I read a few reviews and was excited to finally find a good cheesesteak in this area....NOPE.. It wasnt bad by any means, but it was the same frozen meat and same roll i can get at 30 other local places. The subs seemed disappointing as well a very limited selection of meats. This place is more something you settle for on a Friday afternoon than a place you look forward to going to. Seems like at one time it couldve been a great place, but now its JUST a "business" Will return like once a year.

I am surprised by all the bad ratings. I stopped in on a Sunday; I was in the area; I go to their Red Mill location usually.. I think this was their first location and it looks like it. Not good or bad. It just looks like it had a good run back in the day. Like I could see blue collared guys, at lunch time, yelling out their orders to the people behind the glass by the grills; just a bunch of people in there looking for a good meal. I ordered what I normally do from Casapulla's; their turkey sub; lettuce, tomato, banana peppers with provolone. A young blonde chick, didn't get her name, rolled it perfectly! I even posted a picture of it. The girl used those plastic gloves to make my sub and she was courteous. I did notice the other 2 girls there were just lazily throwing the food together, while they gossiped about other people. Nothing wrong to say about the place other than that but those girls didn't roll my sub. Sorry others had a not so good experience.

This was my first visit here. I had intended to leave a 1-star review after watching my cheesesteak being made with FROZEN steak. Then the girl asked if I was "ok with provolone cheese". Provolone on a cheesesteak - what? The place had a pretty steady flow of traffic while I was waiting for my frozen steak - all seemed to be only buying hoagies...guess they know something I don't. I'll have to try that next time. Anyhow - first impressions of my sandwich were "where's the beef?". Only two frozen pieces of meet on a 10" sandwich for the price charged seems crazy. As I bit in I was a little surprised that there was actually more flavor than I thought - although the frozen taste was present for sure. Also, whatever cheese I ended up with was neither provolone or American. I'm not really sure what it was actually. So in the end I'll probably give this place one more try for a hoagie as I continue my search for the best cheesesteak and hoagie close to my house - but I'll be staying away from anything cooked on their grill from now on.

Only been here once. Cheesesteaks were mediocre. The bread was supposed to be toasted, but it ended up being soggy. May give this place one more chance and order something else.

The best Subs period. Great meat and cheeses. Bread is perfect for Subs. We take them home to Oregon when we visit family in Wilmington. Crazy but true. We love this place.

Stopped in today and ordered a cheese steak. Watched the girl making it touch the raw meat then grab the bread with the same dirty hands. Gross dude! Called her out and left. They are probably making people sick left and right. Not going back.

The "small" is the size of medium duplex house. Definitely get your money's worth of food and it's good too. Somehow those two things don't always end up together, but in this case they do. Love that they have wheat bread sub rolls too. Both the turkey and tuna subs were delish! However, if you could please install a picnic table or something so I can eat on site, that would be terrific! We ended up eating on your front stoop.

BEST HOAGIES IN THE WORLD. ok, i've never had a hoagie until I came to visit my boyfriend's family here, but he had been raving about them for so long and I was sure it wouldn't live up to the dream... the people who work here have magic hands for sure!!! It's a small little sandwich shop, completely unassuming, you would probably miss it and drive right down the street. We did a couple times! There;s no place to eat here, you take your sandwhich to go. The people who work here are amazing and friendly and know what they're doing! Also the sandwich is affordable and MASSIVE. My bf recently found out he was allergic to gluten and couldn't eat bread, and we managed to find gluten-free hoagie bread in a nearby supermarket. we brought the bread here and asked if they could make us a sandwich and they were SOOO NICE about it. they made sure each sandwich was perfectly made and filled to the brim with all the toppings we wanted, and even with the nasty cardboard hoagie bread, sandwich was AMAZING. They were so understanding and made sure the sandwich was just how we liked it! I got the philly cheese steak and also chicken steak, and my boyfriend got roast beef also... everything was DELICIOUS. I think the chicken steak was personally my FAV. Each one was nearly the size of my head, I have no idea how they managed to hold the sandwich together in one piece. believe it or not, my boyfriend ate 4 OF THEM. I was amazed and disgusted at the same time. If you ever happen to be in wilmington, you MUST come here. PUT IT ON YOUR TO DO LIST.

We called Casapulla's at 8:45pm to order for pick up while we were on our way. The girl said they were no longer taking phone orders. We confirmed the shop was open until 9pm. We arrived at 8:55pm and the doors were locked. She opened the door to tell us she put everything away and was not going to take it all back out.

The best sub I've ever had was from Casapulla's South, at their original Rt 24 location near Rehoboth Beach. It was our standard family vacation spot, and was basically the thing I looked forward to every summer. Recently, I've tried to find that taste again -- things have changed over the years (they don't use shredded lettuce anymore, which is unfortunate), but their subs are still damn good. Get a gigantic one with oil, eat half, then refrigerate the other half in a *very* cold refrigerator overnight. The next day you'll have a great oil-soaked sub log. So great. This location had quick service and a nice selection of chips. Wish they had some drinks with less sugar, but whatever.

I took a detour around I-95 traffic driving home to Allentown, PA area from Wilmington, DE and thought I'd stop somewhere for a Philly cheese steak. I Yelped for Philly Cheese steak and Casapulla's was like the next right turn, and I almost drover right by it! I walked in and asked "how's your cheese steaks?." Another customer who was checking out remarked, "they're the best!" I would have to agree, mine was awesome. Looks like a great deli too with lots of options if you're not in the mood for a PST. Their hoagies look delicious. Highly recommend!

I met my greatest girlfriend in 1970 when she worked at Casapullas. There is a girl named Loretta that STILL WORKS THERE she is cool. I visit Delaware every summer and the subs (I get italian) are WORLD CLASS GREAT plus Louis Casapulla is super cool I'm coming back again this year and one of the greatest things in life is a sub from Casapullas I really can't grasp the 1 star reviews it Never ever happened to me in 43 years pretty sure you have an above average chance of getting a GREAT GREAT GREAT sandwich at this place. I live in Long Beach California now and have traveled the world extensively I NEVER had a sandwich as good as theirs anywhere and have purchased many 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 hundred dollar meals in my extensive journeys. I can't understand ANY 1 star reviews of this place. Used to eat at Mrs. Robinos too cheese ravioli which was GREAT! The other great sandwich was Turkey sub at Capriottis she cooked turkeys EVERY DAY fresh don't even know if it still exists but Delaware has a few treasures that can't be found anywhere else IN THIS WORLD I am living proof. I know Picottis is no longer serving their steaks but I NEVER had a steak (soaked for hours in liquid) Filet Mignon to be exact that came even close to that place. I can't wait to order an italian sub from Loretta (I hope) at Casapullas this summer and go across the street where the picnic tables are and wolf it down because it's so world class it's hard to go slow. I am the hardest customer to please on this earth and I have no affiliation to this place whatsoever I live over 3000 miles away.

Left the Philly area many moons ago. When I get back I need a steak or hoagie fix. I compare all to my local shop in DELCO that has long been closed. Yelped for a place near my hotel and Casapulls's came up. This sandwich was fantastic. The bread, meat, cheese and garden all went together to create a top rated sandwich. Having lived in a lot of places, I am not sure a visitor would have the same experience, because everyone has their local favorite sandwich or barbq. But for this Philly-boy, this was old school good. I have to laugh at people who love the Sub chain stores: Stop here and see the gold standard that the chains will never even get close to being. Top notch hoagie.

The best sub shop I have ever been to. This place makes your orders quickly, I phone them then hop in the car to pick them up, but the time I get there the subs are finished. My family has this as a bi-weekly tradition, I love the Italian sub, and the chicken or beef cheese steak. My brother loves the home cooked turkey sub. The whole family can find something they like here.

I was born in Wilmington, learned about the Hoagie(*) here. Every other Italian sub pales in comparison. Nothing like this period, truly unique. So I find myself in town on some unpleasant business and I need a Hoagie. Being out of touch with the local scene I consult the auntie and she points me to Casapulla's. Of course she gives me the 5 minute diatribe directions (abrv. version) which go in one ear and out the the other. I dial the address on the rental car GPS and me and the sibling arrive there ten minutes later. We order the 8 inch Italian with everything, including the "hots". We wait patiently and grab some pizzelle cookies. The kid making the sandwiches takes his time, he knows his business and he does not rush, a sandwich like this is "constructed" layer by layer, and is sealed with a second layer of meat over the top, a thing of beauty it is. There are no seats at this location, in the car we devour the sandwiches in under 2 minutes, they took longer to make. We wash 'em down with Coke Zero and Listerine breath tabs cause we did get everything including the onions, pure bliss! Haaahhh, smell my breath, (*) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ho… "Hoagie is a term for a lunch sandwich in a region including Philadelphia, southern New Jersey, Delaware, and sometimes parts of New York..."
