Great food. We have had pancakes (blueberry) great. Nice omelettes.Nice and clean restaurant. They always greet you. They have a patio dining so you can bring the dogs if you would like, nicely shaded area. Good fresh food.they also have a bakery items in a case up front.

Thought we would try some place different, turns out we should have kept driving. Yes, like others, there was a wait, but not a long difficult wait. The service was spotty, very spotty. We had to ask several times for coffee refills, the original waiter never came back to check on us, just took the order and disappeared. I had pancakes, homefries and two eggs over easy. There was no seasoning whatsoever on the eggs, they were tasteless. The potato's were cold, the pancakes were ok, however they had been cooked so long that the edges were crunchy. My wife had a ham and cheese omelet and declared it edible. "not bad" was her direct comment. We had high hopes for this place, unfortunately they were dashed on the rocks of hope. Sorry Johnny, we had visions of making this a regular place, now we will regularly bypass

Not impressed.... Thought we would try the new local place and it was a mistake. The homemade corn beef hash tastes like it came from a can... We noticed a dead fly in the desert case... When we pointed it out they did throw away the tray of baklava. good was just OK... But for a family of 4 and a $40 breakfast I expected more. OJ tastes like from concentrate, can't be a successful breakfast spot in the middle of orange groves selling OJ out of a machine like you would find in a low end hotel. Echo the other comments about needing a bug zapper... Do yourself a favor and head to KeKe's in Clermont of Waffle House for that matter.

We've been there a few times - great food and decent price but often very busy. Unfortunately once when we went there they ignored us for 20 minutes until I grabbed the owner/manager and asked him why we weren't being served. He apologized and eventually someone came and got our orders. Another time we were there the local firefighters were there, and just as they brought out their food they got a call. They told the guys don't worry we'll take care of you when get back. That was nice to see.

This place was surprisingly GOOD. Really good. It's small inside but plenty of parking. It hasn't been opened for long. Their grand opening is on May 9th. It's a breakfast/brunch type of restaurant. The service was quick and our waitress was very friendly. Also, if you fill out a little form that they have with your birthday info, you'll get a FREE dessert on your birthday!

What a surprise! The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly and attentive. So glad the place opened up a short distance from my home and will definitely give Cracker Barrel a run for their money. I plan on attending the Friday fish fry soon and look forward to trying some grits. If you are in the mood for brunch, look no further than Flapjack Johnny's.

Two words: baklava pancakes. Where else can you put those same two words in the same order? Pancakes were delicious. Bacon was done just right. Service was a little slow. But I will definitely be back.

We decided to try out Flapjack Johnny's for the first time this past Saturday. Maybe we just came at an off time, but we weren't particularly impressed. There seemed to be a general sense of disorganization. When we arrived, we were just greeted with "Name?" and nothing else as we awkwardly hovered around the entrance. Usually, restaurants will tell you that "There's a 15 minute wait... we'll call your name" or something to that effect. Were they just being friendly by taking our name? Was there a wait? Where were we to stand? We were finally seated and our booth just felt... dirty. There was a dark brown stain on one of the booth cushions and our bowl of coffee creamers consisted of two of them, one of them used. We did have to wait a little while for coffee refills when empty. Our server would disappear for extended periods of time, only to be seen waiting tables outside. We gave up waiting for spoons to stir our coffees and used our knives. I would say the biggest complaint I had was actually the coffee. It literally was the wost restaurant coffee I've ever had. It had a "convenience store at midnight" kind of taste, complete with grounds at the bottom of the mug. We thought that the initial cups were maybe the end of the pot, but the subsequent refills were just as horrible. Now, the good... the pancakes were indeed excellent and the portions were huge! We each took half our large stacks home and were able to make 2 full breakfasts out of them. I had the baklava pancakes and they were very unique and tasty. Since we live in the very southern part of Lake County, the drive was around 20 miles and if we were to drive that far again, we would much rather prefer our old standby, Keke's, unfortunately.

Just what this area needs. Skip the Barrel, you'll wait less time and have a much better meal at a very reasonable price. It's a small place, but we only waited about 15mins. The staff is friendly, attentive, and well trained. The food is bullet-proof, yummy pancakes, great home-fries, and the frittata was off the hook. My son had the buffalo chicken wrap with fries which he said was terrific. Overall this restaurant is a keeper, please support this local owned spot. It's a chain-killer, even if it's off the beaten path a little. It's worth the drive to sleepy Groveland!

We have given this place four chances, but we've decided we are done now. We love the music they play, and the service is usually quite good, so we had hoped to make it a regular stop since we live right in town. The food just isn't cutting it, though. Yesterday I ordered a breakfast that came with a Belgian waffle. When it came out, it was just a dry waffle with a few sliced strawberries on it. I have never had such a bland waffle. Everywhere I've eaten them before had the fruit in some kind of liquid that could soak in and flavor the waffle and some whipped cream on it. I asked Danielle, our waitress about it, and she said that it's always served that way. No syrup, no butter, just dry and inedible. My husband's pancakes were dense rather than fluffy like normal pancakes. He had tried the pancakes once before, but the waitress had told him each batter was different, so he thought maybe he'd find pancakes he liked. These tasted like the others, and he told the waitress to just take them away. We got no kind of discount on the food we couldn't eat either. We'll be sticking with our tried and true Cracker Barrel from now on.

This is probably the best breakfast in lake county. I had the banana fosters waffle with 2 eggs over medium, turkey sausage, and home fries. My wife had a short stack of pancakes with bacon. Her pancakes were delicious and nutty with the perfect amount of fluffyness. They must use buckwheat flour in their pancake mix. Her bacon was crisp and cooked perfectly. My waffle was fresh and crisp and the banana fosters is a genius topping for a waffle. The home fries were cooked fresh and weren't over or under seasoned like most places. Their turkey sausage is probably the best you'll ever have anywhere. You'd never guess it was turkey. The staff was friendly and attentive. Management/owner was present and you could tell that he love working there. Ticket times were great and we got our food fast. I hope they'll be around for a long time. My new favorite breakfast joint.

We went here today around 9:30am. Small but only 15 min wait. Outside seating too. Menu was awesome and lots of things I wanted to try at a decent price. During our wait we were offered coffee (definitely good business practice). Our food was delicious. It did take a little while and we had to wait on two items, but we were a party of 6 and that can happen anywhere.

Everything is great. Hungry man is reasonable. Love the chicken Caesar wrap. Wish we had some good battered fresh onion rings and a western burger on the menu Would prefer cannoli were filled upon ordering to avoid soggy shells.

This was our 2nd time here and we split the Hungry Man breakfast with a side of corned beef hash. The food was very good and the servers were very attentive. The food is fresh, made from scratch, and oh so good!

My husband and I went for our first visit on the last Saturday of March. The food was awesome but we had horrible service. I had the bananas foster waffle and highly recommend it. After mentioning our lack of service during our first visit, we were invited back as guest of the management. Food was awesome, again. Service was outstanding. I know they were going out of their way for us and I really appreciated that. Not like we are celebrities with a huge following of fans. Second visit I had the johnny cakes, which is strawberry/blueberry pancakes stuffed with cream cheese, topped with whipped cream. Please visit this place, you will not be disappointed. Food is fresh, delicious and the choices on the menu sound like they are from a 5 star restaurant. They taste that way as well, without paying the higher price.

Excellent Food! Great Service! We went in a Sunday Morning. It was crowded with a bit of a wait, but well worth it! I had the Gyro and Feta Omelet, my had the Eggs Benedict , and the kids had a variety of different pancakes. Everyone Dominated the Breakfast!

We were glad to see a fresh alternative to existing local breakfast fare open nearby. Visited on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent. Let's hope they maintain the cheery welcoming attitude we were treated to. A nicely complimented menu for both breakfast and lunch with prices just about right. Soft drinks are a bit high though... $ 2.35 for those. Thankfully, I rarely order sodas anymore. We had breakfast on this first visit and everything was delicious including the coffee. I like brittle bacon and it was perfect unlike many places that can't seem to get it right. We are looking forward to return to give lunch a go later on in the week. Keep up the good work Johnny! Thumbs up!

We drove 30 miles to this restaurant, and it was so worth it! The food is fresh and delicious. The pecan pancakes are the best I've had. Homemade biscuits are outstanding. The service is friendly and efficient. Even with all of the tables full, it was not noisy. A really enjoyable breakfast experience!
