Red lobster is red lobster so I don't really expect a whole lot. However, after giving this location a long break due to badly prepared food, we gave it another shot. It is still the worst red lobster I've been to. The food was uncooked, the coffee tasted like soapwater and the service was slow. These folks simply won't see me again, plenty of good seafood restaurants around.

All I can say is my family really enjoyed our lunch here at this Red Lobster to help celebrate my mother's 2 1/2 year cancer survivorship as of yesterday when she was read her bone marrow biopsy results by her Hematologist doctor. Our lunch was really great and tasteful especially the New England Clam Chowder and the Hawaiian Island Tallapia it was delicious.

Not too impressive. The basic service is good. However, the cleanliness is not what Red Lobster used to be. The food is disappointing. Don't think you are ordering something that looks like the photos in the menu. Very disappointing.

We love this red lobster. The staff is always friendly, knowledgable and quick. Tonight my husband and I shared the Ultimate Feast. It consists of a lobster tail, crab legs, shrimp scampi, Walts fried shrimp, rice pilaf and one more side of your choice, so we got a baked potato. Like Most of Red Lobster's entres it also came with a salad and delicious cheddar bay biscuits. All this food for only $26! We also ordered the calamari appetizer. It comes with fried veggies, fried peppers, grated cheese and two sauces to dip (ranch and marinara). To top off date night, we shared the chocolate wave cake. It is heavenly sweet. My hubby got a 20 ounce beer to wash it all down while I sipped on sweet iced tea. We were already having a great time, but our bill of $55 definitely gave us one more reason to smile.

Say what you will about chain restaurants but I dare you to find better coconut shrimp with the most delicious piña collata sauce! Always packed, so be prepared to wait. Friendly and efficient servers. And those biscuits,,,to die for. Love the choose your own combo menu so you can get a couple of your favorite items on the same plate. For a chain,,no complaints, except it's a bit pricey! Oh well, you pay for what you like, right?

The commercials for the Endless Shrimp looked so appetizing I decided to give it a try. I went in the middle of a weekday afternoon, so it was not crowded at all. Service was very good. The flavor of the endless shrimp offerings was good+. The problem was that the shrimp used for each of the dishes were extremely small in size. I know the difference between small, medium, large, and extra large shrimp, and these were small at best. Not baby shrimp you might get as an add on to a salad, but many were no more than twice the size of a baby shrimp. I would not repeat for the price of $16.99 + tax + tip.

Ok so I've been at this red lobster now for over an hour starving waiting on all you can eat shrimp waitress didn't show up for over 20 min took another 20 mins for a water still waiting on my salad I will not be returning and I wish I could've gave it - 5 stars this is crap and the service is horrible

5 Stars for Red Lobster? Really? A chain restaurant? A Darden owned chain restaurant? Puhlease. But let me continue. Friday night, our usual celebrate the end of the week night out. Having gift cards for eateries makes a solid argument, so off to RL Brandon. Actually we don't mind RL because they have some things we really like. Their cheddar biscuits are hot, soft and very tasty. Wife loves their coconut shrimp and I like fish in general so once in a while we visit RL. The place was packed overflowing to outside. We were told 20-25 minute wait. It certainly was no longer than that and we were seated. Our server, Eddie H. was as solid as they come. He did not commit the "guys" sin and properly greeted us as "folks". Yeah! We started with salads, they were chilled, fresh and tasty. Wife did her usual coconut shrimp and I did what I'm calling the Lobster overload, a Maine tail, a rock tail and lobster Alfredo with pilaf. Wife's shrimp came out with 9, yes 9 shrimp. Too much for her so she gets a bonus Saturday lunch. Mine came out as advertised. The rock tail was good size and the Maine was smaller but that's ok, both were hot, cooked right and delicious. I picked the lobster and shrimp out of the Alfredo and left the pasta.....just way too much food. Eddie H. did everything right, he was awesome. Great service, good food, what in heaven's name is wrong with Darden? Four stars for the food which was great and that elusive fifth star belongs to Eddie H. Good job Ed, you deserve it.

Stopped in for a quick lunch at the bar . Kalie the server was polite and made a excellent recommendation. Seasonal dish called grouper New Orleans. Off the chart flavor ... Would order it again!!!! Lobster soup was just as delicious! Enjoy the pic!

Have not been to one in years as we had not been impressed but visiting family wanted to go and we were pleasantly surprised. Coming from New England as our hometowns I always compare seafood to great restaurants in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. The cheddar biscuits were fresh and hot out of the oven. Melt in your mouth and don't need butter. The lobster stuffed mushroom oozed with cheese and large pieces of lobster. Sinfully delicious!!! The shrimp platter had 3 different varieties of shrimp including fried butterflied shrimp with cocktail sauce, shrimp scampi and shrimp Alfredo. All had a unique flavor but pretty rich to have all on one plate. Portion sizes are huge and can easily be shared. Prices varied according to fish ordered but comparable to other restaurants. Waitstaff was extremely friendly and efficient. Had taken Red Lobster off my list of restaurants but now it is back on.

Parrot Isle coconut shrimp and a tail, done right. See Angelo for the best service in the restaurant. He will take care of you and is generous with the delicious bisquits. You rock

Chris T. at this location is a great server. We, a party of 6, arrived very late, near closing time, and two of our guests did after close. They still let them in and he provided impeccable service with a great personality. While the food quality is of course representative of a chain, and not 5 stars, his service is 5 stars; real talk. Good experience.

This Red Lobster had some pretty good service, and though the wait was monstrous, I did have a party of thirteen with me for a friends birthday. The waitresses and waiters worked very well together to make sure we always had food by our sides, whether it was unlimited garlic breads, salad, or our main course. The workers were very friendly to our many concerns, and my only complain has to be that when they brought us new drinks and new breads they were not picking up the empty baskets and cups which led to some clutter, besides that the food was great and the service too.

3 stars!? This RL deserves 5, my waitress Loren was awesome. Just enough well balanced service. Food is...it's RL, tastes uniformed everywhere.

Having our Yelp event at this Red Lobster was a great idea! Thank you! It's not that I don't like Red Lobster, I just don't ever really think about it that often as a choice destination to solve my hunger woes. After this event I will think again! From the moment we walked into the door, we were greeted by, who we found out later, was the GM for the Red Lobster and the Operations Manager as well. They were very friendly and showed us where we need to go for the event. My friends and I found some seats and immediately were greeted with Cheddar biscuits! (It's things like this that make me glad I run as much as I do!) I chowed down!!! We then got drinks and were told how the evening would go. They were allowing us to try some of the newest menu items and they all were delicious! The Spicy Chili shrimp was my favorite of the night. I even had an impromptu "put my foot in my mouth" moment with the GM as she over heard me say, "It's like Bang Bang shrimp". These are much better!!! Seriously!!! Some of the other delicious menu items were Lobster pizza, Buffalo Chicken bites, fish tacos and the Lobster Grilled cheese! YUM!!! The new menu items were also listed on the tables with the prices and they are very reasonable. I thought the service was phenomenal and the food was great! I can't wait to go to Red Lobster again!

I went to red lobster to try out lobster fest. I got the dueling lobster that included a lobster tail with stuffed shrimp and a lobster tail with stuffed crab. It was alot of lobster which was a plus but it tasted just ok for the price and very salty. The decor and food seems dated. For the price I would prefer bonefish which has a more innovative menu with fresher taste.

I come here quite often. I have never been disappointed with a meal here. The location is convenient- of course this does bring big crowds on weekend evenings. Anytime I have come here I never waited more than 20-25 minutes which isn't bad in my opinion. The biscuits are the BEST- we end up gettiinf refills and even taking a bag or two home :-) They have a lot to offer on their menu even if you are not a seafood lover. Chicken, steak, and fish... They even have delicios drinks and desserts! The Sunset Passion Colada is my fav- it's fruity and delicious! I usually don't have room for dessert but the few times I have- it's been delicious as well. Prices are reasonable and service is good. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good place to eat- especially if you enjoy seafood!

  • Gerald S.

Endless shrimp is not for true shrimp lovers. The shrimps are extremely tiny. The various dishes are over salty and oily. The fish dishes are also disappointing and unappealing. The only thing interesting were their biscuits. Tis is not a restaurant for sea food lovers!

    (2)
  • Russell F.

I genuinely do not understand the appeal of McLobster. The food is dismal. Their much ballyhooed "shrimpfest" features shrimp better described as insects than as something coming from the ocean. They're small and tough and prepared with all the love one might find in a county prison cafeteria. While my wife worked through the endless shrimp, I had fish and chips which featured a ridiculously small amount of "chips" and one large, tasteless, overly breaded piece of fish. If food quality means nothing to you, then Red Lobster is the place to go.

Took my grandmother here for a lady's night out. I really did not know what to expect from this chain- I am from Massachusetts so I know good seafood. However, I was pleasantly surprised! Great service, our waitress was super attentive and did not seem to mind we were talking a lot and being slow to order. Gram had the lobster pizza- it was really good! Very thin crust, basil, and generous portion of good lobster! I had the garlic shrimp.. I could have used a bit more garlic, but they had good flavor overall! I loved the wild rice, and the broccoli was steamed, so not mushy like a lot of restaurants. And of course.. lobster butter on the side.. delicious! The biscuits are amazing- so much butter, and garlic, and yumminess. Don't be afraid that its a chain- it's good

After almost a decade of not visiting Red Lobster, we were reunited at a recent Yelp event. I have to say, I was very impressed at all their new menu items (and old ones...ahem, the cheddar bay biscuits are as good as ever). I am usually hesitant to order seafood at less expensive restaurants, in fear that it will taste "too fishy", but that was not the case with any of the food we tried at our event. They now have their own (possibly better?) version of bang bang shrimp, a lobster pizza, and a lobster grilled cheese. The lobster grilled cheese was by far my favorite. I will definitely be back to Red Lobster just to have this again! At the event we attended, we got to meet some of upper management of the restaurant, and they were all super friendly and helpful. It also appears that over the past few years, the inside of Red Lobster has undergone a renovation to make it more elegant. I was impressed with the decor, and it definitely gave it a more expensive atmosphere with not as expensive prices!

Waited to cool down before posting... Was in Red Lobster in Brandon, Florida for my Birthday 12/11.. Waitress couldn't get the drink order correct. Completely forgot the appetizers. "Forgot" to order one of entrees.. Which meant that because we waited, the other two entrees were almost cold. Even though it was mentioned several times, no Birthday song.. Maybe you should shut down, restaff, do some intense training, then reopen.. P/ S No Management apologies..

What in the world happened to Red Lobster? I haven't been in a few years, but I was feeling seafood last night and had a Darden Restaurants gift card. Why not eh? Decided to try the Four Course Feast. Started with spicy chicken tortilla soup which was just awful. It tasted like something from Campbell's but watered down. Would have been ok if it was the sauce on a meal but as a soup it was just bad. The salad was good and consistent with what I remember from RL. The biscuits seemed a bit off...maybe my taste buds have changed but I feel like they used to be more flavorful. I'm starting a new paragraph here because I feel that the Shrimp and Scallop Alfredo dish deserves it. Oh my gosh, this was so terrible. The shrimp and scallops were the size of a penny, the noodles were cheap and the alfredo sauce was run of the mill. If you had blindfolded me and told me it was Lean Cuisine afterwards, I would have believed you. Just despicable because even though it's a chain, RL usually has at least decent seafood and portions. Had the key lime pie for dessert and it was ok, really no opinion on it either way. My server, Gary, was tremendous and I left him a really nice tip...but really I have no reason to ever go back to Red Lobster. The food was always decent but they have gone the way of so many other places...shrink the meat and charge the same price. Oh well.

I personally am a fan of Red Lobster. I used to go here with my family for many occasions, so it has some sentimental value to it. I recently went there with a friend and frankly, I was not disappointed. The service was very good. The cheese biscuits are quite dangerous if you want to save room for your actual meal. I ordered the Parmesan crusted Tilapia and I gobbled it up. Is it the best food, no. But, I will certainly eat here again!

well was out with family deciced to get something to eat so we stoped at red lobster havent been for many years and thought my daughter might like the lobster tank. i dont usually go to chains but they offer a kid meal and a satisfactory consistentcy, but not this time. we were seated right away, but took some time before i was greeted (enough time for my wife and 4 year old to use the rest room) finally put in order for me a stella and my wife orderd a kamikazie on rocks with extra lime,we recieved a luke warm stella and the kamikaza not only did not have extra lime had no lime at all in it,well no chance in getting the waiter so i took her drink to the bar myself and had it fixed .then we orded the seafood sampler 11.95 when it arrived my wife complined about the shrimp cocktail so i took a bite no flavor and soggy frozen precooked shrimp REALLY AT A SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IN FLORIDA!!!!!!! so i waited for the waiter took a while told him to please send over the manager - Devon, he appologized and took them away as we didnt eat the over cooked cocounut shrimp either. my wife orderd the 4 course special 15.95 which consisted of unimpresive potato bacon soup compliments of sysco soup in a bag ,then a ceasar salad with no dressing premade croutons my wife asked for it to be dressed the waiter brought her thick paste like cesar about 6 min later, then a entree of cocunut shrimp( Mostly coconut not much shrimp)and grilled pineapple mango shrimp over pre maid rice pilaf.I orderd thai chilli shrimp app 8.95 and lobster pizza 9.95 the pizza was horrible cold and not loaded with any lobster a couple of pieces and a little bit of langastinos which were over cooked and lackluster thai chilli shrimp with the breading falling off .the whole evening was a whole lot of waiting for a whole lot of nothing !!!!! I dont expect gormet from chains but i do expect meidocarcy and the they failed a ffff+++++ Scott Megna

Red Lobster has the best biscuits I've ever had anywhere. It's enough to make me want to go back again for those alone. I'm not a seafood fan, but I tried their lobster and it was smooth, buttery, and delicious. I went on a Friday night and the wait was a bit long, but that's to be expected of any good restaurant. My visit was several months ago and I'm still thinking about those biscuits. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I read the negative reviews on this location, but I disagree. Unfortunately the chain has pulled of St Pete so when we happened to be in Brandon, I got a hankering for those awesome biscuits, which are as good as ever. Oh yeah, a location closer to home.

We deiced to try out this Red Lobster because the Olive Garden next to it had an 40 min wait. But it wasn't a bad experience at all, We where sat right down at our table and there waiter came a few minutes later he took our drinks and appetizer while we looked over the menu more. I decided on the unlimited shrimp which was very good and I don't remember what my fiance got but she had no complaints about it. The appitizer we got was calimari and it really wasnt that good.

Love this place. They have done a awesome renovation and the tables are nice and cozy. I especially love coming during their promotion of three course meal for $15. The waiters are always friendly and even if you have to wait awhile to sit, I think the food is worth the wait.

Sometimes my wife and I will go here when we are in the neighborhood seeing a movie or shopping. The cheese biscuits are amazing and addictive. The service is pretty good at times, but like any place you have your hit or miss moments. While my expectations are a little lower because of being a nationwide chain rather than something that has a local delicacy I just wish the menu would have a better fish selection. The shrimp and lobster is good which is something I would expect, but the fish selection is somewhat limited. Call me crazy, but sometimes while someone enjoys the fried death on the menu sometimes I just enjoy a piece of fish and I just seem not to be able to find what I am looking for at times at these restaurants.

This is my second visit to this Red Lobster in a year. First time the biscuits were bland but I thought it was a fluke. Went tonight and ordered the whole steamed Maine lobster dinner and had to send it back because it was rubbery and the meat stuck to the shell, indicating overlooked. Manager offered a replacement so I accepted, but the second one was as bad as the first. The "chef" at this location has no idea how to cook a lobster. Would not recommend this location to anyone.

  • Meg B.

I do have to say I have only been here once so far but the experience was good. I went with a friend from work for lunch and we did not have to wait at all. The cheddar biscuits are VERY good and are offered complimentary. On my visit I got a create your own lunch deal for just under $10 and had a nice little dish of broiled bay scallops and some garlic shrimp scampi, both of which were very good. We split a warm chocolate chip lava cookie for a dessert and it was also delicious. Overall I think I only spent $15-18 on myself which is a little pricey for lunch, but considering we had lunch and dessert technically I would say it was reasonable. The servers were prompt and courteous as well. I do have to say one reason I haven't gone again is that this place gets PACKED at dinner time. There is definitely no avoiding a wait on a weekend especially given the close proximity to the AMC theater and the mall.

Oh well.

We had the all you can eat shrimp and it was great. They bring as much as you want. Those biscuits are to die for! Good service.

Love this place. They have done a awesome renovation and the tables are nice and cozy. I especially love coming during their promotion of three course meal for $15. The waiters are always friendly and even if you have to wait awhile to sit, I think the food is worth the wait.

Stopped here out of necessity - it was the only place with parking available. Had to wait quite a while but that would have been the same everywhere. Service was very good and food was as good as I have ever had at a Red Lobster.

Would not recommend this location to anyone.

well was out with family deciced to get something to eat so we stoped at red lobster havent been for many years and thought my daughter might like the lobster tank. i dont usually go to chains but they offer a kid meal and a satisfactory consistentcy, but not this time. we were seated right away, but took some time before i was greeted (enough time for my wife and 4 year old to use the rest room) finally put in order for me a stella and my wife orderd a kamikazie on rocks with extra lime,we recieved a luke warm stella and the kamikaza not only did not have extra lime had no lime at all in it,well no chance in getting the waiter so i took her drink to the bar myself and had it fixed .then we orded the seafood sampler 11.95 when it arrived my wife complined about the shrimp cocktail so i took a bite no flavor and soggy frozen precooked shrimp REALLY AT A SEAFOOD RESTAURANT IN FLORIDA!!!!!!! so i waited for the waiter took a while told him to please send over the manager - Devon, he appologized and took them away as we didnt eat the over cooked cocounut shrimp either. my wife orderd the 4 course special 15.95 which consisted of unimpresive potato bacon soup compliments of sysco soup in a bag ,then a ceasar salad with no dressing premade croutons my wife asked for it to be dressed the waiter brought her thick paste like cesar about 6 min later, then a entree of cocunut shrimp( Mostly coconut not much shrimp)and grilled pineapple mango shrimp over pre maid rice pilaf.I orderd thai chilli shrimp app 8.95 and lobster pizza 9.95 the pizza was horrible cold and not loaded with any lobster a couple of pieces and a little bit of langastinos which were over cooked and lackluster thai chilli shrimp with the breading falling off .the whole evening was a whole lot of waiting for a whole lot of nothing !!!!! I dont expect gormet from chains but i do expect meidocarcy and the they failed a ffff+++++ Scott Megna

I have always like this chain. The particular store was very clean and the atmosphere was very subdued.. Meal was good the service was as it should be good. Every thing came out piping hot! and I enjoyed my meal.

Red Lobster's are Red Lobsters. The food is always pretty good no matter where you go. The service here has been a little slow but overall pretty good.
