Loved the atmosphere! Has the seafood Mac and Cheese and it was good. :) Our waiter didn't seem very interested in being there and her mind was somewhere else the whole time. Other than that, we loved it!

Tuesday is Ossobuco night! For $11.99 you get s super tender roasted pork shank and two sides. It's so good! I also love the ribs and they have a great deal on Mondays for $10.99 a full rack. I am a local and so I am rarely eating fish sticks if I can get the fresh stuff, BUT their beer battered fish and chips is my exception. It is so good. I had the Prime Rib one Thursday night and it was excellent. Big restaurant and patio. Great place to watch a game. I'm not a drinker, but the bar is impressive.

Went in for a quick bite - we ordered burgers which were flavored well - nice amount of toppings The fries were served cold - but we asked for fresh fries and they brought us two baskets of crisp hot delicious fries The server was friendly so overall it was a good experience

Not the place to go at all! Worst service, went in on Friday night barely anyone was there the service was extremely slow and rude. Will never go back! Food was horrible and over priced!

Great prices, good bang for your buck. Went here 3 times while we were in Destiny. Great local place.

My wife, son, and I ate here not long ago for dinner...pretty sure our waitress was stoned out of her mind on some sort of pills. REALLY awkward. Definitely NOT family friendly. If you're into millions of big screen TV's with sports blaring and super greasy bar food that probably tastes edible after knocking a few back - proceed with caution. Otherwise, avoid like the plague.

The beer selection is great. They have an amazing after hours happy hour deal (10 pm - close). They have some kind of deal for any kind of day and time. The zingers (aka chicken fingers) are delicious. I had the Cajun chicken pasta and it was amazing. Fries are good. They have tv's all over the place and there is a large outdoor seating area as well. Yes, it does get crowded for dinner (big shocker!) But overall the service is good

Millers Ale House is a great place to go after you are done shopping in the Destin area. I have a great time everytime I come up here. This time I went to the Ale house I split the steak with a potato and broc. It was really really good, I was surprised at how well they cooked the steak, normally at an Ale house I don't order a steak but that's what my mother wanted, and I was pleasantly surprised. The girl that delivered the food was very nice, she actually stood there and waited for us to cut into the steaks while she was still there(she offered, wow!) There really are nice people left in the world, it's a miracle! Nevertheless the rest of the staff wasn't so nice, there was bartender outside that was pretty rude when we sat down and it was too hot outside anyways. It was hot inside as well, they really should get their ac fixed that's all i'm saying.

Great place to go for dinner with the family. My husband ordered the ribs and salad and loved them! I ordered the 35 shrimp... And they were fantastic! We all ate shrimp! My kids ordered mini burgers and chicken tenders- which had 4 large strips. Kids meal come with an ice cream sandwich too! A pitcher of bud light was $6 and the ice cream cake desert was delisious. Our bill was under $50 + tip. The kids want to go back just to see our server Alex! We go every year!!

Applebee's has a better beer list and White Castle has better food. It's clean, and that's about the best I can say for this place. Is this a chain? God help them if it isn't, but this place is definitely terrible. PS: Worst fu#%|$& music selection evar!

A waste of $35 My husband, son and I came to eat at Millers for the first time today. The salad consisted of slimy lettuce and greens. The wings were tough and the burger tasted so bad my husband couldn't eat but a few bites. Even though we are next to nothing on our plates, our waitress did not offer to take anything off the bill. We will never eat here again and strongly suggest you don't either.

In town on business and stopped in for dinner with a large group. The staff was able to accommodate our party and the service was very, very good. I had the 12oz rib eye with a salad. The salad was large, the dressing was good and the potato was huge, my only real complaint was the steak. The steak was cooked to perfection but was a horrible cut. A 12oz steak should not be 4-5oz of fat. If you have to cut a third of your steak away there might be a problem. I know rib eyes tend to be fatty but this was borderline unacceptable. Still, i do recommend stopping in, the steak was cooked perfectly just was an unacceptable cut. Everything else was excellent and my party had a great time...

It was fight night, so I had I guess I can excuse the service. Table of 8 +baby sat around long enough without a waiter to know everything we wanted to order. Drinks, appetizers and entrees. I'll just stick to the basics. - if you like calamari, order the appetizer ask for extra sauce. - loaded nachos.. avoid it - pot stickers yummy - their Saturday dinner special, steak and a side of shrimp in some sort of butter sauce. the butter sauce is amaze balls.. i dipped everything I could in it. - bistro steak salad.. mehh - Cajun chicken pasta, bland. - ribs and loaded potatoes finger lickin. - seafood medley pasta, subbed with Alfredo sauce - chicken cheesesteak with yummy sweet potato fries probably better out look if service was better, food was pretty good though.

First off, this place is basically a sports bar and has a huge beer menu and two large bars. Anyone complaining about it not being family friendly ought to know better. Seriously, go to McDonald's. Otherwise, it's a great place to have some drinks and good food. I had some of the best jambalaya I've ever had in my life, and my wife ordered a chicken tender app that was hand breaded fresh cut tenders and not something out of a box/bag like you get at Buffalo Wild Wings. Our service was good and quick and I would definitely go back.

  • Jennise V.

The beer was killer!!! My filet mignon was great, as well as the sides. The low rating comes from my fiancé's food. He ordered his steak cooked medium... As he cut into the edges, it was fine.. but the closer he got to the t-bone, the more raw the meat became. The center of his steak was bloody red & nearly as raw as the cut was coming off of the cow!! I had to tell him not to eat it because I didn't want him to contact a parasite from the raw meat. We showed the waitress & she didn't even take anything off the bill or try to correct the problem.

We went for appetizers and drinks also to watch the Kentucky Derby this is are local place to go when special events are on TV or enjoy a good dinner and hang out in the outside dining . They stop the music playing for the derby run which we thought was awesome! Very friendly staff one of our local favorites to bring guest as well.

Had great service from Ashley tonight!y husband loved the seafood Mac n cheese, I had the prime rib dip and it was great! Prices were very reasonable! Would definately go back!

Horrible service. Waited 10 minutes for a server to arrive at our table. Staff is rude and condescending. Whatever is listed on the menu is "unavailable".

  • Jennifer I.

Had no problems with the food, beverage or service here. We showed up on a playoff game day for the NFL, and they were able to seat us quickly at a nice, large booth. Our server was friendly and took pretty good care of us. She did forget a beverage or two, but with a big group, that's to be expected. I ordered "The Big Red," which is essentially a buffalo chicken sandwich. It was HUGE, and delicious! I couldn't finish the whole thing. The french fries were also good, and the dish came with a dill pickle. The perfect finish to any dish.

  • Julie D.

Either I was incredibly hungry or this place is fairly good. I really enjoyed my late lunch here. We got a booth by the window. BJ had a couple SeaDog Wild Blue pints. I had water. For our meals, BJ got fish & chips. I got a basic burger with onion rings. Not exactly a gourmet meal, but not a bad bar type place.

  • Frank G.

Lots of good booze, lots of good TVs, food fit only for drunk people.

    (3)
  • Brian P.

Tons of draft beer selections. TVs everywhere to watch the game. We really enjoyed eating outside by the second bar. My family enjoyed a burger, chicken cheesesteak, and fried clam poor boy. Food and service were both good. Many IPA selections. Unfortunately only one Porter on tap and the only Stout was Guinness. I was hoping for other Stouts.

  • Bob B.

On our last trip we got the rib special. The ribs were very tender but there was no smoke ring - the cooks must boil them. Most of the BBQ taste comes from the sauce. This is our second trip this year. The first trip we saw the rib special but got something else. The food is generally OK. The outdoor seating is a good idea except that they allow smoking outside, and the odor from the smoke permeates everything (except the ribs). .

Wow...this place was great! I have avoided it based on other reviews, but my wife tried it recently with friends and she said it was great, so we went last night. It was clean. The staff was super friendly and efficient, from the hostess who sat us to our waiter and the girl who brought out our food. And the food was excellent! I had jambalaya and it was wonderful. My wife had a burger and loved it. The place was one of the cleanest restaurants I have ever seen. The value was also very good. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. We will be back often!

My boyfriend is from Florida so he was very excited to dine at Ale House again on our recent trip to Destin. Wow, were we disappointed. We arrived into town very late and we were starved. Ale House was two blocks from the hotel so it was a no-brainer. We arrived around 10:40pm and although there were patrons in the restaurant, there was no sign of a hostess anywhere. We walked outside and sat at the bar, hoping to get service. The bartender's service from start to finish was pretty poor; he ignored us several times and was instead more focused on joking with the obnoxious group a few chairs from us, whom we later found out were Ale House employees on their day off. The food is pretty terrible. I tried a couple pieces of my boyfriend's wings and had the steak salad for myself. The wings were very salty, fatty, and lacked any other flavor. The steak salad was a mix of poorly arranged ingredients on a bed of iceberg topped with well-done steak tossed in A-1. Yes, seriously. This place reminds me of a place for college students--really big portions, not so good food, and lots of obnoxious young drunks. Perhaps this was my boyfriend's appeal back in the day, but if you can afford to take your money elsewhere, I would highly recommend doing so.

First time here and came on a recommendation. Lots of beers on tap. 2 of our group got the 35 shrimp platters and were pleased. I had the steak quesadilla and they were very good. My wife got the Zingers (chicken tenders) special and she enjoyed it. Server attentive. Would recommend based upon our experience.

    (4)
  • Ryan S.

Went there last night and got the baby back ribs special. The ribs were crazy tender which is a huge plus. They have a good selection of craft beer which is another huge plus in my eyes. I will be going back.

  • Shawn P.

We are not here to eat. We came for beer. Being from Houston where the beer movement is a long time running, we wanted some craft. I read the reviews and I have had a completely different experience. We were greeted at the door with a smile and sat at the bar. Megan, the bartender, was very knowledgeable about the beer selection and very friendly. I always ask the locals about where they go to eat and Megan was full of ideas. Very happy with our experience here.

    (5)
  • Ashleigh D.

The food was not that great, but the menu is very extensive so there has to be something on there that is good. It also does turn into a dance club at night, but there wasn't a lot of people there when I went. The best part was the fact that it was ladies night (Wednesday nights) and I got to drink for free! But overall, not that great of an experience.

    (2)
  • Travis D.

Great beer sampler and selections of beers. Plenty if TVs, great to watch sports. Food pretty good, honey mustard wings and zingers satisfied.

    (4)
  • Aleha A.

The zingers here are better than any boneless wing I've ever come across. So delicious! Lots of TVs with every game on. Our server was great too. Only reason it's not 5 stars is bad acoustics and typical sports bar atmosphere. So noisy in here and the room isn't filled.

    (4)
  • Shem E.

Always a good time, great food, awesome beer selection, and only place you can watch live boxing on TV

    (4)
  • Will H.

Food was average and the beer menu was not really craft oriented. We did get to watch the game. I'd go back for another game but that's about it .

    (3)
  • Cara J.

We really enjoyed our visit here! They had a great selection of beers on tap. The bartender forgot about our order but she was new and overwhelmed a bit so we didn't hold that against her. Food was very good though!

    (4)
  • Jeff G.

My 3rd time here in as many months. Maybe the best place in the Destin area to watch the game. The nachos are enormous! Better have 5 plus friends to help eat this app . Nice fireplace area on the enclosed patio. Friendly service.

  • Michael C.

I'm sorry, the waitress we had on the night of 10-15-2014 was horrible! The food was ok but not great. The prices were great but you get what you paid for!

    (1)
  • Emily T.

After reading the most recent reviews I was skeptical about eating here. But it was GOOD. My hubs had the full rack of ribs and they were falling off the bone and meaty. I had the calamari which were in a yummy sweet tai sauce. Our waitress was very nice and polite! All in all a good experience and If we were locals we would continue to dine here.

    (4)
  • Brett E.

Decent service but we did have a large group. Food was mediocre. Burger was a bland and obviously a frozen patty. Looks like a better ale house than a place for dinner.

    (2)
  • Dustin B.

Decent, at best... It was very convenient because of the late hours. However, there are too many better choices in the Destin area... Experience some of the local places!

  • Scott B.

Disclaimer: I went here half drunk, so this might've skewed my review. Who knows? Now, what I do know is the following: The beer specials on this particular evening were ridiculously cheap. The steak sandwich that I was extremely apprehensive to order, until the server highly recommended it, was actually damn good. The shrimp app. Yep, this was surprisingly tasty as well. What I also know: I was really drunk and getting beligerent with some other patrons while watching some of the games. Appropriately, wifey got me out the door just in time. I will return next year when I visit Destin again. We'll see if it's still 5 stars when I'm sober.

    (5)
  • Melissa F.

Yuck! This is the worst food we've eaten in the destin area in 9 months of living here. Kids wouldn't even eat the French fries. Salad was mostly iceberg. Steak was inconsistently cooked. The zingers tasted like they came from the grocery store. Chilis would have been a better choice.

This place is a sports bar with run of the mill everything. If you live within walking distance, maybe you should check it out (if you're bored). Salient low-lights follow: - For a restaurant that includes "Ale" in their name, you'd expect them to serve at least two India Pale Ales -- nope. - If you're still into smoking Don Draper, this place is for you -- as smoking is still allowed in the "open air" bar/dining area. - After sampling the only IPA available (draft/bottled), I circled the bar to peruse the draft handles and see what else was available. As I suspected, there was at least a 25% variance between what was on the menu and what was actually on tap. If you can't afford to update your menu, at least provide an addendum or educate your wait staff on what you're serving this week (see next bullet below). - After ordering one of the draft beers that I located on my quick reconnaissance mission, the waiter informed me that they did not serve that beer. I had to direct him to the bar to verify that I was correct. - I had to finish shucking 3 of the 6 oysters I ordered and wasn't offered Tabasco sauce. - My wife's iceberg lettuce salad was most certainly a perfect random sample of lettuce parts, vs. a preferred portion of carefully selected choice greens - Apparently blackened chicken means chicken with select grill marks on it. Sometimes. - Can a honky get a "How is everything?" just once during the meal? - Had to steal flatware and napkins from another table in order to eat our meal. - How is a bar napkin not standard when serving a drink? Especially when every time your server brings over your drink he spills generous portions onto the table? - There are a lot of TVs and people with walkie talkies. I'm not even sure what that means.

Extensive menu. Had the Chicken Parmesan and it wasn't bad. Came with a big group so it's hard to comment on service but had trouble getting refills and one of my party ordered a Coke and they brought a Pepsi, saying they didn't have Coke. Otherwise, service was on par. Overall, an average place to eat. Have to think of it as more of a bar scene. Drinks next time maybe?

    (3)
  • DeFuniak F.

Consistent, consistent, consistently bad service. Everytime I think it is getting better, they fail me. Three tries for what is mediocre food, but a poor server experience. This appears to only be an issue in Destin. The one in Pensacola is fantastic and scores a solid four each and every time I visit.

    (1)
  • Marc P.

Thought it was pretty funny we came here during the presidential election. Beer selection was decent and it had normal bar food. It was never too packed and our group of 3 were definitely the only ones closing the bar.

I hope that the owners/managers of this establishment read and take these reviews back to staff and reflect on them. I will be the first to say that I am no chef or restaurant owner, so I don't know the stress or work that it takes to run a place like this in a high tourist location. The first thing I would say is...this place has SO MUCH POTENTIAL. I mean, wow, the location and the atmosphere inside the place is excellent. A huge open-air bar/dining area and more TV's than I've ever seen in a restaurant for watching sports. And there are like 70-80 beers on tap! Upon reading other reviews and doing some research, I find that other Miller's Ale House places are getting much higher ratings. Such as the life of a chain restaurant. You can afford to be sub-par because you have other more successful places around the country to support the fallen or falling. I will say that my fish tacos were awesome! This was by far the best dish at the table. The others, ordered the crab leg and lobster special and this was a mistake. Long, long wait and the lobster was rubbery and cold. I really think this place is awesome for locals, bar food, and beer. And if you drink enough, the lobster won't be rubbery.

    (2)
  • Ted B.

Not a bad sports bar. The only reason give only three stars is that when were were waiting for a table for four, the staff allows a teen-aged looking patron to hog a booth by ordering just a soda and sit there for something like two hours. C'mon man. It was pretty obvious he was just there to see the Silva-Weidman rematch and not really order anything. He just sat there with his soda, ordering no food and no refill and no one was joining him, while a two couples had to stand for over an hour. That is not good customer service, as they should have been gently trying to nudge him out by asking if he wanted anything else and if not, bringing the check and then saying "I'll ring this up for you." The food is actually pretty good and they have a pretty wide draft beer selection. Tons of TVs, so you are unlikely to miss the game and they are open later than many other local establishments, so it might be a good option for late night dining.

  • Lydia G.

We've eaten here three times now, and I have to say, I really appreciate their consistency. The food is always mediocre and the service is always maddeningly slow. Interestingly, we've always ordered a dessert to go at the end of dinner, and every time we get a mystery dessert instead of the one we ordered. On the plus side, the mystery dessert is still tasty, and the waitresses have all been friendly.

Well being a local you would think I would learn my lesson. The last 3 times we have gone to Miller's it has been CRAP. Lousy food .. How in the world do you serve an OLD baked potato at 5:30 in the early evening . I sent it back 3 times tonight only to get one that was microwaved and the outside was hard as a rock.. There were 4 of us and 3 of us did not like our dinners and we each had something different. The same thing happened in our Sept & Oct visits to Miller's. OVER IT. I would not recommend this place at all. They use to be wonderful so I am not sure what is happening there..

Where is the ale??? Horrible service, good food. For an establishment to be called Miller's Alehouse, I expected a wide variety of ales. Alas, most of the beers on tap were the typical macro-brews seen at virtually any bar across America. To buy time for the bussers to clean and reset the table where we were going to be seated, the host decided to advertise the happy hour specials. Unfortunately, once we were actually seated, those specials advertised to us were not honored by the waiter because happy hour had ended only a few minutes earlier. I ordered one of the very few ales offered on the menu, only to discover that they had run out (surprise!). My girlfriend ordered a mixed drink that ended up tasting awful (the waiter claimed that the bartender was new, inexperienced and dumb... Not appropriate for the waiter to be telling us that). The good news is that the kitchen has their act together. The food was very tasty. I recommend the zingers.

I came here visiting destin. I was in need of a really good dinner, and decided to stop here. The lobster bisque was DELICIOUS!! For my entree, I had the snow crab, my all time favorite. The crab was dry and I had some legs without any meat. It was crazy! The dinner was cheap, but I know why. The apple crisp dessert was delicious! I'm not sure why the appetizer and dessert was so good, and the entree was awful. Do not waste your time or money eating here. There are much better places.

    (2)
  • Jay J.

This is a sports bar, in the truest sense of the word. The food is about what you would expect (OK), but they have a huge beer selection, great drink specials, and TV's literally everywhere. I repeat, *everywhere*. Sadly, the draft selection is primarily macro brews, but its still one of the best in town. Perfect place for games.

    (4)
  • Sue T.

My husband and I ate here for lunch, had never heard of it but decided to give it a try. We were really glad we did. Lunch specials and drink specials were great. Food was really good and priced well. Decided to try dinner there a few nights later and once again we were very pleased. Service was really good both times as well. Will definitely visit again on our next trip to Destin!

  • Jane H.

The only thing this sports bar has going for it is the number of TVs in the place. I've given it three opportunities to at least convince me it's worth coming back to, and nada. Strike three - they are definitely off my list. I sat at the bar each time - the service was terrible and had to wait a stupid long time just to get my first drink. Then my water glass sat empty for my entire visit (a football game!), and I had to get one of the server's attention just to place an order for food. The food is just BLAH and completely unremarkable. Didn't think I could go wrong with a grilled fish sandwich - we're talking a place on the GULF COAST right?! How wrong I was - the fish looked and tasted like it had been of the frozen variety, there was a wilted piece of letttuce, one slice of tomato and a dill pickle that I think was bigger than the piece of fish. I could count the number of fries that came with it, a flat amount on the plate. Don't waste your time or money on this place. Try the Crazy Lobster at HarborWalk or Murphy's - where the TVs are also plentiful and so is the food. Great service at either establishment. I can't understand how or why Miller's Ale House stays in business.

  • Aileen P.

Good food and good service...not as many beers as you would think. When we asked for what beers they had they said what didn't they have.....well about 4 beers guesses later we settled on corona light. So for it to be an ale house it really doesn't have many beers especially compared to somewhere like taco mac or even Busters but overall decent food. I would definately recommend the mahi piccata.

  • Tim F.

I was very disappointed with this establishment when I accidentally left my AmEx credit card on our table when we left only to find out that an unauthorized and illegal charge had been made to our card soon after we had left. In my conversations with management over the next couple of days I was told that our waiter had fraudulently used my AmEx and that he had been terminated. The manager offered a gift certificate the next time we came in or he would mail it to me. This incident happened in September and we have not been back due to our schedules nor have I heard anything more from management. I suppose this is a forgotten issue with the management of Miller's Ale House.

If you are looking for somewhere to enjoy dinner, I would go elsewhere. If you want to get some drinks, it's a great hang out. I have been here several times, and have to say that the couple times I ordered food, it definitely is something I wouldn't bother getting again. The mozzerella sticks I figured would be safe, but I was wrong. They tasted like the oil in the fryers hasn't been changed since they opened, and they walked around the whole bar asking people "these yours" before eventually getting to us. The waitstaff doesn't seem all that good, and there are more managers with earpieces running around than seems there should (especially given the lackluster service). On to the good. PBR cans are only $2, and they have a great selection of draft beers which is nice. As mentioned, they have TVs on just about every flat surface which is great if you wanna hang out and drink, but again, not somewhere I would ever want to "dine". I will certainly be back for the drinks, and if I get drunk enough, I may give the food another go, but I'd rather eat at whataburger.

My husband and I thought that we'd give this place a try since it always seemed busy. We went in and ordered our food and waited for a pretty long time considering that the place was basically empty. I ordered the queso and chicken fingers (both of which were horrible). The queso tasted like beef and nothing like cheese at all. The chicken fingers were supposed to be lightly breaded , but they were heavily battered instead and fried for way too long. I will not eat here again, and I'll be telling others to avoid it as well.

This place was right around the corner from where we were staying and the ladies in the hotel ofc recommended it. My hubby and son got the fish and chips and really enjoyed them. My other sons got the loaded cheese fries (ok) and the steak sandwich (really good!). I got the fish tacos and they were delish with big chunks of mahi mahi in them! It was super noisy because the NCAA national championship was on and there were lots of fans there. Not a place for a quiet dinner, but great if you're up for a pretty decent meal and lots of activity!

Food and service is good in general. watch out for the burnt sweet potato fries. Will return.

Just left this place after waiting about 20 minutes just to order. This is the second time I experienced terrible service here. I will not be back. You'll be better off enjoying one of the thousands of amazing restaurants in Destin before walking into this trap.

  • Scott M.

Had the Zingers as an appetizer and they were good to great, too bad my girl doesn't like spicy or they would be great! She got the blackened chicken quesadilla which was humongous and i got the cheeseburger flatbread. I was jealous of hers. The only thing is, is that hers wasn't blackened. Idk why they used that word anyways, the quesadilla had more color than the chicken, it was brown from being toasted. We were trying diff places while we were down there but it was Really good. I wanted to go again but couldn't with so many other choices. Hopefully we'll be back soon.

Nice patio to go have a few beers and watch a game. Food is decent, but nothing exciting.

    (3)
  • Bonita D.

The food wasn't seasoned well, especially the white fish on the seafood platter and in the fish and chip dish.

  • Bob B.

For a big sports bar chain, I like the predictability. Ice cold beer, huge tap selection. This location has a really nice indoor/outdoor room, making it somewhat unique for Millers.

    (4)
  • Steve P.

Good food, drinks, and service. Large portions and regular prices. Lots of TVs, too, and a semi-outdoor bar area. Definitely worth a visit!
