The way of treating the Customer is bad on my dinner. Nasty preparation on baked tilapia with shrimp and the waitress didn't ask about the taste and the quality of the food. Even I gave one star becoz I liked the creamy chicken soup

Consistently better than other OG's in the state. The soups are hot, the salad is not wilted and the dessert (tiramisu) is not soggy and watery. I've eaten here a number of times and it's always good. It's a very busy location, but the restaurant is consistently good. It IS OG, so it is what it is. I only wish all the OG's would bake their soft bread sticks longer. They are doughy and pale. The capellini with tomato sauce is always good.

As far as olive gardens go it is pretty standard. Food is the same wait time the same. I've had really good experiences with regards to service here and their order online option is pretty good. It gets very crowded during peak hours and clearly very popular. I have no complaints about this olive garden

I'm so upset about my visit to Olive Garden I could cry. I just moved to the area and was excited to go because you can never go wrong at Olive Garden. We get there and put our name in, we get skipped 4 times because instead of the people calling your name they come up and whisper "party of 2?" How does that make sense? They managed to frustrate at least 10 people while I was sitting there waiting. Finally get seated everything took so long. Drink order...10 minutes later we get drinks and bread sticks. No plates. Just cold breadsticks on the table. We had to ask the bar for plates. There was so much dead time sitting there and no real flow. I hate sitting with empty dishes all around me we had plates, salad bowls, empty appetizer plate all empty! This was 2PM on a Sunday I can't imagine what it's like at night. The food, however, was delicious. There was just absolutely no management or system to the way anything was done. The restaurant itself was beautiful but they should hire people that know what they are doing! I have never had a bad experience at Olive Garden until today and it's heartbreaking because it's one of my favorite places.

Wow. In all the time I have been on Yelp, only twice has a business reached out to me to accept responsibility for a visit gone wrong. Olive Garden did just this when they wanted to know more about my visit. I received in the mail today a gift card, asking me to give them another chance. And I will. Not because of the gift card, although it is certainly appreciated, but because they said "We're sorry, we want you to come back." Unlike Sol Luna, or the psychos at Great Clips, who threatened me with a law suit, and called me a bully when they butchered a hair cut, Olive Garden stepped up to the plate. You don't think a big corporation would even read these comments, let alone respond. And yet, those smaller businesses act like I'm somehow in the wrong because my review indicated I was not pleased. So Olive Garden, thank you for wanting to keep me as a customer. Your willingness to retain my business is very much appreciated.

I enjoyed an excellent meal and the service was just as awesome. The new manager, Janet Becker seated me and took my drink order. She was very friendly and personable. And my server, Christina D. was awesome as well. An excellent personality and she made the entire experience very enjoyable. Thanks Olive Garden of Christiana Delaware!

This is an amazing place that we frequent. That said, it is also a place that I always leave with mixed feelings. First the cons. * Being a vegetarian(no eggs even), i should say this place has a lesser number of options * The waitressing staff - its a gamble here - you never know who you will end up with. Sometimes they are very very pleasant and happy. Sometimes, downright grumpy or .. indifferent. * Invariably, 6 out of 10 visits here, they have forgotten to give us the bread sticks. It comes to us only on the second reminder. Now the pros :) * Some of the best vegetarian options here would include (but not limited to) the minestrone soup(five star), caesar salad, lasagna fritta in the starters and soup department. In the entrees, fettucine alfredo wins hands down. Along with, five cheese ziti al forno and the portobello di ravioli. * Normally i dont get till the dessert section because by that time I am full till my nose ! But I have heard from friends that their cheesecakes are pretty good and tiramisu is out of world - well.. i will never get to taste it ! * If you are lucky for the day, you may get a cheerful person to wait on you, who explains through the menu, makes modifications for you, suggest you deals... warmly accommodate you overall. Maybe even give a few extra mint chocolates towards the end. * The ambiance is a nice cozy mix. Its neither too intrusive not too quiet. Overall, a good place if you crave some comfort food. Their warm soup and super crispy caesar salad can be made a meal by themselves. Will i go back ? -- yes :) again and again and ....

I am very full tonight, after eating the chicken parmesan and minestrone soup. I wanted to order breadsticks to go, they are so delicious. I didn't even have enough room for dessert. The waitress was more than excellent in that we were there late and she never made it feel like we were rushed to leave.

My boyfriend and I were up in the air between don pablos and olive garden tonight. We chose olive garden, boy what a mistake. Our meal started out with our obnoxiously loud waitress telling us what a bad day she was having and how she couldn't wait for it to be over (which she would repeat at least 3 more times throughout the night), especially since the "table over there" (Yes, she was actually pointing at the table and its occupants) didn't leave her a tip. We ordered our salad (mine) and soup (boyfriends) along with some alfredo dipping sauce for our breadsticks. Soup, salad and breadsticks came out, lettuce was overdressed and very wilted. Dipping sauce came out about 5 minutes later at which time we asked for more breadsticks. We were told "oh, it's going to be awhile". By the time the breadsticks were out the dipping sauce was a solidified bowl of cold glop. Our meals came out (smoked mozzarella chicken dine and take one home special) and they looked and felt like they had been under the heat lamp for way too long. The sauce on top had dried to the pasta and turned it into one gelatinous glob. When I mixed it the pasta underneath was bone dry. Our waitress was nowhere to be found, we finally tracked her down and asked for some extra sauce to which her reply was "it will be a few minutes, I have to go greet my new table". Ten minutes later we had sauce and cold dinners. I couldn't even eat mine; boyfriend was starving and ate his. We waited 20 more minutes until she came back around, spilled 4 large waters on the floor (and my feet) and asked if we wanted our check. I've waitressed before, if you go to a table and someone's meal is untouched you ask if everything was ok, don't just say I'll wrap it up for you. I was so ready to get out of there I didn't even bother asking to talk to a manger. I will not be back. Ever.

Came here for lunch on a weekday with my wife. Only the second time I have been there. The hostess greeted us immediately which was very nice. She then sat us down at a booth. The restaurant wasn't very busy at this point since they just opened. There were 4-5 family's sitting down eating as well. 15 minutes went by and we had no server come up to us at any point. So we waited for a few more minutes. Then another couple came and sat down and with in a minute they had there drink orders. At that point we got up and left. As we passed by the hostess she did say to us to have a wonderful day. And that's all I'm gonna say about that

ohhhhhhhkay. im giving olive garden one star because i think it is vile. however, please be aware that the place was *packed*, there was a 45 minute wait and apparently in delaware this is a michelin 3 star establishment. i ordered the asparagus (ick), white bean hummus (double ick with a glop of oil on it) and some sort of ziti thing (triple ick). sunday night is usually date night and he *loves* this place. the tour of italy that he ordered was promptly murdered and the look of satisfaction on his face was not fake. moving forward, OG is a place for him to go with his delaware friends. i am not ever setting foot in here again.

I dont visit olive garden that often but I always say im not going back when I leave. The food for the most part the food taste good, its the small things that get me. On one visit I think our waitress thought we were hard of hearing and would come up to the table with such a loud voice that I jumped. We ordered take out one time and there was what looked like a pubic hair in the pasta. olive garden gave us a $25.00 gift card for that one. This past visit it seemed to me that our table was an add on for the waitress, when she would come to our table she was always out of breath and anxious, we ordered coffee with desert but the coffee was cold, I dont understand why the restaurant would put the coffee in carafes instead of just pouring it at the table. even at a diner they pour your coffee for you. when we started stirring our coffee we had to start laughing because we all had different spoons. Some of the people had soup spoons, I was given an ice tea spoon which was ironic because I ordered ice tea as a drink but was not given a spoon with it. there was no white sugar, we actually had to go to an empty table to find some sugar. I ordered new york cheesecake for desert which tasted good but before I got home the part I took home with me had melted down. Ive never seen ny cheesecake melt like that which makes me think it was not the real deal. I read that olive gardens were doing better but we didnt see it that evening.

After several bad experiences, this Olive Garden location has finally lost my business. First of all, the food is what it is. There's some good options (Braised Beef and Tortellini is my favorite), there's some mediocre ones. (Anything with marinara/spaghetti sauce). That said, with an Olive Garden, it's the service that makes someone come back. I've been bringing my parents here for a Sunday dinner since they opened, but the last 3-4 visits have finally made me cross it off my list. As you probably know, the soup/salad is "unlimited", meaning that you can get seconds, if you like, which I usually do. I like my salad! With that said, the last 3 times I've visited here, my entrees arrived before my soup/salad even arrived, or they both arrived at the same time. Most recently, I visited with my family on a somewhat busy Sunday. No appetizers, just soup/salad and entrees. However, after waiting over 30 minutes, our entrees...you guessed it...arrived with no sign of soup/salad. Fortunately, the entrees were brought out by someone other than our 18 year old, untrained waiter, so he apologized, and had the dishes remade. Still, we had only gotten halfway through our salad when our remade entrees arrived yet again. We gave up, ate our entrees, and split. When added to the fact that drink refills and our waiter were largely nowhere to be found, it added up to the last time I'll visit this location.

Only Olive Garden that my husband and I go to. They constantly have specials and we visit during the buy one, take one special. Food was excellent, like normal with a great staff. We sat in Crystal's section and she was sweet, compassionate and friendly. A definite go again!!!!!

I do not really care too much for eating at chain restaurants, but we get gift cards every once in a while so we are forced to eat there or give them away. This is chain food, so what do I expect? At the least, I expect consistent quality and consistent service. I mean, Olive Garden is not exactly real Italian food, in my book (I'm half-Italian American, so I know a thing or two), but it can be acceptable. So here are our three experiences: Visit 1, Lunch: This place is busy at lunch. I mean very busy, every time I am here or even in the area. The service was slow and inattentive, which tells me that they are understaffed. It was 10 minutes before we saw our server, another 5 before we got drinks. Our server made 4 visits: 1 to take our drink and food order, 1 to deliver our drinks, 1 to deliver our salads, 1 to deliver our check. Our server never checked on us to see if we were okay. In fact, our server was nowhere to be seen. The food was acceptable, but it was an unpleasant experience. Visit 2, Lunch (about 6 months later): We were seated and waited over 20 minutes for our server to come by. How could a server not realize their table had been seated? We couldn't find anyone to whom to complain....I swear they were dodging into the back of the house when we came close. We walked out and ate at Quiznos instead (great service, by the way). Visit 3, Order online for lunch (about 3 months later): I ordered online, because we had to use those blasted gift cards. My wife was in the area and picked it up. She still had to wait 15 minutes past the pickup time. The order was correct and the food was acceptable. Bottom line: Avoid at all costs. Eating lunch here, and I am going to extrapolate and assume dinner here, too, is unpleasant. The food is flavorful enough, if you can get it. It is not enjoyable having to get all of your communication to your server all at once, because you don't know if/when you are going to see them again. If you're in the area, I will say that even Old Country Buffet is probably a better option. At least you can be sure that you will get to eat.

Very nice manager Brian (is the name?, Saturday, 7PM) but I can't stand the atmosphere; it was overcrowded, long wait, and bad food. We had a choice of going to Romano's Macaroni Grill but because it is 10 miles from where we were to Wilmington, we instead ended up to OG. I feel that compared to any Italian chain restaurants, I'm seeing that OG is lacking the quality, taste and care they put on the food. The never ending pasta bowl was a waste of my plate that I ended with unfinished bowl of pasta. My partner's pasta was soupy with alfredo sauce. The breadsticks are the-thing-of-the past; the food of ice age cavemen. OG,- keep sending coupons but I won't spend any more dimes.

I had never been to Olive Garden before, but seemed to talk a lot of trash on it. After this experience, I'm not really sure why. I had a great meal, delicious food-- seriously the sauce on the chicken di mare was great. The attitude of our server was wonderful-- very sweet, helpful, patient, and accommodating. As an appetizer, we shared fried beef ravioli and stuffed mushrooms. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious. When I told her the side of fettuccine alfredo was the most bland thing I've ever tasted, she offered right away to get the manager and then to get me something else. The roasted butternut squash was sweet, but much better. I had a really nice time. They were busy, but I wasn't rushed and was treated very well.

Oy vey... Now I remember why I don't come here! --- Was in town visiting friends, and they wanted to stop by Olive Garden for lunch. Two years ago I remember having a decent experience with the Garden's soup, salad, & breadsticks option, so I agreed. Summary: great time, horrible food (but my "pre-test probability" was high anyway, so I shouldn't be too shocked). 1) pasta fagioli - not bad, and I enjoyed the cannelini beans. But the addition of ground beef was not necessary, warranted, or appreciated. 2) Sampler Italiano (stuffed mushrooms, calimari, toasted ravioli) - pass. 3) Chicken marsala - nothing says "EPIC FAIL" better than this dish. They violated a cardinal rule of cooking: **don't cook with wine that you wouldn't drink!** The sauce had bitter overtones, and smacked of cheap alcohol. I only finished ~1/3 of this dish, but had a mental image of Starvin' Marvin, so I reluctantly took a doggie bag. Sorry, CIT (Culinary Institute of Tuscany, their source of culinary delights) is nowhere near the quality of CIA (Culinary Institute of America).

What can you say about the Olive Garden? If you love it you probably have never had a real Italian meal. Or mom's home-cooked spaghetti for that matter. The only reason my wife and I came for dinner was to use a gift card we received for Christmas. I think next time we'll re-gift it. Our waiter was nice, if a little unprofessional in manner (which I don't really mind). The food was plentiful, but bland. I wouldn't recommend.

I enjoy the endless soup lunch specials. If you don't want the salad just ask and your lunch or dinner becomes even cheaper!

mY WIFE & i WENT HERE FOR A LATE LUNCH EARLY DINNER. i HAD THE POTATO/SAUSAGE SOUP AND LEMON GRILLED SALMON. mY WIFE HAD A SALAD AND A FISH STEW/SOUP. EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME! For dessert we had cappuccinos. We also ordered a fried calamari and tiramisu and chocolate cake supreme tahta we took home! BUT the waitress we had(her name was KIM) we above and beyond her duty! She was attentive, friendly, helpful with decisions, and also a welcome addition to our photos that we took with our new phones! So, IF you want to have an enjoyable experience at this restaurant call ahead and ask to be seated in Kim's section! There was ALSO w aitress that brought our water and initial drink who helped Kim out(Kim was trying to find salad fixings for another table). This waitresses name was Christina(or Christine). She also would have been a good waitress. BUT we had an SUPREMELY EXCELLENT dinner experience at this restaurnt! FROM now on I will ask to be seated in either Kim's section or Christine! We were thinking of RED LOBSTER but my sister-in-law spoiled that due to EVERY SINGLE TIME for 4 years straight every time mom would start her migration to Florida she would stop and take us out to eat. EVERY TIME we ate at red lobster because my S-I-L had coupone that my mom didnt even worry about! This is our 2nd time at this restaurant and this time it was the best. now we will call ahead to make sure Kim or Christine is in house!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
