Popeyes is my favorite fast food fried chicken restaurant, hands down. Their chicken is never dry with absolutely delicious and crispy chicken. Way better in taste alone than KFC or PDQ to me. It's also relatively at cost or cheaper than its competitors. And, if you keep your receipt, you can do a quick survey after your visit for a free 2 PC chicken and biscuit! As for why I gave them 4 stars, the location is a far, the parking lot is a bit small, I wish they'd give more green beans in their side dish (never gotten them filled here), and their staff is can be hit or miss in terms of customer service. But all of that pales in comparison to how good their chicken and biscuits are; I would drive out of my way any day for them! I came while they have the $5 big box which comes with two pieces of chicken (or you can get 3 chicken fingers), 2 sides, and a biscuit. It's incredibly cheap for the quality of food (taste wise). Ask for jelly or honey to go with your biscuit! Even if you aren't a fan of biscuits (like me) you should give them a try because they're absolutely delicious! I'll randomly crave them at all sorts of times. Word of warning, if you try to come during a work week lunch day, the drive through is known to wrap around the building and extend out to the road. You may need to park and go in, but either way they're really fast and getting your food out to you!

I love Popeye's, wish there was another one in town. The chicken is much better tasting than KFC and really any other fried chicken I've had. I do think most of the employees are doing the best they can, and I wish I could give it more stars, but honestly it's almost always messy looking in the dining room, they always have to cook part of my order or sub a different piece of chicken, or regular instead of spicy, etc and therefore I have to wait, and they always forget something in the order or put something in that is wrong. Last night we had to wait an extra 8 minutes for spicy tenders, and then one of the side orders was wrong. They are always out of one or two kinds of sauce, last night they didn't have any regular ranch or strawberry jam. But they had blackened ranch and grape jam. I mean, it's not anything that bad but it could be better. Maybe a more attentive GM? I don't know. But it's worth the drive across town now and then.

I walk in and place my order. 7 minutes after I order I was told that they were out of chicken and it would be 7 minutes. I wait and watch the entertainment going on behind the counter as the employees back talk the manager who seems to be the only one not standing around stuffing her face with food that came from the 3 previous messed up drive-thru orders. After a few minutes my order comes up, hot chicken, and cold everything else. This is why you dont prepare an order to serve until everything is ready to go. When I arrive back at work I opened the bag and began to eat when I noticed a couple of pies tossed in the bag, for the wait I figure. Then I realize that for the entire time I was there that there was a woman standing next to me waiting on her pies. I pull the pies out and notice a receipt attached that has the name Brenda across the top. So, sorry Brenda but I have your pies. Oh and the place looked as though it hadn't been cleaned since the 70's.

Elite Badge now! What am I gonna do to celebrate!? "I'm going to Popeye's!" It didnt really go down like that. But Popeye's was happening. This is the only Popeyes Ive ever been to. This is my favorite fried chicken in Gainesville. It's just darn good! Service and ambiance is obsolete when you're here just to eat! The spicy and mild fried chicken are just so good. The skin is crispy while the meat still is tender and great. The spices they use are just great. The shrimp isnt that great, but I didnt expect it to be (It is pretty much fast food anyways). The Po'Boys are good. They arent authentic, but again...not expecting authentic. I'm expecting great taste. The wraps are great too (Chicken tender with red beans and rice) The biscuits are SO good. And I dont even like biscuits too much. The cajun rice is good but never sits well with me afterwards. The red beans and rice are necessary when coming here. The seasoned fries are standard. Mashed Potatoes are legit. No question you need mashed potatoes when eating fried chicken (...that and hot sauce) Prices could be a little better. I usually stick with individual meals and maybe a wrap to go with it. Only problem with Popeye's...Not enough locations and no location that offers a buffet. (Can I even hold that against them?)

Your chicken and sides are great. I have been to numerous popeyes and it is on par. I absolutely love the beans and rice and mashed potatoes and gravy. All of those other popeyes would get 4 stars, maybe even 5, but not this one. Why? Everytime I go here, they are out of mild chicken. They tell you this (if you are lucky) after you order. By out, they mean they aren't going to start cooking it for 5 more minutes. This store frequently does not honor nationally advertised specials. So I have given up on the idea of getting out of there quickly...... but this last time I went there, I was done wrong! I decided to break from the norm and order the special on the sign.... a chicken strip meal with a drink. Manager at register: For here or to go? Me: To go, I would like the chicken strip meal special with a drink. Manager: We aint doin that no more. Me: Ohhkay..... ( I know not to mess with people about food, just except it and dont argue or youll pay) Me: Okay, I will take a 2 piece mild snack. He finishes the transaction not saying a word.... Five minutes later, I hear them chattering about being out of both mild and spicy. So I continue to wait another sixteen minutes. (time stamped on receipt) They hand me the box. I get in my car and drive off.... reach in the box for the leg, take a bite and its old and cold. Did I seriously wait 21 miinutes for old chicken?

The biscuits is amazing when you put honey on it. The mashed potatoes and gravy is always the best. The chicken on the other hand could be a bit more fresh. I expect it to be steaming hot when it comes to me. It was just warm, but its all good, I still enjoyed it. The service was quick and pleasant.

Mmmmm, Popeyes! Love, love, love this chicken from Popeyes. Their chicken is Oh so crispy and succulent! I drench it in honey and I'm instantly in heaven. Grape jelly on their biscuits. The biscuits are nice and buttery. You can actually see the butter baked into it. Their scratchy like homemade biscuits. And their coleslaw? Whaaaat?! Nice and sweet, chopped up nicely. The combo between the 3 are uberly fantastic! I've never tried the rice and beans. Not really a fan of dirty rice and red beans but maybe I will one day. The staff is always friendly and they have never messed up my order. That means a lot to me. Until i move to a bigger city where i can get some good ole finger lickin fried chicken, Popeyes will be getting my business. That's for sure.

Popeyes is my favorite fried chicken place. The reason I like them is because they have spicy and mild (but spicy is the best) and have different side items. Their mashed potatoes are good and they come with cajun gravy (delish), cajun rice, red beans and rice, seasoned fries, etc. It is all really good and then for dessert don't forget to get a hot apple pie!!!!!
