So, I just got the Mexi-Can badge on Yelp, so obviously, I'm an expert. This place was great!! I love the atmosphere on this little corner.. The colors, the mismatched chairs, surfboard tables, umbrellas, and trees. It's all so cute and inviting. You walk up to the window to place your order and are greeted by a friendly server. You have all the common taco/burrito/salad choices and beverages include soft drinks, shakes, wine and beer. We had the tubular tacos, chicken baja bowl (no shell), and a vanilla shake. Everything was ready in a timely manner and it was all delish!! The prices are very reasonable for what we got, and I would definitely visit again the next time i'm in Clearwater Beach. Thank you Yelp for helping us find this place :)

I love this place! With some of the beachy places to eat, I have found sub-par food, but Pearly's is the real deal and they're serving some seriously good food. My fiance and I are staying at Clearwater Beach for the summer and after the first time we ate here, we came again the next night. I first had the brisket burrito and she had the fish tacos. Both were on point and my burrito was full of tender, juicy brisket and fresh ingredients. Each order also comes with a nice portion of warm tortilla chips and homemade salsa. Night 2, I stayed on the burrito kick and had a one stuffed with ground beef, hash brown casserole and fresh salsa. As good as it was, I could barely finish it due to its size. We also tried the Poser Pizza which is a taco-style pizza, but made on two large tortillas that have refried beans in between them. Very original and very good. There's quite a bit more on this menu and I'm looking forward to eating off of it all summer.

I was excited to find a new little tropical eatery on Clearwater Beach. When I saw this cute little periwinkle colored house with sign, I had to stop by. I'm a bit late. It opened in Sept. '14. That's how off the beaten path it is. Where you ask is Papaya street? It doesn't have a light, and it is across the street from Bob Heilman's Beachcomber restaurant parking. Just use that restaurant as a guide. Let this little place catch your eye. You will remain in that island feeling. Think Key West, and think quick old convenient street type beach food. Also, get excited because you will eat on surf board tables. Selections including Tacos, Burritos, Baja Bowls, Burgers, Sandwiches, and Salads are what you will find here. Yes, I know, well at least in my opinion, I was like this is not much. This is no big deal. I still had to give it a try. Two simple tacos later, and a try of the baja bowl, and I was in heaven. The fish taco was the better of the two that I picked out. What made it grab my attention was the mango salsa and the jicama cole slaw. The tastes were so good. The chicken taco was interesting because of the plantain mole sauce, and the hash browns. The baja bowl with chicken was scrumptious because of the veggies that mixed along with the cilantro lime dressing. Cool place, island vibe, tacos with a great pop of flavor, and very chill. Just if anything, the hardcore '00 alternative music needs to be changed to match the feel of the place.

This was exactly what I was looking for and would expect from a "beachy" walk-up restaurant. I had three blackened fish tacos with chips and salsa. The blackened fish had a little bite to it and we're cooked perfectly. So many places tend to overlook blackened fish but not here. The fish was also served on the taco in small chunks which is key to eating it properly. The mango was a great adder for some sweetness against the blackened fish and the coleslaw brought a touch of crunch. It was a great fish taco. The salsa was a bit mild for my taste however when it is 92 and sunny I don't need a super spicy salsa either. The ambience of this place was perfect. Shaded picnic tables with palms and crushed seashells on the ground just what I was looking for. I will be back with the family for sure.

Pretty good grilled gosh tacos, which were exactly what I was craving. They came with chips and salsa. The salsa was great, but the cups a but stale so I onlyateafewonthem. I also give it 3 stars because of having no option for indoor seating. We ate with such strong fans blowing at is that I was worried about my stuff blowing away. Very beachy and informal setting for expensive tacos.

Came here twice in two days. The first time was possibly the best fish tacos I've ever had, but the second time was probably 3x saltier than the day before. If they could keep it consistent then they'd definitely be worth 5 stars. Definitely check it out if you're in the area.

Why 4 stars? Because I enjoy non-tourist traps near the beach. --- --- --- My least favorite thing about the Tampa Bay area is that 99% of businesses near the beach are a part of Tourist Trap USA. It's very annoying that so many restaurants can get away with serving barely average (at best) food, for a marked up price, simply because they are within 100 yards of sand. I wish there was some kind of alliance that came in and regulated the standards of beach-dwelling businesses. But that's a discussion for another day, I suppose. Pearly's fits into the 1% that is not a part of this travesty. This is one of the very few restaurants that people would visit, even if it were located in the middle of Kansas. It just so happens to be located close enough to the beach that I could throw a tennis ball and hit the sand from a table. Now, I have a great arm, but this isn't about me. So now that we're two paragraphs in, here's my review of Pearly's: These tacos are phenomenal: Fish, Chicken, and Pork This taco was alright: Shrimp These tacos were pretty sub-par, if we're being honest with each other: Beef, Brisket. No, I did not eat 6 tacos... we came in a group of 8, and all shared our food because we love each other. I'd return to Pearly's in a heartbeat on my next visit to Clearwater Beach. I'm so glad to have found a go-to spot down there!

Definitely a gem. Fish tacos and shrimp po boy both come highly recommended, and the prices are better than most nearby restaurants. Also the surf-themed outdoor seating is wonderful.

  • Bryan T.

This place has amazing food for the prices. Go for the nachos and you won't be disappointed. PS: They only have outdoor seating!

off the beaten path euro tourists to avoid taco oasis I had a wonderful experience here. Amidst the craziness that is Clearwater Beach, there is something wonderful off the beaten path--fresh and delicious tacos, burritos, burgers, and beer. A quiet location, so sorry if you're looking for good people watching. I parked my bike, ordered the fish tacos, according to the cashier blackened is best, and enjoyed the lovely outdoor seating. I'm pretty sure there is no indoor seating, but why would you want to? $12.95 for 2 tacos, chips, salsa, and an ice tea--not bad for the area. These tacos seriously killed my craving. Warm flour tortilla hugging the perfect amount of fish, some sort of sweet salsa and cole slaw. Pairing perfectly with the salty chips and fresh salsa. It all fit into my hand with minimal mess as I meditatively feasted. Yeah, I know you want it. But don't go too far out of your way for it--Clearwater beach is madness! I don't know if there is any food in that mess of a location that is worth going to if you're not already there. However, if you find yourself being dragged to one of the most insanely packed beaches and tourist attractions this side of Florida--know there is rest and affordably delicious food to be found at Pearly's.

Came here for lunch chicken burrito lunch was tasty and filling. It's s a really cute spot, clean with cool tables. Very reasonably priced.

  • Chris F.

Great place, off the main strip. Good food, outdoor seating, some beer, all makes a nice experience. My friend and I came here, got a pork burrito and their burger. Food was good, not over the top, but good. The outdoor seating and beachy atmosphere made it.

  • Resa C.

They had me at the surf shack ambience!! Loved the surfboard tables- beach umbrellas- salvaged chairs and cool music. Had the fish taco and shrimp taco. They were very good- not the usual tacos. You order at the counter and they call your number. Counter server was pleasant and quick. Besides soda and the regular food stand drinks they do serve beer. I will definitely go back and you should get there too!

    (5)
  • Connor C.

Very nice, chill atmosphere. Even though it's outside and may be hot, there are plenty of fans and shade to keep you cool. Food was great! My family and I had the fish tacos, homemade chicken salad sandwich and the brisket Baja bowl. They were all fantastic dishes! Love this place and will definitely return.

Loved the vibe and location, hated the food and drinks. I really wanted to love this place but man o man, what a let down. Very surprised it got good reviews but maybe we just got the wrong dishes. I got the mexican chicken baja bowl and my friend got the chicken tacos. We shared the lemonade but it tasted so bad that we had to replace it for an iced tea. Even their employee agreed that the lemonade tasted bad. Should've just stuck with water to be honest. For a place like this, you'd expect something natural and fresh but all you get are fountain drinks with a bad aftertaste. I mean c'mon guys, I can get fresh squeezed lemonade at a fast food joint. It's the little things that count. We were going to get the milkshake but the drinks put us off so bad we decided against it. As for the food, the seasoning they used for the chicken and rice were sub par and the whole bowl was dry lacking in any real depth of flavor. The rice was mushy. The corn salsa didn't have any tang to balance the dish out, in fact the corn salsa didn't have much flavor at all. I basically had to douse my food with hot sauce, lime juice, and sour cream and I couldn't even finish the rest. My friend didn't have anything good to say about the tacos either. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back unless they make some major improvements to their recipes. I hope they do though! If you want tastier tacos and amazing guac on the beach, go to Pan Filo's.

Best meal I had in the Tampa/Clearwater area while vacationing for Memorial Day. I had the shrimp po boy while my wife had the chicken salad pita. I could not recommend this place more. It has a great atmosphere and the service at the counter was very friendly.

  • Dette B.

Real close to Clearwater Beach, about 5 minute walk. They have tacos, bowls, burritos and burgers. I ordered the brisket burrito, super moist, huge so if you're not too hungry you can split it with someone. I like that I comes with nachos and salsa too. The price is great too, came up close to 40 bucks for 2 cheeseburgers, one bowl and one burrito. The lady in the counter is real friendly too which is always a plus.

  • Cindy E.

Awesome fish tacos. Atmosphere is fun and laid back. Order at window, help yourself to surf board retro tables.

    (5)
  • Amanda O.

Cute place! Food was great, was walking distance from where we were staying, we ate outdoors which was great with 3 kids and it was quick! Will be back for more fish tacos! Delish!!!!

    (5)
  • Kenny H.

Cool location - good, fresh seafood. Check it out when u r in town. Try the fish tacos.

    (5)
  • Mona S.

This place was cute. I love how their theme goes with the area. I like the idea of having surf boards as their tables and mismatch chairs. There was no inside place where you can dine in though.. Perfect for summer but not when we went there. We had to order a takeout because it was too cold for us that one night. We didn't get to enjoy their cute little set up. My husband and I each ordered an Islander(seafood tacos). We had oyster and crab tacos and it was not so bad. I eat with my eyes and it didn't have that "wow" factor for $11.50 meal. We were glad we tried this place but I think it's kind of pricey. It was a great experience but if you're hungry it was not so filling and this comment is coming from a 5'4 tiny Asian lady. Hihi.

  • Lynn E.

This place was simply lovely! Shrimp tacos! Brisket baja bowl! We really enjoyed our take out lunch! Super friendly service! I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone!!!!!

    (5)
  • Michael A.

Never noticed this place before but the traffic was horrendous as usual so we found this place was closer than the beach place we usually go to. So glad we did, some of the best brisket around! Try the brisket burrito. Yum

  • Special E.

Jesus H tap dancin christ!!!! (Think blues brothers" ) The blackened fish tacos are freaking awesome. As a local I figured it was just another tourist trap with crappy food. I am so happy I tried them. Winner winner chicken dinner. I can't wait to try something else from the menu. This will be a regular stop when I'm in CWB.

    (5)
  • Tony S.

The BIG BOSS CHICKEN BURRITO is a must!! Had almost every taco on the menu, and wasn't disappointed. I highly recommend you stop in if you are in the Clearwater area.

  • Emily G.

I came here a few nights ago with my family and fell in love with the place, it's such a charming little restaurant with absolutely wonderful food! The seating is outdoors, but don't worry about it being too sunny, they have palm trees that will provide plenty of shade for you while you eat. I got the fish tacos (fried), I loved the mango salsa and the jicama coleslaw that was on them, the flavors and texture were pretty spectacular. As an appetizer, I got some tortilla chips with salsa and guacamole, the salsa and chips were pretty good, however I wasn't such a fan of the guacamole, it was a bit garlicky for my taste, and I love garlic. I ordered the vanilla milkshake and it was so yummy that I had to order another before my dinner came. I would highly recommend getting one if you have the chance.

  • Debbie W.

I've been waiting for this cute place to open. Went tonight for the first time. You place order at window and wait for your order. All seating is outside on an adorable patio with old school type tables, chairs and umbrellas. The food has a key west flavor; tacos, burritos, bowls, etc. and of course adult beverages beer and wine. Hubby and I shared an empanada and chicken burrito. Both were yummy. Served at the counter by a very sweet girl, Emily. Would definitely go back. Nice addition to restaurant choices at the beach!

Coming from NY.. I am expecting great tacos everywhere in Florida. The concept, decor, staff are great. Unfortunately, the food is average tex mex at best. The tables are outside - made of surfboards. Really Cool idea. The first batch of chips and nachos were stale. They did kindly re-made our chips and were better fresh, but still not amazing. Guac needed some heat and spice. I got the chicken, fish and pulled pork tacos. The chicken wasn't fresh, definitely originally frozen. The fish was the best by far. Flour tortillas. Service was great, people were nice. They could use a real mexican in the kitchen. Nothing memorable, but would come back when I visit florida again.

  • William B.

Might very well be the best fish tacos I've ever had in my life!! The Narly Nachos (which was huge) were great too - get the EXTRA spicy jalapeños on the side. They have fans blowing and plenty of shade to keep you cool even in 92 degree weather). This place IS the reason you look to Yelp for recommendations. So thankful, so satisfied, so good!!! Fyi, Sorbet in a half coconut isn't local but also made for a great split between two desert.

  • Chris F.

The wait staff is super friendly and nice ...food is so so ...I literally think Chipotle is better not gonna lie. ...

    (3)
  • Vio A.

The food is just ok, tried 4 different tacos, Cesar salad and guacamole. Fishnets knead the best but the rest just average. Though brisket was the worst I ever had- meat chewy, hard to eat and tasteless. Guacamole was tactless too, no lime taste and very bland.

    (2)
  • Rebecca K.

Loved the surfboard tables and food. Shrimp and fish tacos and pork nacho appetizers were really tasty. Also don't miss the desserts. Piña Colada sorbet in a coconut, pineapple in a pineapple and the vanilla milkshake were a big hit with my family! There's no indoor seating but it is a fun family place to eat! Found it only by using the yelp app on my phone and glad I did!

  • Ady G.

Execellent place new to the island. Fresh food, clean place and good bright decor design. Mexican twist to beach seafood. Friendly, nice and chilled young girl on the counter. I had the crab and the shrimp tacos. Very good. Different to the usual fried options on the Main Street, hope it manages to stay open because it just off the main busy street.

  • Allison W.

My family usually goes to Frenchies Rockaway grill but we decided to try out Pearly's instead. I love the feel of the place, they have a great variety of outdoor seating and the decor is great. The girl who took our order was very nice and we were served promptly. I wish I was feeling more up to a Mexican dish but since my stomach was a bit upset we went with the Caesar salad with added chicken and shrimp. We also got chips and guacamole, all very good. BUT the frozen key lime pie slice dipped in chocolate was to die for. Oh and let me add that the price was perfect, we will definitely be coming back.

  • Paul R.

I walked to the window and was greeted by a sweet lady named Debbie (whom the restaurant was named after). She was great and recommended that I try the big sur burger. I ordered the big sur burger and a side of seasoned fries. The burger was big and juicy cooked perfectly and the seasoned fries were perfectly crispy. The atmosphere was beachy and laid-back which was perfect for a post beach snack. I will be back to Pearly's Beach eats next time I visit Clearwater!

  • Amanda P.

Great food!! Blackened fish tacos, Baja bowl, briskit burrito are delist! Blackened fish tacos were absolutely amazing!!!

    (5)
  • Nikki R.

Great environment, okay food, and warm beer. We shared some nachos and the chicken had some great flavor, but there were like three pieces of cheese for the entire plate. Guacamole was tasty but the chunks of red onion were massive and the guac was a little brown.

    (3)
  • Kenzie F.

BEST place in Clearwater. Huge portions. Fresh food. Their pork nachos are on point!!! Go visit them. You won't regret it!

    (5)

This is a great place to chill after a day at the beach. They make food just right and the blackened fish tacos are totally recommended.

  • Bob S.

Excellent taco salads! Clean, quick and friendly service! Fresh ingredients. Highly recommended. Just down the street from the Beachcomber. Walk 50 feet and enjoy great food.

  • John Michael K.

Great lunch spot after a day on the beach. Super close proximity, GREAT food, really cool atmosphere (all outside around shady palm trees), and incredibly reasonable prices. 5 stars.

    (5)
  • Michelle L.

My boyfriend and I are uber food snobs from New York and we give this little shack 5 stars for the following reasons: blackened fish tacos are on point- they offer the option to get them with corn tortillas instead of flour, the mahi is fresh and perfectly cooked. The guac was chunky and fresh with a little kick. Don't over-order because you must save room for the amazing milk shakes... Made with real ice cream (can't stand when it turns out to be a fake, malted mistake like many fast food places). I even ordered an extra side of fruit to pack in my cooler for the beach because it was so fresh.

    (5)
  • Alyssa C.

Food was amazing!!! I chose the 3 taco dinner. The tacos I chose were; grilled fish, chicken and pork. They were all delish, but the fish taco was definitely my favorite. I tasted the slider burgers and they were very tasty as well. Everything on the menu looks so good. We can't wait to come back and try more. All the seating is outside but with plenty of shade from umbrellas. I highly recommend this place!!

  • Philip E.

Good value! Great food! Glad yelp led us too this awesome fine. Food was flavorful and fresh.

    (5)
  • Briana W.

Everything everyone else said. The blackened fish tacos, the atmosphere, the menu, the style. We came two days in a row. Enough said! :)

    (5)
  • Kyle D.

Unique little restaurant tucked away off the main drag. Tacos were fantastic and the ambiance was very cool. They had a decent beer selection but no menu. Service was average.

    (4)
  • Matt T.

This place is great! The guacamole was fresh, the chicken burrito was excellent, and the fish tacos were among the best I've had on the beach or in Florida for that matter...can't beat fresh fish.

    (5)
  • Allan C.

This place is extremely clean and well ran it has counter service only but it's worth it. Prices are very reasonable for the area and the burritos are huge and really good, hamburger are very good as well. Outdoor seating is very nice shades area, would definitely go back when in area

    (4)
  • Melissa U.

It's a walk-up and order but there is plenty of shade with fans. We went there twice on our trip to the beach! We tried the chicken nachos- they were huge and delicious, with all fresh fixin's! My husband tried the fish and shrimp tacos. He liked both but the shrimp tacos were cold which he wasn't expecting. The baja bowl was also wonderful. I loved all the fresh flavors!

    (5)
  • L J.

I absolutely LOVED this place. it was by far my favorite lunch spot during my recent visit to Clearwater. the location is very convenient to Clearwater beach, the food is delicious and not expensive (really appreciated having vegetarian options!), the vibe is fun and adorable without being kitschy, and the music is top notch -- I seriously loved whatever playlist was going the three times I was there. this will be one of my first stops if I ever make it back to Clearwater. thanks for the fun!

    (5)
  • Keegan H.

AMAZING!!! Go for the Fish Tacos and phenomenal outdoor atmosphere. Go in the evening after the sun sets and just kick back, relax, and enjoy one of the best that Clearwater Beach has to offer!!

    (5)
  • Jeremy D.

After reading the reviews didn't think I could go wrong. I decided to have 3 different tacos and I must say the fish taco was quite good. The rest of the items our group had were not worthy of 5 stars. Environment is nice and relaxing and great if your wanting a bit more of a relaxed atmosphere.

    (3)
  • Paul R.

This is a cute little casual outdoor restaurant with tasty food and good prices. We had a baja bowl and fish tacos. The baja bowl was a bit on the boring side (tasted fine, just not exciting). The fish tacos were really good, would definitely have them again! This is a spot I'll go back to the next time I'm out in Clearwater.

    (5)
  • Stephen B.

Perfect food after a long day at the beach. The tortilla chips were fresh-made and worked perfectly with the Guac. I had a Baja Bowl and my family had burgers. All were excellent. I highly recommend anything served with the pulled pork.

  • Jack R.

We were looking for something between fast food and fine dining. Pearly's Beach Eats filled the bill perfectly. You order/pick-up at the counter like fast food, but the similarities end there. The food is outstanding and plentiful. The fact that most items are less than $10 is a plus. All tables are outdoors, surf boards with beach umbrellas, on a "breezy" patio. We had the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad, Baja Bowl, and several of the Tube Tacos (chicken, pork, and fish). Everything was first rate!

    (5)
  • Jennifer D.

Can't stop telling friends about my new favorite restaurant on Clearwater Beach! Great atmosphere, friendly service and phenomenal food. The chicken taco with hash brown casserole was a-maz-ing! I can't wait to go back.

  • Denise R.

Love this place! Great outdoor seating area, very casual and the fish tacos are awesome. Everything tastes fresh and not overly heavy. Awesome addition to Clearwater Beach

    (5)
  • Paul S.

Holy cow! I've had at least three local seafood joints during our week trip in Clearwater, and this little outdoor place was HANDS DOWN the best we had. Three of the Islander Tacos (oyster, fish, crab), some seasoned fries, and my wife's turkey burger sliders were the best I've ever had. If you're looking for local flavor, a really fun and inviting environment, great service, fresh food, basically all the things you want in a restaurant... Come to Pearly's Beach Eats. You will not regret it.

    (5)
  • Ron S.

Just had lunch there and it was exceptional. Beer was cold too. Had the shrimp and fish (blackened) taco platter...fish taco was crazy good. Shrimp really good too, but lost by a nose. Great atmosphere and a hair quieter than some other local places as it's a block off Mandalay. Take the time to stop by - the staff are super friendly and the kitchen area was really clean. Also should mention that our boys have been there twice for afternoon milkshakes. Very reasonably priced and "really good" per our teenage son and his younger brother.

    (5)
  • Atlas E.

Yummy! I had fish taco and shrimp taco. BF had Baja bowl. All excellent!! Everything was very fresh and light. Menu is diverse with kids items and burgers. They also have beer and wine. Walk up to order with all outside shaded seating. Friendly staff and even gave us loaner coozies for our beers. Yay Pearlys!

  • Mary T.

Pealry's is a must if you are in Clearwater. Fish/shrimp tacos are amazing. The shrimp poboy is the best I have ever had.

    (5)
  • Nate A.

Tacos were delicious, but pretty pricy for small portions ($12/3 tacos). Same thing for the burrito ($9/burrito). Don't come here if you're looking for value. Tasty for sure.

    (3)
  • Eclipse T.

Great addition to Clearwater Beach! Charming tropical atmosphere with quick, friendly service. No need to worry how you're dressed as the outdoor seating accommodates "come as you are.". I really enjoyed the blackened cobia tacos which come with chips and pico de gallo. The mango salsa and jicama slaw on the taco were a perfect complement to the fish. This place could seriously get me to the beach a few times a week. Great job, and I'll see you again soon.

  • Rose L.

Best place in Clearwater Beach. Casual taco place- order at the counter and take it to your vintage-y reclaimed tables and chairs outside surrounded by nice greenery. Fish tacos were awesome, shrimp tacos were good too but wishing I got all fish, maybe the brisket tacos. Even the chips and homemade salsa were delicious. Would definitely return.

    (5)
  • Paul G.

We came here because it was the only thing open. It originally did not pull up on yelp at all. It was delicious. I had the pork Boss Burrito. It was good size tasted great well worth it. My wife had a fried fish taco and a chicken taco. The plantain mole on the chicken taco was spot on and the fish taco was among the best we've had. We will definitely be back here on our trip.

    (5)
  • Audrey B.

We had the grilled fish tacos and the shrimp baja bowl. Both were delicious!! The salsa was a little sweet which was right up our alley! Really neat seating area outside with good music playing.

  • Liz D.

A great Clearwater Beach find!! Clean, cute and awesome fresh food!! Blackened fish tacos delicious-- ate here last night and back today for a late lunch! Numerous yummy items on the menu. Great outside eating with good, not too loud music in the background!

  • Josh A.

excellent food! excellent staff! the menu is pretty big on the side of the building! they take a couple minutes to cook your food but now you know you are getting quality!

Holy cow. On a busy Saturday night in Clearwater, the wife and I took a stroll to find dinner. It was by accident that I looked down the road and saw the "beach eats sign". This was the best meal. I had the shrimp po boy, she had the chicken baja bowl. Both fresh, and great. Couldn't believe we were the only ones eating here. Steer clear of the main strip and come to Pearly's!

    (5)
  • Andrie I.

This place, this place is amazing. I've been here a couple of times, the chicken boss burrito is where it's at. SO GOOD. I can't even put into words how delicious it is. The nachos are also incredible, the portions are pretty big so definitely order with intentions on sharing (even though you wont want to because the food is so good, you'll be willing to eat yourself into a food coma). It's slightly off the path of the main strip, down a little side street and seating is all outside, but there are umbrella's/covers over the tables. This is a must if you're going to be in Clearwater.

    (5)
  • Heather T.

Meh... White bread meets Tex-Mex. Ok, so the fish taco was not actually served on Wonderbread, but it might as well have been. And mayo mango dressing on top? Not right. The "blackened" fish is more like "boiled"- Oh, and the plate of fish tacos at this joint - a whopping $14- you are literally sitting on the side of the road at a dirty picnic table. Go eat at a restaurant that actually has a waitress (as opposed to picking it up at a window) air conditioning and silverware that's not plastic. Also, the ambiance? Let's just say there is a layer of seashells under the tables covered, and I mean covered, with cigarette butts.

    Shrimp tacos are absolutely AMAZING!

  • Christopher M.

I'm very disappointed about this place. Came here because I read reviews about it being great and great food, plus five star rating. Food wasn't fresh, 3 customers in line and it still took us a good 10-15 min to even get our order in. Getting our food was fast, but they got it wrong. From out of town, and brought the family here for what I thought would have been a good dinner at a local place. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.

Excellent food, decent prices. They have a great place to sit outside that's shaded, keeping it cool even on hot days. I can recommend the Baja Bowl, the tacos, and the milkshakes.

Went to Pearly's based on Yelp recommendation.... It was FANTASTIC! Fish tacos (blackened and broiled) were amazing, burrito and meat tacos were great as well. People friendly, fun decor, fabulous food. I could eat here every day...

One word: outstanding. We visited Clearwater beach earlier this month and feel fortunate to have discovered this place. The blackened fish tacos are to die for. We are there twice and wish we could go back. This is the type of place that makes you want to pull up tent stakes and relocate. The tortilla chips and salsa are just okay but everything else we tried was great. Don't miss it.

Our family stumbled upon Pearly's after waiting at another restaurant for over an hour without a bite to eat. We were pleasantly greeted with a smile. Part 1 of our order was out in less than five minutes and the others came shortly after. The chicken tacos were excellent as were the other items on the menu. We ended up having three meals over a week! Thanks for the great food and service!

Awesome little taco place. Off the beaten path. Walk up and order and pick up at the window and there's a bunch of beachy style chairs and tables outside. We ordered 3 tacos. The brisket, chicken and pulled pork and all were amazing. Authentic taste. Comes with chips and salsa. Couldn't ask for better!

Enjoyable little place off the beaten track that's absolutely perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Maybe a little expensive but very good after a long trek along the beach and nothing out of line for the area.

Great find! We've had some sub par meals on our vacation in Clearwater, but I'm so glad we listened to the fellow yelpers & gave Pearly's a try. We ordered the fish, brisket & pork tacos. They were all really good, but the pork & fish were our favorites. It wasn't crowded when we were there & our order was ready in less than 10 minutes. Check it out if you're looking for a restaurant without the price tag of the other touristy bars in the area. Pearly's had the perfect beachy feel we were looking for & great food!

First thing you should know before you get here: there is no indoor seating. They do have highchairs. You order and then wait for your number to be called. No waitstaff. They have a small selection of beer and wine and coke products. The ambience is really family friendly -- almost everyone I saw there either had kids or were under 18. Small menu including salads, tacos, burritos, and burgers, and a nice kids selection that includes PB&J, corndogs and other things that kids like. They have a hamburger, turkey burger and black bean burger. I got the Lil Surs sliders because their hamburger is 1/2lb and I didnt think I could eat that much. My sister got the beef burrito and my son had a PB&J with fresh fruit. We also had an awesome sorbet in a coconut for dessert. The food is very fresh and very good. Great Americana fair for the whole family. I gave four stars because I really hate eating outside!

Very good food. I had the tacos and a fruit salad and was pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind though, it's outdoor seating only. But if you are in the area and want a tasty, fresh lunch, this is the place...just don't have pants. The fans aren't that powerful.

We don't get good fish tacos in Chicago, so whenever I'm in a beach town, I have to find some. The fish tacos here, fried of course, are phenomenal. I highly recommend them to anyone coming into the area. The shrimp tacos were not bad and I wouldn't recommend the chicken, but definitely give the fish tacos a try. The staff is very friendly and it has a nice outdoor beach town vibe.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America.
