Disgusting. I ordered a veggie burger and then I spent the next 24 hours sick. Will never be back.

great burgers, fries are good too. only thing keeping me from bumping this to 5 stars is seating. verly little seating area so better hope you get there when not busy

Prices were way too high for the greasy smashed mangled burgers we received. Bought two adult combos and then when I inquired about the kids meal options, the cashier asked me if it was really for a kid. Staff as a whole was rude. Smashburger, 5 Guys, Red Robin are all better choices and better tasting.

Just ate there tonight for the first time... Busy but I guess that goes with the territory of being new. Lots of people working yet it took 20+ minutes for the food to come out and even then it was made wrong. The manager seamed very attentive, and the seating area is small with no outside seating which does not make sense. Reminds me of smash burger. Although I like smash burger better the fries are a lot better at smash burger or even 5 guys. The food was okay nothing to brag about and the pricing seams steep for this type of establishment. I it does a lot better in the future!

major meh - i love love love burgers and was so excited when i saw this was coming, but major let down once we finally tried it. the ordering process is a bit annoying (i just want to order a darn burger, not write a book), the fries were certainly nothing special, and the burgers were not very good at all. we will not be going back, even though it is the closest place to us. boo.

Took too long, tables were dirty during a not busy time. Fries were not good. I'd prefer Smashburger or Larkburger any day.

This place is so over priced and boring burgers I'm not sure how they stay in business. Don't waste your money and go to Red Robin instead. Wife and I ordered 2 burgers 1 fry and a milkshake - 24 dollars later and we didn't finish anything. Gross food

I live south of Denver, but happened to be up north a couple a weekends ago, and was pleasantly surprised when my boyfriend and I found Mooyahs. I'm not usually a burger fan, but found the variety in toppings made for a really superb burger. Delicious! But what took the cake was the hotdogs, fries, and oh my ... the milk shakes!! We ordered a loaded hot dog to go (don't forget the onion strings, bbq sauce!!) ... yup ... that good! New owners and management have created a great fast food option at The Orchard with friendly staff, great service, and a place I'll look forward to visiting again. ... Feeling a craving for the hotdog and strawberry shake coming on! :)

Stopped by for late afternoon lunch. First timer's. Restaurant was not as clean as I have seen other burger joints. Floors were slick due to grease. Single burger with cheese $6.59 plus you have to purchase fries separately. Other chains (Fr---ies) has a great special for that price which includes fries and a drink. Just for 2 burgers, 1 order of fries and 2 waters, it was still $16. I will echo other's comments on the amount of grease of the burgers. I don't even think 5-Guys is even this greasy including the fries. Not very flavorful either. Fries were good and hot. I had to use the restroom to wash my hands and the floor had just been mopped and I could barely standup it was SO slick. Absolutely a lawsuit waiting to happen if someone fell. I'm sure the health department would be interetested in this from a safety issue. Tried it once, don't have to go back. Not worth the price. Sorry Mooyah :(

The shakes are really good. Go there for that. I second what a lot of yelpers say when they were greeted by a young, rude staff that appeared really unorganized. Burgers are small and fries are decent.....I really want to like this place, but tables weren't clean, nothing was stocked as if there was a rush....we came at 4pm. Can't say I'll come back after hearing people talk about staff cleanliness. That's downright disgusting.

  • Khampha K.

Mehhh... I was really craving burger and fries and this is where I ended up. The burger was so greasy that it needed a napkin diaper in order to be eaten, flavor was bland. Mooyah sauce was thousand island dressing mixed with mayo. Fries were also greasy and bland. Don't think I'll be visiting again.

There are a few really top notch burger joints in denver. So when I venture outside of the city limits, I never make it up to Broomfield, I don't expect to be overwhelmed. I'm impressed that they make their own buns daily. The burger was ok. Not too much great flavor. Just a burger --- about on par w the standard average around town. Their fries are slightly soggy but they are good. I didn't have a milkshake, but thinking I should have instead of fries and a burger. The price is high for the quality of a combo meal in this area. I think little kids and your standard household will enjoy this place- if they can afford it. If you can spend a little more, go down to denver and get a proper hamburger at park burger or lark burger.

This place was awful! Went there because an organization I love was having a fundraiser, but unfortunately, we ended up at the wrong Mooyah. The fundraiser was at the Thornton location and we accidentally went to the Orchards location. This review is for the Orchards location. The 4 kids working behind the counter were not welcoming, the cashier screwed up our order, the guy delivering our food to the table coughed near our food and did not attempt to cover it up, I watched a worker itch his nose repeatedly without washing his hands then handle the food, the men's room was a disaster plus there was no soap! Gross!! I am pretty sure that is a major health violation. my family and I will NOT be returning. Disgusting. This place needs adults supervising the kids because obviously the kids don't care about providing good service.

If you are looking for a In-n-Out substitute this isn't it. I've tried various different combinations of the condiments and I haven't found anything close to In-n-Out here. In my opinion, my Mooyah burgers have tasted more like Smashburger. Not that there is anything wrong with Smashburger but it is not In-n-Out. And the fries here, well, I found them to be not good. The fries remind me of Five Guys' fries. They certainly gave me a crapload of them, and I just ordered a small. Good service but I still have yet to successfully communicate that I want the order "for here." No matter what I say, I have always gotten my order in a bag. I see other people eating off trays. I believe they have the technology. But to date, it eludes me. I do like the iced tea. Upon moving here, I've noticed that even very nice restaurants will serve me iced tea made from syrup. Yuck. It's nice to find real iced tea here in Colorado as it does not appear to be a priority in the state.

This is a great little burger place. The service is excellent! I wish they had made the place a bit bigger because it's always crowed and trying to find a seat is hard at times. But, it's worth the wait. I like that you can choose from a variety of toppings as well as buns. I typically get the Mooyah burger lettuce wrapped. The meat is very juicy and always delicious. It's a bit greasy, but who doesn't love a greasy burger? Their Mooyah sauce is to die for. Love it! The French fries are absolutely amazing!! Get a side of ranch to dip your fries in, you will love it. This is a great addition to the Orchard Town Center. You should give this little burger joint a try!

  • Ben P.

The single burger was very small, very few grilled onions, and the french fries were dry Very expensive! Not worth the trip!

    (1)
  • Joseph W.

Service seems to have really gone downhill since the change in ownership. Not nearly as friendly people working there. The place isn't as clean as it used to be. I won't go again.

  • Carlos M.

I really enjoyed the burgers here. Wasn't really sure what to expect because of the reviews. We were conveniently in the right place at the right time and hungry. They surprised me with good service and good food. Goes to show every now then I need to step away from the high reviewed business on yelp and give all a try.

    (5)
  • Tiffany W.

Okay burger, decent fries. The staff stunk. Waited for about 15 or so minutes for my food which is typical of a place that makes it fresh. But while waiting I got to watch the young lady who obviously didn't want to be at work today yak on her cell phone while prepping food. Let me just say it look sooooo sanitary. (Not. It's disgusting) It's nice that you guys have the staff bring the burgers to the table. It would have been even nicer if they hadn't stopped just before our order and starting shouting numbers like a soup kitchen. Needless to say I will probably never return here.

  • Cody B.

The food was really subpar and the service wasn't much better. The girl taking out order would offer us options, but she mumbled the whole time, so it was more confusing than anything. She also had her purse over her shoulder while taking our order, so I couldn't tell if she wasn't engaged because she was almost done, or if she just liked wearing her big ass purse all day. She also inputted my burger order wrong, despite it being a "Mooyah" style. Luckily, there was one kid working who seemed to know what was going on and held her hand to get our order in. The food came out promptly, but the burger was gray and wet, the shake pretty pedestrian and the fries were overcooked and super salty. My wife got a salad that was "meh". I can think of literally 4 different burger chains who have food twice as good for comparable prices. Five Guys is probably the most similar in concept and they blow this place out of the water.

    (1)
  • Dan D.

The burgers are yummy ...BUT, I'm only giving three stars because every time I visit, my order is taken by a female "general manager". She is very unpleasant and seems like we bother her. She has zero customer service skills and never smiles....

    (3)
  • Lu T.

My first review was 3 stars because everything was "OK." There is nothing about this place that is memorable but it was all decent burgers, fries and shake. I came in (because Red Robin had a wait) and the service was just awful. There are teenagers (it's a super young staff) behind the counter who continue to have conversations when there is a line instead of helping customers. Also the service isn't very friendly. Subpar food and subpar service. Red Robin is the same vicinity... go there. If you want more affordable or faster burgers, Mooyah loses to Wendy's and McDonalds based on price and quality of fast food. My advice is to skip this place.

    (2)
  • Jayson M.

Menu isn't that bad. The problem was the wait. A Saturday, around 6pm and they had 6 people working. Not busy at all but it took over 20 minutes to get our order which was just a kids meal and a shake! They should've had more people working I suppose. Can't really say anything else negative about the place as it was our first and maybe last time here. What can I say? First impressions are important and they didn't hit it out of the park with the wait or their customer service.

  • Emily B.

My name is Emily and I am addicted to Mooyah. I really enjoy custom burger venues because I tend to be a really picky eater. This place is truly a 'have it your way' kinda joint. I enjoy the turkey burger when I visit. It's really good. Fills my tummy. The prices are higher, but, the ingredients are good quality and the portions are generous. At times, this place can be super busy and painful to wait in. My only "beef" is that when you order a large fries, they insist on making a big deal of telling you just how large it is. We order 1 large between 3 of us, switching who pays for the fries. It's SUPER embarrassing when its my turn to pay for the fries to have the person taking my order say, "Do you know just HOW big that fries is?" Yes. Yes I do. They are tasty. Don't judge me ;). Otherwise, this is my new dirty little habit. MMMMMM.

    (4)
  • Heather M.

MooYUCK. I would be willing to pay more, if it is good. Yuck. The sweet potato fries were burnt. Really? Burger was not worth half of what I paid for it.

    (2)
  • Tom J.

After tax was almost $9 for a double cheeseburger by itself. I got it with bacon and cheddar and swiss cheese but they forgot to put the swiss cheese but still charged me nearly an extra dollar for it. The two patties were very well done. Would have much rather saved some money and grabbed a burger from Good Times.

I came to Denver on a business trip from Oregon and a client of mine recommend that I visit MooYah for their burgers, shakes, and fries.. I'm not normally one to write long reviews on Yelp but my experience here was stellar. I ordered the HERSHEYs chocolate shake which was the perfect thickness, a double stack burger with all the fixings + their signature MooSauce (their selection was great.. 5 different types of cheeses, bacon, sliced avocado, fried onion strings, and over 15 different free toppings to choose from), the fries were some of the best I've had and their employees were really helpful in their recommendations for a first timer. I will definitely make it back here on my next visit. My only complaint is Mooyah hasn't made it to Oregon yet!

    (5)
  • Adrienne X.

The burgers are really good here and the milkshakes are to DIE for!! Plus the staff is super friendly and helpful. I recommend eating here anytime!

    (5)
  • Kim T.

Went there for the first time, very disappointed. 9 people working there and I think each one has one speed SLOOOOOOWWWWW , everything about the order was wrong and the girl with the manager nametag seemed very disorganized. 20 minutes for an OK burger but pricey for the quality. I also agree with the majority of comments the fries were so greasy we just threw them away. I don't think I will find my way back there.

The Texas-based custom burger chain just opened at Orchard Town Center, near JCPenney. One of the things I've felt Orchard has lacked were affordable, basic lunch options. Sometimes, all you want is a burger, and this is what Mooyah is known for. I stopped in with the kids for lunch today. Here's the rundown of our orders: Minion #1: Little Moo Burger, small fries, kids shake. What he loved: tons of toppings, milkshakes (for an added cost). And, he loves messy burgers, which this was! What he hated: the fries. He felt they had a strange aftertaste. Minion #2: Veggie Burger with 'shrooms and Mooyah Sauce, small fries, regular shake. What she loved: anyplace that offers a veggie option is a win in her book. Mooyah Sauce is addictive! What she hated: again, the fries. Maybe it was the oil? And, me: Lettuce-wrapped turkey burger with buffalo sauce and blue cheese, small fries, iced tea. What I loved: OMG, thank you for lettuce wraps! Not just any lettuce, but that had to have been half a head of iceberg around it. And, I love a good turkey burger! It was delish! I will third the fry comment though. They tasted off to me, like old oil. What bugged me? Oh dear... This store really needs to look at improving their seating space. The store is tiny and had very few booths available. We wound up having to take our food outside to the main area of the mall to eat, which would have been fine if my Iceburger wasn't dripping everywhere. Can't stop single parties from hogging a four top booth but still, it'd be nice if they offered outdoor tables maybe? The ordering process is confusing. They have a little counter with ordering slips, but it was unclear as to whether you're supposed to fill those out or not. We hung out waiting for our food for 15 minutes because someone lost our order. No apology from the staff. No napkins in our bags and no napkins with the drink station. I had to grab paper towels from a public restroom. :( I'm guessing these are kinks they'll work out in a few weeks, so give Mooyah a try!

One of the best new burger joint around so fresh and sooooo good! The one thing I don't like is It's too greasy . It's a must have if your in the neighborhood.

    (4)
  • Mandy E.

20 minuites for 1 hamburger. The girl expediting the food just kept pushing it around not bagging or giving to customers I had to ask for it. Ridiculous.

    (1)
  • Shannon D.

I actually liked the burgers at Mooyah. The menu is super simple. The fries are fresh cut, and I really appreciate that. The taste of the beef (fresh!!) was very good. Dripping goodness by the way. They are quick, polite and offer fantastic service!! I've been there twice and when in the neighborhood, will stop by again!

After my first visit, I had nothing but GREAT things to say. Of course, I went back for more. The second visit was good. Third visit was ok. Fourth visit... don't really want to go back. If I'm going to spend $10 on burger and fries I'm going to go to Red Robin and sit down and have a nice meal. I usually get the Turkey Burger Lettuce Wrapped. I like that I don't have to add or subtract anything from my burger. It is a build it yourself- which is a plus However the last few times my turkey burger hasn't been cook completely. YUK! The fries aren't my favorite either they are over salty or have no flavor.

  • Garnell C.

Two burgers, two regular fries, a regular soda, and a Mooya-sized milkshake. $27.33. Good food, but overpriced.

  • Christina I.

Excellent service- can't say it enough. Also I thought the food was great for a burger place. Cleanliness is top notch also which is a biggie for me .

  • Patrick D.

This place is alright. If you're in the mood for a burger that isn't a fast-food style and you don't want to wait for a delicious burger at a fancy sit-down this is a place to hit up. They have some creative menu options and something for everyone...except if you're vegan. I don't know, maybe they do but I'm not vegan so it doesn't matter to me. Service was very friendly.

Always looking for something new to try at The Orchard. I ordered the Turkey burger w/BBQ sauce, friend onion strings, cheddar and bacon. It was yummy and juicy and the right proportion. My mom got a regular cheese burger and she said it was greasy. We were unimpressed with the natural cut fries. They were limp and seemed over (or under?) cooked. Lots of salt but the texture was not good. They were also the wrong thing b/c we had actually ordered sweet potato fries. Oh well. I was slurping down a Frappuccino so I didn't order a drink. I will return to try the milkshakes b/c they sounded good. My only other beef (ha) with the place is the signage touting Recycle over and over but there was clearly, no effort made to actually do it. No compost bin or recycling bin for the aluminum foil. I don't expect this at fast casual places but if they are using it as a motto they need to offer it.

  • Eric M.

A total 5 Guys rip off. Red and white decor, fries poured in the bag and just overall feel. Expensive, 9+ for a regular cheeseburger and fries combo. IMHO not worth the money, there was nothing unique and I won't be back.

We have been wanting to try Mooyahs for a while now and got the opportunity yesterday. I was surprised at how small it was inside, especially given how crazy packed it was. I was kind of confused by ordering on the slips of paper (a la Which Wich), since there was another sign that said you didn't have to.... I felt that the counter with the paper was inconveniently positioned (right by the front door) but whatever. We ordered, all the staff we encountered was friendly, not above and beyond but nice enough. There is a serious lack of seating, so if you want to sit and eat, don't come during the lunch rush, it was madness. Luckily, it was just me and the BF so once a two-top opened, I snagged it and we waited....and waited....and waited. The food took forever. I totally get they were busy, but there were at least 7 employees back there. It shouldn't have taken as long as it did. The food was good. I got a pretty basic cheeseburger (the little Mooyah), with all the messy add ons and BF got a regular Mooyah with BBQ sauce, bacon, and cheese. We both got fries as well. I loved the fries. They reminded me of 5 Guys, and there was MORE than enough in the bag. The burger was cooked very well, no complaints on that. I also like that they offered a wheat bun. After lunch, the BF was hankering for a shake so we hopped back in line (much shorter this time) to try the Oreo shake. Okay, so still people waiting for food, I totally get it and absolutely do not expect to be pushed to the front of the line for just our one thing. What got me was waiting, at least ten minutes, while I could clearly see our shake sitting there on the counter. If it's ready, call it out! Don't continue to only call out orders in order, when something is obviously ready. BF went up and asked she told him it wasn't ready. It was sitting there, waiting for nothing. Finally convinced her it WAS ready so we could leave. It was okay, super thick, like too thick to drink/enjoy for several minutes but it was good. Overall, if you are looking for a good burger, definitely stop in, just make sure the lunch rush is over.

Good food... Just a very small place so when its busy I will choose others places first.

  • Bruce E.

Combo between five guys burger and a Big Mac . Good burger but pricey and oily. Need a little more fries a little bigger place. Better than most fast food.

    (4)
  • Jen G.

Finally! We need more restaurants like this at the Orchard mall! It isn't a completely unique place but definitely welcome over here. The food was good and fairly fast. I didn't try a shake, but I am sure I will be back.

    (4)
  • Amanda M.

I am definitely a burger person and I love Mooyah! The service is always great, the staff is friendly and fast! I Love all of the options to customize your burger, and I really like that they have healthier options like turkey burgers and lettuce instead of a bun as well. I try something a little different every time and have not been disappointed yet!

    (5)
  • Jessica G.

Burgers were great but overpriced. Fries were good . Service stunk. I thanked the girl for taking our order and her response was "ya" . Not your welcome or enjoy your meal, "ya". I'm a mgr for a fast food restaurant so I know people have bad days but there wasn't one smile on ANY of the staff. They all looked like they hated their job. Hoping management reads this & makes changes. I was there 8-15-14 between 4 & 5.

    (1)
  • Chris P.

Don't listen to anyone who says it's small portions. That is not the problem. The burgers here are tasty enough. Slightly high but comparable to any similar chain- like Five Guys. The quality is also similar. Junk food in the best possible way. The real problem here lies in the service. I have been here 3 times and never met a pleasant employee. At the best they have been silent, at the worst- very rude. Don't have any questions if you come here. Also- don't come here if you are on any kind of schedule. Twice I have been here when it was moderately busy and my wait was about 40 minutes. That's a long time for a burger. But I thought they were new and busy and I let it slide. The last time I went I was picking up dinner for my wife and myself. When I arrived there were no other customers in the store. It still took nearly an hour for our order to come up. And it was incorrect. I have given this place several chances and have been disappointed each time.

    MooYah? More like MooYum!

  • Jolene C.

This a good place to stop for a quick burger and fries while shopping. The line is often long but it moves quickly. They have a good process for getting the food out. Mooyah now offers gluten free buns and the staff will change their gloves if you request it. Not sure you'd want to eat here if you have Celiac, but if it'a just an intolerance you should be good. You can also order a burger wrapped in lettuce if you're carb conscious and you can get a turkey burger if you're watching your fat intake. For a burger place, that's a lot of options! I would skip the fries if I were you and go for the sweet potato fries. I've been to this location 4 times now and the regular fries always come out kind of soggy and way over-seasoned. The sweet potato fries are just right and the kids are always fighting over who gets the last one. As other yelpers have noted, the service is not the best. The staff tend to be on the snotty, rude side, but they're all young 20-somethings and they're flipping burgers, so I don't know that you can really have higher expectations. I'll note that a few nights ago we stopped in as a family and I was very surprised to see Family Guy on one of the TVs. There was no sound but Peter was naked for a while and then he and Lois decided to jump into bed together. It's just a cartoon but it was kind of questionable for them to have that on at 6:30 in the evening when there were other families there. I did not say anything to management because we were ready to leave, but depending on the ages of your children, you may want to get the burgers to go. Overall, we like the food and the service isn't terrible, so we'll be back.

  • Natalia B.

Good burger, but overpriced. Two people and $25. Not sure who started first, but this is almost identical to Five Guys Burgers & Fries. Burgers tasted alike and has the same process. Buns were oiled down which had me wiping down my fingers every time I picked up the burger. Fries were limpy and soft, but still tasty...I just prefer a crispy fry. Shakes were awesome and THICK...I ended up eating with a spoon. Girl who was washing down tables and asking if every thing was ok was real nice and very pleasant. The booths were oversized and could have been smaller to accommodate more tables for 4. Was claustrophobic in there, especially if you have people waiting for food and people in line waiting to order. Been there and done it, but will go closer to my favorite, Freddy's, or Five Guys.

  • Stormi S.

So, not the best but not the worst. Shakes are flavored with syrup and location is small and busy. Burger was pretty good, about on par with Good Times, but I like Lark Burger better. Service was good and pretty quick. A nice young girl came by to check on us to make sure everything was good.

I would be remiss if I didn't comment on Jamie V's comment about my experience. That is great your experience was wonderful. I'm happy you had a great burger with fries. Not only was my experience something I wouldn't wish on anybody, Kyle M. stating that my comment was false (which he deleted I see) just validated my experience. This is Yelp. A place where we write and share our good/bad experiences as a customer. I did that and got the manager telling me basically that I was lying and that I'm a liar. No one should stand for that and people should know what kind of business he runs. So there you go. I know that we all want to stick up for our friends, as I see you guys are buddy buddy, but I gave a very unbiased honest review.

  • Brian D.

I am a huge burger fan, and to be honest, these burgers have made my top 5 list. Absolutely spectacular! We also loved the sweet potato fries and shakes. I do recommend the mooyah sauce on the burger which is a creamy 1000 island dressing. Love that there is a wheat bun option. Tons of free veggie and sauce options.

    (5)
  • Jacob R.

Too expensive for the amount and quality of food given to you. $18 for 2 small hamburgers, 2 small fries, and small drinks.

    (3)
  • Jason K.

Good food. Small portion for the prize. Slightly behind 5 guys but they do have shakes so almost a draw. Quick and fresh. I'd go back

I live in Thornton, which means dining out options are limited! I was excited to try Mooyah, walked in, everyone was nice, place was clean and food smelled good. I ordered and was excited to try, at which point I was told they don"t take amex...I only use amex, and so I never got to eat here, but im not going back..if you want to run a business, take major credit cards! Your neighbor which wich does, they took my card no problem.

  • LM T.

Great burgers and shakes!! Fries are a little salty. Friendly staff, but bathrooms could be cleaner, and it's a small place, but not bad if it's not crowded. Worth trying!
