I've eaten here about 4 times and each visit was excellent. Service was great, food was tasty each time and the value is outstanding, with large portions at excellent prices. Atmosphere: 5 Food: 4 Service: 5 Value: 5

Cheddar's is my favorite American restaurant on the planet! Cheddar has so many excellent food on the menu. I've been always order their famously Spinach Dip for appetizer. Yes, I believe that it was the best I have in any restaurants in the area. I am in LOVE with their Hawaiian Chicken Salad especially with their honey-lime dressing! Again, it was the best! I am telling you what... All of the food on the menu are also EXCELLENT! The prices are reasonable! It is perfect for family oriented and accessibility for persons with disabilities. This restaurant has a beautiful decoration as well!

Cheddar's is really just an Applebee's for retirees. The music is very low, the temperature is cold, the atmosphere is blah and outdated, and the servers dress like penguins. I'm not sure why it gets a high rating though. The food wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't good. My "white fish" tacos (what the hell kind of fish was this even?) were as bland as could be. To make it more boring they were served on a plate, no garnish, and the only thing that came with it was a side of my choice, none of which went well with fish tacos. The Baked Potato soup was pretty good, that's the one I'll give this place. It was simple, had the right flavors, and was topped with gooey melted cheese and bacon just like I would hope. Service was excellent, but I wouldn't return for the food alone.

This place has big portions and small prices. Good for all the family as there is something for everyone. You gotta have the onion rings.

This place gets a solid 4 stars for a few reasons. The restaurant is clean and the service has been great every time I have been there. The appetizers are awesome and I wouldn't ever go without getting the spinach dip. SOOO good. The prices are great for what you get, burgers are $5-$6 or how about a Monte Christo. Deep fried ham and cheese with powdered sugar and rasberry sauce, Pleeze, and the giant chocolate cookie for dessert is crazy.

Great place to go if you have a party that doesn't know what to eat. There's a large variety of dishes reasonably priced. Also the portions are large enough for two. Great value and service as well.

Cheddars was a very nice experience. The area was nice and very clean the food was great and reasonable priced. I was visiting from out of town and the family ate there. We had a awesome time so much that two days later we came back and ate again. There was something for everyone including my three year o.d nephew. I plan to do my my business luncheon meeting there as well.

I agree with the description as a sort of amped-up Applebees. However, the portions are huge, prices are small, and service (we just went here with a group of 13) was great. Everyone enjoyed what they had and there were tons of leftovers all around.

Get there at 9 if you need to be out by 12. Food was good, though.

Everything.....I mean everything is cooked to perfection. If you want the best food ever and you aren't there to socialize...this is the place. Meal times are crowded and noise level is bad... but the plates contain the rewards!! Reasonably priced, quality is consistently good.

this place is so good! every time i've went coincidentally i've had the same serveer with exceptional service

This was our fist visit to Cheddar's and I've struggled to find a short description for this restaurant. As Jenni mentions, very similar to other casual dining chains but not. The decor is nicer than usual with dark wood and stone. Lighting is also a little more subdued. The bar is a seperate area (off to the side with patio dining available) rather than the center of things like at Applebee's or TGIF. The menu is diverse and should be able to offer something for everyone in your party. Food is good, no complaints. I went with the chicken fingers (very moist) while my husband had the key west chicken with grilled shrimp (love that the shimp were cooked and served properly). But, what swung the vote to 4 stars were price and service. Our server was outstanding and we paid less for dinner than what we usually pay for lunch (appetizer and two entrees plus beverages for approx $25). This location is a little out of the way for us but we will certainly visit again next time we find ourselves up that way.

I'm not familiar with this chain, but it has all the usual casual dining chain elements -- big syrupy drinks, tons of heavy appetizers, and very diverse/completely incongruent entree items and salads. So, if your outing calls for the casual dining chain atmosphere, and sometimes it does (visiting mom), than this is the place. That said, I enjoyed it much more than the older chains it is modeled after. My meal was hot and fresh, and, although the serving was large enough to take home half, I was spared the overwhelming and insurmountable pile of food I've come to expect at chains. We sat in the bar area to avoid a wait--the dining area was packed at 5:30 on a Friday night (a good sign, I think)--and our waitress was great - very attentive and helpful. The tortilla chips are the best I've had in a while -- crisp, light, and just salty enough. Happy Hour has a 2.99 margarita - but, you have to sit at the bar or patio to take advantage of the happy hour specials. Overall, not bad, I would go back.

Great food, great family restaurant. Their salads, soups, and sweet tea are great. Very nice atmosphere and great service. Their menu has a wide variety of meals....one of my favorites.

We went to Cheddar's for the first time on 8/12 and I must say I was impressed. They had a full house, managed to find us booth seating within 5 minutes and had a waiter at our table almost as soon as we sat down. We didn't have to wait to order, our server was speedy and friendly - he made sure that if there were any changes or odd requests they were met without trouble. (We're not demanding, I promise. We just like blue cheese on burgers.) The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. Also it's very clean! It is reminiscent of an Applebee's or Chili's but I would choose Cheddar's over the two.

Excellent restaurant. This was our first experience and certainly will not be the last. Great food and great service. Do not hesitate to try this place.

Food is terrible. Low quality meats, busy because cheap, not good.

Just think Ruby Tuesdays, Applebees, Chillis but just changed the name to Cheddar's.

  • Sam S.

Food and service was great. There is a good selection on the menu, prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous. My wife and I had two entrees, shared dessert, and two pops for 26.79. Will definitely go again, and is definitely better than the average chain in its class.

  • Mark B.

Always consistent, food is excellent, lots of choice, and the service is great. I really can't believe how inexpensive it is for what you get. There are a lot more items on the menu but the deep fried chicken tenders are the best I've had anywhere. They are moist and juicy on the inside and perfectly light and crispy outside, goes excellent with the house honey mustard dipping sauce.

This place is great. The onion rings are made fresh and worth the wait. Lots of well made food for reasonable prices. Get the buffalo chicken wrap. You won't regret it.

We live close by and used to love the Cheddar's in Mt. Juliet were we use to live. It's Friday night so obviously very crowded. They sat us in section that has 2 parties in it. One table with about 10 people, and the other with about 18. Experience (as a patron and working at restaurants) tells me that, other than the obvious noise, food quality drops drastically when that happens as cooks struggle to get all the food out for that table at the same time, and other orders are either rushed through, or die in the window as they are ignored being the mountain of plates for the party. This is a good test of a kitchen, but let's keep an open mind. Our waitress Tiffany was very nice, friendly and helpful. She said she would put our order in before party which she did. Very nice. We ordered the Texas cheese fries, and the grown up grilled cheese. I usually have the Monte Cristo but wanted to try something new. Had a Caesar salad for my side. We ordered before the big party so our food got out fast. The Texas cheese fries were great as expected. No complaints there. The grilled cheese had roast beef in it, which tasted very bland and over cooked. The worst part was the cheese. It was sliced cheese which was by far not high end to say the least. Caesar salad was fine. Not bad, not great. The croissant on salad was awesome and sadly the best part of the meal. Not sure we will return. Not good enough for the price and so many other great choices with a 3 mile radius.

Every time I pass by Cheddar's it's always packed! I had to check it out myself. I believe I went on a Sunday and yes, it was packed for lunch time. The service was good and the server's attitude was excellent! The food isn't the type of food I really enjoy, heavy and fried food.. average American food. The flavors isn't that bad, but I did find the pasta to be too salty. The onion rings were highly suggested and I don't even like onion rings, but these were so light and crispy! Delicious and they are also super cheap for such a large pile. The Shepard's pie was average and the Cajun pasta was pretty good, but too salty for me. The serving was a large size. I must have to say! The drinks were pretty cheap! If I were to return I would definitely go for the drinks and appetizers.

The parking lot was full, so that usually bodes well for a place. But immediately upon entering, the sharp screech of a child greeted my ears, so when we were sat, we were sat in the bar/lounge area. That was fine (for the most part) as it was quieter over all. The bar wasn't terribly busy, but we still waited about 8 minutes until someone came by and told us they'd be right with us, first a woman and then a guy. The guy came back and took our drink orders and let us know that the bartender would be our Waitress. She came back in a moment or so and took our order for apps and mains. We ordered chips and homemade queso - with ground beef added for free, the home made (uh, more like shipped from Sysco) chicken pot pie and a bacon cheese burger. Our chips and queso came out very quickly, and they added a -LOT- of ground beef to the dip. So much so that it almost over powered the cheese. Still, it had great flavor, the chips were fresh and the salsa was both spicy and tasty. When we were more than 1/2 way done, the bartender said she'd bring us more chips, we waved her off, we didn't really need more. She also brought out my salad with the chips, and that's great, it was a fresh salad with romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, some shredded carrots and croutons. I don't remember asking for Ranch dressing, but that's what I got, and it was on the side, just like I like it. It also came with a honey croissant ala Hops (YUM!) We chatted and munched our way through this part of the meal, as the room seemed to grow colder and colder. We weren't the only ones to notice the temperature drop. The table behind me complained, asking them to bump it up. Apparently they keep it cold in the lounge because the main room gets REALLY hot if the ac in the lounge goes off. It was -so- cold that there was condensation forming on the AC vent and dripping on me, on my seat and thigh. What fun. Our mains came out and as I said, they advertise that their Chicken Pot Pie is homemade, but it's most certainly frozen and re-heated. This is not made in house, but its still tasty. The cheese burger was large and topped well, though the fries were paltry and meh looking to my eyes. Our waitress was attentive, but the temperature difference was too much. My hands were so cold they were aching. When we left we could tell how MUCH of a difference there was between the foyer and the bar area, a good 10-15 degrees. They really should put some effort into fixing that. It made it VERY uncomfortable to be in there for more than 15-20 minutes.

I came to this place foe the first time and immediately thought it must've been good since there was a long wait to get seated...and this was on a Thursday night. PROS: - very reasonably priced food - they have signature meals - delicious sides -Very good steak and ribs (they fall off the bone) - food proportions were big - menu was legit - service was good - a good spot to celebrate your birthday since they give you an enormous slice if chocolate cake (which was very good with compliment of a scoop of vanilla iced cream. CONS: - be prepared to wait long to be seated (if it's busy ) - very loud ambiance - no wifi and TVs in the dining area Overall the menu was exceptional with reasonable pricing. I'd definitely come back to try other stuff on the menu.

The bartender Karen was very friendly and attentive. It only cost $1 to make your drink a double!! We just got chicken fingers and fries at the bar and they were awesome. Very light and crispy. The place looked clean and service was quick. I would definitely go back.

I think most reviews have hit this nail on the head: It's a nice place and decent staff, but there's a reason it's cheap. Food was boring, bland, or coated in dressing. If they can fix the kitchen and get the servers to cheer up a bit, this place could charge more and be totally worth it. We couldn't tell the difference between the salad with ranch and the one with blue cheese. LOL, really? Also, the salads were drenched in the mayo-based sauce they call "dressing". My Philly steak was reasonably well made, but had no seasoning and tasted pretty bland. The other entrees were nothing special. I really like the fruit-infused teas. I suppose it was OK for a lunch spot, but I wouldn't dream of having dinner here. Hostesses were pleasant, we like the restaurant decor. It was a bit of a miracle that the waitress almost cracked a smile when my dad made a joke. She was pretty down-tone, but did an OK job refilling the drinks. Other than that, service was 'meh'.

Good casual food, pretty big portions. It's a popular place, so be prepared for a bit of a wait.

So glad we stopped in for lunch. I've heard about this place, but now I know what the hype is about. Good food, good portion sizes and great prices. I had the chicken pot pie that comes with house salad. ***also comes with honey butter croissant. YUMMY! Can't wait to come back so I can try their dinner entrees and cocktails. With their prices, why not?!?

  • Gabriella D.

The stars is based totally on the food to be fair. Incredibly long wait, be prepared to stand in the waiting area --yes I said stand because even the seating in the waiting area will be full-- for at least 45 minutes. I opted to order it to go. 15-20 minutes for them to cook the food. Atmosphere: Very popular with families and very casual. *It seems there should be a separate area for to-go customers* 2 stars because the food is greasy and will taste good but later, like within a few hours, your body will pay for it with a tummy ache that won't go away until the food is expelled out the other end. 2 words: Monte Cristo 1 word: Bennigan's

Sat outside, nice patio area - honey butter biscuits were good, but I thought they would be complimentary. Service was good, food okay. You get what you pay for - overall a decent meal for the money.

This location was clean, staff was friendly. I ordered onion rings as a small appetizer, and they bring out this mountain of onion rings with ranch dipping sauce and a horseradish type sauce. I ordered a full rack of baby back ribs and the meat fell off the bone and a nice smokey flavor. Good place, decent prices.

Great fast service from Dave. Food was really slow coming out but when it did it was awesome . I got the salmon and hubby got spicy chicken and beans on rice. Nice atmosphere and clean.

Work lunch! Party of 5. Our waitress seemed a bit rushed like we were an inconvenience. She took our drink or and our food order at the same time. Maybe she is having one of those days we all have every so often. Ordered a naked grilled chicken salad and got something completely different. When pointed out she seemed put out to have to change my food order. However, she quickly returned with my correct order, I think she just grabbed the wrong plate from the pass. Good food, reasonable prices.

I went for my 30th birthday (04-09-2915)... The waiter was nice but forgetful. The food was okay I should have picked some else. I want to say it was a manager but she was yelling at one of the men cleaning tables off in front of guest. Ask him if he really wanted to work for her. If so he needs to work. I felt really bad because everyone around him was look at them. We used to get Cheddar's to go but stop because the food has gone down. The staff seems really unhappy to be there and work.

    (2)
  • Charles L.

Horrible food quality. Servers had a really bad attitude toward the customers. The manger was ignorant toward my table when we had complaints about the quality of the food served.

Wow, talk about a place going down hill! I live close by and loved this place when it first opened but after my last visit, I will only come back for drinks. I had noticed a decline in food quality over the last couple of visits but after the garbage they served my on Saturday afternoon I will never eat here again. We ate around 4:00pm at the bar and service was rough at best, she was busy I'll give her that, but also seemed scattered. Another guy punched in and gave her some help though. The Coors Light draft was warm so he switched to a bottle and that wasn't much better. The Rum Runner was very good and I'll come back and have another some day. I ordered the Monte Cristo with broccoli casserole. It was all cold, as in the ham on the sandwich was refridgerator cold and the bread wasn't cooked all the way. Nothin says lovin from the oven like raw bread dough, yummy! I wasn't going to send it back and risk eating some disgruntled cooks spit either. I did send the casserole back because I knew that was an easy nuke and that felt safer. At the end of the day, that plate of food should have never been served. He had the sirloin steak and shrimp combo. The steak was so tough it was almost impossible to cut. The shrimp and rice were unseasoned. I get that they draw an older crowd here but how about a little salt & pepper? Management must be asleep at the wheel because I went from a fan that liked the food to not a fan that will never eat food from this location again. Sad

  • Vic K.

Solid 3 stars. The price is good. Friendly staff. The food is tasty but salty. I guess I come here cause it's comfort food, not health food. But damnnnn start jogging to compensate. Onion rings are good but could be cooked a little more. Burger- great. Ribs- great. Chicken tenders- very good.. I'll come back again. No I didn't eat all that. Just stole a little when my kids weren't looking.. : )

I've been frequenting this store for several years now. I was introduced to this chain in Dallas about 15 years ago and was somewhat excited to see it open locally here. I've enjoyed most of the food here and the prices are pretty affordable. However, the service at this location has always been inconsistent. My wife and I went about 2 weeks ago and were seated immediately only to wait another 15 minutes without being acknowledged. We got up and walked out. I would have remarked to the hostess on the way out, but there was no one there either. So, I was hankerin' for the cajun pasta and we went back last night. We were seated immediately and had our drink order placed in less than two minutes. Our food was ordered just a couple of minutes later and our food came out in a relatively quick manner. Our food was good. I enjoyed my cajun pasta very much and my wife had a blackened salmon that she was happy with as well. Since they've opened, I have had a wide variety of service. I've walked out after being ignored a few times. I've had great service many times. I've had mediocre/acceptable service more often than anything. The place always seems to be busy and I've never any issues with customizing orders (get a side of the edamame spice with the fish tacos - for some serous flavor). When we decide that we want to eat at Cheddar's, we always make a back-up plan in case there's a huge line at the door or we get ignored once we're seated. If the service was more consistent on the better side, I'd eat there at least once a week and give them more than 3 stars. Your mileage may vary.

Been to many Cheddars' across the country, this place is awesome. Best part of the experience was Bess, our server. Shout out to her; she made the whole meal a genuine delight!

Lemon pepper chicken was dry, napa chicken sandwich had wilted greens on it. My boyfriend and I ordered drinks and after 15 minutes, we asked him about them, and he said he didn't take the order and the other server didn't put it in (he did take it). They came 10 minutes later, I ordered the landslide martini but they gave me what looked like an ice cream sundae. When I told them I wanted a drink and not dessert, they said I would like this better. But it wasn't what ordered so that was frustrating. I asked them to remove it from my tab and gave it back. I didn't order another drink for fear of retaliation (all the servers seemed like they were straight from the cast of the movie waiting) and waiting another 20 minutes for another incorrect drink

Stephanie was our server and she was awesome! Very prompt service, very friendly. ^_^ I had the grilled miso salmon served over ginger rice. Cooked well, flaky without being dry. My boyfriend had the gigantic fried chicken salad. Crisp greens and fresh veg, lightly battered chicken.

I love this place! You get so much food for such a good price and you always know you will get good service. Their chicken tenders are awesome, salads are great too. The drinks are cheap and tasty but don't have a lot of alcohol in them.

Work week dinner, quick in & out. Friendly service, food you can count on - standard American fair. Nothing that can be considered outstanding but a good meal at a reasonable price.

Little slow in the service tonight but as usual food is amazing. Fried spazania bites had just the right amount of cheese. Steak was prepared exactly as I ordered it and the sever was helpful and sweet! For the price this place can't be beat!!

Had a great meal here. Everything was fresh and my ribs were better than most bbq places we've been to in Tampa. Drinks were good and cheap. The food is very reasonably priced. Service was great and we didnt feel rushed at all although we stayed catching up with our friends for quite a while. They have a nice patio area. Will definately be back.

My girls and I went here for Happy Hour. Our server was Anessa. She was awesome! She was very attentive, and accommodative. Their drinks are very affordable, and I have yet to come to Cheddar's and not be pleased with the service and food. Now although I am a vegan now, it's very hard to find places that I am able to eat at. But Cheddar's has a meal on their menu called the veggie plate, you may get a house salad or soup with 4 sides. The veggies were very flavorful and not dull tasting like a lot of establishments have. I was impressed! We'll definitely be back for a girls happy hour for sure.

Oh my! Great service, incredible food. Loved it. We showed up with 10 people without a reservation. It wasn't busy (11:30 am on Saturday) Ordered onion rings and combination appetizers. Great flavors! I ordered the rib/shrimp combo. Ribs were most excellent! Cheesy broccoli side was great as well. We saved room and had the chocolate chip cookie sundae. Fudge sauce was way above par. We'll be back!

We regularly go here because of the price. You can get a good bacon cheeseburger and a beer without emptying your wallet. Service has always been good and place is pretty clean. Try the onion rings.

  • Marty C.

We come here every two weeks or so to get some reliable chow at a good price. We usually start out with a soup or salad. For entrees, we have had most of what the menu has to offer and we usually get the chicken and shrimp combo or the Crispy Chicken salad and there is always enough to take home. The Philly cheese steak, burgers and ribs are tasty, too. It's always hard to resist their onion rings. If you like dipping sauces, this is the place for you! A friend turned me onto their Monster Cookie...OMG!

To die for croissants, huge portions, pretty good food, this place is a solid 4. We got there around 5:30 p.m. on a Friday and this place was packed! It was absolutely filled with people over the age of 60. There is a huge group of benches outside that you can sit while you wait. It was nice. You must get a croissant with your meal. It is delicious. It is buttery, honey soaked goodness. I ate mine then I ate half of a friends. I got the Vegetable Plate which I loved! It is under the salads, but it is not a salad. You get a choice of a soup and then four sides plus a croissant. Best. Idea. Ever. I love having a variety of food and this allowed me to try four different sides and a soup. I got the potato soup and it came with bacon and cheese drizzled on it. I loved it. For my sides I got the loaded baked potato, the coleslaw, the broccoli cheese casserole, and the baked beans and rice. There was almost no rice in the baked beans and rice. Plus it was spicy. I ended up not eating it. The baked potato was fine, but I probably would not get it again. I liked the coleslaw, but the real winner was the broccoli casserole. Absolutely delicious. Next time I would consider getting two servings of that. I was stuffed after my meal. This is definitely a place I want to come back to to try other menu items!

Our server was excellent, and he was brand new! We had excellent service from the hostesses, to the manager. The food was delicious, and came out very fast! The heaping portion of spasagna was a great take on traditional lasagna, and the fall apart braised beef roast was hearty with plenty of flavor. Although the restaurant appeared crowded, we didn't even wait 5 minutes!

    (5)
  • Sam M.

The good: The bartender (I had at least) is great and the place has a nice atmosphere. The bad: Food is only so-so and they have very limited vegetarian options. Not a bad place if you're close and in the area, but nothing worth traveling to.

I've been coming here for 4 years. The food and the service have been consistently great! You really get a lot for your money. I've never had to send anything back. I ordered the Asian chicken and shrimp salad.

  • Robbie C.

Not a vegetarian friendly place. I do eat fish so decided to have the grilled salmon. Gave it three stars because our server informed me that the rice is cooked with chicken stock, the broccoli and cheese is made with pork. Cheap eats but I think most of it is microwaved and they don't cook many things fresh. Would gladly pay higher prices for freshly cooked foods. If I wanted to microwave, I'd eat popcorn at home.

Went there after a beach trip for a birthday dinner. Waited 5 minutes to be seated which was no big deal. Everything everyone ordered was very delicious even the kids meals and served in a timely manner. Will definitely go back.

Excellent experience! My wife and I came down for our annual trip to Indian Rocks with every intention of trying new restaurants and food every night. That plan went well until one day, we found Cheddars!well , we kind of stalled there.. Great food, excellent service consistently over the course of 5 or six straight days of eating there( the last days of our vacation) . The ambience is very nice when you arrive for dinner at 5( as we usually planned) . Leave it until 7 and the rush is on and it gets a little noisier.. Not noisy enough to dissuade us from going, mind you. The food is amazing and truly tastes cooked from scratch. My wife enjoyed the lemon pepper chicken, chicken pot pie, and crispy chicken salad. She also says both the Caesar salad , and house salad were the best she ever had. For me it was the ribs and the 12 oz ribeye that I couldn't get away from. Delicious ! The price is more than reasonable. 12 oz ribeye or full rack of fall off the bone ribs, entree for the wife, salad for the wife .. Sometimes an app for me.. And 1 -2 huge drinks( try the painkiller!) never paid more than 50$ including a generous and well deserved tip! I highly recommend Cheddars and will be searching for them now wherever we go( we had never heard of them before). Enjoy!( we know you will)

Cheddars is not a chain that I know of, and they seem to do no advertising -- but tend to be quite busy. I like this place. There is a nicely diversified menu of casual food. The appetizers and deserts are great. For lunch I like the soup/salad/sandwich ultimate combo. Lunch entrees are under $10 and some are under $8. The food quality is good and the service is very good. For a casual lunch or dinner -- Cheddars is a great choice. Pro Tip -- if you want the Monster Cookie Sundae, it takes 20 minutes to bake fresh, so order it early!

I was pleasantly surprised after my first experience dining at Cheddar's. They have an extensive, almost overwhelming menu with the typical fare you'd expect at a casual American chain. I had a very hard time deciding on my lunch since I was so hungry and everything sounded great! We started with the spinach dip, which was amazing. We didn't leave an ounce in the bowl. It was thicker and more creamy than most spinach dips, and probably terrible for my waistline, but my fellow spinach dip connoisseurs won't be disappointed. For my meal, I went with the lunch combo. You can choose either two or three of the following: soup, salad, half of a club sandwich, or a baked potato. I chose the chicken tortilla soup (which had a nice kick) and a salad. I had filled up so much on the spinach dip that I didn't eat much of either one, but both were good. Have I mentioned the portions are HUGE and the prices are LOW? You can expect to be bringing home a doggy bag. This was a nice departure from the more common chain restaurants, and I recommend it if you're in the area.

I have dined here several times for lunch. They are very quick with the food delivery. The lunch portions are amazing for $7.49-$7.99. They have a half sandwich and two sides combo for $7.99. I had a half Monte Cristo, which was more like a full sandwich, cup of soup, and full size dinner salad for $7.99. The food was good. The service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is clean overall. We were pleased with our visit and will return.

Man ...I just had one of the best Dinners ever! First off, the Waitress was a sweetheart from the get go. My wife ordered a Cherry Lime Aide Drink I ordered a un sweet Iced Tea. She ordered a Chicken Sandwich w/ applewood Bacon. I was kinda sketchie about ordering the Catfish because I have had a bad experience at another joint when they served me a rotten piece so I've never trusted ordering catfish again. Well I'm glad I took a chance tonite. I had two large pieces of Cajun Catfish over rice that wen from one side of the plate to the other. Nice and fresh and not fatty n rotten, and the Cajun seasoning wasn't over powering. The waitress brought me a refill without me asking and she didn't have to ask either, that's proper service. The place is very clean and isn't scummy and the Tea taste like Tea. I have been here a few times in the past and cant remember when the last time we were here but I think I might at least hit this place once a month. And for under 24 Bux with a drink and Diner for two you can't do go wrong.

Atmosphere was great, clean, loud and good for kids. The service was quick and friendly. However, the food was mediocre at best. Chicken and waffles were just kids chicken fingers over a dry a waffle, Shepards pie was a heap of grease, ribs were greasy and the onion rings that everyone raves about were tasteless. Not impressed and will not be back.

My girlfriend and I just had Dinner. Service: We were seated right away. The Server was nice but the food and drinks were very slow to arrive. The Manager addressed concerns near the end of the meal with a card for a free appetizer. Food: The edamame was warm and mushy. The rack of hickory ribs were tasty. The broccoli casserole was good. The chicken wrap was good. The finale was the baked cookie, which was decent. Final thoughts: The Manager said he would take care of the edamame but it was still on the bill. The total bill was $40 and I left a 20% tip. When I arrived home, my stomach was upset and I had to take Imodium. I will not be going back.

We have been here many times. There is usually a wait but the food is worth it. If you really don't want to wait there is usually seating in the bar area. We've never had a bad meal here always good or better. The only draw back is the noise level is very high. We highly recommend it.

My husband and I went there lastnight for dinner. We got seated very quickly and received our drinks quickly too. After that it went down hill, we ordered chips and salsa that took forever to find out the we only had a little chips do we asked for more. The waitress said they would be right out however we got our dinner before the chips and we had to ask for then again. I started eating and I cut my inner lip on the fork there was a very sharp piece of the fork that was jagged and my husband mentioned it to the waitress and only thing she said was "oh". She never offered to bring me a new fork. I had to finish my dinner after my husband so I could use his fork. I will not be going back.

Average food. Slow service for a party of 7 at lunch. Waitress was a bit short with us about the food taking so long to come out.

3.5 stars. Pretty good food, good portions for the money. Margaritas were decent, nothing special. Good family meal.

I'm always amazed with other people's reviews. Before I write one I check what other folks have said about a restaurant/store/business. Now Cheddar's is a restaurant that doesn't advertise, (at least I've never seen any) yet it's always jam packed. To me that's a great sign of things to come. On this evening our party of 5 arrived early at 5:15 PM (a must if you don't like waiting) and was seated promptly. Our drink orders (they have some great mixers) were taken and arrived soon thereafter. Our waitress Chris (her first day) was friendly and what she couldn't answer was prompt in getting the questions answered for us. My wife had the chicken tenders ( the best we've ever tasted ) her dinner came with a side salad and her choice of Broccoli Cheese casserole, soooo good! I chose to change what I usually get, so I got for my dinner Chicken Pot Pie and Potato soup. Now I've never had Potato soup in my life. But, tonight I walked on the "wild side" and tried something new. Was I ever glad. Potato soup where have you been all my life!! This wonderful concoction was creamy, flavorful, goodness, with bacon, onions, celery, and cheddar cheese. My Chicken Pot Pie was also creamy, flavorful, with a delicate pastry puff crown. The rest of our party had grilled Chicken Breast with side veggies, more Chicken Tenders (they are so good), and Fish Taco's with a "to die for" tartar sauce that has a southwest flare to it. Very, very, good food. So back to my first sentence. I'm amazed at other people's reviews. We've been here 10-12 times the past few years. Never have I had a bad meal. Never. Of course everyone has an off day, restaurants and reviewers......... just one of the lucky ones I guess. The one draw back to this spot, it's kinda loud no matter where you sit.

The smokehouse burger I ordered was good, although not medium rare as requested and the side veggies were overcooked and bland. My coworkers, both regulars, were in love with the buttery croissants, salad and sandwiches they ordered. The service was very professional and speedy. Prices were a little below average compared to similar American chain restaurants. I'd probably revisit again for lunch with coworkers since the service was so speedy, but I wouldn't make a special trip.

No wait for seating at the bar with a full menu. Left satisfied after enjoying the chicken pot pie which came with a salad and croissant. $10 with tip was a good deal for a light dinner.

The food here is a step over chilis or Applebee's. it's definitely still a 'chain' atmosphere which is not my personal favorite.

Food wasn't great or bad... Just was. Server was attentive even though the kitchen was having problems getting the product out. Manager came by every table but ours to apologize for the wait on the food... Oh well...

Order Fried Onion Rings, Milk Shakes, and Dessert -- skip the rest of the menu at the Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater location. My burger was over-cooked and mashed down during grilling which removes all juiciness; I asked for mustard instead of mayo when ordering but never got it so I had to dip the edges in ketchup (already on the table) to choke it down; the mushrooms were whole round canned little rubber balls that kept falling off -- they were definitely not the fresh sauteed mushrooms listed on the menu . Plus, because neither my friend nor I wanted the extra-charge fries and slaw, the extremely dry burgers were just plopped down on large dinner plates with no garnish and lots of empty space. Very poor presentation on the kitchen's part. But the onion rings as an appetizer were hot and great tasting with a single order large enough for four to share. The same large portion appeared with the very good chocolate cake and ice cream although the chocolate sauce was very grainy (the culinary word is "seized" when this happens to chocolate) which in a chain restaurant was surprising; four of us could not even finish the cake. The milk shake was a generous amount also, actually about one and a half yummy servings. The wait at 5:00 on a Saturday was extremely long but the front desk staff was very efficient and courteous as was the server even though she forgot the mustard twice. The place is very, very loud and you will have to shout at your dinner companions to have any type of conversation and the tile floor can be terribly slippery. We have been to the Cheddar's in Pinellas Park several times and the food is much better there but I guess it all depends on who is cooking what on any particular day. That P.P. one is also too loud to talk to each other while dining.

I've been to Cheddar's many times but today it really hit me: the food is not good. The dessert? Good. Regular menu? Not good. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad and asked for the chicken to be grilled instead of fried. I should have just left it the way it was. The chicken came out lightly seared and with a weird consistency. It was clear to me it was microwaved. Another clue? My friend had a salad with grilled chicken and it looked completely different than mine. Ugh. The rest of the salad was unremarkable. Mainly iceberg lettuce, a mixed shredded cheese, grape tomatoes, carrot shreds, and a ranch dressing that tasted watered down. It was served with a buttery croissant and that was decent. Skip dinner and just go to Cheddar's for dessert. Their Cookie Monster is delicious along with the chocolate cake sundae.

Went here for a business lunch today after it was recommended to us by some folks. Should have realized that Yelp doesn't lie. This place was very meh. Client and I got some spinch dip to start off which was okay, nothing to write home about. I got chicken tenders and mashed potatoes and broccoli and cheese casserole. Everything was okay, but nothing amazing. Service was subpar as well. I guess the silver lining is that the place is pretty cheap.

This place is great. I really love their food as well as their service. You can't beat the prices either. I've been here about 5 times in the past 2 years and each time is a different amazing experience always wanting me to come back. I've never left hungry. The service is fast, food is hot and delicious and the prices are affordable. Highly recommend this place for anybody.

Cheddars is a nice restaurant, but don't be fooled by the name it has no Mac and cheese! When I went I had the chicken Alfredo. It was good, but the vegetables were a little raw. The service was great. All employees were very friendly and helpful, as well as knowledgable about the menu. There was a group sitting next to us who couldn't have dairy and the waitress was great about meeting there needs. Cheddars is a great family restaurant and I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice meal.

WOW! Second time here and was impressed by the food and service again. Baby back ribs were out of this world!!! If you like that sort of thing. Recommended it highly if you are in the Largo/Clearwater area. Oh yeah might want to try the Pain Killer as it's legendary with Cheddar's.....Loved it!!!

Had a group of eight for a birthday get together and the whole experience was awesome. We had potato soup, nachos, chicken strips, and burgers. Not a complaint was heard. I fed my four people for 72 dollars, including a 20% tip. Beer was cold, no wait for seating, and the server was very attentive. The atmosphere could use a reworking but, other than that it was an excellent choice for my small group. We had three beers too. :)

MMMmmm. I definitely recommend going here if you're in the area and don't know where to eat. My grandparents took me here to try the onion rings, since they say they're the best they've ever had. And they're right., the onion rings are AWESOME. I hardly ever eat fried foods- maybe once every 6 months, but this was worth it. I also got the Nappa Chicken sandwich with a side of fresh steamed broccoli. I really enjoyed my meal. The avocado was fresh, and there wasn't too much of anything. It came on a ciabatta roll, which was definitely the right bread for it. They advertise the broccoli as "buttered", but I was happy to find that it didn't taste that way. When I order vegetables, I don't want them smothered in fat, so it was nice that this restaurant thought that too. Our waitress was also good. She refilled our drinks without us even having to ask, and she was there whenever we needed something.

We went at an "off" time for business and sat tat the bar. No wait, as I have heard from so many about going here. Order Dijon Chicken and Mushrooms, and Lemon pepper Chicken. For the price, the portions were huge and I really enjoyed my Dijon Chicken. With a top shelf Long Island Iced Tea, reg tea and 2 entrees, it was $30 and we left with 2 take out containers. Ill be back but def not during peak business hours, this place does get crazy busy!!!
