Bens Soft Pretzels

1208 E Brandon Blvd

Reviews:
Being of Amish heritage, I am always suspicious when a business claims Amish authenticity. Ben's holds up to their claim. The pretzels are soft, and addictingly delicious. They have a good number of dipping sauces to choose from, but the pretzel stands on its own, flavor-wise. Pretzels are fresh, and if you order, for example, sugar and cinnamon, you don't receive a pretzel that's been sitting there under the lights that heat the sugar, giving it a more burnt flavor. Your pretzel gets the sugar and cinnamon applied once you order, so it maintains that freshness in every way. Their staff is friendly and welcoming, accommodating special requests and creating a fun, happy atmosphere. I always like to visit when I go to Wal-Mart because they go out of their way to be sure I am happy. I have even been known to stop in when I had no other shopping to do - they are that good. I also love their pretzel dogs, and I am looking forward to tasting their warm, melted peanut butter on some buggy bites today... or maybe some pretzel sticks...they go extremely well with dipping!

Great place for tasty and affordable Latin cuisine. Try the Ropa Veija for sure! Lunch is $5-$6 for the entrees and dinner is $9-$11. The coffee is fantastic, with a large selection of Cuban coffees, lattes (con leche), frozen drinks, etc. They also have a wide selection of sandwiches. The service is also very personable and top notch.

Wow! I can't believe I've been driving by this place all this time without stopping. By far the best Mexican food I've had in Florida. I have a disability that's made it difficult to cook for my kids. We've exhausted carry out in the area. A gem of gluten free food! The meat was of high quality. The gordita was amazing. My daughter got fajitas and the box was packed with chicken breast. We got glass bottles of coke, all for $19. There is a small charge if you use a credit card.
I've had the tacos and gorditas...filled with carnitas, carne asada, and carne al pastor...ALL amazing!
Excellent tacos in Brandon. Nothing fancy and instead of a bus it is a step van. I cannot recommend anything on the menu except for the steak tacos. I cannot bring myself to try anything else. Been coming here for about two months and the crowd is slowly building as word gets out.

Very impressed.. Good was exactly how I requested it and the ordering process was so easy.. Food was right on time tonight and very good.. Changed my opinion on dominoes great job and service.. Will use again and highly recommend
It's unhealthy how much my family order's from Domino's lol but they're consistently delicious. They have great deals on the regular so be sure to look out for those. They even offer a cheese-less pizza for those who can't/shouldn't eat cheese (like myself). If you're not feeling pizza, the stuffed cheesy bread is just as filling. My favorite is the spinach and feta cheese one. The boneless wings aren't the best, but they're not gross. The only thing I don't really appreciate about their pizza is how crumby the crust is. I have to clean off my hands after every bite.
I really like this Dominos Pizza place. The food is consistently excellent and the workers are super friendly. If I don't bring up any specials they have, they bring them up to me! I actually have a standard order, but wanted to try a new pizza , which is a bit more expensive. During the order taking, the employee said "oh you probably would want our special, two topping large pizzas for $5.99 each" I said "no I heard about the specialty pizza and really want to try it". He laughed and said "no problem, whatever you would like ma'am" I really appreciate what he did; try to save me money. Most people don't care, not this group...excellent service and I will continue to frequent this place. The only thing that I could say negative about Dominos is that I can't get my favorite pizza in extra large. So sad to be denied that gooey goodness in a larger form! If you need a pizza pie fix, get it here!

Amazing and attentive staff who are truly professional and passionate about what they do. The atmosphere is immediately comfortable with ambient reggae music that is played at a perfect volume. The setup is efficient for a smaller space, but can accommodate larger groups with an outdoor patio. The food presentation is very lovely, food accompanied together with bold flavors and textures makes it an experience. There is a blend of spices and sweet that makes it indigenously authentic: don't be fooled by the portion size, you will be sufficiently stuffed! If your appetite allows, they have beautifully crafted desserts like their banana spring rolls and cheesecake filled strawberries. Please give yourself the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful place. Parking appears limited but there is ample space in the back for patrons to park. It is worth your time and money, absolutely. The chef herself will come out and talk with you, sharing her passion for food and her business. 'Welcome Home' is their theme and feeling at home is what they achieve.
Amazing place with nice music and a spotless decor. Castle creole has a nice ambiance with a really friendly staff and is the perfect spot to relax after a long day. I had the fried pork (griot) which was served with fried plantain and black rice. The presentation of the food was perfect and the taste delightful. I would say that castle creole is the best caribbean restaurant in Tampa. Would definitely recommend it.
My hubby and I had dinner here and the food was sensational!! I had conch chowder and salmon with black rice - all of it amazing! The service was great and atmosphere welcoming - nice decor and good music. We'll definitely be back!

This place is nestled in the heart of Brandon, Florida. I decided to eat here for dinner one weekend evening and was amazed by the results. For starters, they have sake flights which I've never seen and any other sushi place I've been so far. The remaining drink menu is pretty extensive with your choices of other different types of sake, beer, wine, and Japanese/Korean inspired cocktail drinks. They have a very nice selection of Japanese and Korean entrées and appetizers. The sushi, of course, is the most popular item on the menu. My favorite is the dragon roll they have there. Good stuff! The waitstaff is very timely and friendly. The atmosphere has an incredibly trendy vibe with black-and-white decore and LED lighting. I enjoy glancing over at their LED bubble fountain every now and then. All in all, a very aesthetically pleasing and tasty experience. I would totally recommend this to anyone who happens to be in the Brandon area and also enjoys good sushi and/or Korean/Japanese cuisine.
I'm in love! Yes we finally found a fantastic go to place for sushi and a lot of other fantastic Asian food! The restaurant is updated, clean and easy to find. The food is awesome and I can't wait to try more! If you're looking for a great place, this is IT!
This is my second time visiting Sushi Maru. My first time, about six months ago, wasn't good. It took some time, but I did want to try it again. The second visit was much better than the first. I don't like writing three star reviews, because I feel like it's a bad rating, though, it's not. It's an average rating. I didn't find Sushi Maru had anything special to offer. If anything, I feel they fell short of expectations considering the price. This place is super expensive for an average strip mall sushi restaurant. This time, we had the crab rangoon, Playboy, Red Dragon, and Sake Rotika. All three were good, but I didn't really notice anything different between the Red Dragon and the Sake Rotika. One is made with salmon, and the other has tuna, but the taste was nearly identical. They were just loaded down with the sauce, it was a little overpowering. The crab rangoon were okay. Not bad, but I wouldn't order them again. Overall, I think this is a good restaurant that gets a little overzealous with the sauce, and has an overpriced menu.

Just yum. Hidden in the corner of the plaza next to Wendys... well worth looking for. Great local art available for purchase. Ice cream is always delicious, awesome place to stop after dinner :)
Where has this place been all my life?? When you first walk in the smell of freshly baked waffle cones are so intriguing. The walls are decorated in original art and the space is filled with mismatched furniture which adds a retro hipster flair. Now for the good stuff; the flavors are untraditional but OMG good! I tried "Adult Cotton Candy" and sad to say I went back the same day for two more scoops! I also took the Euro trash to go! The customer service was awesome! I was addressed by my first name and was provided fast service! This will be my new weekend spot and now I'm on a mission to find a gym!
Best ice cream and sorbet, hands down the best. This place will make the weird combinations taste delicious. Today is sweet corn ice cream and lychee sorbet. Tomorrow it might be sriracha ice cream. They are open late and have a great atmosphere.

The food was delicious. I had a "chicken" salad sandwich and my husband had the veggie burger. The produce was really fresh and the prices were very reasonable. The only reason for four stars is that it would be nice to see a kids menu with some smaller portions and prices for kids. My kids eat healthy, but I didn't want to order a $9 sandwich for my 6 year old to take two bites out of :)
Love this place!!! We just ate there and we ate all of our food every last bite and dessert and feel full but not bloated!!! This type of food is def good for you!!! Leaving here with lots of energy!!! love love love
Guess what! This is a restaurant that serves food ... So I'll be the first to post some food pictures! Yummy!!! I drive by this place on the to work..., and been waiting and waiting for this place to open!!! An amazing place! Everything is so fresh snd everything is made fresh and in house. I had the raw piña-colada is made from almond milk (which they made), pineapple, coconut butter. It's different from most places I order one from but this one tasted so fresh so healthy! I am craving another! We got the barley shot l. We never had one before and didn't know what to expect .... Smelled like Hannah which is funny.. Overall it as interesting... I'll leave that to health nuts out there.... The raw taco with Napa shells was so fresh it's more like a salad really...beans... Corn... American cheeze(vegan) and almond crumbles as the "meat." I'll get it again for sure. The raspberry cheesecake is a must! I hope it is added to the menu! We also shared the almond butter cheesecake... It melts in your mouth. I can't wait to come back!!!

Awesome customer service by Zarion who was working the register. He had a group of people who did not speak very good English, he was very patient and kind to them. While they were finishing up paying, he Got my burger patty down on the grill immediately to help speed things up. He was friendly to customers who were waiting on their food, making small talk with us. My burger was very good as usual, but the customer service was great for a food court of a busy mall on a Sunday afternoon. Thanks five guys!
I really haven't been able to eat a fast-food burger the same after trying Five Guys. Everything is really fresh and I swear the burgers just melt in your mouth. Keep in mind, the portions for fries are really big. If you get a small serving, that's still enough fries for 2 people. You can choose between regular fries and cajun fries. Even if you don't eat meat, you can order the veggie sandwich which is still pretty filling. And all the vegetables are cooked so it's not like you're eating boring, cold vegetables in a bun. My favorite feature is how you can order online and customize your sandwhich/burger completely.
Watched the cook put raw meat on the grill and then continue working. He touched lettuce and tomato with the same gloves. In fact he cooked, assembled, and served four orders with the same gloves. 5:30 on Sunday June 7th. Won't be back to this location ever again.

If you want good, cheap, quick cuban food, this is the spot. Not the best, but really good for a little hole in the wall! The neon sign is tight and the staff is friendly. Could use a good clean up though...
I've had cubans all over Brandon, but decided to Yelp for a new place to grab takeout after stopping for gas near their shop. I didn't even realize La Cubanita existed in Oak Park Plaza because it is well hidden near the end of the strip mall. Wow - what a find! My cuban sandwich was so packed with meat that it had to weigh 2lbs on its own. The pulled pork they use on the cubans keeps the sandwich super moist after pressing and ties every ingredient together perfectly. It was so good that I was already half-way through it before I remembered to yelp a photo. I also brought home a pork dinner to my mom - my attempt to get her out of "meat and potatoes" mode by expanding her pallet. Her takeout box was so packed and heavy, that the handles on the plastic bag stretched to snapping point. My mother is super picky about pulled pork from restaurants but she couldn't stop raving about La Cubanita's stating: "This is the best pork I have ever had; You'll be going back." After mom foo-fooed the vegetables I picked out (hey, I tried), I ended up (got rewarded) with getting to eat them. Yay! Their yuca is awesome - juicy, not dry like a lot of places. The black beans/yellow rice is flavored perfectly. Best I've had in a while. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned in balance. Prices are excellent for the quality and taste alone- especially when compared to other places in the area serving the same menu items. Can't beat the price for the portions - multiple meals from one box. I know I'll be going back - I've already been informed. A must-go/try. AAA+++
Best Cubans in brandon. Worth it to go out of your way to go here than any where else. Hidden jem by the gym. Haven't tried anything else.
