Server was nice. Food was ok. This is just an average restaurant. Although I have no complains nothing wow-ed me. The place can use a little cleaning though specially the bathrooms.

Server (Kristy) was fantastic and had a great attitude. The rest of the experience was subpar. The place was filthy, the kitchen was full of ex cons and the food wasn't prepared the right way the way corporate would have wanted.

They don't cook a lot of there food. You can't ask for any changes or to have something well done. I couldn't get my bacon or my tater tots well done. Avoid this place. They microwave frozen prepackaged food here for you to eat. There is nothing fresh.

Pretty busy, big portions, reliably good food with a wait. Located near the interstate, Perkins is a regular fallback for the football crowd. It gets very crowded for breakfast. You will be seated fast, but have to wait a while on food. Portions are large and the food good. Entrees run about $8-14. Large booths available if you have a group. You will walk away stuffed without a huge bill. Service was good.

When hunger calls , it really calls tonight we decided to come and enjoy a nice dinner at Perkins in newberry ,Gainesville . I'll give my plate 4stars since it's exactly what I was expecting. Sarah gives 2 stars , since her plate tasted pretty bad , the only good thing was the broccoli . I decide to rate with 3stars since my silver wear was pretty dirty I'll post a picture of it , but what saved the day was out server, he was very polite and friendly. Make sure to stop by and ask for Lucus ! Hands down Best service you'll ever experience !

I actually missed the exit we wanted to get off on, to go to Chick Fil-A, and due to the accident on the other side of the interstate we went here instead. First the good. We were seated promptly, service & food was good. The rest wasn't bad. The restrooms could have been cleaned better, & the table was sticky.

Great speedy service! Great food and great variety! Server was Lucus and he did an excellent job bringing out our food and checking up on our table. The family was very happy!

I decided to stop in for breakfast this Saturday morning. Upon entering, I was hit by a bad odor. It smelled like someone had recently vomited in the restaurant. Two people were ahead of me in line waiting to be seated. I'm not sure how long they had been waiting, but t took five minutes after I arrived before someone came to lead them to a table. I should have taken these two things as a sign to leave, but I didn't. I was greeted relatively soon by a waitress who took my drink order and shortly returned to take my breakfast order. That's the last time I saw her. Thirty minutes later, with four tables who came in after me being served, I still did not have my breakfast. No waitress, no breakfast, and horrible odor....I finally got up and left. I ended up at McDonald's, which was more than eager to serve me quickly. I won't be returning to Perkins.

Perkins is practically the same as Denny's. Food is average and so is the service. This location gets pretty busy for Sunday brunch, but nothing beyond a 20-30 minute wait.

I guess it's time for a new review. The only Perkins we've eaten at is near the Grand Rapids, MI. airport for a very good breakfast. We stopped at this one for a light meal yesterday evening. The staff was very friendly, chatting awhile about their 'Gators' teams. Hubby ordered a side salad that was VERY fresh, large, and tasty. He also got the chicken pot pie that was at least 1/3 or more larger than he thought it would be. Even though it was delicious, he couldn't eat it all. I had a cup of very nice, very hot tomato basil soup and 1/2 ham & cheese sandwich. We were very pleased with this meal. (those muffins looked wonderful, but we were too full to even think about more food).

I love Perkins! They have excellent "diner coffee". I used to go and study there late at night/early in the morning with my girlfriends and always had excellent service and wonderful food. I have had wonderful breakfasts and lunches there! Their desserts are really good especially their Key Lime Pie! Yum.

ok...so when ya meet your 16 year old daughter after she gets off work at midnight Perkins makes sense. She ordered the french dip, and since I had already eaten dinner I opted for dessert. her french dip seemed a little underwhelming...small sandwich, basic ajus, and not much too it. the side salad option was her choice of side, and it was fresh and ample. My Caramel apple pie was fair - the pie lacked filling of any substance, but the topping was tasty - the cruncy type like an apple crisp. Overall - what I expected for Perkins at midnight

This place is hilarious in the middle of the night- full of ridiculously drunk people. The food's generally good- nothing extraordinary.

The restaurant smells terrible... the mold/mildew smell is strongest near the front, but noticeable everywhere. The service and food are generally pretty good, so it's disappointing that we've had to write them off until they replace the carpets and do whatever else may be necessary to mitigate the odor problem. It's THAT bad.

I can't believe I use to like this place. We walked in and it smelled like a urinal cake. The chicken soup was ice cold and the waiter was very weird. I feel like I've been taking my local Bob Evans for granted.

Had seen Perkins Restaurants during travels all over the place and at the suggestion of the LDC, we went for a Sat. noon breakfast. I found it hard to believe I had never stepped foot in one since I thought I'd been everywhere (only in my mind). A far cry from Waffle House, it had the appearance of a dressed up Denny's, but the menu selection makes it even more classy. Very pleasant atmosphere and we were seated and greeted at the table promptly. I ordered 2 eggs over easy and hash browns, toast. The LDC ordered her standard veggie omelet and hash browns. We ordered a pancake on the sides to split. The food was fine but unremarkable, all except the pancake. If you like them very light and fluffy with perfectly pre-warmed syrup, you'll call them 6 star pancakes. I'm not sure I'd go here for any other meal but next time, I'm getting a stack. Can't wait to go back for that.

Great selection of food, the tilapia dish is amazing. Good service, - I've only been when its slammed at 12am, and they still managed to keep up. Reminds me of homecooked food, something definitely hard to find in Gainesville

10:30pm, realizing I'm hungry, no desire for fast food before going home... Driving by Perkins, oh yes, I can at least have some eggs or something light. I ordered a custom omelet, with spinach, broccoli and egg whites. It was perfect. I didnt' have to suffer indigestion from a drive thru because I didn't get around to eating dinner until after 10pm... i'll remember that next time it's late and I'm not looking for gourmet, just good old easy clean food. I was the only non-student in the place! It's great they let the study crew enjoy their space after hours! Oh yeah... I picked up "buy three, get three free", very huge muffins while there, had a blueberry one for breakfast and gave the rest away! Lovely!

My friend ordered an "Open Face Pot Roast" there once. He gets one star followed by like seven question marks. I see no harm in ordering a coffee anywhere. I probably should. This place gets three stars for playing a bizarre mix of smooth music and indie rock last time I was there.

Not bad in the middle of the night when you're hungry and McDonald's just won't do. The muffins are awesome, the omelettes are (usually) pretty good. Everything else is questionable. I ordered a mushroom swiss burger once and received a chicken sandwich; my husband regularly orders appetizers that never arrive. However, if you let the waitstaff know that there's a problem, in my experience they do attempt to fix it as quickly as they can.

Don't order from the lunch/dinner menu. Perkins does breakfast 24/7. Omelettes & pancakes are good & the breakfast potatoes are usually excellent. Love the carafe of coffee -- no waiting for refills. I don't really do dessert, but their baked goods are always tempting.

When it is good, it is very very good..but when it is bad...the waiter AND manager hide from you, lol!

Their actual food is not so good. Their desserts are, though. If you come to Perkins during the day, you're insane. This is a late night place only.

The food is pretty good but management is horrible! Do not go here after 10pm! If you do, be prepared to wait anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes before you are seated. While waiting you will see one waitress working her butt off while the manager, a dark haired Spanish/Italian looking guy in his early 30's hides in the back doing God knows what while patrons are waiting to be seated or to pay their check. When he does come out of the back he looks like he is under the influence of some type of substance. Oh and be prepared to wait 30 minutes for something as simple as eggs to come out from the kitchen.
