Very friendly service. Great atmosphere. The food was fast, fresh, delicious, and great portions. Try the Chimichanga!

The five best things about Cantina Dos Amigos: 1. The prices - food and drink were a bargain. 2. The crew - Stacy the bartender was my waitress. She did a great job. The wait staff were in good spirits. 3. The attitude - I asked for an off menu item. I could tell by the response that the policy is to give the customer whatever they want. 4. The drinks - Dos Equis draft was cold, served in clean glasses and the draft system was well maintained. I also had a glass of Blackstone Merlot that was recent vintage and a reasonable portion. 5. The locals - This is not the tourist crowd. Definitely a locals hangout. Three areas for improvement: 1. The salsa - tasted like room temp Campbells tomato soup. One of the worst I have ever had. 2. The portions - I had a quesadilla. They used less cheese than I have ever seen on a quesadilla. Some parts of the tortilla had paint brush coverage. 3. The guacamole - If it is freshly made, the guac was overprocessed. Churned to paste. No detectable tomato or onion, just avocado.

I have eaten here a number of times and remark that (to my knowledge anyway) the shady business practices previously mentioned did not happen to me. As always, that is not to say on occasion wait staff are hired who engage in such activity. It happens and as long as the individual is promptly fired it really does not affect me too much in the long run. But hey, what about the food amigo? I tend to avoid the various platters and combination meals in any Mexican restaurant as they can be way too filling. At Dos Amigos I have experienced pretty good luck w/ menu items such as shrimp tacos or cheese enchiladas. I do wish that the tortillas were made onsite but I guess that is much to ask in the Indialantic restaurant scene as it were. I have yet to try a burrito so offer no comment on fillings or the red and/or green chili. I love chile rellenos ... sadly, here they missed the mark as the rellenos seemed (no proof other than the taste and texture, that is the lack of) to have been of the reheated frozen variety ... ew, just thinking of it is unpleasant ... one might find in the ubiqitous national franchises. Returning to the positive ... the wait staff are friendly and efficient. The beers are reasonably priced with a good selection. The ambience is relaxing.

From the moment you cross the threshold, you are made to feel at home. The atmosphere is casual and carefree. And the food is pretty good, too. Their drunken burritos are to die for! They have a full bar for the adults and crayons for the kiddies. But what I go back again and again for is THE SERVICE. The waitresses are friendly, know their menus, and are always ready to accommodate you in any way they can. The bartenders are quick, sharp, and your glass won't stay empty unless you want it to. Even when I lived over by Orlando, I drove the hour and a half to come to Indialantic's Cantina Dos Amigos for their Drunken Burritos! And that's no joke.

At three stars, we took the risk and tried it anyways. Definitely a solid 4 stars +. The street tacos were delicious and a pretty dang good deal at 3 for 10 bucks. The enchiladas were great, really good flavors. And the food came out very fast. We highly recommend this place!

Food was pretty good (enchiladas) perhaps a bit too cheesy for my liking but the drink specials are to die for. I'll be back for sure

The nachos are very good. Their salsa and chips are worth the trip alone. Great atmosphere. We have been visiting this place for three years now and will continue to come back.

Typical of Mexican restaurants around central Florida. The menu was limited to Tex/Mex plus some American mixed. Service was good and the full bar did a good job on most of our drinks. A request for a Perfect Manhattan was rejected; no Dry Vermouth. Chips were good and warm and salsa was ok. Main courses at our table of 6 were judged bland by everyone. The table hot sauces helped a lot. It was a Saturday night and the place was packed with a line of folks waiting to be seated.

Today my boyfriend and I had a late lunch (2pm) at Cantina dos Amigos. We went originally for the "El Cheapo" menu (from 11-3 Monday-Saturday they have both the normal menu and a more basic value menu with $2-$4 items) but ended up tempted by the regular menu. The complimentary chips and salsa were better than average. The chips were still warm from the fryer and the salsa was pleasingly spicy. We ordered the Armadillo Eggs appetizer ($3.95) and it was quite good. The Armadillo Eggs were milder Jalapeno peppers stuffed with cream cheese or regular cheese and then breaded and deep fried. They were piping hot and tasted good with the salsa dip. For our entree we split the Relleno de Pollo ($9.95) We did ask our server if we could switch to shredded beef instead of chicken and she graciously obliged. The portion size was hearty. We actually took some home despite the sharing. It was fresh and hot, just like the appetizer. We ordered it spicy and it appeared that they used freshly diced jalepeno peppers. This is always nice with so many places relying on the pickled variety. Our entree included two tasty cinnamony churros for dessert. That was a nice touch. Our efficient server was really pleasant and had a friendly laid back personality. The interior of the reataurant seemed clean and was very bright and cheerful . The atmosphere was upbeat, casual, and fun. I will definately be back.

First of all we were recommended this place by our hotel.... I am now convinced that they must get some kind of kickback from their recommendations. Now the location and ambiance is what you want from a cantina. Service was great!!!! Folks were nice. Ok now for the food. Save your money!!!!! Margaritas were decent but our food was awful! I think they thought covering everything in cheese would conceal the lackluster flavor. Rice was some weird texture with black pepper & cheese. Only thing edible were the black beans & the chips n salsa. I'd only return for the drinks & friendly people.

I'm not a fan of this place. The place is cute, but it all goes downhill from there. Service was slow, but it is a Cantina, so I was willing to go with the flow on that, however my margarita came out and it was just foul! Don't mess with a girl and her margarita! Blasphemy.... Next our food came out and it just looked pathetic. As if it had been sitting in a 500 degree oven for far too long. Then when we bit in, it was ground beef instead of chicken. By the time our server came to check on us...we were over it. Never said a word, however I'll never return. At least if the margaritas were good, you could choke back the wrong, dried up food, but not even the "cantina" part was on par. Skip it!!

Came for a late lunch around 2:30. Our server was kind but incredibly slow and the restaurant was not busy at all. The service here is slow and honestly frustrating. We had just about every employee helping us but not our server, not often anyway. I asked for cilantro on my street tacos and when the bill came there was and additional cost that was never mentioned. I've never in my life had to pay extra for cilantro at a Mexican restaurant. I can't say I will come back. The food was flavorless and the service was just sad.

I called on the way home and asked the price of a to-go order of a burrito with just meat, cheese and rice would cost. The lady said around $8. When I picked up the burrito 10 minutes later, the price was $12. I asked why it was 50% more than she told me over the phone and she gave some lame excuse about adding for the price of meat. I should of just walked away, but I had promised my son to pick up dinner on the way home. Classic bait and switch. Buyer beware!

  • Chris D.

Food was nothing to brag about, but drink specials make up for it. Went here on a Thur. And found it very busy. The margarita specials start at $1.99 and the bar service is quick. Unfortunately, I found the food should have been priced priced the same as the drink specials My wife ordered a baked chimichanga and i ordered a chicken dish wrapped in a flour tortilla. Her chimi was basically a flavorless burrito and my dish looked like it was just sautéed and thrown in the tortilla. Drinks and chips with friends , definitely, but pass on the food.

I have eaten here twice and have never been happy with the quality of service or the food. I must not be the only one who feels this way since the bar is packed with people but the restaurant itself on a Friday night is empty. I will admit that they can make pretty good cocktails but thats about it but again it takes forever to get a drink here. One out of Five stars for poor food quality, poor service, slow kitchen, slow bar.

I have to give this place five stars. Amazing food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. We had the fajitas today and they didn't disappoint. The amount of food for the price is unbeatable, especially if you get one of their daily specials! Also, there is a nice deck for outdoor seating. Perfect spot to unwind for lunch or dinner.

Love their El Cheapo menu!!! Where can you buy a huge lunch for under $5? I usually order the taco or burrito lunch. It's delicious! I love the flavor of the meat, and I also love how much toppings they add to my main dish. I think they have some of the best salsa in the area too. I am a chips and dip girl so I can easily make a meal out of their salsa. The restaurant is decorated in a fun way and always clean and stocked. My service has always been quick even with a busy lunch rush. I highly recommend this place for lunch if you are in the beach side area and need a quick lunch.

Went to Cantina Dos Amigos for an early New Years Eve dinner. They offered 99 cent Margaritas so that got us started. For 99 cents I expected them to be watered down, but thats not what we found. These were good, traditional, margaritas, but with a little too much salt on the rim. The service was decent, but not excellent. The food was passable for Mexican. I had combo fajitas (chicken and beef). Some of the beef was a little tough, but the chicken was fine. The meat and vegetables were all cooked together with a red sauce. They were enjoyable, but I would prefer it better if they didn't feel compelled to throw the red sauce in. The salsa was good, a red salsa with tomato and onion chunks. We also opted for the white chili con queso and enjoyed it, especially with a few scoops of salsa tossed in. Overall we enjoyed the Cantina Dos Amigos experience, but there are better Mexican restaurants out there.

We went on a colleagues suggestion. There really aren't any good Mexican restaurants in the area so we chose to give this place a try. I ordered a strawberry margarita. It was super sweet and super strong. It was weird. I waited for the ice to melt and dilute it before drinking it. The fresh chips along with salsa were very much welcome, though the salsa can be better. We ordered tacos, flautas and quesadilla. The chicken in the flautas and quesadilla was tasteless and shredded but overall the flautas were very nice with a nice crispy exterior and melted cheese inside. About the tacos - who melts cheese on top of tacos? The whole joy of a taco is to be able to enjoy the whole bunch of Mexican cheese which tastes best cold. my friend and I thought that was very weird. We also ordered the spicy guacamole dip with our chips, and that was disappointing. The fajita bowl it came in had a bunch of lettuce in the bottom, almost as if they were trying to dupe us by concealing the lettuce in the bottom. We had to fix the guacamole with some lime and hot sauce. The great thing is that they have a nice selection of in-home hot sauces on your table that you can use to spice up your food. Overall, I would come back here for the flautas or maybe some fried idc cream.

Not good. I had a combo platter. The enchilada was very small and over-cooked. The chile rellenos was so thickly breaded it was hard to find the chile. Rice was dry. I ordered a margarita up instead of frozen and it was so tiny it was laughable. Except I wasn't laughing. Only good news: the chalupa was hot and tasty. Would not go there again.

This is the perfect place to go after a day at the beach. I love to go on Sundays when they have the half-price drinks and food menu, but generally speaking, dining here is very affordable. The warm tortilla chips and salsa are a nice start. They are brought to your table as soon as you sit down. The drinks are made strong and they arrive quickly! The avocado salad is made fresh and can certainly serve two people. I've had the fish tacos diablo, quesadillas, and their sizzling platters with either chicken or steak. All on separate occasions of course. If you're like me and prefer to have a little bit more kick in your Mexican food, be sure to ask for their picante sauce to spice up your food a bit more. Their default recipes are made to cater to all audiences including the elderly, kids, and people with a softer palette. You can also ask your waitress to have your dish prepared with more kick. Overall, the food here is good, made fresh, and most importantly - made to order. The servings are generous but don't worry, they'll give you a box to take home any leftovers. They'll throw in some chips with salsa if you'd like too. If you can't eat the complimentary churros, take those home too. Enjoy!

I'm perplexed at how bad the food is at this place. Mexican food. The easiest genre of food to cook and produce. I've had better Mexican food in gas stations and in frozen dinners. Every single item I've had at this place is as bland as cardboard. I guess they've never heard of seasonings. Their only special cooking "technique" is to smother everything in melted cheese. So healthy. Even the salsa served with the chips was mediocre. My 6 year old niece makes better salsa. The staff was super cool and nice though, so the service is a win, and the location is awesome. It's just a shame the food is so mind bogglingly terrible. I like to think the owner is deliberately trying to make the food as bad as possible as some kind of weird business experiment.

  • Lance H.

Good place for lunch, their El cheapo menu from 12 to 4 is a good deal. 2 tacos for 3.25 with any kind or meat you want. They make very good cocktails too. The food is nothing to nessisarily write home about. But, it's good enough to leave you happy and the price makes it all the better. Service was good, fast and friendly worth tipping. The new ownership also helps seems they buy better meat and such. End of the day it's an average restaurant with above average drinks.

It's beyond shame that this restaurant is so bad. I really wish we could have a delicious Mexican restaurant in Indialantic. I had fish tacos that were okay, and my husband had hard tacos that looked like they filled the shells and blanketed a sheet of cheese over the middle, then stuck it in the microwave until the cheese somehow hardened again. Not sure how that's possible. Anyway, the chips aren't warm when they come and the salsa is worse than a jar you buy from Publix. You're better off making a taco kit from the grocery store than stopping at this joint.

Went there last night. Looking for simple, tasty, reliable food. We had group of 8 and the staff was very accomodating. Good Salsa, good chips, everyone happy with their choices. Waitress brought out some churros at the end for the kids. All in all a great choice for a group.

I've eaten here twice since I was working nearby. My first experience was terrible but I'm a believer of second chances. I'm also a believer of good customer service and this place definitely lacks. My waitress seemed to be in a terrible mood the whole entire time and it was very uncomfortable. She would only come to my table when I would yell out for her. Never asked to refill drinks or ask if we needed anything. On to the food, they offer mediocre Americanized version of Mexican food. You might a well eat at Chipotle or Tijuana Flats. Starting with the chips and salsa you definitely know everything is store-bought, nothing tasted fresh. The guacamole was browning and it tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for days. I was in a party of three and we all ordered different dishes. They were all lackluster in flavor and authenticity. This is not Mexican food. I wouldn't even call it food period. They literally have refried beans, meaning they tasted like they'd been fried over and over and over again. I would never recommend this place. Something has got to change. Both times I visited would instantly leave me with the feeling of regret. Please find somewhere else to eat. Like many other reviewers have said, this is a place for drinks, in which case they should change it to a bar.

Great local Mexican place- we were here on a Monday night- el cheapo menu! 3 bucks for a good size burrito and 99 cent buds! Whole family of five ate for less than 25 bucks. Great service and ambience

Only been here twice as we live over in Saint Cloud. Anyway, after a long day at the beach this place hits the spot! I like the chicken chimichanga and I have posted a photo of it here on yelp. The service is good and the atmosphere is nice. It is kind of a hole in the wall, but I prefer those over mass produced food at chain restaurants. You NEED to check this place out! =]

Unauthentic mexican food. Service was ok. Salsa tasted like warm ketchup, i ordered a steak salad w avocado and it was awful. There was a group of about 10 of us and all of our food from enchiladas to rice and shrimp were bland. This restaurant definitely does not use quality or fresh ingredients and you can taste it. This place is a tourist trap. Save your money and find an alternate choice on Yelp.

Come here often. Get the tostado with chicken or the fish tacos. Also another good thing i ask for is club soda, and they top it off with the frozen margarita mix...super refreshing. Anything with ground beef is eh... One thing I did not like, watching the bartender make margaritas, over and over again (since that's what they're so known for) she was putting equal parts of tequila and triple sec, which is not correct at all. I was a little shocked a bartender at a Mexican restaurant wouldn't know the correct measurements of a margarita.

Great local family owned restaurant. Prices are very reasonable, food is fresh & tasty. They have some great deals & awesome margaritas! Lots of good vegetarian options. Great people own this place & the service is fantastic! :)

Food is just okay. Everything is very reasonably priced, and I was happy to find a skinny margarita on the menu. I think after living in San Diego, it's going to be hard to find good Mexican food...The service was perfect.

I use yelp all the time, and if the review of a place is TOO positive or TOO negative, I tend to discount it and look somewhere in the middle. That said, please feel free to discount this review. Unless you like food. In which case, you really really need to read this and choose another restaurant. First, the positive: great drink specials. We had the Cantina Ritas for $3 and they were offering $1 drafts and other specials. If you just want cheap drinks, then great. This is your place. Our server was also very friendly and chatty. I liked her immensely. Now, the negative: everything else. The salsa DEFINITELY comes from a can. It's kind of thick, not in a puréed way, but more like a sludgey not-fresh-tomato-but-rather-tomato-product kind of way. We had the fish tacos and combo fajitas. Both were so so terrible. Over-cooked meat, no seasoning. Everything tasted re-heated. I think the fish tacos had tarter sauce on them, which was not expected. The guacamole was turning brown, and had no lime at all, which is kind of silly since guac + lime= tasty AND no gross browning. After drinking our margaritas, we got our food to go, and when we got home we really couldn't eat any of it. We ordered pizza instead. Thirty bucks, wasted. So, if you just want to get your drink on with your friends, by all means go forth and imbibe. But if you're hungry, please go somewhere else.

Great food, great prices. However, parents allow their kids to act as if it's a free-for-all and really screws up the atmosphere. Nothing wrong with the restaurant, the help is great. But when we're there they seem to attract parents that just want to drink and leave their kids to run around.

Finally made it back here, this time on a Sunday. I was sad to find that the El Cheapo menu is not available on Sunday, which is really the only reason that I gave it three stars the first time. I had two margaritas (on 'special' for $4) and barely a buzz. Even with 2 for $8 I want a buzz!! Americanized-Mexican-style food, there has got to be better!

    (2)
  • Chris K.

The short review: Pros: very friendly, efficient service. The "el cheapo" lunch menu will fill you up for $5. Unlimited chips and salsa. Cons: the food is good, but its not the most authentic tex-mex you can get. It's very Americanized (but still good). The atmosphere is casual, and family-friendly. Good place for a margarita lunch... or margarita dinner... or late-night margarita and snack.

Visited twice during our stay in the area. First visit was remarkable - 1/2 price margaritas and the food very tasty. Our server was fantastic, and when she overheard it was my sweetie's birthday, she got her manager to comp the meal (unexpected treat!). This visit earned a 5-star rating. Came back for a second visit, and everything seemed slightly off from our first visit. Don't know how much was amplified expectations from the first visit. This time, the margaritas seemed more watered down/less potent, and the food not as well prepared. For instance, on our first visit the cheese was baked to a lovely slightly golden crisp. On our second visit, it was just melted. This visit, we'd give it a 3 star. So I'm splitting the difference and giving it a 4.

  • Jillian S.

Horrible food, horrible service. I ordered my usual chimichanga... the server, who didn't introduce herself to us, suggested getting the chicken chimichanga deep-fried. If that is an euphemism for dry and tasteless food on a plate, then I now have a 3/4 dish in my fridge waiting for some homemade queso to pour over it tomorrow for lunch. The server was nice enough to leave a pitcher of unsweet tea for the table without being asked, but I got tired of my chair being pushed by the steady flow of people coming out of the kitchen. I'm glad it wasn't my money spent on eating out.

Just ate here for the first time on July 4th and it was busy as expected. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, and everything else was fine. My table had the carne asada salad and the avocado salad with chicken as well as quesadillas and tacos and everything was great. The chips and salsa were average to good. My wife thought the salsa was excellent as she could tell it was fresh, but it was average to me. The only bad thing is if you order water expect to get that lovely chlorinated city water taste. Otherwise great restaurant that I would return to if craving Mexican. Also a bit of advice for anyone going there for the first time if you go in the back door (opposite side from the main road) you need to walk to the opposite side of the restaurant to check in. Hope this helped!

I've given this place a few tries hoping that the previous was just a fluke, but the truth is, it's just nowhere near what I would expect from an "authentic Mexican" restaurant. The dip trio with chips seems store-bought and although the service is friendly and the atmosphere is nice, the food never left me saying "THAT was good" but rather, "I wish they would have done this" or "that's not what I was hoping for". I'm sure others have good food here but my "Mexican food bar" is set high, and sadly this place doesn't make the cut for me.

I've been going to Dos Amigos for the past 20 years. It used to be sooo good. The food was good, the portions were good, the service was good. Now, the food is decent but not great, the portions are smaller, and the service is just ok. It's a shame when a good restaurant gives up their quality to save some money. I know alot of people who feel the same way. I really hope they improve their quality so that the customers who they attracted years ago can start coming back.

IMO one of the better "mexican" restaurants in Brevard and worth the 1/2 drive, especially on Sunday for 2-4-1 margaritas. Pretty tasty, even if they come from a mix. Chips have always been warm and fresh, DO request the spicy salsa ... our servers have always brought it with a smile. Always eaten inside and generally the service is good. I usually get something with spinach and am always happy.

My boss took me out here for a birthday lunch. The chips were nice and light, the salsa was mild and the guac was creamy delicious. I only ordered a lone enchilada, but was pleasantly suprised when it arrived. It had a much better flavor that I was anticipating. I honesly hate trying new Mexican places, because I am so often disappointed. I love the fact that they offer the El Cheapo menu....that enchilada (which was a good size, just the right amount to fill me up) was only $3! How can you go wrong? I'm not stark raving mad about this place, but you'll definitely see my face in there again!

The atmosphere is casual and carefree. We always eat outside, and the food is very good/great. But what I go back again and again for is THE SERVICE. The waitresses are friendly, know their menus, and are always ready to accommodate you in any way they can. They are always fast to service you and the meal is at your table in no time. We have talked to other customers that drive from Orlando just to eat here.

The prices were great but the food was terrible. I got a taco salad on the El Cheapo menu with shredded beef. The taco shell and shredded beef was actually okay but everything in between was awful. The salsa tasted like ketchup with onions and peppers, the salad had mushrooms with no salsa or dressing and the guacamole tasted funny. My sister had the taquito which was the size of a mini chimichanga so that was a great deal. The rice and beans in the sides were awful, bland and without flavor. The server was nice but that was about it. Oh, our seats had a huge rip on both sides. Decor could use an update.

A good value compared to a lot of Mexican restaurants, especially if you hit it on a day they have a food and/or drink special to your liking. Fun, inviting atmosphere, but very loud inside. Outdoor seating is limited and first come, first serve - but much quieter and more relaxing. Food quality seems to vary somewhat, but is usually pretty good. Large portions and they give you warm, fresh complimentary churros for dessert. Drinks are served and replenished promptly - always a plus in my book.

Don't waste your time or money. Service is not friendly. The food is dry and tasteless. We ordered two different burritos and when they came out we couldn't tell which was which. They both came out like melted cheese slop on a plate. Big island burrito is the way to go for great burritos!

Disclaimer: I'm a snot about Mexi food. Strike One: Tostitos & Pace picante sauce. Strike Two: The rice was Rice a Roni. Strike Three: No carne asada. They did have an interesting menu that seemed potentially good. But I had my heart set on yummy carne asada *tear* I settled for a chicken taco & side of rice. It was ehhhhhh. My love was just as non-plussed about his meal. Was it horrifying atrocious? No. Was it a wonderful meal satiating my taste buds desire for Mexi food? No. I WANT MEXI FOOD!!!

I went to Dos Amigos yesterday, after passing it numerous times and saying to myself "I need to try this place." What made yesterday the day you ask? Well, I think it had to do with the sign out front proclaiming "99 cent longnecks" in addition to the "El Cheapo Menu from 11-3". That did it, I was sold. So after busting a screeching tired "U'ey" in the middle of A1A (New York style) I parked and went in. It was a cool (by FL standards) and breezy day, but I still opted for the screened-in outdoor seating. When the waitress asked me what i wanted to drink, I incurred about the longnecks (only Bud and Bud Lite unfortunately). My properly priced bud lite arrived along-side a basket of fresh and hot, paper thin tortillas, which were delish. As well as a container of thick salsa (tasty, but not spicy). I was feeling rather famished so I went hard and ordered (completely off of the el cheapo menu) the two tacos (ground beef, soft) for $3, the 3$ enchilada (chicken, softer) and a side of the rice ($1, softer yet). I barely had time to check out there exclusive hot sauce collection (consisting of two) before my steaming hot dishes arrived. The two soft tacos were hearty and on a flour tortilla which had been briefly baked as to arrive toasty, with melted cheese. They were pretty good once i doctored them up with the hot sauce and salsa. The enchilada was your average size enchi, and tasted rather average after the same doctoring. The rice however, was disappointing. It shows up looking all sexy with tomatoes and covered in freshly baked on cheese, only to taste like overcooked soggy rice a roni. All-in-all I think it was a satisfying experience, especially for the under $10 dollar bill for a rather large lunch, including a beer. The service was very good, and atmosphere inviting. I'd prob go back again.

The best thing about this place is the hotter salsa (available on request). I would go back for chips and salsa....that's about it

I used to work here. And they have shady business practices. For example, they charge more for dinner than is on the menu by $3 and only change it if you ask. Also, if you order the millionaire's margarita with patron anejo (if you don't know this is a KILLER tequila) the bartenders have been instructed to use patron silver (bottom rung of patron line). This is a $10 margarita by the way and if you wanted patron silver you could have paid a lot less. Aside from that, the lunch buffet is very good and a good value. The food is excellent and the guacamole especially is always made fresh and above average. The main thing it has going on is ambience, which consists of fun music, a fun crowd, happy fun employees, and crazy art and decorations all over the place. They also have a fun Mardi Gras party. I used to frequent this place for the food and the huge selection of tequilas.

The first thing to know is that Cantina Dos Amigos is not really Mexican, but Tex-Mex. Lower end to middle of the road Tex-Mex, but among the better in the area. It's inexpensive, casual, and comfortable. The food and service quality does tend to vary quite a bit from time to time, however we usually enjoy a dinner there. My wife ALWAYS asks for extra cheese on the quesodilla when she orders it. We've had several different burritos, enchiladas, the nachos, taco salad, and enjoyed them. I generally add some salsa to whatever I'm eating. Sometimes they'll bring out a spicier salsa if you ask.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
