Whoever doesn't like Krispy Kreme is the anti-Christ. Yummy fried circular dough slathered in sugar, so warm and gooey in my mouth. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! AND I was told there is a Krispy Kreme in one of the NYU buildings. How I've longed for you Krispy Kreme! We will be together very soon. Oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!! Slobber slobber, drool.

The "Hot Now" sign was on so we ordered 2 dozen. Don't sleep on the hot now sign being on. These glazed donuts are melt in your hand & mouth good! Really not a whole lot to say but just go to your local Krispy Kreme and try them. If the "Hot Now" sign is not on then you can toss them in the microwave for 10 - 20 seconds and they become melt in your mouth delicious.

During the Fest last year a bunch of crusties camped out in my friend's backyard. All they ate for the entire weekend were dumpstered Krispy Kreme donuts. They just sat in a pile in the middle of the yard for them to feed off of while they played guitars, talked about retarded conspiracy theories, and put bandannas around the necks of their skinny, sickly dogs. Fuck this place for allowing an outlet for crusties to keep themselves from starving to death.

As a kid I used to always get Krispy Kreme, so it was a great surprise to see one still open while visit University of Florida. Ambiance: Very old school feeling, and of course it has the old fashioned Krispy Kreme feel to the place. Coffee: When there a doughnut, there must be coffee! The coffee was good, exactly what your would expect. THE DOUGHNUTS: Of course you have to go with a glazed for one of your doughnuts, but why not get a couple? There all delicious! Overall, I have to say this is a must stop if you have never been to Krispy Kreme. Their doughnuts are fresh and always delicious! 5 of 5 stars from me! Thanks, Connor Brady

Oh the memories, the memories...succulenty delicious doughnuts, terrible service, and a weird atmosphere. I don't buy Krispy Kreams at the jiffy store or anywhere else. I only get them from the production center where they are fresh. I used to eat these holey temptations regularly - usually several hours after midnight - but now I have one on a rare occasion. Crazy stuff would always happen when we rolled into KK. There and Denny's...you remember the one. Nothing else is like them! They are the pure Devil, but oh-so good. P.S. The price has gone up so much over the years that I'm giving it two dollar symbols.

The only real purpose of any Krispy Kreme shop is to sell doughnuts, especially the classic glazed ones the company has built its repute upon over many years. Located not far from the UF campus on 13th Street, this Krispy Kreme is open 24/7 and often has fresh doughnuts availible. Should yours not be hot and fresh, here's a trick: put your doughnut in the microwave for about ten seconds prior to eating it and it will taste soooooo good. I am all for healthy food, all for growing things local and eating local and slow foods and all that BUT you've just gotta love Krispy Kreme nonetheless. This location is an older one, and the buidling is designed in the classic doo-wop 1950s Krispy Kreme style with the giant neon sign and all. It's a fun place and the staff is nice enough, though I agree they could perhaps keep things a bit cleaner. Still, once again, the only reason anyone comes here is the doughnuts and they do that spot-on so there's really nothing to complain about.

Who the heck gives Krispy Kreme less than 5 stars? This place is amazing, and I love the HUGE light up sign in front of the store. A dozen donuts are $7, $8 if it is mixed. I always get the donut holes, you get a dozen for $3-$4, and they always give you more than a dozen! My favorites, are: 5. Creme filled 4. lemon- these are available on Sundays 3. raspberry- there are seeds inside. so good. and its healthy! ;) 2. pumpkin- available now! 1. glazed. get em fresh, when the round sign in the window is lit up!

A great Krispy Kreme with a touch of historic flare. This is Gainesville's original Krispy Kreme, the staff is friendly and the donuts are always hot.

This is the factory in town that makes the donuts fot all of north central florida it's where you get the freshest donuts and can find the "Hot donuts Now" sign lit if you're lucky. Krispy Kreme are yeast donuts so if you're a cake donut fan than you'll have to go to dunkin donuts instead but why limit yourself to just one kind of donut indulge yourself and try all kinds! Theres always a special on getting a second dozen glazed donuts at a great price.

If I had a choice as to what I'd eat right before dying, I'd probably choose a batch of hot off the conveyor belt glazed donuts from Krispy Kreme. Speaking of death, these fat pills will surely help put you in your grave quicker, but it's so worth the price. If you're not already familiar, they will light up a sign to let you know when the donuts are hot and coming off the assembly line. When you see the light, pull in. When the donuts are not hot they're just not as good and are almost a different food product all together. I generally skip over the assorted varieties and just stick to the plain glazed donuts. --Boring information section-- In the past year they recently remodeled the interior, so it's much cleaner feeling now. The service has always been fast and professional. Like everything else in the world, the prices have gone up over the years. The cost of a dozen donuts is now around $8. --End boring information section-- I wonder if they have an app that will send you push notifications when the donuts are hot...hmm, off the check the app store.

Of course this place can't fail, in a college town? Fresh, fattening, melts in your mouth carb bombs, how can you resist? Glad they do not make them Gluten Free, I couldn't control myself. Just watching my husband wolf those heart attack circles make me gain weight.

Awesome doughnuts at the NW corner of the UF campus. They are especially good when they are hot off the conveyor belt.

I was raised on two chocolate glazed donuts and a chocolate milk for breakfast. Well, not every morning, but I recall it happening on occasion. These are raised donuts, and when fresh are little pillows of sweet love. Much better than dry cake donuts that some other places offer. You can get cake donuts here as well, if you are so inclined. But, I recommend going with the raised fluffy sugar bombs. When the sign is glowing red, the donuts are fresh. I have never received a donut from this location that was not perfect, so they are always fresh to me. My Mom could take down a dozen of these in day. I made the mistake of just purchasing a half dozen chocolate glazed and they were gone in like five minutes. I only got one, and it made me sad. The prices are almost the same whether you purchase 1/2 dozen or a dozen, so I recommend just taking the full dozen. Someone will eat them.

Pure evil, masquerading as a tasty treat. I've been eating Krispy Kreme doghnuts since I was a wee lad. They are pure delicious individual heart attacks in a box. I love the hot glazed, and when I really want to send my blood sugar off the charts, i get the chocolate glazed glazed or one of those unreal Bavarian Kremes. This location is typical on sales and service, but features an awesome 1950s era giant roadside kitsch sign. Under today's sign code this could never be built - and they should make it a local landmark and preserve its neon genius. Note: On Friday and Saturday nights after the bars close at 2 am, you might run into about an hour or so of idiots doing an impromptu 'car show' featuring those freakish giant rims, hideous paint jobs and terrible 'music'. The cops run them off eventually - but getting in to get KK at that hour is a crap shoot.

These are amazing doughnuts. They are fresh and light as air. My favorites are the original glazed and the chocolate iced glazed. If you are in Gainesville, it is a must try, especially when the " hot doughnuts now" sign is on!

I want these. They're fried wads of dough covered in sugar. I still want them. The shop is sketchy and scary. The countertops look as though they've been cleaned with a dirty mop. The hot doughnuts are only available when traffic is too heavy to get in or out, or better yet, at 3 a.m. I still want them. It's FRIED DOUGH, for heaven's sake. You can actually stand in front of the conveyor belt and watch the doughnuts being slathered. It should rightfully turn you off for life. I still want them. They are clearly crack in disguise.

  • Adriann J.

Krispy Kreme AKA my crack dealer. These doughnuts are CRACK!

  • John L.

Fresh, warm, yeast raised, and just out from under the glaze their doughnuts are unbeatable. Dunkin cannot hold a candle to Krispy Kreme's dough formula, which BTW, is perfectly proofed. Stop in when the neon sign is on for perfection (you can actually call to find out); other than then all bets are off.

This place was my savior in Gainesville, FL. Talk about when that sign came on that said "Hot Donuts Now".......it was like the gates of heaven had opened and the best donuts in the world came forth flowing. This place was always open, always ready, and always serving the best coffee and donuts in town . Stop in any time day or night for a treat that can't compare to many in this town!

I wish there was a dunkin donut in town. Evrything is glazed with cheap sugar and served to you by ex inmates. Stale stale stale.

  • Mrs. H.

As far as dough-nuts go, Krispy Kreme is king. Though it hasn't deterred me from popping a dough-nut down my fat noggin, this is where I discovered that doughnuts are fried. The neon sign outside lights up to tell you when these bathing beauties have just come out of their oil bath. Find your own favorite by getting a dozen. Mine is the Apple and Spice dough-nut: looks like a jelly dough-nut, but it's covered in cinnamon and sugar and filled with apple pie filling. Heaven.

  • Coleen T.

Fried Dough, sugar, cheap, and open late.... nuff said. By the way, those hours must be wrong, because I have definitely gone to grab a doughnut past midnight before...

  • Kelsey S.

I was not raised on Krispy Kremes. This I my disclaimer before I write this review. The donut are decent (not my favorite). They are light and fluffy but then completely coated in sugar that makes up the glaze. The only way to eat them is if they are hot and fresh. If they sit for awhile then they taste greasier. They have other options besides the original glazed but they are not as fresh. There are filled donuts too. The shop is small and outdated. There is really no place to sit and eat them if you wanted. You also can't watch them make the donuts as it is all hidden.
