This was my first time ordering from this new local restaurant. I was somewhat nervous to try it since I've been a long time customer of Hunan Wok in Dania Beach but I live in the area and my travels did not take me near Dania Beach today, but the family was craving Chinese. Great customer service and food was ready in under ten minutes. I ordered boneless spare ribs and they mistakenly made bone in spareribs. The gentleman at the counter offered to remake the item. Food quality and taste was excellent. Fried rice and egg rolls were great. I will tell my neighbors and friends in the area. This place will become my go to Chinese place. Thank you Lucky Star.

Stumbled upon this while searching for something close. Ordered a family meal so price was good for the amount of food. Was very tasty and fast too. Will be back for sure!

We were looking for a different Chinese delivery place and stumbled on Lucky Star while searching. Most Chinese places in this area typically serve bland and greasy product. Lucky Star was a pleasant surprise. We ordered the family special which had quite a variety of appetizers and entrees to sample from. The lo mein was flavorful and NOT slimy like most other places. Even down to the sweet and sour sauce for crab rangoon was tangy and tasty. Other places give you a bowl of red colored syrup instead. Oh, and there was some crab actually in the rangoon, not just globs of cream cheese. We ordered everything fast and easy from their web portal. Delivery arrived right about 45 minutes after ordering. The website does mention to allow at least 50 to 60 minutes for delivery. Oh, and if you happen to be a fan of fresh made spicy mustard (not that fake stuff in the packet) ask for a tub of it in your order. I did and it was some of the best I've ever tasted. HOT! Not for the squeamish. I hope the quality stays this way. We have been through so many bad Chinese places in this area that this was a refreshing change!

Oh my god!! The pan fried dumplings are a life changing experience. It makes me mad at all the others. Get 'Em. You'll Thank me. $4.50 / 7 I initially ordered on New Years Eve and although a little later than expected, it was sooo worth the wait. This place does not skimp on the quality and yet gives huge servings. The Family Special is an excellent intro for easy comparisons to your never-again standards. I feel like I'm gushing, but seriously, I haven't had Chinese Delivery this good ever. I hope they can keep this up.

I came here today because my boyfriend was craving Chinese food and we wanted to try something new in the area, based on the reviews we decided to try it out. Unfortunately it wasn't that great, everything was given in take out boxes even though we dined in and the pork fried rice didn't even have vegetables, it was extremely bland. The wonton soup dumplings were stale and the orange chicken was not good at all. I probably won't come back.

New establishment. Clean, food is very tasty and cooks are visible to the customer. The food prep areas looked very clean and tidy. Food is served on plastic ware and I could have used a soup spoon for the soup. I would say this would be a good take out restaurant or Chinese delivery. There appears to be a wide assortment of lunch specials. I had one of my favorites, double cooked pork. Very good and will try again.

Had our first dinner from them tonight and I'll say this was the best Chinese restaurant we've gotten take out from in a long time

Great little take out place, they opened about 1 week ago. I ordered the happy family, shrimp with vegetables, pan fried dumplings & eggrolls.. The dinner combos also come with rice & soup.. Food was fresh and tasty.. Prices are reasonable....

The food is OK, but the service ranges from indifferent to downright HOSTILE. The last time was the last straw. When I came to pick up my order, the person at the counter was super annoyed that I made her get out of her chair, as she was CATATONICALLY immersed in her cell phone. She screams out the price at me, takes my money, throws my change back at me and plops her butt right back into the chair that I so rudely detached her from, never once looking up from her phone. I am used to rude/indifferent service from them, (do they ever read these reviews? No.) but this is the first time they were actually hostile towards me. Oddly enough, the delivery guys are SUPER nice! So if I'm ever desperate enough for their food again, I guess I have to have it delivered. But why patronize a business that treats their customers with all the love and care of a loan shark? Kanton Kanton is a half a mile down the road, so..... Too bad, because I eagerly awaited their arrival and I was one of their first customers, but the CONSISTENTLY rude service is a deal breaker.

Fast ,efficient delivery. Great moo goo gai pan, chicken with broccoli, and all the breaded, fried dishes up to par with other good chinese places. I ask for no mushrooms and they dont mind doing that. Only chinese place we will get delivery from now.

This was the first time I ordered from here. Placed the order online and it was ready when I Arrived. Very fresh. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, pork fried rice and the wonton soup. We needed more sauce but we enjoyed our meal. Prices are average. We will order from Lucky Star again.

Best Chinese food in Broward County. Excellent consistency and great quality. The orange and general tsaos chicken are some of my favorites.

Counter staff gave me my eat in combo and I could see it was obviously egg drop soup. I said to her very politely that I ordered wanton. She said no you ordered egg drop. I said no I ordered wanton. This went on for three iterations. It was almost comical. For gawd a sake I didn't touch the soup. It wasn't even near me. Just ladel me some wanton soup. I really felt dumb cause I'd given a tip with my debit card counter order. The taste of the food was not terrible. High marks for comical interaction at the counter.

Edible that's it.... Spring roll was flavorless and fell apart, Crab Rangoon - tasted like cream cheese only, the Special/House Lo mien was flavorless with very little meat, noodles were way overcooked, Special/House Fried Rice had more peas and carrots than meat. My family doused everything with soy sauce to try and give it flavor. We were fans of China Town next door, hoping they had the same cooking skills... Clearly they do not... The delivery guy was very nice... We may try one more time as a eat in, not sure yet....

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
