This is the first time I tried a Chipotle restaurant. I liken it to Moe's in many ways although Chipotle may be a bit healthier as Moe's tastes a lot saltier. I had a burrito with chicken. The brown rice, chicken, and pinto beans combo was good, I added some salsa and it was too spicy. I was disappointed they were out of chips. What restaurant like this would run out of their chips? Still, overall it was a good experience...a bit crowded and took a while to be able to order, but the food is tasty.

I go to this Chipotle about once a month. The burritos are great but the portion sizes are extremely inconsistent. I either get the most generous server in the world or the stingiest, never in between. Obviously it's nice when I get a generous server, but it doesn't make up for the feeling of beating cheated the next time I go and pay the same amount for half the food I got last time. The one thing they are consistent on is you can count on the chips being stale.

On a recent Florida road-trip, my wife and I stopped here for lunch. We were not disappointed. It was the same high-quality tasty food we've come to expect from Chipotle's across the country. It was fast and good. My wife and I both get chicken bowls; she likes the green salsa; I like the red. It really fills us up, which is great on a road-trip, because who wants to be stopping all the time?!

I love Chipotle overall, and have always been happy no matter the location. Until today. The bathroom resembles a dirty gas station more than it exudes industrial chic. The workers making the food were extremely stingy on portions, being careful to dish out exactly one conservative spoonful of each item. The rice was undercooked. Crunchy. The cashier was unfriendly and did not offer a tray. The steak was very tough. The flavor was not good, it didn't taste fresh. As we waited to pour drinks, a worker refilled supplies for several minutes, blocking the entire area. There were wet chips in our bag. Improperly fried? Contaminated with something else? Who knows. I guess it's possible they're having a really, really bad day. Mismanagememt is much more likely.

Love the food at Chipotle but this location is very stingy with the serving sizes. I have eaten at several different locations, even in different states. They hardly give you any meat unless you order extra and pay extra. Considering the prices they should be a little more giving.

There's not that much to say about this place. If you've ever been to chipotle you should know that its always packed. The food was good but the chips were waaaayyy too salty. I couldn't even eat it. I threw it away.Other than that, it's a good place.

My favorite Mexican food place ever! Every time i was doing road trip, when i saw a chipotle, i would be so excited and wanted to stop and eat! !!!!!!!!!

Overall, Id have to say I enjoyed this place. At first, the ordering process was kinda confusing, but it turned out to be the Subway version of a burrito palace. Anyway, I went with my besties and we each got something different so we could try it all out. The pork was awesome, but the chicken was only okay (thus the 4 stars). It was in very small pieces, rather oddly seasoned but not horrible, still 1000% better than TacoBell. The salsas were very good, and present. I think the rice was the most interesting part of the burrito. They use a white rice with cilantro and lime that has a very distinct flavor, but it isnt a filler for the burrito itself. The grilled veg tasted very fresh and crispy, not oily or soggy. Chips were pretty good, had some kind of kick to em that I liked. So all in all, a pretty good experience, would go again. (PS-Dont go here on a date. The burritos are the size of a newborn baby and involve some mouth stretching)

Brown rice? Maybe, please? Also, stand back, they're shoving trays today! Busy lunch and the gal who rings you up really, really wanted me out of the way....the burrito bowl was good, not great. Convenient, inexpensive but nothing I would rave about.

I like Chipotle a lot. It's not "real" Mexican, however, the burritos taste better then Moe's by far. The only things I don't like are: chips aren't free, the guac is too expensive, and the chairs aren't that comfortable and I'll look past those things every time to get my hands on one of those delectable yummies!

  • Mofocro S.

I love this place. I am more of a plain person so I get chicken, rice, cheese (lots of cheese), and lettuce. I am always satisfied with that order. When I'm very hungry I double all the items. My mom (I'm a teen) is not as plain. She gets the burrito bowl with half chicken half steak, cheese, sour cream, green salsa, corn sauce. Honestly I like the burritos here way better than moes.

First time visit for me, the staff was exceptional and very friendly so they get 5 stars... Steak burrito was very good... Think they would benefit from a new salsa or taco sauce. The ones they have aren't great. The guacamole was very fresh, but needed more garlic salt, salt, and lime. Over-all was pretty good, but would try somewhere else before deciding this is best Mexican food in gville.

  • Johnny L.

Yeah...definitely have to get the burrito bowl and ask for a tortilla on the side (should be free). Got a burrito last night and they've made it a lot smaller than it used to be. The amount of meat and rice you get compared to a burrito bowl isn't really worth it. Tried the steak burrito which was great. The meat was really good but Carnitas and Barbacoa are probably still the best. Burritos are still wide, but the length lets me know that I need to get a burrito bowl and make my own.

Chipotle has always been one of my favorites and I've never had a bad experience here. I don't know how much of a new development this is, but they got brown rice!!! I'm super excited, seeing as I haven't frequented Chipotle as much as I used to now that I'm on a health kick. I got a carnitas burrito for my boyfriend (which was HUGE as always) and a vegetarian bowl for myself. I was pleasantly surprised to see them cooking and chopping more meat even though it was an hour before closing. The brown rice was a great change, too, and tasted pretty good. Sometimes this location can skimp on the ingredients, but they've been doing a great job lately. The employees were friendly, accommodating and worked very quickly. The only reason they don't get 5 stars in my book is that $2 for a scoop of guacamole is a little ridiculous and parking here sucks.

This is my second time trying Chipotle, I think it is allright. Nothing special aside from their business model is a bit different from Moe's Grill. Overall I believe the food quality is not great. Their steak is like chunk of overcooked seasoned beef, and the pork taste good because of its fat. However, their service is quick and they are clean! They use gloves and sanitizers. But I dislikes how they charge for chips and some of the sauces. Regardless, they dont have enough variety like Moe's grill does.

  • Kristen C.

All I gotta say is that the rice was undercooked. It's not cute when your rice is crunchy... unless it's my grandmother's pegao. Hmmm... way to kill a craving, Chipotle. I'd try the University location before coming here again. Boo.

    (2)
  • Nolan R.

I got the Chicken Burrito Bowl and it was everything I expected. The rice was well cooked the chicken was on point and the lettuce...well...who can screw up lettuce? I didn't expect to spend 20 minutes trying to find a place to park. Are you kidding me? I feel sorry for the folks who live behind this place. They've got people parking in their yards, etc... I was impressed with the teamwork shown at this Chipotle. The folks behind the counter looked out for one another and it seemed like a well oiled machine. Will I be back? Probably....will I have to see how the parking is though. That was wild.

I love chipotle as much as the next basic bitch, but this one in particular I find a slight bit frustrating. The corn is usually cold, which sucks, and then they are EXTREMELY stingy with the portion sizes. We're talking, half a scoop of rice people.

I love Chipotle...usually. I went into this particular one a few months back and got the stingiest crunchy tacos ever. When I complained, I only received attitude in return. I forgot about that and went back again today. I literally counted 5 small pieces of chicken on my taco. When I asked if that's all the meat that is supposed to come with the taco, the girl responded with a yes. I questioned the fact that a large crunchy taco gets five small pieces of chicken, and she told me that's all she was allowed to put on the taco unless I paid for more. (I have a picture for proof and wish I knew how to upload it.) Needless to say I ate my taco and I'm still hungry. I am never going back to this store location. In fact, I think I'm going to Moes from now on where I leave full and satisfied. Your cheap taco pushed another customer away. Thanks for nothing.

Good food, but always leave feeling like a gut bomb.. Best thing here is the chips and jalapeno ranch.

    (4)
  • Scott R.

The staff here is super friendly. And the food is fresh and tasty. I do however see a huge problem with inconsistent portions. Depending on who is working the rice and meat station will decide if your going to get your value or not. My last order was 2 bowls. When they were completely they looked as if I ordered a new menu item. "Kids bowls". I was a little disappointed but next time I will say something at the time of ordering. As far as the restaurant goes. Great service, friendly staff, and clean.

I come here at least once a week, staff is always friendly and on top of their game and the food is always top notch. Chipotle is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for (quality food and healthy proportions). This place gets busy during dinner time and on weekends but it's never anything like the one on University which is just ridiculous.

Quite possibly my fave lunch on the planet! The fajita bowel with a steamed tortilla and salad dressing is amazing!

I really wish they would heat the corn up for serving. Frozen bits of corn mixed into the other warm ingredients messes up my burrito bowl vibe.

Typical Chipotle but don't expect these UF students to serve with a smile. Also if they are running low or out of an ingredient you shouldn't expect it to get replenished.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
