Fantastic speciality drinks with homemade soda, sriracha glazed honey wings, and chicken and waffles. Holy crap. My first impression of this place was fantastic. The chicken and waffles totally blew me away. Being a fried chicken connoisseur I'm always picky. This was pan fried deliciousness. Straight from the south. The onion and maple gravy oozing over top the savory herb waffles was an experience I'll never forget. The wings were massive jumbo wings with decent heat and spiciness. Can't wait to go back. I just don't think I'll order anything else! Spend the extra money and get a couple of drinks and the chicken and waffles and I promise you won't be disappointed.

I generally don't leave reviews. By its Friday and this place isn't open. Why are restaurants not open on fridays until dinner?

Good local restaurant- have dined there three times and the experience is consistently good. Tonight we had Kirby as our server and she was excellent - enthusiastic and knowledgeable - one of the best. The raw oysters are a personal favorite.

Great spot for delicious seafood. The lobster and heirloom tomato salad was outstanding. We had Kirby as a waitress, and she was AMAZING. Kirby, if you see these reviews: thank you!

I've been here a few times and it's always been good. I usually go for the happy hour, there are plenty of great specials. My personal favorites are the fish tacos and the brussels sprouts. Simply put, it's a small local place with a laid-back environment. The food is always good and taste fresh and even if it's packed, the happy hour is well worth it.

Looking for a restaurant in Lewes that serves great food, with very good service, in a nice laid back atmosphere, and you won't have to deal with parking hassles? "Fish On" is that restaurant. Awesome that I have a vacation condo that is walking distance to "Fish On". They do not take reservations, but there is a nice, large bar to wait at should you need to. I have dined there three or four times and all food received high marks: the lobster mac and cheese, the burger, the scallops atop corn, bacon and asparagus and the New England clam chowder. Very satisfied with all aspects of this place. Prices are a tad on the higher side, but the quality of the food warrants it. I have yet to have dessert, but I have heard good things, so perhaps next time :)

My partner and I went here for dinner on a weekday while staying at a local B&B. Food: We got the platter as well as the fish and chips and weren't impressed with either. Both of us had stomachaches soon after. Drink: If you do go here, check out Matt's root beers. They are fantastic! Service: The service was wonderful. Our waitress was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Atmosphere: They are also dog friendly outside, which was wonderful as we had our two pups with us. It was a clean and well spaced outside area, though the flies were almost unbearable. Might do the restaurant good to spray some witch hazel with peppermint or eucalyptus essential oil on the area to keep them at bay without the gross citronella smell.

Our first time here, had a spectacular experience. Marie was our very attentive and enthusiastic server. The food was incredible! Mom had the crab cake special and she ate more than I've ever seen her eat. Good sign! Hopkins pumpkin ice cream was insane. Will be back!

We had a delicious dinner, nicely prepared, generous portions. Service was friendly and attentive. Decor is modern, sparse. Have been to Happy hour, good prices, fun place. We live in the neighborhood and will keep coming back.

ate here for father's day with my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter. when we first sat down, the waitress was serving a "baby kale" salad to another table. it looked so good that I tried it. it was awesome. I love kale, but have always had it cooked. never before raw. very interesting combination of kale, apple slices, sliced almonds, either blue cheese or gorgonzola (i couldn't tell which it was and do not remember the menu) and bacon bits. perfect dressing for the mixture, too. i had the "day boat scallops" for my entree. the four scallops were done to perfection and served on a creatively tasty bed of corn braised with bacon and onions. my only complaint was the price. yes, i know that scallops are expensive, but only FOUR for $27 is a bit much! my daughter had fried chicken on a waffle. she loved it. she washed it down with the restaurant's own creation, "black and white" soda. i didn't like it, but it is creative. my son-in-law had their fish and chips and was similarly pleased. the waitress was appropriately attentive and service was excellent. she also took care to answer my gluten content questions. four stars and not five because $94 is quite high for what we had even with one alcoholic drink and a "Shirley Temple " for my granddaughter. incidentally, my Yelp photo is of sunset over Lewes beach.

Good seafood, decent prices, and a nice atmosphere. I definitely suggest checking out this place! Sunday nights they have a nice prix fixe menu that's a good deal.

Went here for happy hour because of the reputation of the founding chef. It was off-season and pretty slow. I sat at the bar but it took a while for the bartender to acknowledge me. After getting a waitress her drink order, and after hearing me ask for menu, it took a few minutes to actually be given it. (How difficult is it to grab the pieces of paper and put it in front of me?) She wasn't particularly outgoing at the beginning but became more so as the meal went on. I ordered the chicken wings, the mussels without either jalapeno or chorizo because I am pretty wimpy about spices, and the Caesar salad. The chicken wings were some of the best I have ever had. Fat, but not fatty, not drowning in any sauce - just enough to make it delicious and tasty. The Caesar salad was a nice large size, crispy and also not drowning in any dressing. The mussels were still spicy and the accompanying piece of bread (supposedly wonderful at this restaurant) was charcoaled (tasting burnt instead of any good bread flavor). I did not eat them so she took them off the bill, which I appreciated. What was as good as the delicious wings, was the sight of a Food Channel show on one of the TVs instead of just sports. Why don't all good bar/restaurants do this? Everyone at the bar was watching it and commenting. Brilliant move on the bartender's part.

Meh. Uninspired cuisine in a boring space. Tables & booths seemed old and tired. Food was fine but nothing to get excited about. Service was friendly. Overpriced for the location & quality. We tried the brussel sprouts, calamari, monkfish special, & scallops. We had been advised against going here by a merchant in Lewes but most of the restaurants in downtown Lewes were closed and we had already been to the ones that were open so we decided to form our own opinion. We should have heeded the advice.

Have been going to Matts restaurant since they opened. The food has always been top notch, but sometimes it seems the chef gets in a rut and doesn't brighten the menu. I can definitely say that consistency has never been a word I would use for the service. Sometime it seems that there is an attitude. Still all in all a very good place to consider.

Big portions, good food not over priced. Open later than many businesses. But nothing over the top special. The Greek salad was great. Nice fluffy fish and chips.

I live near this restaurant and am usually there at least once per week for the 5-7 pm happy hour. Oysters (sweet Jesus are my favorite) are $1 and a wide variety of small plates ranging from chicken wings, Cesar salad to pei mussels in a broth so yummy you'd dare not send to the kitchen un eaten. 4-7 dollars per small plate, assemble a few picks and it's a great little supper for a solo diner. The waitstaff and bartenders really are professional and friendly. I know I am not alone feeling like a valued customer. Went out of my food rut the other day and ordered the amberjack fish dinner. It was served with a corn peach salsa ( can also get it Baltimore style with cole slaw and fries). Delicious! There is a menu option of daily catch fish and I appreciate the honesty of putting the origin of the fish on the menu. Atlantic salmon is admitted, whereas other restaurants try to pass farm raised off as pacific salmon. Shrimp and grits a safe bet for those in your party who are "funny" about seafood. The only dish I have had that I suggest you enjoy elsewhere is the crab cakes. In this restaurant you can do way better than that for $32. No offense, I am spoiled by Woody's in Dewey beach that smokes the competition for just $26. Trust your waiter or waitress. They know the menu and can steer you in the right direction. Unlike many restaurants the staff doesn't seem to turn over. People from all walks of life and from every demographic frequent this place. Good place to go for a first date or a multi generational family meal. Upbeat. Always feel satisfied after a visit to FishOn!

Every time we come to town we go to Fish On. We love seafood and we usually do all the Sodel restaurants. That's what we love about the area. There are many great restaurants and Fish On is one of them. We've been going there every weekend, when we're in town, for the past 4 years. The food is good, the wait staff is great and knowledgeable, and the place is clean. We've never had a bad meal/experience. The prices are also reasonable. If people want cheaper food, go to Mickey D's.

Fish On is the place to be for happy hour. The selection of appetizers and small plates is perfect for getting together with friends and colleagues. Last night I met a friend, I had the shaved brussel sprouts, she had the beet salad and we shared the fish tacos. All very good. The shaved brussel sprouts is my new favorite dish. If you haven't tried them at one of the So Del restaurants, put it on you list.

Seafood was perfectly prepared. I had the scallops; they melted in my mouth. Great use of local in-season veggies and excellent bread. I'm totally hooked on the white bean mash dip with home made melba toast. Wow! Dog friendly with plenty of outdoor seating. Strange suburban location which quite frankly kept us from trying this place earlier this summer. Damned stupid reason to pass up such a wonderful meal. It's worth the drive into condo-hell. Our waitress was very friendly and our dog appreciated all the doggie treats and ice water!.

On May 25th we had our 3d dinner at Fish On. We had Buttermilk Flash Fried Calamari Mustard Tartar Sauce & Lemon, substituting Marinara sauce for the Tartar; |NY Strip 10 oz Steak Sliced, Charred Scallion Butter, Mashed Potatoes & Asparagus; Captain's Platter Crab Cake, Scallops, Shrimp, Lobster Tail, Farm Veggies, Lemon & Butter; and a special dessert of chocolate cake rolled with a whipped cream filling and a strawberry garnish. The calamari were crisp and tender and soaking in grease. The napkin underneath the calamari had enough grease in it to fry a chicken. The buttermilk batter had a sour taste that I appreciated but my wife did not. The steak was grilled and sliced on the bias. The flavor was predominantly that of the grill, not the steak. The asparagus and mashed potatoes accompanying the steak had problems. The mashed potatoes were sweet enough for me to wonder if sugar had been added. The asparagus was improperly trimmed. The bottom of the stalks were slightly woody. The Captain's Platter was probably the best dish we have had in all three visits to Fish On. It was accompanied by clarified butter and green beans. The butter nicely accented the seafood. The green beans were well prepared and quite good, to my taste. The dessert was a pleasant standard common in mid western America in the 1950s. Flavorful but too sweet for modern tastes. This was the best meal of the three we have eaten at Fish On, but I would prefer to eat at Matt's Fish Camp, Big Fish, Agave, Nage, Shorebreak Lodge, Amuse, or Arena's. Why eat a $100 meal at Fish On when we can get better food for a little more and equally good food for a lot less. The host and our server tonight were excellent, but the food was merely good.

First of all they deserve a 3.5 but couldn't give them four. Went tonight for happy hour with my husband. Restaurant had about six tables seated. We ordered a few happy hour items. I said twice the total was five items. We realized she missed the fish tacos but she also missed the chicken wings and only knew that 15 minutes later. The sad thing was when we got them they weren't cooked through and weren't good. I mentioned it and the bartender seemed indifferent. The rest of the meal was good though. I enjoy food here usually and most of it works. Tonight most was good.

Overpriced for the amount of food you get and the overall quality of the food. I ordered the crabcakes with mashed potatoes (2 tiny lumps of cakes & 1 small scoop of mashed) for $27.00!!! If the food was excellent, I wouldn't mind the price, but it wasn't anywhere near excellent. Crab cakes were dry & needed more flavor. The mashed potatoes were okay, nothing special. There are many other restaurants that have done their food way better and for less money. I'm not going back.

The food was good. Not really good. But, good. I was in town for few months and was offered to join a group of individuals on a business meeting/dinner - who was going to take care of the bill. I would not have gone here if I had to pay for the dinner myself. The food is quite pricey. I had 4 items (the portion size was quite small compared to the price) totaling near $75. For the price, could've been better. The place is located in an upscale type of area. So, would be a good location to go on a date. But, probably not for a random eat outs. The view from the window is just parking lot and condos. I would much rather go for a sea shore view eatery or something on 2nd st.

Yeah....more like Fish OFF! Maybe it was an off night considering all the raves. We had a coupon from our B&B for a free appetizer and ordered their version of Oysters Rockefeller. Good thing they were free or I would have sent them back. $11.00 - and they were awful....sad looking squiggled up oysters buried beneath an indescribable mound of yuck. My $24.00 fish stew had plenty of seafood- farmed tiny baby lobster tail (overcooked), salmon, clams and shrimp. Some pieces of salmon were delicious, while other pieces were very fishy. The clams had a bit of sand, while the good looking shrimp had the WEIRDEST after taste. Not rancid- just strange. The taste lingered in my mouth. My husband had the famous crab cakes. Hmmm...What is the big deal? True they contained mucho crab...but were so lacking in flavor and needed spice- and Dijon, fresh chives or scallion. We skipped dessert because the meal turned us off. What is up with 3 tables without table clothes while the other tables all have table cloths? Strange. Were we seated sans table cloth because we were newbie's- and most folks here are local "Villagers"? The place is in the midst of an artificial city for retirees. For the money, go into lovely downtown LEWES, and ask the locals where to go.

I have nothing but good things to say. The food was fabulous. Very fresh and many local offerings. They combined flavors well and everything was cooked well. They were accommodating to the children that we had with us. The beer and wine list was great. You must order dessert, they are some of the best desserts that I have had. We liked this place so much that we did something that we have never done and probably will never do again...we went for dinner twice during our 1 week vacation. I never go back to the same place twice, I aways want to see what else is out there. We couldn't resist the temptation of trying some other things that looked good on the menu that we didn't order the first time. The second meal was better than the first.

This will appear unfair because we ended up not eating here -- and therein lies the rub. We were told that nothing on the menu could be guaranteed to not have nuts in it, which is a big problem for someone with a nut allergy. This seems pretty hard to fathom, especially when we wanted to order a salad without walnuts on top. How hard is it NOT to add walnuts? I appreciate the waiter's honesty (and I'm sure he was being sincere about it, too) but it's a bad deal when a restaurant can't serve fresh food without an errant ingredient finding its way into a dish.

The fact that Fish On! is located in Disney-esque and squeaky-clean Village of Five Points made me fear that it would emulate the ubiquitous chain restaurants found baking in vast parking lots in hum-drum suburbia. But much to my delight, it does nothing of the sort. Fish On! serves quality and fresh seafood in a hip setting with moderate prices. Menu items include prawns with grits, Lewes seafood stew (mussels, clams, shrimp, fish, in a tomato base), salmon, scallops, and crab soup. Although they accommodate children (macaroni & cheese and burgers), I suggest you leave them home so you can enjoy a nice adult evening out. There's a bar if you need to wait for a table and service is friendly and swift. And while it's casual (we are at the beach), I recommend putting on something a little nicer, like a shirt with a collar.

Not having been to many places in Rehoboth, this is def one of the better ones. Its a nice beautiful restaurant, spacious and clean. The food is amazing though, i had the seafood stew which i was hesitant to get, but soo good. Reminded me a bit of cioppino. There was lots of fish and seafood in my stew that had kind of a tomato base. My boyfriend had the halibut which was equally good. There was a delicious steak my friend had, along with the mashed potatoes. Now, im not always a huge sides fan, but the mashed potatoes were really good; melt in your mouth good. Will def be back there if I'm back in the area. Only downside which I didn't take stars from is that its pricey. Entrees were in the 20s.
