Went for dinner last night, when they had a full moon party. I was surprised that the only option was a 3 course meal at a set price, as this was not disclosed when we made the reservation. The food was good and the place is beautiful, but the service was TERRIBLE. Our waitress (Lina) is a nice girl, but she was more interested in her friends and the party downstairs than in serving us. She'd go for over 20 minutes without checking on us or bringing drinks or desert. When we complained she got very defensive - "hey, I only bring the food..." Our bill was $120/person, which I also found higher than it should have been (we had the set menu and 2 beers / cocktails each). They charge 18% min service regardless of number of people. Would not return.

It's not so often you decide to up and just drive to the keys just to get out of town... But you want something a little extra special ... In the keys? Naaah everything is so "5 o clock somewhere"/ Margaritaville jimmy buffet style ... Or is it? .... Hello Pierre's... A most beautiful idyllic setting ... Almost blink and miss it... Nestled on its own little beach front ... Truly an aha moment when you walk into the joint... So a relaxed colorful beachside cafe on the left... Complete with idea Adirondack chairs almost too perfect... And on the right, majestic southern style house which is home to the most perfect little bar complete with plantation style porch seating ... Lively DJ creates a great scene in the bar.... And upstairs ... The magic begins.. Caribbean influenced, warm and cozy ... So beautiful and breathtaking... A word of caution if you're there for dinner just before sunset it's really warm on the balcony... But if you can stand it just until the sun sets then you've got the best seat in the house... Otherwise indoors is equally magical.. From the amazingly alert and inspired staff, so friendly and pleasant ... And the food! Oh.. The whole point of this review is to tell you how amazing the food is... But I got sidetracked! Grilled octopus just grilled to perfection... New York strip steak ... Just perfect! Steak au poivre... Peppercorn sauce on point! Grilled lamb chops .... Wow! So tender and juicy and the vegetables also worth highlighting ... Perfect crunch and seasoning ... Very pleasant wine list... Just great service, food, ambience ... Overall a winner I just hope the rumors of them being sold or for sale are untrue... Such a shame it would be to lose such a gem.

Really? I feel like everyone who actually reviews this place negatively deserves to not visit the Florida Keys at all. If you are looking for a fast-paced restaurant environment then obviously this is not the best suited spot. Come one, people, who really complains about waiting 15 minutes for a table when you get that kind of views? In any case, I would highly advise against visiting Pierre's if you are in a heated rush. I personally have never had a single problem with the food and/or service. Otherwise, please plan to stay here for a while, catch the sunset, have a drink or three. Enjoy the reggae bands on both sides, walk, capture the views by taking amazing photographs and PLEASE for you own sake, do not be in a rush, or else, you will have a less than pleasant time. Guaranteed. Florida keys is all about relaxing -- takin' it easy! If you have not been to one of their ever-so-famous FULL MOON parties, then I must-must go. Lovely beachfront tiki bars, firework, dancers, Bahamian-style Parades -- its like a circus thru the sand area, I believe the cover is $20 pp 21+

Why fly all the way to France for overpriced food served with a bad attitude? The Keys are all about laid back good times. So why dress up, over pay for food that is moderate at best and get served up a full dish of attitude? If you are asking yourself this, stay away from Pierre's. While the scenery is beautiful, it can't overcome the pretentious, bait and switch served up from the staff. It starts from the manager on down. Really, there are too many great places in the Keys to waste your time and money on this one. Stay away!

Wish I could give this place 5 stars. Honestly kind of ruined our new year since we reserved the 9pm seating but didn't eat until 10:30 with two toddlers, each course took longer and longer, and the food was bland at best. Cous Cous had no flavor whatsoever (did they even use salt??), scallop ceviche was a hack job and slices were way too thick, raw green beans, had champagne spilled on me...service was horrible..What a waste of $220 a person. I blame the management for poor organization and not having enough staff. Very disappointing. Been coming here for years but probably won't come

Expensive and worth it. I may be a little bias as I got married here. The plantation style restaurant has great ambiance, the upstairs has a fantastic view of the bay. Food is great, french with good portions sizes, and always on the money taste wise. Spot is romantic, not someplace to take your kids, but a great spot out for you and the mrs. Nice wine list, bar down stairs is well stocked, and you can't beat the sunsets.

We held our wedding at Pierre's. Lovely restaurant. The most important thing is that the guests all loved the setting/scenery. BUT DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE!!!! Behind the scenes, this place was a nightmare to deal with. Our "Wedding Coordinator" didn't coordinate anything other than making sure they had my credit card number. And the final bill was a joke. Completely fabricated the number of drinks consumed by our guests. In the end, it was our fault for not having a "check and balance" somehow on the drink count, but the proprietors of this establishment are flat-out dishonest. Contrast that to the bar down the street where we held our Friday welcome dinner, who didn't try to charge us for one single extra drink. Disappointing too, as my wife and her family have fond memories of Pierre's from many years of family trips to the keys, but even my wife was appalled at how bad they screwed us at our wedding.

Their customer service is sad. I tried to make a reservation for when I would be in Islamorada on vacation, but after being put on hold for 10 - 15 minutes and then hung up on 3 times I used their website. Made a reservation and lo and behold! No confirmation! No email back! Nada! Went there the evening of the reservation and guess what? Nada! They weren't open that evening, even though their website say they are! My family and I went to Chef Michael's and Kaiyo Grill on successive nights instead.

Came during full moon party. Just went to bar, but very stuffy, very overpriced, $16 cocktails at bar, the vichyssoise was average as was the oystafella. Wanted to like, but not.

Me and 9 of my girlfriends went here this past weekend as part of my bachelorette weekend celebrations. Let me just say, thank goodness we were in good company, otherwise we would have all felt literally robbed by this place. It gives off a good first impression, the outside if very cute and the inside as a beachy charm to it. However, thats where the good ends and the bad begins. First off, everything on the menu is way over priced and the portions are extremely tiny. I get that they are trying to give off a "fancy" vibe, but over $30 for 4 small scallops is pathetic. The salted langostines were overcooked and had about 1/2 a bite in each. It was not tasty and extremely hard to eat. The rock salt on the bottom of the langostines was not edible. For $18, I was expecting large, plump, delicious langostines, but NOPE...very disappointing. Other sub-par items that were ordered included the over cooked lobster in a watery tomato sauce with literally NO seasoning and no taste whatsoever. How can a "nice" seafood restaurant mess up lobster?? It was split between 3 people and there was still a large portion left over for me to try, if that gives you any indication of how unedible this lobster was. For $45 a lobster, it better be delicious and this one certainly was not. Even more disconcerting was the attitude of our waiter when we advised him that NONE of us 10 girls enjoyed our meal. His response was "why didn't you tell me that while you were eating it?" When we told him he NEVER (not once) asked us how our meal was, he proceeded to argue back that he "asked us twice" (which is false). Although he ended up removing the lobster from our bill, his attitude left a bad taste in all our mouths (or was that just the food?). The side dishes didn't compensate for the tasteless food. The orzo was bland with not one ounce of seasoning (literally plane boiled orzo). We weren't impressed with the veggies or any of the other sides either. The piping hot bread was probably the best part of the meal. Although, they brought it out one piece at a time and at times giving only to some of us at the table and not all. All in all, we basically felt robbed paying $70 per person for a very BELOW AVERAGE dinner at a wanna-be fancy restuarant. Save your money and find yourself a resturant with actual good food that doesn't hide behind the smoke and mirrors of their "ambiance." There was no DJ (as advertised) and the music practically put us all to sleep while eating. This is my first yelp review, but I felt compelled to write it due to all of the confusingly good reviews this place has (which convinced us this would be a good place to celebrate my bachelorette party). Buyer beware!!!

Recently reopened. The service was quick but impersonal. The rack of lamb and cedar plank grilled salmon were amazing. Right across the street from Chef Michael's. If your looking for better food and views head to Pierre's, but the service at Chef Michael's was much better

Fine dining in the Keys! We were recommended this restaurant and seeing as I wasn't going to be celebrating New Years with the family due to my flying back to London on the actual Eve, we decided to have our celebration a day early. Set in what looks like a beautiful plantation style house and decorated in South Asian art inside, the restaurant is upstairs with a very nice looking bar downstairs. Clothing is fairly casual being the keys, but they do like you to wear long pants and not shorts. My lobster chowder was heavenly, nicely spiced with a thick lobster flavour that shone through the creaminess of the soup, ribeye that followed was similarly well executed, being a wonderful medium rare. No room for dessert and unfortunately unable to try the wine (designated driver for the night and my personal rule is not a drop when driving). It just gives me a reason to go back though. The location, ambiance and food makes it a keeper for the next time I'm in the Keys.

Great Atmosphere and Location, BETTER Food and Drinks! Love this place! For several years now, my family and I have dined at Pierre's restaurant. You can't beat the amazing sunset views but most of all the exquisite food. We went back this weekend for the half moon party. Once again Pierre's did not disappoint. Top notch food and extensive wine list. To start off with our party of 7 dined on the grilled octopus, scallops and blue point oysters (best baked oysters I've ever had) all were very tasty. Our entrees consisted of the daily catch snapper, ribeye and my favorite dish of all the seafood curry. Every dish was cooked to perfection so full of flavor and had the MOST amazing presentation. We of course saved some room for some dessert. My favorites of the night were the mouth watering Creme Brûlée and the chocolate bomb was to die for. The highlight of our evening was having the pleasure of meeting the new Chef Ishmael we got to thank him personally for one of the best meals we have had at Pierre's to date! Thanks Pierre's for another amazing night...can't wait to be back.

Went to Pierre's for their Valentine's Day prix fixe and had an amazing time! We thought the atmosphere was beautiful and both had great food! The tuna tataki was perfectly seared and the rose wine pairing was excellent. The next course was salad which was mediocre and flavorless, I should have got the crab vichyssoise which was delightful! The main lobster with the coconut sauce was worth the whole meal, it was phenomenal and the filet mignon was cooked perfectly! The key lime tart was definitely better than the chocolate temptation cake! Overall the experience was fantastic and the food did not disappoint! Slightly over priced, $467 for two with wine pairings. If you are looking for a romantic way to end your vacation, Pierre's is definitely it! Pros: beautiful location, charming romantic atmosphere, great service, spectacular food Cons: slightly overpriced, paying for the experience and location

Great place. We were swayed by the concierge at Cheeka Lodge to go elsewhere, but we had eaten at Pierre's years ago and had good memories. We were offered a choice and opted for the outside balcony. It was a bit bright as the sun was setting but as the sun sank, the weather was perfect and it was an unbeatable combination to have the sun set at dinner. Food was great. I got the fresh catch and it was the best fish I had had while at Islamorada. My wife got the scallops as was very pleased. We each had a glass of wine and were happy with the options available. Dessert did not disappoint. The service was very attentive and the manager also came by twice to check on us. In all, we were very happy with with the food, ambiance, service. Highly recommend.

On a night when there were 2 hour waits everywhere, this upscale restaurant took is immediately!! Burgers totally rock, customer service was awesome, outside dining is possible! Stuffed oysters were Delish and Coconut curry was stupendous!

Maybe I am a little biased, but I have been going to Pierre's for a few years whenever I am in the keys. I recently chose to propose to my girlfriend there and I couldn't have been happier. The restaurant is very old Florida, with a large Key's style house and key lime trees out front. A friendly staff, especially Scott (who helped plan and take pictures of the actual proposal), great food, and a beautiful view of the sunset. Who could ask for anything more! Oh, and that followed by live music on the beach. Highly recommended

I've been to Pierre's several times now since my last update. I must say that the service has greatly improved. They seem to be adhering to their reservations better as well. The food is all around excellent and we especially enjoy coming here for Full Moon Parties. They have a pre fixe menu that's great. It's neighbor Morada Bay has actually gotten a lot worse and would definitely recommend Pierre's instead.

Fanciest place in town, and a great bar when it's not meal time. Sit out on the porch and watch the sunset, or wait till late night and see who all the fancy people staying at the Moorings are!

Pierre's is the perfect place for a romantic dinner. We sat upstairs on the terrace and were able to see the sunset which occurred around 8 PM. The food was great as well. We had the cheese platter to start which was great. For our main course we had the New York strip which was cooked just right and it came with delicious mash potatoes. We also order a side of creamed spinach which we did not like at all ( I'd pass on that). Lastly for dessert we had the key-lime pie which was amazing! The only reason I won't give it five stars is because when we arrived the hostess could not find our reservation and instead of just seating us (which there was plenty of tables) she sat everyone else who was behind us before seating us. Besides that our server was great.

We went to Pierres to celebrate a special occasion. Sometimes you get what you pay for. You can listen to the reviews, but it's fine dining so expect to pay a little bit more for quality. Filet was stunning and the yellowtail special with shallot pancakes was divine. The service was attentive and personal. Sit on the porch. It's lovely. We would come back.

Absolutely fabulous location on the water. Unfortunately it goes downhill from there. The place is over priced and the service was lacking.

We were puzzled by the low yelp rating for this restaurant, had a table for seven on a Thursday evening. I originally booked for Wednesday but they phoned me several weeks after taking my booking to say that they were closing on the Wednesday and that I would need to change my reservation. We turned up on time, a couple in front of us at the check-in desk manned by two staff. It became clear that the couple had no reservation and so both members of staff dedicated their time to finding them a table whilst we waited, 10 mins later they turned there attention to us and we were shown to our table. No one came to see us, we waited, no menus, no water, no drinks, no service. After 10 mins we stood up and asked a member of staff for menus, we got seven but one was dirty and we returned it, we did not get a replacement. We waited some and then asked for water, we only got 6 glasses. We waited some more and then asked for a wine list. We waited some more and asked for our dinner orders to be taken. We waited some more and our appetizers arrived but with one missing. By this point we were resigned to consistent poor service and average food. I have been generous with 3 stars

Wow. Dec 31 New Year's Eve. Thought the idea would be fabulous. Set menu and there with a huge amount of family. The servers did a great job with as many of us as there are. First course was scallop carpaccio (read cook doesn't have to cook them) that were thick and GROSS. Second was the rabbit which actually was pretty decent and then the lamb. Cold and obviously sitting for ages. Desert was icy and seriously maybe came from Costco The beach party is amazing. Since the parents sat down on the semi comfy couches, we were going to watch the fire dancers and were told by "security" that unless we paid 600$ for the privilege of using their couch we had to get up NOW. Well- we weren't ever staying till midnight since we had all the kids but 20 minutes of hanging out after a couple thousand dollars on mediocre - filthy gross food? Come on.....pierrres, I expected so much better. Obviously never again but I hope people don't ever make the same costly mistake

We save the best place for last whenever we visit the keys. It brings a warm fuzzy feeling to my heart when I think of the gorgeous view, exotic drinks, kids playing w glow sticks w a band playing w no shoes on. A few varieties: a low key area for simple BBQ/beach front casual dining and then a delicious higher end menu within a Hemingway-esque decorated villa. The wine list is extensive, local seafood prepared exquisitely and the staff is he friendliest bunch of people. We look forward to seeing them every year. A Florida key MUST.

One of the most romantic restaurant..ever.. Life music bar downstairs.. Fine dining upstairs. Outdoor balcony is the best. The only thing is you hear life music from morada bay cafe if you sit outside. This is more casual then the music playing inside the restaurant. We had the signature dish Florida Keys Hogfish Meuniere with broccoli, from specials , snapper on bokchoy and coconut rice (Asian flare) ... Blue Crab Vichyssoise ( cold soup) ...grilled Mahi with Dried Apricot and Pistachio Basmati Rice, Coconut Orange Curry Cream, Florida Orange Arugula Salad and grilled lobster. Goat cheese , cheesecake with pickled blueberries .... Wow! What an ending.

I'm surprised there are not more reviews for this! Pierre's and Morada Bay Cafe are owned by the same owners. Pierre's is their fine dining restaurant. We only took pictures of the property. It is one of the most beautiful settings in the entire Florida Keys. But coming from New York and being world traveled we were less impressed with Pierre's than with Morada Bay. It may be just that we have been around. But Morada Bay to this day remains one of the best meals I have ever had in the lower 48! Pierre's food was less impressive to us, more standard upscale food. Nothing too adventurous or unusual like Morada Bay which just had magic in every bite! But still very good. Pierre's shines with it's setting and service.

My fiance and I had the pleasure of having our intimate wedding ceremony and reception dinner at Pierre's on 5/9/13. Our wedding was small (only 38 guests), but the experience at Pierre's was monumentally incredible. Tina Kamenel, the event coordinator at Pierre's, was wonderful. From the start, she made herself available to answer our many questions and offered suggestions to help us stay within budget. The day of the event, she helped manage guests and vendors to keep us on schedule, and from start to finish, our event ran smoothly. The ambiance, food, service, and overall experience at Pierre's couldn't be more perfect. Our guests loved it so much, that some of them returned to Pierre's the next evening to have dinner, sip cocktails, and watch the sunset again. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding.

Great place to go to for a nice fancy dinner. The food and service were great. The restaurant is beautiful where you walk into a nice 2 story foyer and walk upstairs to the dining room. I had the rack of lamb which was delicious and the key lime pie (must have in the keys). We later went downstairs by the pier which was beautiful full of people taking pictures, kids playing,.. The chef is from Haiti.

Let me start this review by saying that we live just down the road. Pierre's atmosphere and view is spectacular, but that is where it ends. The food is okay, with small portions, and very overpriced. My husband had the hogfish meunière and it was good, but nothing special, and at $38, not worth the price. I had the Maine lobster. The lobster was cold, potatoes and corn undercooked, and the size of an appetizer. Our food came out in less than 10 minutes, which tells me that they pre cook and prep quite a bit of it. This would explain the cold lobster and undercooked vegetables. The tres leches dessert was horrible. It was not tres leches at all. It had dulce de leche between two layers of dry cake. The food is much better at many other restaurants in the area.

This is one of my favorite all-time restaurants. I've eaten there on three occasions. the first two (two nights in a row -- we couldn't resist) were simply incredible and have a very special place for me and my GF. The service and food quality are some of the best to be had in the state of Florida, and then add to it the fact that it's in a beautiful and romantic location make it a knock-it-out-of-the-park winner. If you plan it well, you can get there early enough to have a drink and watch the sunset from their beach, and then have a wonderful dinner inside. Take your time and enjoy the entire experience. And save room for dessert. It's worth it!

5 stars for the gorgeous surroundings and beautiful old world ambiance of the restaurant itself-- but I have to say that the fish i ordered (a local specialty of the night, (not the hogfish) was as tough as leather, flavorless, and a very small portion. This dish cost about $40, sat on some mashed potatoes, and was actually awful. I didn't have the heart to send it back since i was enjoying the evening with my beloved... but this is NOT the kind of food what a fine dining kitchen should be putting out-- at any price. Luckily, my bf's hogfish was light, delicate, and well cooked. I would not return here unless it was for the drinks in the beautiful dark and elegant bar. Do yourself a favor-- get a cocktail at the bar, and sit outside for the sunset while you sip, putting your feet in the very lovely white sand, and overook the bay. Then go find somewhere else to eat.

We recently had our wedding and reception at Pierres and it was wonderful. The food was absolutely amazing and the waitstaff was fun, professional and service was great. All of our guests loved the food, service and had a great time. The event coordinators at Pierre's were wonderful. From the start, Tina and Carey made herself available to answer our many questions. The day of the event, Carey helped manage guests and vendors to keep us on schedule, and from start to finish, our event ran smoothly. It was everything I ever wanted. The ambiance, food, service, and overall experience at Pierre's couldn't be more perfect.

In theory it could be a cool venue, however, the food is subpar (at best). The drinks are over priced. The wait staff are rude and arrogant. The GM is RUDE (apparently to go with the 'ambiance' of this venue the owner thought it was best to hire a rude Frenchman. Here's a tip, not a good idea). Unprofessional all across the board, arrogant employees, I will not visit or support this venue again.

This place was terrible!!! I ordered the fish of the day special and it was completely over-cooked and under seasoned. For $38.00 you'd expect your meal to be more then stellar. The sides were also dismal, paid $8.00 for 5 pieces of asparagus. DO NOT come to this restaurant. It may appear to be a nice fancy place for dinner but beware!! You will not enjoy it.

To the point: drinks great, food below average, price high The building and grounds were great. There was a problem getting the table we reserved despite our early reservation. The diners were stuffed together in the southwest corner despite the fact that the dining room was essentially empty. Drinks were over priced but well alcoholed, not a problem The oysters were not prepared well and tasted old. We replaced the appetizer with the tuna; which we must tell you were miniscule and very over salted. We both had the hogfish, which is usually the best fish in the keys but not when it is overly salted, cut into pieces as if it was frozen for awhile. We would have ordered dessert, but did not care for another disappoint. We were given a gift to come to this restaurant. Unfortunately, we were saddened by the experience and will never come back or recommend. We are seasonal locals and are quite disappointed

Great food and drinks, better location and atmosphere. Stunning. We had the conch chowder, a couple of tapas (coconut shrimp and thai fish sticks), and key lime pie. All were good, fish sticks were darn near life changing. Best food and atmosphere we had in the Keys.

This place sucks! What more can I say? Service was horrible. Had an 830 reservation and had to wait 20 minutes in downstairs bar, and we were the only couple waiting?!? When seated it another 20 minutes for bread and water. After waiter takes my wife's wine order, he then returned 20 minutes later and inquired, "what wine did you order?" he then returned with the wrong wine 10 minutes later. It was all down hill from there. I had the grilled Mahi Mahi, and for $35 the piece of fish was no larger than two half dollars! It was cold and too salty. My wide's filet was no better. Cooked incorrectly and tiny. We didn't bother eating as this food was nearly edible. Save your money. This place sucks!

A place to rekindle romance with breathtaking sunsets followed by a distant Everglades evening lightening show. Sensual lightening pairs perfectly with soft live music sitting on the second floor patio of this grand colonial beachfront house. The food was equally indulgent. The succulent slow cooked lamb shank was the prized dish of the night, balanced with crispy onions, sweet baby carrots and a comforting truffle-rich rice. This place is worth a journey down South.

This is my favorite restaurant in the Florida Keys, and I never miss any opportunity to go there for drinks and/dinner whenever I'm in Islamorada! If you're looking for a cheap, loud, chaotic place to get very drunk, please go elsewhere. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxed and elegant. It's perfect sunset views, outstanding food & wines, and excellent friendly staff make for a consistently great experience. The level of attention to detail, and eagerness to please, that is on display here by management, is frankly extraordinary in the Keys. Everything on the menu is expertly prepared, but I'm partial to the foie gras appetizer and hogfish meunière entree.

It's all about the beautiful view here! If you are looking for good indoor dining, then don't bother coming here. We came to Pierre's at about 6pm, ordered a couple of mojito's, the lamb ravioli and sashimi salad appetizers, sat outside in the comfy chairs on the porch (which overlook a private beach) and watched the sunset. Magnificent! The food and drinks were good, but not fantastic. Lamb ricotta raviolis and sashimi salad are things we could make at home, but was nice to enjoy while relaxing outside. We went across the street to Ma's for actual dinner.

My wife and I got married at Pierre's recently and couldn't have asked for a more picturesque ceremony. Tina handled a lot of the details preceding the wedding putting the stress of the situation from insurmountable to manageable. We had an intimate sunset ceremony that we couldn't of planned any better. To the dining experience, class without being opulent and gourmet food without being pretentious are just a few of the words I can say about this place. We had hours d'oeuvres on the back plantation porch after the wedding. The chorizo lobster egg rolls were phenomenal. The beef yakatori was a huge hit as well. The tomato mozzarella skewer was a refreshing end on the beach, but not my favorite of the three. The bisque was robust. Pierre's salad had one of the most interesting presentations I've seen, for a salad at least. The hogfish was incredibly juicy and cooked to perfection. The scallops had the exact temperature that I like with a chorizo/corn side dish that complimented the flavor beautifully, I will be getting this on return anniversary trips I'm sure. The wine menu was expansive enough to include one of the vineyards that we had visited, duckhorn, and fell in love with as well. We ended the dinner with the key lime pie which rivaled some of the best we had from key west. Overall, couldn't have thought of a better night to share food and memories with our closest friends and family.

Food is amazing! Setting is amazing.....only reason I'm not giving a 5 star review is bc our waiter was so heinously bad. You could barely understand what he was saying due to a heavy dialect (which I can deal with) but he was also just amazingly weird. He came to the table several times and just stood there waiting for us to initiate orders, etc. We were laughing bc the table next to us had a great waiter and a totally different experience than us. I mention this bc having poor wait staff at a place this great is a total shame.

Good food (scallop risotto, amazing), but pricey..........It is a very nice setting, beautiful at sunset. The food was good, but 2 of the 4 dishes were not up to par for the price we paid, however... Overall, this is a great place to eat, with great food. Maybe the chef had an off day.

We had our wedding here and it was AMAZING! The special events coordinator Tina did an excellent job! All of our guests loved the location, food and the building itself. Great place and a must visit if you are in the Keys. Well worth the money.

WOW! This place has delicious food and to call the atmosphere gorgeous would be an understatement. If you are within 30 miles of this place, try it - you won't be disappointed!

The venue is BEAUTIFUL. Makes you feel rich. The live music is awesome. We only had the key-lime pie. It was mediocre. The service really bad. Once they understood we were only in for cake they really made it clear that we had to eat it and leave. I will not come back.

The ambiance for this place is great! It's in an old 2 story house with classic beachy decor. I recommend having dinner on the second floor near the window or outside because there is a great view, especially during sunset. Our waiter was an older gentleman and he was a bit odd. When my boyfriend asked if a pasta dish that was served with shellfish could be substituted with chicken, the waiter replied "We don't keep chicken on the property. Chicken is for children." WELL THEN! Sorry he doesn't like shrimp! I ordered fish that was listed on the menu to be served with a mashed potato and I asked to substitute the potato for a vegetable instead. The waiter replied, "The cook doesn't like making substitution, but I suppose I can ask him!" Again... WELL SORRY I have a lactose allergy and most mashed potatoes are made with heavy cream, so I avoid them. If I'm paying $38 for a piece of fish, you better bring we what I'm asking for, not what the chef thinks I should eat. The waiter was pretty rude about our simple requests. This was a huge turn off for the service. The food was good, but not worth the price in my option. I could have had the same seafood dish for half the price and without the hassle of the rude service. My boyfriend ended up ordering the Filet Mignon which was cooked a lot less then he requested but was afraid to mention it to the waiter because of the attitude we had already received. Give this place a try for the beautiful location, but don't expect a lot out of the food or the service. OH- and if you are towing a boat, you cannot park in their lot. But you can call and ask the hostess and she will direct you to a lot across the street that will allow you to park anything you are towing. But be careful, they locked the gate on us and we had to come have the manager unlock the lot gate for us to retrieve our boat after dinner (on a Sunday evening).

Great beach access and views of the sunsets at night. A little pricey and definitely upscale. Not as causal as most of the Island restaurants.

The downstairs area at Pierre's is gorgeous. Food was overall excellent though desserts are overpriced ($11 for key lime pie?). Also was hoping for fresher pie (the meringue on top was still frozen when served). Service was poor; our waiter was very nice but seemed to forget a number of our requests to the point where we had to keep asking for things we already ordered.

Love this place and have been here several times. One of the best restaurants! This time I would say we did not have the best waiter. He was hard to understand, and did not explain the specials in detail as the other waiters we overheard did. I would say that our waiter probably should not be that , as his english was very hard to understand, he had a very thick accent. The food was outstanding!

I decided to take my husband to the Keys for his 30th birthday. This restaurant came recommended by the place we were staying, and based on the many Yelp reviews, I decided to give it a shot for his special birthday dinner. Despite being unable to snag a balcony table, we had an amazing time. The food was top notch and the service was very good. Definitely pricy, but you get what you pay for.

For several years now, my wife and I have dined at Pierre's restaurant. For the most part, it was usually a very nice experience and wonderful food. On the night of 10/12/13, however, it was an awful experience to say the least! Firstly, our outside table was located at one end of the balcony where there was little lighting, 2 of the ceiling lights were not working so it became quite dark. Mind you, the restaurant had just re-opened from being closed for several weeks for "maintenance & repairs". We told the waiter and he said there was nothing that could be done. We had to ask him to bring us a lit candle. Secondly, our food was taking for ever, the waiter kept saying, "five more minutes for the food". After I told him I wasn't waiting any longer and asked for the check, the food appeared all of a sudden after an hour and a half of waiting. Thirdly, when I asked to speak to the restaurant manager to complain, he didn't even have the courtesy to come to our table. Needless to say, we are never going back. The food was great, but with the prices they charge, they ought to be able to provide much better service.

I came to Pierre's not by chance, we were on a dedicated mission to check it out because my sister is getting married here in December. Overall, great experience and the location really cannot be beat. I think that for small weddings, it will be a great spot (its on the beach, a nice lounge area downstairs with plush seatings, and main dining room upstairs). The decor is a little ecletic, not beach, more moroccan/indian maybe? Very romatic. And the food was really top-notch, was surprised of the quality, definitely could have been in any NYC restaurant. They did a great job showcasing the local cuisine as well. The black and pepper scallops appetizer were my absolute favorite, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Lobster was great, sauces are a bit overpowering. All in all everyone was very pleased with their meals. But I was very suprised at how expensive the meal was. I understand, its the keys, so you have a mark-up there and its fine-dining, another mark-up, I get it. But still, the prices shocked me and at those levels, even though the food was outstanding, you are getting into a realm of other restaurants who have similar prices but the food is out of this world. For a special occassion, my guess is its the only place remotely nearby with that level of quality so they get away with it. The other thing was the service. Don't get me wrong, the service wasn't bad and it was generally pleasant but two things stood out to me. First was the timing was off. And secondly I think they got confused that good service doesn't mean being overly attentive and hovering. You have to anticipate needs and get a feel for the crowd, any high-end restaurant server can tell you this. Some people are more needy than others, we are definitely the latter yet they kept coming over again and again to specifically ask each of us (6 people) if the dish was cooked to our liking. So after hearing that 12 times it grew tired and insincere. Just a rambling thought but had to get it out. On a whole, its a great spot and look forward to coming back later in the year.

Overlooking the gulf of Mexico, Pierre's offers spectacular sunsets and a fine dining experience. The menu is relatively brief but well planned, the wine list thoughtfully compiled, and the service friendly and prompt. The restaurant is French inspired but the dishes are rather cosmopolitan and most of them celebrate seafood.

Recently reopened. The service was quick but impersonal. The rack of lamb and cedar plank grilled salmon were amazing. Right across the street from Chef Michael's. If your looking for better food and views head to Pierre's, but the service at Chef Michael's was much better

Impeccably plated, top notch cuisine. Wine selection dwarfs the competition. Dessert was stellar. Service needs improvement though.

Great food and drinks, better location and atmosphere. Stunning. We had the conch chowder, a couple of tapas (coconut shrimp and thai fish sticks), and key lime pie. All were good, fish sticks were darn near life changing. Best food and atmosphere we had in the Keys.

Stay away!
