Weak. This is a blatant Hooters knock-off. Yeah, they do the bar ok, but that's not rocket science. Service was almost non-existent. The obviously pissed-off cook in the "open kitchen" window was eating & cussing more than he was cooking. If you want sub-standard frozen chicken wings from a truly uninspired menu and wilted lettuce & onion on your sandwich, this is the place for you. Or you could just belly-up to the bar with the other dirty old men & ogle at college girls. Apparently, that's why they are in business, because it certainly isn't for the wings.

Where do I start... Positives: -Cheap Beer on the weekend -Your outdoor patio is dog friendly -I like Texas and lived in Dallas -Your waitresses are nice and friendly Negatives: -You are a "wing house" and yet you can't grill your wings... -Your waitresses wear ripped panty hose and their butt checks clearly are not covered by your uniform. This wouldn't be that bad if you waitress were in decent shape. As others have said this is a knock off Hooters but the ladies here... should not wear that uniform. Harsh but the truth. -Your food leaves must to be desired for the money spent. -Your crowd ... are middle aged men and not a woman in sight aside from myself. -Wing sauce was gross, the boneless wing were super greasy. Not gonna go back even for the cheap beer.

This place is a Hooters with liquor and smaller black outfits. That aside they seem to have a special every day thats a good deal. My favorite is the Wednesday all you can eat wings for $10. The waitresses can't give you any food recommendations since all they eat are ice chips.

There is no denying the obvious--and for those of you that may want to go to Wing House, you deserve to know right away. This establishment runs on the Hooters business model. Same menu, decent draft list, bar stools abound. And the short shorts. Those and the boobs are there in spades. That being said--my husband said this place has franchises, and that some of their regional menu differences can be quite good. For example, when he was in Georgia, he reports that the Cajun wings were "out of this world." The Gainesville Wing House--not a stone's throw from UF--didn't have his long-awaited wings, but did have a CRAZY amount of shrimp for $7.99 with some sort of Old Bay flavor going on. We liked that and the $6.99 12oz Patron margarita--which was mixed exquisitely well. The prices are good and the wings were perfectly cooked. However, to some of you (and myself) who have more adventurous wing tastes--please note there are four and only four hot sauces at this establishment. And the "Exxtreme" sauce? Shouldn't have two Xs--and tastes just like the hot sauce one-rung down. If you like Hooters, give it a try.

Wow...where to start. Food was less than desirable...waitresses were really "C" team on the day we were there. Seriously, Hooters seems to be disappearing from the marketplace...probably for a reason...and this place isn't even at Hooters level. Hey, if you're a single woman who looks remotely attractive and you're looking for a date, this may be the place. Lots of guys there...good luck!!

Great wings and good service BUT the ladies room smelled and had Mosquitos and flys. They must know about the problem because there was an odor controller on the counter but it had spiders in it. Won't be going back.

I thought this place would be better than Wing Zone, but it was disappointing. The wings seem to be all cooked together, and sauce added afterwards. The chicken was dry, flavorless, and overcooked. The curly fries were pretty tasty, though. Maybe it was a bad batch, but not worth the risk of bad wings.

I see a lot of people comparing WH to Hooters - I would say they are bad attempt at reproducing the Hooters concept at best. The wait staff are courteous and efficient, but, the food is extremely mediocre. The "breaded" wings are distinguishable from the unbreaded. The wing sauce taste like it comes from a jar. And the bleu cheese and tartar sauce is prepackaged. Don't waste time at WH on Archer Rd, go to Ale House, Gators, or Chimps.

It's HOOTERS rebranded They've done a nice job renovating the old Shoney's Nice new layout. We had good service. Food is better than HOOTERS but that's not saying much. Let's face it you go here for beer, wings and the waitresses.

A Shoneys turned quasi-Hooters wing place. The wings here are above average. Crispy and juicy and the wing sauce is nicely done. I thought the wings were clearly superior to hooters. The reason I keep referencing hooters is because this place basically is a hooters in terms of its menu and the fact that its wait staff is big tittied college girls in low cut shirts and short-shorts. The food is better here though. Prices are ok. I wish they had better blue cheese than the pre-packaged kind you get here, but oh well. A good option for wings, and it's owned by a former gator football player.

Do NOT come to this place. I know someone who works there to help pay for her schooling. A diner left without paying and the manager then punished her by taking a portion of that bill(over $40!) from her night's wages. She was left with making $5/hr that day because of this person's immoral selfish decision. As a longtime Yelp Member, I REFUSE to patron a place that takes advantage of its employees. How DISGUSTING to punish your own employees who make less than minimum wage. This is ILLEGAL. I do not associate with establishments that like to gamble with federal regulations. "Where deductions for walk-outs, breakage, or cash register shortages reduce the employee's wages below the minimum wage, such deductions are illegal. Where a tipped employee is paid $2.13 per hour in direct (or cash) wages and the employer claims the maximum tip credit of $5.12 per hour, no such deductions can be made without reducing the employee below the minimum wage (even where the employee receives more than $5.12 per hour in tips)." -US Department of Labor ( dol.gov/whd/regs/complia… )

Great job remodeling the place, can't even tell it was the old Shoneys. My overall food rating is based solely on the wings, which I think are VERY good... garlic parm sauce mixed with medium, fantastic. Bar service gets an A, though wells/drinks are a lil pricey.

I had a salad (boring...I know). It was good, not good enough for me to say I can't wait to come back, though. When in G'ville next, I will try something less "Hooter-ish".

The food is only to be compared to hooters and there it excels. Wings are much better, but damn pricey. I can get better wings at a nicer, restaurant for a cheaper price. Ive asked if there was a wing night when its all you can eat or bogo, but they have none. Its that alone that influences me to go to Ale House, Dockside, or Mothers most of the week. Even BJs during their happy hour is better and cheaper. For a place that has "Wing" in its title, I expected more variety in sauces, styles, and quantity. Take Dockside for example.. They have 2 nights of the week that are all you can eat. One night is traditional and the other is boneless. Dockside has more sauces and they even have GRILLED wings. Wings happy hour is average. Its cost effective to get the call liquors no matter what time, but they use jiggers so no sympathetic heavy pours. Beer prices are again, pricey. Still Dont know why.. Is it the women? Ok. They are what is influencing my score dominantly but im not taking them home so they're merely eye candy.

Hooters knock-off. Typical bar food and beer. Wings are fine--they even leave the wing tips on just like Hooters. Scenery is nice, good service, but I just hate paying that much for wings. Works okay if you're in the neighborhood.

Wing house has a great atmosphere, lighting, responsive staff, and great looking girls. Can't speak on the food, since I ordered none. Overall, great experience!

Wow! The reviews on this place were not so hot. I tried it because I've had good experiences with the Wing House restaurants in Tampa. Cheap food, huge portions, & pretty girls to look at. So I decided to give the Gainesville Wing House I try. Pretty much the same results as Tampa. Good food, huge portions, cheap prices, and pretty girls to look at. My waitress was a little inexperienced but she was OK. My food came out quick, there was a huge portion, and it was an expensive. What more can you ask for.

obviously this restaurant is here JUST to make money.got greeted by a girl saying "sit anywhere" when obviously she was the hostess, after looking around we finally found a table behind a wall.-1 star. (not sure how that's working out for the business) after sitting down and finding a menu on the table a girl walked up to us with her tits hanging out...-1star. I work in a restaurant as well and when I ordered a burger and said "no garden" she looked at me like I was dumb. a garden is lettuce, tomato and onion. burger still came with the lettuce, tomato and onion on it. -1 star. my girlfriend got wings and had to pay 69 cents for each ranch (1&1/2 oz cups) -1star. save your time and money and find a dicks wings. -plus the girls wear their hair down and run their fingers through their hair and then serve you food. HEALTH CODE. -1star. but the sweet potato fries are off the chain.+1star.

After reading the reviews of this location I was little weary on coming here. Stopped in to watch the NBA finals and had wings a couple drinks and an appetizer. Wings were perfect drinks were great and service was excellent. I would come again. Wish they had coke products.
