat is how big the portions are, in fact we shared both of our Shrimp and Noodle/Beef Noodle entrees. They were fit for two to three people each! Unfortunatel the Mini Pork Buns did not live up to our expectations, they fell apart far too easily and weren't the same as places in Chinatown Boston. But, regardless, that Beef Noodle Bowl with its rich, decadent broth... mmm it's enough to warm your heart, soul and mind. In my mind, the only place's soup which compares might be Bich Nga around Pinellas Park. I would have given five stars if they had a better Mini Pork Bun and if the service was a little quicker at the beginning, but their Beef Noodle and large portion sizes are amazing! I'm definitely a fan and will be back for that Beef Noodle bowl.

We ordered delivery instead of going out one night of our vacation in Indian Shores, while waiting out a pretty good Gulf thunderstorm. This experience helped us finally discover that there's at least one thing that's better in Illinois...not the views, not the seafood, *definitely* not the weather, but the Chinese takeout? Yep. The online ordering system didn't strike me as super user-friendly, but I'm persistent and I got through it just fine. The soonest we could have our delivery scheduled was 50 minutes out, which seemed a bit much for a Wednesday night, but I optimistically took that as a sign that they're busy. Our order was about 15 minutes late, when we called the first time to check on it. The person who answered told me that she didn't speak enough English, and I'd have to call back in 10 minutes. Then she hung up. Nice. I called back about 5 minutes later (like I said, I'm persistent) and this time I got an expanded version of the story, which was that the manager was out of the shop and would call me back in 10 minutes. I'm not sure if she meant 10 minutes from the first call or the second. The promised call did not in fact come until about 30 minutes later, at which point out delivery guy had finally showed up (with no attempt to explain what had taken so long) and we were mid-meal. The food? Nothing was bad, but the whole meal was nothing to write home about. Our go-to Chinese place back home, with more flavorful food at lower prices, would put this place out of business in a month.

Run of the mill Chinese food, carry out only. Not the best, but far from the worst. I had chicken with snow peas, $8 with an eggroll. Pretty good, I'll probably have it again.

Surprisingly great smoky fried rice - get this you'd love it!!! Potsticker filler taste spoiled and just skip the hot and sour soup. Taste like they put Mae Ploy bbq chicken dipping sauce in it. They do put carrots in hot and sour soup. Lol!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
