We were visiting the west side of florida and decided to try Juli's in Clearwater. Upon arriving we were greeted with a friendly smile and the service was excellent. Traditional Mexican food is very difficult to come by as most Mexican restaurants are geared more toward American flavors. The flavors of the food were out of this world. From the first bite to the last bite, the flavors just explode as you eat into wonderful flavors on the palate. The food was very authentic and similar to what you find if visiting Mazatlan Mexico. The atmosphere is very quiet and the restaurant is very clean. 5 stars to Juli's Restaurant in Clearwater Florida!

We went here with our kids and The grandparents. Everyone loved it! Everything is fresh and made to order! Juli waited on us. She is so sweet and takes very much pride in her food and trust me it shows!! Can't wait to go back! Best Mexican and very authentic.

Really good and really fresh. I had the camarones ala Diablo - perfect amount of heat. Mom had the chicken dorados. She raved about then. Corn tortillas made fresh in house. Our waitress was super friendly. Woukd definitely come back

First of all, this was my first visit and I was immediately taken aback by how sweet Juli is. She makes you feel welcome and as if you're her best friend or family immediately. Secondly, the food was delicious. We ordered the 3 steak tacos, tacos dorados with rice and corn, and 2 pork and 1 steak tacos. Everything was full of flavor and fresh. The menu is in English and Spanish, and Juli speaks clear English. The restaurant itself is clean and open, and you can tell Juli goes the extra mile for the customer experience.

Had lunch here the other day. Wasn't great, but wasn't horrible. I had the green enchiladas, just very acidic and not very flavorful. Beans and rice were pretty bland. Boyfriend got a burrito that was alright, bland but not bad.

Friendly and very clean. Food is authentic. I had the Torta Cubano and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even the French fries were tasty! Already planning the return trip for soup and dinner items.

Very nice, clean restaurant. Great food, freshly made tortillas. I had the chicken fajitas, which arrived sizzling hot and with a side if rice and beans. I also had the special soup, kind of a vegetable beef, nicely spicy and filling. I'm only staying in Clearwater for a couple of days, but Juli's is definitely on my radar for a revisit! The website is eatatjulis.com They don't list their hours, so call first to make sure that they are open. You won't be disappointed.

Went to Juli's with a friend from Mexico who raved about the mole dish we both ordered . It was a real treat to my palate. This restaurant is a sure bet if you want excellent, fresh, traditional Mexican food. Loved it. Also the restaurant was exceptionally clean.

Excellent margarita that was mixed to order, not pre-made. We had the fajitas, steak for him and shrimp for her, kids had tacos and a hamburger, which they both loved. Fajitas were fantastico! The service was awesome too, by Juli herself. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

So far everything I've gotten here is excellent. I highly recommend the chicken tacos and enchiladas. They were awesome. Julie, the owner is there every day and she is a very sweet lady that knows her food! Let's face it, the majority of the options for Mexican food in Clearwater use low quality meats and cheeses and are overly greasy. This place does it right, you can dine in or take out. Plenty of parking since it shares the parking lot for Natures Food Patch. They offer beer as well if you like to have Mexican beer with your Mexican food.

Awesome Mexican food that is a far cry from the "mainstream" Mexican places. Tacos bursting with flavor. We even asked for a special prep - the vegetarian burrito (loaded with veggies) stuffed with a little chorizo, and they delivered - best burrito we've ever had anywhere (including Mexico!). Fine hostess, uplifting décor. We don't live too close, but will visit as often as we can.

Great authentic fresh Mexican food. The look of the place still needs some work but don't let that fool you. They use fresh ingredients. It's delicious authentic mexican. Your in for a treat! They also do catering for big parties.

I was excited for some Mexican cuisine. Can't say the food was terrible but it deff wasn't the greatest. Everything was kind of warm, asked for rice and she brought me fries. She completely disregarded our orders. There was also a passed out hairy man drinking a beer the entire time we were there; was quite an eyesore. Wasn't really overall impressed with the entire experience.

Some of the best food and service I have ever received. I generally don't review restaurants but this place is to good to keep a secret. Juli gave us a free tamale because they are here specialty and we didn't order one. Complimentary chips and salsa were so fresh and delicious. The refried beans were to die for! My wife and kids loved their meals too. I am so sad that I live in Utah and can't come back here regularly.

Juli's Restaurant serves pretty authentic Mexican food in what looks to be a former fast food restaurant. I tried both the 3-taco deal and the chicken enchilada entree (comes with two sides) and both were good. The owner (Juli) obviously likes running a restaurant and chums it up with the customers. It's nice to see an owner who takes pride in their restaurant. If I was a local, I'd come back, but as an out-of-tower, I'll have to wait 'till my next trip to Clearwater.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
