Discovered that Notting Hill roasts the Deliscious coffee for Old world Bread to compliment their offerings. They nailed it! I went to Notting Hill and asked about coffee and was introduced to a roaster who was passionate about the coffee. Within 2 or 3 minutes and a couple of questions he handed me 3 different bags and by my reaction recommended 2 with tips on how to create my own blend.. I learned more about coffee in 10 minutes with excellent advice and a perfect blend of coffee suited to my tastes. I can't wait to go back and try another! P.S. The chocolate filled croissants are deliscious!

Hmm. Just asked for the price of a refill. Told me $1.50. But wait, how much is a cup of coffee? $1.50. Oh. I get it...

I should have followed my gut. Flavored coffee and dry looking pastries should immediately have sent me back out the door. If you like burnt coffee, the smell of a 1990s Gloria Jean's cacophony of flavored coffee aromas, and flavorless puff pastry this is your shop. My latte had no foam and tasted like they'd seriously burned the beans. We're talking charcoal! I added milk to it but that didn't help. When I spoke to an employee, hoping they'd just mixed up my order, she told me "lattes sometimes have foam, cappuccino has foam." WHAT?!?!?!?! I've been a barista. They both have foam. Cappuccino has more foam and less milk. Per yelp reviews, I got the blueberry puffin, I think it's called. Not a fan. It was a very sweet muffin wrapped in puff pastry. In fact most of their baked goods had puff pastry. Don't be fooled by the long line. Starbucks is better.

This place is awesome. Tried to go to the shop down the street but literally no one would help us. We're glad we stumbled upon this gem. First of all, there is literally a wall filled with gourmet flavored coffees, and a wall of teas (loose and bagged!). The drink menu looked phenomenal with delights such as a salted caramel chocolate latte, but I went for an exotic looking rosehip loose green tea blend. AMAZING. I'll definitely be ordering some of their coffees online. One of the three friendly girls behind the counter told me they ship fast and are cheap!

Waited 20 minutes for a cup of weak iced coffee and a dry croissant. Watched the people in the back moving very slowly while the line kept on growing. Would not go back.

Ok, let's get this out of the way. The sign out front says "Lewes Bake Shoppe". But it's name is Nottinghill Coffee Roastery. Unless you're on another review site when it isn't. But is here. So, make sure you know to look for the place it isn't when you go there. Very nice local place. A good variety of teas and coffees. The space is a little small but it comes across more as cozy than confined. And it seems to have a warm ambience. Maybe a little hipster. The crowd isn't though. Mostly locals hanging out and shopping on 2nd street. And that's a good thing.

If I could give this place a 3.5 I would, but it's closer to a 3 than a 4. It is small but would be a lot less cramped if the roaster surrounded by bags was moved. There seemed to be two people working and while ordering was a little hectic the wait for food wasn't long. I ordered the chicken caesar wrap which was delicious. My partner ordered the soup & salad. The soup was beef noodle and tasted beefy and salty; the salad was plain and the raspberry vinaigrette dressing was like syrup (it would have been great on pancakes). We had two pastries which were so good! The coffee I tried (an Irish one) was very dark but not very flavorful. I did not finish my small cup. I did buy some whole bean coffee to go. Overall the place was okay. There is a large selection of tea and coffee; the pastries all looked great; my wrap gave me hope that some of their other food is good.

Puffins and Dutch shoes are a must for pastries. Get here early during peak season if not expect a wait.

I can't speak for the coffee and the staff was moderately friendly but what gives this place 5 stars is the fact that it was the best cup of hot cocoa I have ever had. It was one of those 'I'll be thinking about that for a long time sort of experience'.

While I enjoy my Starbucks fix for expresso, I only use Notting Hill coffee in my grind & brew at home. Their Dattera Reserve is still my favorite coffee after a year.

Love this place. It is literally a hop skip and a jump away. Always very nice. It's the only coffee we really drink. We get whole bean flavored cause we have a grinder, I prefer fresh ground, think it tastes better. The Dutch shoes are such a treat! And would've got 5 stars but my favorite thing, sausage egg n cheese croissant I wish it had more egg n cheese on it. The eggs are microwaved round sponge things and I think would benefit also from 2 pieces of cheese ( especially for around 5$each) but otherwise. Yah awesome place to go!

It smells wonderful in here. It's tiny and a little overwhelming. Menus or drinks and food options are scattered everywhere. Not a great place to sit in because it gets a little crowded. My brother ordered a piña colada-like drink. Notting special about it. My drink - hot Vanilla caramel dream. No coffee, just a hot vanilla drink. I like everything on the sweet side so I got a shot of caramel in it. Everyone I passed or stood next to stopped me to ask what I was drinking because the aroma was absolutely wonderful. The drink itself was like a dream come true. Such a perfect drink for a cool windy day. There was a huge machine in the middle of the store that looks like a roasting machine. Bags and bags (50lbs each?) laying around it. Made the store a little cramp. Not a great layout, when you get your drink, you go to the side where it is even more cramped to fix your coffee. Not a great idea to go during off season. All their drinks are "sold out". The guy in front of me asked for four different drinks and they were out of all of it.

Cute little coffee shop with an eclectic atmosphere and friendly staff. They have an impressive selection of gourmet coffee and teas. The pastry selection is original and, so far, everything I have tried has been delicious. Try an ooey gooey. It's a combination, twist, cinnamon roll, sticky bun type treat . . .decadent!

I wasn't super impressed with this little shop. The tables and chairs are super crowded together and it seems like they are trying to do too much with the small space they have. This is including the amount of coffees for sale and the decor. Everything just felt crowded and overdone. I had a decent cinnamon role (didn't seem like it was super fresh, but it wasn't bad) and the flavored coffee was yummy. My other complaint would be the sizes of their coffee. A small coffee means the itty bitty styrofoam cup and the medium is a small at most places. Considering the fact there were no special prices for refills and the quality of their coffee, it's not a great deal. Also, they have a time limit for their wi-fi, so they aren't exactly encouraging people to spend much time there. For a local roastery, this place isn't too bad, but it's not a place I'd rush to go back to.

If you don't mind waiting in line for 30 minutes (when there are only 8 customers in front of you), this is your place. The pastries are pretty good (the blueberry puffin muffin is actually incredible), the coffee is okay, but they need to figure out a better system. Maybe hire someone else to make the drinks, so the cashier isn't filling all of each order as it comes in? As other reviewers have mentioned, it's very cluttered--slightly overwhelming with too many menu options. Figure out what you're good at (puffin muffins) and stick to it.

Cute little place. We went in and ordered a specialty coffee and a cappuccino, both were very good. We also had two pastries that were excellent. I do agree with the one review, that it seems to be a little cluttered, but I wouldn't let that deter you. They were friendly and even told us we could stay and finish our coffee even though they were closing. They have many different coffee flavors that you can purchase...they looked interesting. Will definitely return

I was not surprised to find mixed reviews on here. I have had both very good and very bad experiences here. The flavored coffees are delicious, and I go in there every week or to and purchase some. I especially agree with the "soup nazi" review. The staff, especially one woman in particular (not the owner,) can be very rude and abraisive. However, when I took the time to email the owner, Amy, I was pleasantly surprised with her willingness to assist me to resolve the problem. I let her know how rude her staff was being, and how they made me feel sorry I had come in and wished not to give them my money any longer. I did let her know I also loved the coffees, which was the only reason I still patronized her shop. I actually had not returned for several weeks after expressing my concerns to her, and she put up a sign in the store with my name, asking me to please step up since I had "won" a free pound of coffee. Amy cleverly put the employee I had complained about as the point person to get me my coffee, so she was forced to confront me. Sadly, they are still not very friendly here. I have returned several times and it is usually more of the same. Ie, making you sorry you even set foot in there because they would rather not have seen you.

Disclaimer: I'm reviewing this place on the coffee beans alone. I come visit every month or so from Jersey and I always stop and get beans from this place. I love the Tiramisu blend. It's really just a light/medium blend that they coat with some kind of syrup to make it taste like tiramisu, but it tastes damn good and surprisingly close to Tiramisu. Also akes a great iced coffee. We usually grind it ourselves, which makes our grinder sticky, but it travels better back to NJ. I've had some of the other blends (Maui, German Chcolate Cake) and they are decent, but not amazing. I'll stick to my Tiramisu and my 4 stars for it. My faves: - Tiramisu coffee beans

Great place for breakfast. Even coffee and toast is an experience here. They bake the bread, different kinds! There is bike parking across the street.

What a cute little coffee shop in beautiful downtown Lewes! You'll find some nice sandwich-type options for lunch as well as a tempting array of baked goods--including the "Ooey-gooey," a sort of twisted, frosted, cinnamon roll. True, it is a little cramped considering how popular it is, and our one cinnamon roll was not 100% fresh. But it is still well worth a trip, simply because it's everything you want from a vacation spot: a charming little nook with friendly, helpful staff. We're home now, but I am still enjoying the "Sea Salt Caramel Mocha" coffee we got as a souvenir.

We bought about 5 different coffees here, and let them grind it (we're lazy) - so the entire 5 hour drive home was scented with delicious freshly roasted, ground coffee. I love the Swiss water decaf Peruvian and my husband loves the Brazilian. I also bought a coffee press - having been in search of one with a glass rather than plastic carafe, and Amy gave us a great deal on it. She is a live wire with a great personality. If I lived in Lewes I would want to be her best friend! We caught a hysterical commercial on local TV with her portraying a Brit at the Royal Wedding. She is a navitve New Yorker - down to earth, friendly - and definitely NOT SHY.She has built up a successful business in sleepy Lewes. We are so glad we can buy her coffees online. They have yummy looking pastries and a variety of teas as well. I believe they also have soups and such for lunch. This is a must stop if you find yourself in Lewes.

Fresh coffee! Fresh baked goods! Re-freshing service! Fun place with excellent goods. I had some of this coffee brewed way down on Fenwick Island at the Pottery Place and it was such good coffee I traced it's origin to this fine little shop. Took home a bunch 'o beans!!

The owner is a very charming lady and gets to know the customers well. I'm also really impressed with their blueberry scones, which has a texture like shortbread and not at all like those dry floury things you find in most coffee shops were you have to choke them down with lots of coffee. The scones also use a mixture of fresh and dried blueberries, which is really unique. Thumbs up for whoever came up with the recipe, because they thought exactly like me. Don't use tons of fresh fruit in scones, because they'll just leak all their juices out and make the scone soggy. I also love the diversity of coffee beans that they sell. They roast the beans themselves, and the beans are really high quality. Unfortunately, these people don't know how to brew coffee. All their coffees are pre-brewed and kept in a thermos. Bad. Their coffees are too weak as well. That's why I subtracted one star. Please learn how to brew coffee! Grind the beans fresh right when the customer orders and prepare it drip-coffee style. Sure, there is a bit more of a wait, but who's really in a rush in Lewes anyway? Do take my advice!

On our several visits to Nottinghill, we found it disorganized, cluttered and wanting in the customer service department. But this coffee shop-bakery nonetheless has its charm--especially because it's not a chain! It also turns out great sandwiches (often on fresh, house-baked bread), pastries (some of which are day+-old) and good coffee drinks. The prices are very reasonable. It's best for an afternoon coffee or a late lunch - the morning and lunchtime rushes make it a bit unpleasant.

If you like flavored coffee, this is the place for you. If you don't see the point of flavoring your coffee, I recommenced going elsewhere.

Really, it's a pastry shop with coffee for dunking (the Bakery sign doesn't help matters). Yet if you love coffee, you already know about this place. The owner is constantly baking. You can forget about having the perfect physique, because the aromas will bend your will. What is life without sloppy scones? If you don't care for caramel, or you get your coffee fix with Folgers, this may seem expensive and fussy. There must be a Bob Evans around somewhere, right? But don't be so sure everyone in your group will be as quick to hop in the minivan. The service? I didn't notice. I was already too far gone.

Bad coffee combined with a tense exchange. When one goes for morning coffee on vacation, one doesn't wish to be accosted or chastised by a loud, overbearing owner. I was reminded of Seinfeld's soup nazi: one must order in a certain way, pay in a certain way, etc., and if you don't do it correctly (say, because it's your first time there), you are scolded loudly and in a condescending fashion. To boot, my coffee was watery and my brother-in-law's cappuccino was sub-par. You get the coffee yourself from those cheap plastic containers found at cheap hotels. One other comment: though there were three people (including the owner) working the counter, I waited in line for about 15 minutes without moving an inch - and the three people ahead of me were NOT getting complicated or large orders.

The proprietress scolded me for getting dirt on her bathroom floor. I kid you not. If you visit this establishment, you should probably bring a hostess gift.

This is a roastery. They also sell by the cup. While on vacation in Lewes the coffee maker broke. Having ordered from this company, and since they were a block away, my brother and I walked over to see if we could get a "box" of coffee. We were scolded and told by the owner, who was rather tweaked on caffiene, that they are all "tree-huggers here". She then told us to take a vacuum bottle (the pump dispensers) full. We asked if she needed a deposit, or to see some I.D., and were told "No, you seem trustworthy, you both wear glasses" The passion that goes into the coffee roasted here is evident in every cup. Although the owner professes a distaste for flavored coffees, you will not find better ones anywhere. Just don't ask for a light roast. I understand that is punishable by flogging.

Also known as Nottinghill Coffee, Amy and her staff run a friendly, warm cafe that we love to frequent. They roast their own coffee beans with such a variety of flavors you have to keep going back. Luckily I can resist the baked goods, but I love their soups and sandwiches for lunch. Surrounded by the wonderful shops on Second Street in the heart of Lewes, the Lewes Bake Shoppe is a must on your next visit to town.

Great coffee and good food. Don't care for all of the crazy flavors of coffee but the regular coffees are really solid. The food didn't blow us away but it was good. Go here for the coffee for sure, though.

We went twice for breakfast during a busy weekend since it was just down the block from the hotel we were staying. Breakfast and coffee were good. They have a large coffee selection, but sometimes was cold coming out of the containers. Baked goods were very good as well. Would definitely go back, especially since very close to Hotel Rodney.

Amy's recommendations were fantastic. I am not a coffee drinker and I walked out with a cup and many treats. Everything was delicious and tasty. Amy helped make sure when I arrived home that my friends and family were not dissapointed by the selections. The blueberry muffin pastries were the fans favorites.

We stopped here for coffee and pastries on our way to the beach. The croissant, muffin, and iced coffee we had were all quite good. They had a truly impressive collection of coffee drinks and beans (a bit more than Starbucks I would say). A good option if you're looking for coffee or baked goods in Lewes.

Amazing coffee! The iced German chocolate cake coffee was the best! The lady behind the counter was so nice and welcoming.
