Pizza Villa And Italian Restaurant Menu

Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

I got to experience the delicious gooey prize of Pizza Villa today through take out! Ordered a large cheese and it was ready right when they estimated! You can see from the accompanied picture how thin and cheesey this pizza is. Not too greasy. Staff was friendly. Two time winner of Best Pizza in Hernando County! Check it out!

I love the pizza here. We live in Tampa and anytime we are up this way we always get pizza from Pizza Villa because it's just that good. The garlic knots are so excellent.

In a sea of chain restauraunts, Pizza Villa is an oasis (ok, so I'm usually not a huge fan of chains). The place was packed on a Tuesday night, good sign! I went with a party of four and we ordered a large *super* and a medium cheese (I love cheese pizza). Good crust, great sauce, and plenty of topings. We went home stuffed, and with enough leftovers for another meal for two. There is *a lot* more than just pizza there. If we were staying in the area longer, I'd totally have come back to sample some of the other items. Dunno why yelp does not have the website, but here is the URL... you can check out the menu there: pizzavillaandrestaurant.… The staff was friendly and helpful, there is plenty of easy parking. Exceeded my expectations for NY *style* pizza in FL. That said, in Manhatten, the same slice of pie would only get 4 stars from me. All in all a great find! Thanks to the FL Yelpers for pointing me in the right direction!

I'm from NJ and this place makes me feel like I'm home again. There is no place in FL that I have found that comes close to great Italian food as this place!! True NY style pizza and other Italian dishes. Low prices and nicely decorated with pictures of the Big Apple. A piece of Little Italy in FL.

Pizza isn't bad, but, canned mushrooms???

  • Trace S.

They're great folks. It's a nice place. The pizza is decent, but I don't care for you other reviewers hyping the pizza that much. You don't do them any favors by overating the product. The pizza is fine, but you had me expecting the best pizza I've ever tried. C'mon now.

I've been in the Spring Hill/Brooksville area for nearly a dozen years now. I've tried ALL the pizza joints in town and Pizza Villa beats 'em all -- HANDS DOWN! I have not been to the location on Spring Hill Drive but the newly relocated (6 months or so) location in Brooksville takes the cake for authentic, delicious, real-deal NY pizza! Do yourself a favor and get the stromboli... if you're by yourself, JUST GET THE SMALL! Pizza Villa... surely my favorite!

Clean pleasant atmosphere or grab a huge ny style pie to take home. Best ny style in hernando and one of the best I have had.

I think the pizza at the Villa is as close as you'll get to good New York pizza. It has the thinner crust and the sauce is just right. I've also enjoyed the antipasta. I believe they may now offer delivery.

Pizza is always good and the regular Italian food is good also. I had eggplant parmesan tonight and it was big enough for me to bring home half for another day

The pizza was very good and I enjoyed the mini Greek salad sans the potato salad. (because a true Greek knows that's a Tarpon Springs thing) My father loved the spaghetti Our waiter was very patient with our group of 7. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Food is very good but the service was lacking at lunch.. From the time we sat down till we got our appetizer was 30 minutes. We got the Bruschetta and it was so vinagery that we couldn't eat it.. We told the waitress and she took it back but did not take it off of our bill.. We took 1 bite of it and were charged full price.. It took another 25 minutes till we got our main course.. I like the food but the service isn't that good..

We did get a LG pizza with 4 topping and cheese bread this evening as take-out and very disappointed. We called to express how dissatisfied we were and asked for a manager, we spoke with Brittany who then put us on hold to pull up our order and at that time Linda got on the phone. AGAIN, we expressed our disappointment and her reply was "SORRY I didn't see it come out" needless to say WE won't be going back, AWFUL!!!

Gross! My boyfriend and I are always on the hunt for the best pizza and based on the yelp reviews we checked this place out and boy do we regret it. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and ordered a Sicilian pizza to go. It took over 45 minutes for the pizza to be ready, but that's fine, we like pizza so we'll wait. We finally get it and take it back to the hotel room and it was horrid. The crust tasted stale, I have never had a pizza crust taste stale before! I couldn't believe it, it was wretched. The sauce was nothing special at all and the cheese did the pizza no favors. This place was slow, had service problems (people leaving while we were waiting for our pizza because of the lack of service only to get snappy attitude from the girl running take out) and was gross. They have signs everywhere saying "best of the county!" and if that's the best of the county, I'm afraid to try any more pizza in that area of Florida.

Decent food, good service and excellent prices. One of the better places I ate while visiting the area. Wavering between 3 and 4 stars but I'll go with 4 because they serve alcohol which adds a few points in my book :)

  • Jenna P.

In my recent travels to Florida I stumbled this absolutely amazing pizza place. The pizza is just good as in New York City, if not better! The ingredients were fresh and the staff was really friendly (and cute). Overall, great experience and I would highly recommend it.

  • Shawn J.

We have been here 3x and everytime it has been delicious. We always get the white pizza, while the oldest son gets the veal parmesan. The white pizza is made with love here. Service is always good here, and the have Peroni, which to me adds a certain something to Italian food. Only one thing I can't stand here, the plastic beer mugs. Is that pathetic that I hold back my 5th star because of plastic beer mugs?

  • Catalina D.

The staff is super friendly every single time. Their food is ridiculously good. I accidentally ordered a full dozen pepperoni bites when I meant to order only a half. I'm so glad I made that accident though. Half a dozen could never be enough. Yummmm

  • Domenic M.

Great calamari, good pizza, and decent enough service. I have no major complaints about anything I've tried, which includes half a dozen entrees and three different pizzas. This location is fairly small, and doesn't have a ton of seating. Things tend to get busy on the weekends, and parties of four or more will sometimes wait for a while before being seated.

  • Karl L.

Good Italian food! Everything tasted very fresh on my platter, from the ravioli to the stuffed shells (wonderful) to the eggplant rolitini. The kids liked the pizza, which is our usual fare when visiting the one on Spring Hill Drive. Service is friendly and personal, the restaurant is clean, and prices very good for what you get.

  • J F.

I have to agree with Emmy. I had a pizza from here because I had a card for a free one, and it wasn't very good. Crust was tough (stale?), and toppings were thin and uninspired. Pizza Hut and Poppa Johns are much better. Once was enough for me - I will go elsewhere in the future.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
