Im going to give this place 4 stars simply because I eat clean 90% of the time and I appreciate food businesses that cater to health conscious eaters. When I came in I sat at the counter. The restaurant is pretty small. I looked over the breakfast items. They dont have a huge breakfast menu, so I quickly decided on the breakfast bowl. It was brown rice topped with 2 free range chicken eggs, chicken sausage made from free range chicken, and you get 2 veggie choices and cheese with eggs, or 3 veggies and no cheese. I got the eggs with spinach, tomato and pepper jack cheese. It tasted pretty good. Very fresh. Portions not huge...it really needed more chicken sausage. I has bottomless cold green tea with it, and to go I got the almond butter flourless brownies which were very good! The service was pretty quick. Everyone was friendly enough. I walked away spending $22 after the (2)$4 brownies. I wish the portions were bigger, but it was still a good breakfast.

Amazing food, service and gluten free beer selection. A celiac's dream! The food is inventive and healthy but it does not lose any flavor and will please the whole family. All natural ingredients and a well informed staff. I stop here every time i'm in Tampa.

Why is it ever organic meal you eat is flavorless cardboard? Do organic spices exist? The people were nice and it's a fine establishment, the only problem is the product. I was bored, I don't think I'll be a repeat customer when there are other places nearby that believe in flavor.

I am eating their meatloaf as I type. I wanted to write this before I leave and forget because I was pessimistic reding some of the reviews about under seasoning. I'm eating meatloaf (turkey), gravy, veggies and mashed potatoes. This is PERFECTLY seasoned. And I loooveee salt. The meatloaf came grilled and I thought that it'd certainly be dry. It's not it's delicious. The staff are delightful. One if the cooks came to check on some patrons and make sure they were enjoying themselves. I'm eating comfort food and don't feel like I'll have a heart attack. Apparently it possible AND I'm enjoying it! I recommend this place bits great.

Had brunch there today and it was great! Our server had great energy and was prompt. I had the peanut butter french toast with roasted bananas, scrambled eggs and turkey bacon. It was delicious! We got there at the right time (11am) because it soon became packed and on a wait. We will be back!

Friendly service and healthy food at reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? This is a great place to stop for anyone with a food allergy or anyone looking for a filling meal. The food does err toward the bland side, but it is easily seasonable with the hot sauce, salt and pepper, etc. provided by the wait staff. When I visited on the 4th of July, the chef wrote "Murica!" with cashew cream on my red, white, and blue gluten free pancakes. I loved the attention to detail and the pride they take in the food!

For a gluten free and dairy free individual such as myself, this place is amazing. This is one of the only places I can actually get a "breakfast meal" and be satisfied. Their gluten free pancakes are divine. They do turkey bacon with their breakfast also, which earns bonus points in my book. I've never been disappointed with their bakery case... From a simple cookie to an almond butter chocolate brownie. My mouth is watering just thinking about it...

This place exceeded my expectations. My first experience was an amazing one. The service was phenomenal and our server was so sweet and charismatic. This place has a nice ambiance and a quaint true cafe vibe. The raw tacos and black bean burger (so filling) were amazing! They also have kombucha on tap!! This place is so great for vegetarians. I recommend coming after 5 though, that's when they have their "after dark" specials menu, which contains all the good stuff. Everything is reasonably priced which is awesome because it's hard to find inexpensive, healthy food especially that's vegetarian. Unfortunately, my second experience wasn't so great because of the poor service. It was a young girl, maybe she was new. Overall, I'll keep coming back to this place!!

I am a vegetarian as well as a very health conscious woman. I've yet to be disappointed by anything here. I absolutely love their veggie patties that are served with roasted squash and quinoa. Also love the walnut lettuce tacos and their amazing smoothies. One of my go to places here in Dunedin.

Great place . I'm really happy that I found all organic , gluten free café . Food is delish there . People are super nice and helpful . Wraps are so fresh and crispy . They make out of this world almond brownies. Both thumbs up. You should definitely check this place out .

We were instantly greeted as soon as we entered. The food was healthy and delicious. The atmosphere was more like being in someone's home rather than a restaurant. The server was very pleasant. I would suggest this place to someone looking for a healthy alternative. If you are crabby or running short on time or patience, go somewhere else and go back another time.

Expensive bland If you are into gluten free this is your place. If you want breakfast meat and toast go to one of the many other Dunedin spots. Not my cup of tea but the coffee was good. Nice server but order was wrong from the kitchen even though we were the only ones there,,

Omg!!! This place was one of my favorites during my visit to Tampa. My friend and I found this place on yelp while looking for a brunch place to check out. We loved that the ingredients were organic and vegan friendly. Neither of us are vegan, but it just means the food would be good. The place is a little smaller than I had anticipated. But quaint. We walked in and got a table right away. The server was so friendly and she definitely knew the specials like it was a regular menu item. She sold me on the southwest burritos, my friend had the peanut butter toast and her boyfriend had this stir fried chicken salad. My entree had brown rice seasoned with turmeric, who would have ever thought to combine the two? Genius! And everything tasted so fresh! It's a big burrito and I ate it all because I was so hungry. So if you go on a Saturday/Sunday and get the burrito. Make sure you're hungry. Everyone loved their entrees. The server brought us some kombucha to try. It was all on tap, I've never seen that before. That was so cool. I have to say, if I lived in the area, I would become a regular. It's so good and definitely worth trying. Seriously, can you guys open a location in Denver? I would be there all the time. Friendly service and even better food.

First time goes my here this was my review.....This place is so cute and hip! I begged my crew to go here while on vacation because I'm new to the gluten-free world and I loved it! All week I have been winging this gluten-free lifestyle so it was nice to have confidence that anything I got was free of gluten and I wouldn't feel sick! My fiancé and dad got the strawberry and banana smoothie which were very yummy and I got the green smoothie and it was good (earthy) (my fellow goers wasn't sold on it though) and I split the chicken Reuben with my mom w a cup of soup and it was good too! The staff was very friendly and the place was clean! And of course I couldn't leave without getting a brownie to go... Holy moly this thing was amazing! I'm ready to go back and buy the whole tray! My mom is a manager at a restaurant and I worked there for several years so of course we watch people's every move... The Cooks wore gloves the whole time and it was nice getting to be able to see them while they cook your meal.. We could see them cutting fresh produce.. Everything is gluten free and most of it is organic. The brownie was $4 but worth every penny... The smoothies were $6 but totally worth it (I felt like it was a clean treat) and the sandwich and soup was $12 so a bit pricey but worth the gluten free options and not having to worry ... Would for sure go back (especially for the brownie!!!) 2nd time going here I was soooooo excited due to my first experience here and I begged my party to go there so I could get a brownie to go! So we went and when I walked in I could tell they weren't fresh but decided to give it a try because we drove from clearwater beach .... It was dried out and horrible... So if you go and get the brownie make sure it's fresh... Depressing going from that delicious fresh brownie so an old nasty one

Came here for breakfast after walking by on our way to Clear Sky the night before. I can appreciate this place because it is full of healthy options, and caters to gluten free, vegan, health-conscious people. Three cheers for that! They have kiefer, kombucha, smoothies, granola, etc etc. I ended up ordering the sweet potato hash and my date ordered a granola bowl. The granola bowl was pretty good because there were its of toppings and cashew cream. You just can't get a veg a granola bowl like that anywhere. I was pretty disappointed with my sweet potato hash. It almost seemed undercooked with big chunks of onion throughout. I also wasn't asked how I wanted my eggs cooked (didn't think to mention it either), so was disappointed when there were over-hard eggs on top. I think if the eggs were over easy and a bit runny, it could have livened up the flavor of the meal. Other reviews also mention the do bro season food very well and things are quite bland, which is a shame. Healthy food is all about the vibrant spices and there are amazing ways to jazz up a sweet potato hash! They could do better. Would be willing to try it again, but might go with something sweet instead of savory.

Okay, I want to be very fair about this review....so I will state that this place isn't really "the norm" for me. I wanted to see what all the fuss was and the yelp reviews are very positive for this spot, so we visited for lunch Saturday afternoon. We stared at the menu for a while and asked our server to recommend something.....she recommended the burrito, so my date ordered the burrito and I ordered the pizza served on a rice tortilla. Heres the problem, I am fine with no gluten....but we gotta have some flavor here too. Our food was not seasoned, and tasted so plain it was almost impossible to eat. Try to eat a burrito with black beans, potatoes, and eggs without a lick of seasoning....it's not good! The burrito came with ice cold rice on the side. The pizza was hot, but basically just tasted like the artichokes and veggies on it were steamed. No flavor at all. Please please please use some salt and pepper and other seasonings. We need Emerill to come in here and BAM BAM BAM!!

This spot gets points for locals and visitors who are concerned about where there meat comes from and/or ingesting gluten. You leave here feeling full and healthy as if you just consumed a good plate of food. Other pluses: They are owned and operated by locals. Their food tastes better than it should for how healthy it is. Their elixir bar is unique and the have gluten free carbs and baked goods that my gluten free friends say do not make them miss gluten. They even have booze. The negatives: do not go here if you are expecting efficient service or to get in and out. Go there when you have time and patience because you will need it. Servers who have been there since it opened still act like they do not know what is going on and operate in slow motion. They are all very nice and lovely but not fast. This time, it took me 10 minutes to pay for food that I had ordered and WAS READY upon my arrival. They tried to give my order to the person in front of me but when they realized it was mine and I was ready to pay for it, it still took forever to be able to pay. I used to go here often and was just reminded why it has been awhile.

This is my kind of place. If I didn't live 35 minutes away I would be here very often. I had the pancakes with walnuts and banana, the red home fries. The pancakes were amazing. The walnuts and banana added a good touch of flavor. The pancakes had a wonderful texture. ( no dry, gritty, crumbly gluten free pancakes here) the turkey bacon was cooked so perfectly. It was crisp all over. The potatoes were delicious as well. Perfectly cooked. I loved my meal here and I cannot wait to come back.

I am not gluten free, vegan or vegetarian. I have had these foods before though. In my opinion my meal, a burrito with eggs, black beans was tasteless. It was not seasoned at all. The best part of my meal was the Avacado that was placed on top. The rice served on the side was ice cold and, again, tasteless. I don't think there was any salt in anything I had. Gluten free doesn't have to be salt, pepper and other spice free.

The only reason I am giving this place two starts is because of their chai smoothie. Their actual food is completely bland and their chicken tastes as if it had been reheated. I cannot stand the taste of reheated chicken and the taste of unseasoned food. Their customer service is by far the worst! No matter how many times I go there, the girls never greet me. There was one time when I was literally standing in front of the register for 5minutes to pick up my smoothie. One of the girls was at the register ringing up a receipt and did not even bother to greet me. She left the register to help another customer and when she returned I had to say something to her for her to help me. Another reason I cannot stand this place is because of the amounts of time they mess up my boyfriend's order. He always orders their breakfast bowl Togo and there were many times where they do not out rice in his order. I mean, if he never specifies it then why leave something out when it should already come with it? I think the only reason this place is as busy as it is is because people are annoyingly fascinated by gluten free and organic cafes. It's funny how all of a sudden overnight struck and everyone seemed to be allergic to gluten. Last time I remember, only about three or five percent of the U.S. Is allergic to that stuff. I would rather cook the food myself at home. So overall, if you like bland food, reheated chicken, rude customer service, and messed up Togo orders then by all means give this place a shot.

I'm going all in with the stars. We had two meals, my step daughter had bacon and eggs that looked amazing. I had some homemade granola in coconut milk with some kind of maple butter on it. All delicious. The coffee was off the hook. Coconut sugar on the table instead of white sugar and packets of death in pink, blue and yellow. All in it was $21 plus tip. Well worth it to be able to eat without developing a tumor.

I am sorry to say I cannot rate this place high I find the chairs hard , actually left with a back ache Unfortunately the organic coffee was so strong ( I was totally buzzing by the time I left and for some hours). And the chicken sausage was so spicy that I would have labeled it spicy if I was writing the menu...was not expecting spicy, just a regular sausage. (ordered Breakfast Bowl) I could enjoy it more with more respect to the customers shown by all who work there as they seemed preoccupied with themselves when I tried to approach them.. I just now tried to phone Serendipity dialing the phone number on the receipt they gave me yesterday...and the phone number is wrong...the Sun Trust Bank of Dunedin answers... So over all I guess you could say I found my experience, sort of rude, kinda painful and not really that tasty

Healthy food that tastes good! This is a way to indulge while feeling good about yourself. The people who work here are extremely friendly. This is definitely a neighborhood restaurant. People would walk in hug everyone chat a while and then go about their day. It is definitely a small town feel. I got a chocolate banana smoothie and it was delicious. I could taste the healthiness coursing through my veins, while still enjoying the chocolate. The only downside is it is $6 a cup. It is expensive to be this healthy and taste this good. They have a lot of gluten free options (even gluten free beer!). I'm sure they can work with people to make sure the food can be enjoyed by all. There is a good amount of parking around the cafe. Don't blink or you might miss it while driving into Dunedin Downtown!

Food was excellent. Started with the squash soup then penne fresco ended with an orange banana muffin. The only mistake I made was coming in at 2:30 they close at 3pm on Saturday has no idea. Wait staff was not happy from the time I came in. I was treated like a leopard then I saw they close at three. I apologize to the waitress indicating I could go she said no problem. She went on brake her fill in was not happy. I had to beg several times for a refill on my water. And she made me know I was inconveniencing her. If you want good service and food go two hrs before they close. Bad service = 2 stars. But the food was good

Saturday morning, it was pretty busy. Our server was very sweet and friendly. The wait was a bit longer than I liked but the food was super hot when we got it. The OJ was really good! Tasted fresh-squeezed. My husband's omelet was really good. Mine was just ok. I ordered it with onions, tomatoes, and pepper-jack. There were WAY too many onions and the eggs weren't cooked fully. I really can't eat a runny egg so I only ate the edges that were done. The home-fries were great, though! Overall, I would give it another chance if we lived closer. If nothing else, it was nice to not have to worry about being "glutened". I just wish the owner had been more friendly. It seemed like she could tell we weren't locals so we barely got a hello while the other guests were doted upon. They had a menu up for Thanksgiving dinner which looked really great. If we lived there, I would be really tempted to try it! But

Yes, it took me a while to discover this gem but I feel good because I just had my first breakfast there today! I had the two range egg "scrambled omelette" with spinach, feta, and mushrooms, a side fruit cup of bananas and blueberries, the best two strips of turkey bacon I've ever eaten, and a side cornmeal pancake (heavenly light) with real maple syrup! Their organic coffee is so tasty too! I'm going back to try their breakfast bowl with chicken andouille sausage, 2 range eggs and 3 veggies over brown rice...tomorrow! This is gonna be fun because they have 5 types of smoothies that you can add spinach or hemp as a supper shot of health. Healthy wraps and sammies reside on the menu with desserts that only dreams conjure up. They offer a soup of the day that only comes from those same dreams, l.e. Coconut lime w/ quinoa? How about all fresh garden veggie soup, Moroccan spiced chick pea, or an organic tortilla soup. Every Friday, Serendipity After Dark, 5pm-8pm features special menu items to die for. Turkey Meatballs with Veggie Marinara over Herb Spaghetti Squash! Chicken Piccata over Zucchini Pasta! Vegan Banana Tiramisu? Lemon saffron risotto? I kill for a great risotto! I'm going to have a healthy good time trying the rest of the menu for sure. Look them up on Facebook for more info. Did I mention HEALTHY FOOD? Yes, I am totally crazy for this place. The food is healthy, the people are friendly, the atmosphere is warm and casual. What's not to like? I'll be adding to this review for sure!

Found this place for breakfast. I ordered the french toast with peanut butter. Wasn't really my thing. Love the concept and I'm sure other things are good, just didn't like the makeup of the french toast. Would come back and try something else again.

Healthy choice cafe. A great place if you are looking to eat a very healthy but tasty meal. I had a penne, kale, cappers, chicken, and white bean dish. They give me a good size serving. It's a small family cafe with just a few tables and a counter. The food was cooked fresh and to order so it was a bit slow but seemed worth the wait.

Love the Serendipity Cafe. We sat outside on the patio, the staff pointed out the Osprey's and we enjoyed the sunshine. The menu has variety with wide range of choices for Gluten-Free, Organic aficionado's. We decided to go with breakfast even though it was 1pm. We ordered the french toast with bananas, peanut butter syrup and turkey bacon, and the walnut/banana pancakes with blueberry syrup and two free-range eggs on the side. The french toast was great with tasty syrup and the pancakes were very fluffy and accompanied by excellent blueberry syrup. I highly recommend Serendipity Cafe - we will be going there again on our next visit to the area.

AWESOME FOOD and PEOPLE!! We room our 4 year old twins and they were sooo sweet and accommodating to them. Our waitress was actually the owners daughter. She knew the menu well and have us top rate service. We had been looking for that small mom and pop experience and we definitely got it here. I can not say enough good about the place. I had the cornmeal pancakes- delicious and so filling because of the whole ingredients. My kids had the regular pancakes and loved them. My hubby had the granola and wasnt paying attention and I think he thought he was getting a hot cereal like oatmeal but none the less loved it and was very full afterwards. You can tell its good whole ingredients as we all stayed full from that morning until 3 that afternoon! I'm hoping its open tomorrow so we can enjoy it once again on our last day of vacation. Best experience at a cafe- EVER! Super friendly, attentive people and service with incredible food!

brunch - I have been to this cafe several times for lunch and the food- service has always been good. Today, I wanted to have breakfast and was very disappointed w the visit, service and wait times . We arrived before 1030am, we -finally - got our food at 1155... The outdoor patio sits 5 small tables . Indoors are a few tables and counter space- quant really.. The problem was service and no real check in about the wait- moreover a rather snarky remark from the server to another customer about the cook leaving bc of a car- towing issue --Later stating everything is under control, --no offers of refill , get you a muffin or another smoothie while u wait...when the food arrived, The food was ok . Very very small portions, yet tasty. Smoothies are always excellent. At the time of our check , the waitress expressed dissatisfaction w being yelled at.. By ??? Staff? Yet, expressed gratitude with our patience. Next time, I will engage w the service- owner earlier about what the wait time is, if I ever return..

I love Kim and her food! It's a gluten-free home-cooked meal and it's pretty darned tasty. She and her crew make it as fresh and natural as possible while still keeping the price affordable. I am picky about my coffee, so I can't say it my fav, but this chick knows how to make tasty food and smoothies! Keep rockin' it Kim!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this cafe! My friends and I are thrilled to have discovered it and it's now at the top of our list. The quality of the food is top-notch - many organic ingredients, Himalayn salt, coconut palm sugar, tons of fresh veggies, etc. - but the prices are very reasonable. The owner, Kim is extremely knowledgeable about the healing power of food and what healthy ingredients to use in place of processed foods. Her food passion is evident in everything she makes. We loved the family atmosphere of Serendipity and seeing her whole family involved. I had vegan tacos, made with walnuts, which were better than the beef version, along with Kim's coconut lime quinoa soup - out of this world. And what can I say about the chocolate chip cookies made with almond flour?? THE BEST!! I'll be going back again and again!!

Love the concept here. I am not gluten free but had been wanting to try for a while. I'm not eating meat for the month of March so I thought this would be the perfect time to try this place. They appeared to have a good selection of veggie and vegan options. From the reviews it looks like I should have stuck to breakfast, because while our food was decent. It just wasn't what I expected. We ordered the veggie wrap and the veggie pizza both served on the brown rice tortillas, which I really enjoyed. But they were both a little to messy for my liking. I am interested to come back once I am eating meat again because they seem to serve very high quality ingredients, which I really appreciate.

Second time here. First time I ate some sort of frech toast breakfast which was huge and pretty good. Today I had their version of a spinach artichoke pizza and it is surprisingly delicious it tastes like spinach and artichoke dip! Would definitely have this again. Best part it's guilt free.

I wish there were more restaurants like this closer to Tampa - organic, certified gluten free. I had the sweet potato, kale, and avocado hash for breakfast. Large portions, freshly made, and healthy. If I had room for more food I would've ordered a smoothie and some of their baked goods. Definitely worth the drive to Dunedin.

This is one of my favorite lunch spots in the area. It is family run and the food is extremely good quality and prepared fresh when you order. Everything on the menu is good, and you can be sure that what you're eating is wholesome and healthy. They have some really good daily specials, which I usually try. However, the wraps and the pizzas (all gluten free) as well as the kale chips are my favorites.

Jaynes Chicken Jack Wrap was another thumbs up from me. I came in so hungry today and just wanted something light, and that really hit the spot. It had Pepper Jack cheese, fresh spinach , and tomato inside and I love the way they press their wraps here. Hot and a little crispy on the ends. I added a little hot sauce for a little more flavor and kick which made it perfect. It also came with a white bean salad that had little pieces of dill and green onion. I love dill so I was pleasantly surprised. The only complaint I have is that their food needs salt to bring out the flavors of all ingredients a bit more, but they do keep Pink Himalayan Salt handy at the counter if needed, but why do I need to salt every bite myself? It would make the food here so much better. Other than that, I do enjoy eating here because they use fresh healthy ingredients in everything and I always feel good afterwards when I leave, like I did something good for my body. Guilt free:-)

Came here while visiting my mom from San Francisco. I'm all for vacation eating, but nonetheless this was a nice, fresh, healthy treat for us. An order of kale chips for the road provided us with a nice healthy snack option for the rest of the day. Lovely food, lovely people. Not fast, because it's all prepared to order, as it should be.

Delicious, healthy meals and snacks, guilt free. She does great specialty foods if your diet requires, but even if you don't have to eat healthy, it's an easy way to do it. A little pricy but the menu is well thought out and carefully prepared, and the smoothies are delicious. Nice light breakfasts and lunches.

A great way to start our day today! We were all craving some healthy food and stumbled upon this cafe. We are from out of town and we will be back again next time we are in the area. Staff were awesome- lots of positive energy , Danielle rocked. Was a kombucha hater til today.

Oh my goodness. I loved this place. I found it back in December when my husband and I traveled from LA to Florida for vacation. I have Celiacs and am quite sensitive to cross contamination, so when I found out the food was being prepared in a DEDICATED GLUTEN FREE restaurant, I was so excited!! We were only there for two days and went there twice, with a third attempt being made on a day they were closed! The food here was excellent. I had literally the best turkey bacon I've ever had there, and even a wrap was managed to be made to taste good, which is quite a feat. I appreciated that the owner took the time to come out and address another food allergy question. The food and atmosphere here is great, so even if you're not gluten free and just into good tasting, wholesome food, give this place a shot. You won't even notice it's gluten free :)

Holy smokes, this place is good! If you get a chance to eat the tempeh Rubin, don't pass it up. It was scrumptious!

I was amazed that while on vacation, I'd be able to eat worry-free!! Everything on the menu is 100% gluten-free, and all organic! Absolutely delicious, I had a chicken wrap and my husband had an Asian style salad. My husband who is not GF raved about the food! So now we are sitting here for the second day in a row, ready to eat breakfast!! Amazing service, delicious food, and price is very reasonable! Highly recommended!!
