My fiancé was placed at the best western hotel for business and I went along for the trip. We decided to have dinner at gator's den because the hotel gave us coupons. We were pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. My fiancé wanted more than bar food, so he ordered what I believe is called Monterey chicken and I ordered a chicken quesadilla. For drinks, I had a glass of the house Pinot Grigio and my fiancé a new castle beer. His dinner was wonderful and came with two generously portioned sides, garlic bread, and a salad. One of the sides he chose was mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon. It was delicious and I had to steal a couple of bites. My quesadilla was also great and a large portion. We fought to try to finish our meals as there was so much food! We could not resist dessert though, so we tried the molten lava cake which came with ice cream on top. It was totally worth it. The only thing I was not completely satisfied with was the house Pinot Grigio because it tasted a bit sour, but as it was a low shelf wine it is nothing to complain about. Courtney was our server, kudos to her! She did a great job and was honest when giving her opinions about menu items!

Very convenient when staying at the Best Western Gateway Grand! Kids menu and crayons. Always ask front desk for a coupon :) Have to try the Reuben Balls for an app :) full bar for the adults. TVs at every table for fellow sports fans. Cannot believe the portions. All 4 of us boxed up leftovers to take back to the room (thank you for the fridge and microwave!)

Was staying at the Best Western and decided to try this sports bar instead of going out and it was fantastic!! The free app was great and I ordered the NY Strip cooked to perfection and really good. The service was superb, shout out to Christine our server she was awesome and put the meal over the top. Can't say enough this place was great A+++++.

Courtney is fantastic and always provides great customer service. She is very attentive and friendly. She suggested we try a hot sauce the chef had made for our chicken tenders since we wanted something really spicy. Wow! Chef Steve B. created an awesome sauce full of heat and flavor. We hope it is available every time we visit the restaurant! Thank you Courtney for recommending it and thank you Chef Steve for creating such a delicious sauce!

Food was ok when it finally arrived! If u offer a pressed sandwich, it doesnt mean toast the bread. Waited a long time for everything . Then waitress didn't ever come back to see if we needed anything else. And more expensive than needed to be. Not impressed. If u have the time, find another place.

the best sports bar ive ever been to. really nice atmosphere servers and the food is beyond perfect big time shout out to chef damon, tried a few things and im super happy (try the nachos w chicken trust me), nowhere near your average bar food you have to check this place out hidden gem

The food is good, the beer is cold, and Toni is friendly and fast. The "famous" wings are not the best, but I have never had bad food there. Their burgers are worth bragging about, thick juicy and fresh toppings. If you sit at the bar plan on getting in a conversation because it is always a friendly crowd there.

Solid FOUR They were great ! My local sports bay closed and I was. Looking for a place to watch the Gator games, well I have found it. The place was clean and the staff nice. I typically get hot wings and beer however, I like a large amount of celery with my wings. The bartender literally cut me and entire stalk just for me and it was great I can eat two with my wings. When the wings came out they were big and tasty well made and served with and additional bone basket. I looked around at the other meals being served and they looked looked great. The quesadilla looked giant the burger next to me was very big. Bottom line I will be back! Looking for a sports bar this is the place...

This has been a staple for me whenever I come into town. You wouldn't expect a sports grill in the back of a hotel to be like this. They have TV's everywhere, literally at every table. If you're into sports like I am this is a huge plus. They have all the channels too. Their bar is well stocked, and the food.. What can I say about that? Their menu is diverse and the food quality is incredible compared to "other places" you'd catch the game at. Everything is fresh. You don't get the "frozen from a bag" stuff I was used to. Wait staff is friendly, and the bartenders, Elizabeth and Tony always seem to have a smile on their face. If you book a room at the Best Western Here you're doing yourself a service by stopping in "the den" as they call it.

Great place to watch football - good food, but the most outstanding feature of this bar Elisabeth. She's an excellent, attentive bartender - catch her if you're lucky!

Great little sports bar. The decor is fun and helps to get you into the football mood. The club sandwich was great, lots of meat and filling. I LOVED the fries, which were friend potato wedges. There is a good selection of alcohol available. Although I just choose to have a couple ice cold draft beers. The bartender, Elisabeth was friendly and attentive. This bar is a great benefit if you decide to stay at the Best Western.

Tonite the bartender took my plate away from me before I was finished. I guess she was ready to go home early. Also the featured and heavily promoted monthly menu was "sold out" even though it's only halfway through the month. Very disappointing and I was just told "We ran out of those ingredients." Service was arrogantly bad last time as well. Too bad, because my first visit here several months ago was really good. All in all an emberassment to the restaurant industry .

I frequent the Gator's Den for good drinks and the "Cheers" vibe the bar gives off. Toni and Elisabeth never fail to make me feel welcome. The food is so good I had to learn chef Bill's name. I definitely recommend this place to all my friends and other locals.

"HAD TO GO TO FL TO GET WORST SERVICE EVER!" Went with family and 2 friends over Thanksgiving week. The food was ok, but way over-priced. The hotel next door gives coupons for free apps but there are hidden/tricky catches to the free appetizer. We all purchased meals, and adult drinks too. Upon arriving, our party of 5 was merged into a party of 7 because of meeting 2 people we knew in the lobby and inviting them to our table. At the end of our meal, our dingy waitress who gave us horrible service (no-service as I also call it) gave us 1 check that charged both parties for their appetizers (which she never told us about the catch), charged us for blending of our drinks (A CHARGE TO CRUSH YOUR ICE IN A DRINK), and charged us 18% for an added tip. She said AFTER the meal that any party of 6 or more is automatically charged an 18% gratuity. That must be why she gave us horrible service, because she "knew" she was guaranteed an 18% tip. It was 2 parties a family of 5 and a family of 2 that joined together (4 of them kids). She never mentioned this to us. Here are the problems: NO Communication. She never told us about the apps not being free when the coupons were laying on the table. Neither party would have had the over-priced, bad-tasting apps. Next, she never mentioned that a drink that requires a blender has an UP-Charge on it. I have never heard of this. Last, she never mentioned "anything" about an 18% automatic tip, which is typically for LARGE parties. One last thing! When we talked to the Manager about this she DID NOT GIVE A DAMN about us as repeat customers. She said, quote unquote......"We have such a good local following that we don't need customers from the hotel!" After that, we just paid and are making it a mission to tell everyone we know about this place and how they don't care! PLEASE.....don't support restaurants like this! There were many other places that are better in the area. The next night we went to WAHOO's which is only a block away and it was fantastic!

We were here on a sports tournament so the hotel was full and so was the restaurant. The place was just too loud. It might have been better in other parts of the restaurant and we just were unlucky being seated next to the loudest and most obnoxious woman on the planet but we weren't willing to try again to find out. The server was creepy. I'm sure he thinks he's being friendly. We ordered room service the following night because we were exhausted and didn't want to deal with the noise or creepy wait service... and the same guy ends up delivering the food to the room and doubling down on the creepy! Plus, you'd think that paying this much for a mediocre room and so-so food would come with the privilege of having the charge placed on your hotel bill. Nope. You pay the restaurant right then and there. The food wasn't good enough to justify the hassle.

Awesome joint! Service was fast and friendly. Food was amazing! Portions are large but that was ok nc we are staying in the hotel so it was nice to have something to bring back. The prices were reasonable and we will most definitely be returning if we are in the area again!!!!

The staff at The Den is incredible!!!! Elisabeth, Toni, Courtney and Noah understand what it means to be in the hospitality industry. I worked for 10yrs in bars and clubs and hands down, this staff is the best in town. No matter how busy they are. They will make sure you don't get ignored. If you're looking to watch your favorite college or professional sports team, they'll make sure you're accommodated and get you a TV with you're game on. The food is great!!!! They have people who care about what they put out. If you're looking for great drink specials, gotta check them out. They always have deals for the games!!!! Great atmosphere and great bar!!!! Need an example? The other night I was there to watch the UFC Fights. Elisabeth was our bartender. Not only was she tending bar, but waiting tables, greeting people as they walk in, cleaning tables and the bar. Running food to and from the kitchen, and with that going on. I never waited for a drink and she never had any attitude or seemed too busy. That's a true bartender!!!!

Great burger!! Great service!! Quick stop through Gainsbille and this place was attached to where we stayed. Lucky us. There were even locals that came over just for the game and a burger and beer.

This restaurant has a great atmosphere (even for a Nole), delicious food and super friendly staff. I love the fish tacos with a side of grilled zucchini and squash... So good! The menu ranges from chicken wings to chicken Marsala and Cajun bayou type foods. Everything I've had is really good.
