I've been going to this location for over ten years, but today was my last visit. Walked in a little after 10:30, and the manager was yelling at everyone to cleanup faster. I had to wait in line with other visitors while an employee swept the floor because some manager thinks that is more important for her to leave on time, then take our order 90 minutes before closing. Then after waiting forever to have my order taken, they make my meal, and then leave it on the counter why the manager chews everyone out over not cleaning fast enough again!! The food is always good, who doesnt like rice and beens and grilled chicken. BUT the service here is TERRIBLE and everytime I come in here i always have to wait 15-20 mins to get my food, its rediculous!

This is an observation I have done and deem it should be shared. I have noticed a big variance in the amount of food received from when I order inside versus the drive thru. It seems the drive thru servings are very skimpy. I've purposely varied it to see if it was just a 1 time incident and this is not the case. I have done this comparison at a few locations as well and they ALL have the same variance. I have been missing food many times using the drive thru and yes it blows to have to go back! I get charged for more sauces in the drive thru if it's more than what they have allotted. Inside, I may get any number of self served sauces. Why the Extra Charge please??? I'm writing this to alert others and hoping a Regional Mgr may read this and look into this please. The food is honestly delicious at all I have been to. Chicken is not cheap and I appreciate the prices being charged.

Yesterday, I had very little time to get something to eat and go to my destination. Driving on Davie at five is a nightmare so I decided to settle on the first thing I could find. Sadly, that was a terrible idea. There seemed to be someone training on register so I tried to speak slowly and be patient but it still took at least five minutes to place my order and wait for my food. Unfortunately this gave me time to look around at the place and to be honest, it's the dirtiest Pollo Tropical I have ever encountered. The walls have dust clinging to the side, the station where employees get the items was messy with food and there was filth everywhere. I thought I'd get a refund but there was a longer line and I figured it would take way too long for the trainee to refund me so I just made a mental note. It took another 10 minutes for me to finally get my food and luckily I peeked into the bag because there weren't any napkins or cutlery so I picked those up. Right out of the corner of my eye as I was leaving I witnessed an employee remove a piece of chicken from a man's plate, put it on the rack with the others and select a new piece...No! Just no! The soup I ordered was alright, but the meal wasn't. One look into the contents revealed a nasty hair, right on top of my rice. I returned for a refund and the cashier gave it to me after five minutes of confusion. I don't think I'll ever return to this location.

Grilled chicken quesadilla wraps. Mm and the chipotle mayo sauce they put in it can't be replicated anywhere else. You go in and pay $3 for one of these wraps and you just fall in love. It's cheap, quick, and convenient. In terms of fast food quality, this place has a good a balance based on the price you paid. I've only had the quesadilla wrap and that sauce just makes it for me. I'll have to try more and update this review once I do.

Very poor drive thru service!!!! You would think that the people who work there are paying us to SPEND OUR money there! I can count on one hand the amount of times I order food using the drive thru service and actually got good pleasant customer service. On a positive note....the food is very good....which is the only reason I still go.

The owners of this place need to clean house! This place is only good because of the food. I watched the cashier sit on his phone texting as I stood there waiting to order.... Then, he finally said "yes mami, whas u like to order?"..... Ummm what? First of all.... Not your mami! Ugh.... What happened to training ppl to "act right". I watched someone return a piece of chicken asking to cook it more.... But the employee put his piece back in the pile of chicken and took a new piece. Ummm yuk.... The guy already touched it..... So not sanitary. Then I watched someone come in from the drive through and told them her order was missing things. Another employee grabbed her bag and filled it up with the missing items.... Didn't even look at her. Didn't apologize for the inconvenience ....he just handed her the bag and turned around like he was annoyed with her. I then asked them (the 3 employees who were representing this store).... Do u hate your job.... One responded YES! Mo was blown away. It may not be the best job in the world..... But it's a job! So ungrateful! I know many people looking for a job....they should be replaced with ppl more deserving! Ugh! And to top it off..... I left my drink there after paying for it. I wanted to leave so bad I just grabbed my food and ran. Sad when u would rather lose $ and leave your drink then deal with bad energy.

I love the tropi chops but I've been there twice this week and each time the drive through has been more than 15 minutes. They have a really inefficient drive through it seems like like same person take the orders and gets your food together which is probably why it takes so long. Food is fresh but not the place to go If your looking for something quick

This is the most disgusting place you can go to have a meal in Davie. I ordered food from here recently and it was gross. The tostones were hard as a rock very greasy and crunchy like crackers. The beans were disgusting the rice was hard. And to make it worse the cashier put my food in a bag that looked like it had been used before. This is definitely a place to avoid.

There was argument between the staff and a customer when I was lining up to order... thought I was gonna get shot in the crossfire but luckily nobody pulled out their piece and it resolved itself. My wife lived in Florida for a few years and has been hyping up Pollo Tropical for so long, I had high hopes.. and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. It's like the Florida Swiss Chalet, only more ghetto, and way tastier. Flame broiled chicken with Island flavours, and the rice n beans, as well as friend plantains were very delicious. Above all, food was super cheap. You can score a quarter chicken with rice/beans, a drink and a bun, for something like $4. Add another side for $1. That would be like $8-$9 in Canada. Yeah, the locals tell me it's not "super authentic".. but guess what.. it's still super tasty.

Caribbean food is good. But Caribbean fast food is what it is: fast food. It definitely does not deserve 5 stars. It lacks flavor, and the staff is awful. I ordered the Tropichop with chicken, rice, black beans, and onions. It was so blend that drinking water excites my taste buds more than the tropichop did. Meh. While at the drive-thru, the lady who took my order was so rude. When I got to the window, she kept taking orders and was confusing me AND the person ordering behind me as she was talking to both of us simultaneously. She got angry at both of us and kept saying "not you," "not you!" UGH. If you want blend rice, tasteless chicken and beans, please, by all means... feel free to visit this restaurant.

Very good food for fast food. There are actually a good amount of healthy options here especially if you stay away from the fried options (even though they are so very good). Don't forget your unlimited sauce (I recommend the curry mustard and garlic sauce) but keep in mind those pack quite a few calories if you are trying to be healthier.

I've visited this location more frequently than any other due to the fact I lived in the area... But, Pollo Tropical in general, no matter which location (well except for 199th and 27th ave) is always always consistently good... Even on a bad night, they still was good, and I would give them 10 stars if I could, especially since I moved out of South Florida and can only access the food occasionally when in town.. :( Boy, you never miss a good thing until its gone...

This Pollo Tropical has the worst service ever. We went through the drive thru and the lady that was taking the orders was impatient and rude. Gina was her name and she supposedly is the manager of the place. She had an attitude from the gecko and rushed us with our order and when we were not clear what she was asking, she just ignored us and told us to drive around. When we got the the window, they gave us the food and immediately closed the window. They didn't even give us a chance to ask for any condiments. We had to wait 5 mins before Gina came to the window and from her facial expressions I can tell her life really sucks. I felt bad for her and I was courtesy to her the whole time. I apologize and asked her for some condiments for my food and even ended my sentence with ma'am, but that didn't faze her. She not only didn't ask what type we wanted, she just gave us salsa and slammed the window again. We then had to knock on the window again and asked her for the specific sauces we wanted. When asked for her name she told us her name was Jenny. She obviously has something to hide bc we asked another employee for her name and that's when they told us her name is Gina and not Jenny.

I wasn't sure i should even post a review until i visited this website and realized that im not just being 'one of those customers. the service here is lousy i was the only one there and one of the workers that was standing there didn't acknowledge me. she finally greeted me and she seemed nice. she asked me what would i like to order and i said very clearly tropichop large with yellow rice chicken and corn as i was getting sauces i noticed my order was just sitting there they didn't tell me it was ready as a matter of fact they were sitting there playing on the phone while the manager was passing by not saying anything about their unprofessional antics. so anyway i get home and despite the service i was looking forward to a satisfying meal and why am i not surprised NO CORN!!! just chicken and rice and the chicken wasn't chopped well. bottom line no one cares and thats always a reflection of poor management. i am not writing this review to destroy this places reputation i just wanted to warn others about my experience and hopeing they dont have to go through it.

this chain needs to be everywhere. where i live, i have my option of 748 different peruvian chicken stands. where people from el salvador cook chicken. but this is the one that i crave. and this is the location that i get to visit when i travel to see family several times a year. this fast food place just gets it exactly right every single time. the tropichop platter--chopped chicken, beans and rice, ordered with an extra side of plantains is just perfect. dirt cheap strangely sanitary way yummy.

Check the contents of your bag before you leave the carry out window as they forgot our large plantains and we had to go back!
