Great service, Amazing food! Tried the hillbilly burger at the suggestion of our server. It was phenomenal. Had to wait a tiny bit for our app and they comped it for us. We never even complained or anything. Bonus: awesome Playlist throughout the meal.

We live super close, this place used to be our go-to spot. USED to. Sadly, our last visit we had to flag people down for beer and water refills, our food was mediocre (my husband's was cold...), and afterwards, when my father in law wanted to buy beer mugs and growler covers for his friends back home. The hostess had to run back and forth to get the key from the manager.....took absolutely forever while she seated people and left us waiting. One woman was meeting someone and waited to check in with the hostess who was gone....I looked at her and said "is your friend wearing a red jacket? She's in the bar...." The woman looked grateful yet perturbed as we all were. We paid for $60+ dollars of merch which we reluctantly paid after having such a crappy experience. The meat loaf dinner later make me sick. I hope your experience is better than ours, if you so choose to take the chance.... It has(food quality and service) gone downhill the past month or two.

I imagine both C.B. & Potts go by monikers because they're too ashamed by their dull, heartburn-prompting mess of a menu to use their full names. I'll just discuss the $15.50 "jumbo prawns." There were about eight of them, fried to the consistency of shrimp-flavored tile grout. I'm adding an extra star for the beer, which I'll advise all future guests to stick with. There are some other restaurants nearby with food that won't punch you in the stomach while stealing your wallet.

I often visit here, as it's roughly 1/2 way between Longmont and Denver, so is convenient for meetings. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is slightly better than one might expect for a chain brewpub. The Cobb Salad is fresh and generously sized. I love the Monte Cristo sandwich here, which isn't on many menus anymore. I enjoy coming here and enjoy the food.

This was a nice surprise. Stayed at a hotel right next to it and looked for a place to eat. This is a brew pub / restaurant making their own beers on the premise. I sampled their IPA's before I settled for their non-seasonal one (forgot their names) but they were all good. The bar food selection was decent and I paired up the IPA with a Cuban Sandwich that was not too dry as I have had it in other places. + string onions that was nice and crisp. The service was very friendly and very accommodating. I will definitely go out of my way to make it back.

So we have come to eat here a few times and the food is ok. It's nothing special to me but my counter part likes the beer because of the amount you can get for the price. I typically get the stake burger and it comes with fries. It's good but they typically burn the bread a little and there isn't ever enough horseraddish so I ask for more. The fries are alright and normally my daughter eats those so that works out. All and all I'd eat here again and again but I'd rather try out the local places or something off the beaten path

Our first visit here was great. Food, drinks, service. My how a couple months can change things. Waited on a table while there was plenty of open spots. Food was mediocre. And service was about as slow as then come, and the place was only half full and plenty of staff. Seemed like everyone was moving in slow motion without a care in the world. There also was a free dessert offer for Mothers Day that the table behind us was given but then he didn't offer us. Just over all disappointed besides the beer.

Very large spacious restaurant. Fairly clean with nice friendly attentive staff. I had a monte Christo sandwich which I rarely see on a menu & it was fabulous. Had the Beer called "but face" & it was good. Very nice casual restaurant.

Honestly, I'm a bit torn here and it's really 3.5* but it is our "go to" for that area, so rounding up! The beers are good, the food is good, the service was a bit slow but good, and I had leftovers for not that expensive. I realize they aren't the best, but they are good enough and sometimes just what you need for a neighborhood, slightly upscale and family friendly bar.

So many fond memories at CB & Potts. 1) My Colorado State University Track and Field recruiting trip as a teenager. Got lunch with the man that'd be my collegiate coach! 2) Turning up with friends and swilling far too many beers. 3) Partied with my family the night after graduating college. All of this went down at the Fort Collins location, but if you couldn't tell by now, I really dig this place. My cousin lives nearby and we needed a place to enjoy some brews, food and conversation with one of my BFFs from aforementioned Track and Field team! The food was exactly as I remembered it, and the beer sampler never disappoints. And like a Kindergarten crush, I'll never forget the first time trying that Big Red IPA. Regret not going for round two! Mike and Emily seemed to enjoy their burgers; I stuck to the boneless wings which were a perfect booze absorber. Stellar service, decent prices, low key and relaxed vibe for hanging with friends, I'll be back on my next trip. Thanks for all the good times over the years, Potts!

We just moved into the area and decided to try this place out because it was down the road. We sat at the bar. We had the roasted veggie nachos with the avocado salsa. It was delicious! More than enough to feed both my boyfriend and I. We actually got another side of the salsa because it was just so good! My boyfriend got several beers that he seemed to enjoy. The atmosphere was great as well. We ended the visit with a chocolate chip skillet with ice cream that was very good. The reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of their service. The first and main bartendar we had wasn't very attentive and service was quite slow. And for a Saturday night, the place was dead. I hope they get more business because we want to see this place stay open. However, they need to work on their service and sense of urgency.

We came in for drinks and the happy hour food menu pretty late on a Saturday night. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. I ordered one of their signature dark ales and it tasted amazing. The pork slider was really tasty but the Philly cheese slider was so so. The garlic fries were very good but be warned that they are VERY garlic-y. So you might want a mint after eating them :)

This location has a great atmosphere including outdoor seating. A great a place to go if you want to watch some games. The service is decent but the food isn't great. I ordered a salad today and there was so much dressing, it wasn't edible. If you want a great place to go for the game with decent beer, this is the right choice. If you want good or great food, my suggestion is to eat somewhere else and come here for desserts, drinks and the game.

  • Erika M.

The salad I ordered was drowning in dressing, so my lettuce was really soggy and I essentially had lettuce soup. The beef that I had in my salad was very tough and not medium as I had ask. My fiance had a chicken dish with veggies and mashed that was also drowning in sauce. Though the sauce was good, it was all over the veggies and mashed potatoes too. The lighting (at 5pm) was too dim to read the menu. So, overall, I would say if you are looking for a good place to grab dinner with the family or go on a date; find somewhere where your money will be better spent.

Summary- It may have been because we were served buffet for an event, but the beer didn't make up for the food. Food- 1 Star The "BBQ" was dried out, overcooked, had zero smoke flavor (cooked in an oven or on a gas grill for sure). The sides also sucked, badly. The cheese and cracker platters were the highlight, but you could make those in about 10 minutes. Drinks- 2 Stars Beers- 3 Stars Ok IPA Good Amber Terribad Blonde Nothing I would go back for on the beer end. I asked for a bourbon neat, it was served on the ice. When I sent it back she poured it out of the ice glass into another glass. I was too tired to fight/whine but I should have. Atmosphere- 4 Stars Nice inside, it's what a brewpub should be. Good games too. Shuffleboard is free if you don't use the electronic scoring. Service- 4 Stars Nice and did a decent job.

"The booth seats sink like sitting in an unsupported cushion topped trough." I've been here three times, once in 2003, 2011 and two days ago (2012.) Each time has been more disappointing than the last. Not sure what the cause is here, but there is a serious problem. This place has loyal customers (who are either very forgiving or don't expext much.) My best guess is that CB & Potts suffers from a lack of good 21st century restaurant quality leadership and a bit of resting on their laurels. Hoping that the decent brew will drown the expectations for decent grub and service. I write this in the hopes that they will seriously consider making over the restaurant's kitchen and waitstaff training as well as consider bringing in some fresh young blood to bring this potentially great suburban pub up to snuff before it is too late. The Good: - Beer is decent - Bar is nice - esp. if you like to watch sports - Interior decor and architecture is very nice - Waitstaff are friendly. The Bad: - Waitstaff/ bar/ kitchen are slow. 15 minutes to get our beers served after ordering. Had to ask for water repeatedly, (waitress kept forgetting). - Food is not good - I came here 2 years ago and was served what was supposed to be cole-slaw but was simply bare shredded cabbage and carrots (no dressing). My waiter was oblivious and apparently so was the kitchen, I sent it back. To their credit, they were understanding and receptive to my gentle explanation of what cole-slaw is supposed to be. Fries are often soggy, meats are often overcooked, dry & flavorless. Sandwiches are fair. Apps are only unacceptable even compared to chain diners. -Booth seats are in dire need of replacing or at the very least repair. They sink in much too much, like sitting in a cushion topped trough. Thoroughly unimpressed with how the place has failed to keep up with the expectations of casual modern dining over the past decade.

Tried this place twice and was disappointed both times. The service was sub pare at best.... Would rather go down the street to TGI Fridays where the food is much better and not so overpriced...

My sister orchestrated a surprise 30th birthday party for my bro in law here which turned out to be a success. Living up in Broomfield, one's only resort for an adult party is basically a chain. After being deterred by Dave and Busters and their minimum purchase requirements, my sister settled on this CB and Potts to throw this party with 35 plus attendees. The management designated a large portion of the restaurant for the party that easily accommodated well over 30 partygoers. We were given multiple servers which allowed for much more attentive service. The servers were very gracious and agreed to many of our individual requests. Having not been to a CB and Potts since I turned 21, this allowed for me to try some of their new to date crafted beers. Based on the recommendation of our waitress I settled on the Buttface Amber and on my own accord the Hefeweizen as I'm a fan of wheat beers. Both were beers I would buy a six pack of. The Buffalo style chicken sandwich was pretty awesome as well. So much so that I tried adding its contents of Frank's Red Hot Sauce, pico de gallo, gorgonzola, and blue cheese mayo to my own chicken sandwiches that I make at home. Not as successful. The staff, management, food, and beverages all shaped the party into a success.

I went to lunch with my child. I ordered a child's meal that was overpriced as it is. We ordered the corn dog bites. When I cut them open, all said and done, he MAYBE got 1/2 a hot dog, the rest was a ton of bread. Instead of trying to be cute and clever, they should just make a normal corn dog. Then, at least, he would get a full hot dog. I got a call from the restaurant apologizing for our experience and offering a GC. I called back a few times, leaving messages every time for the manager that called me with no call back. Disappointing that food is overpriced and the management lacks with customer service and follow through.

Overall I was not impressed with this place. I had the whiskey chicken and hubbs had the "faburger" (Faberge). It was ham, bacon and an egg on a burger). He liked his burger, I was less than impressed with my meal. My veggies were cold and had no flavor. The cheddar mashed potatoes were just ok. The chicken was not great, lacked flavor. Everything needed salt and pepper and I never add those to my meals. The only really good thing was the mushrooms. The service was really great, very friendly. Great margarita but the bar staff didn't seem to know what was on their menu other than beers. The kitchen was slow. (We got there at 5 pm on a Saturday and it was very quiet.)

First time trying this location and I was very impressed. The food, the decor, and the quality of excellent crafted beer. The menu had a wide range of food to choose from. I really liked that had seasonal specials of food in a separate menu. Everyone at my table had a little bit different plate. I ordered the turkey Cobb sandwich with bacon, egg, and sliced avocado on it. The flavor of the turkey burger was delicious. The bacon was under cooked where as the egg was over cooked. The bun was cooked a little too long which caused the sandwich to fall apart after one bite. For my side I had a Caesar salad, which had too much dressing, parm, and a lot of bad lettuce. Everyone else's meals were delicious and prepared well. Bf had a plain burger and fries but mentioned that the burger had a lot of flavor. Dad had the faburge burger with sweet potato fries, and loved every bite of it. Mother had the mahi mahi tacos blackened and loved them as well. Their hand crafted beers are delicious as the summer wheat Barefoot Wit was spectacular. Their light beer was just as good too, Colorado Blonde. The service was very disappointing at the dinner table and at the bar. Our server forgot everything my mother asked for from a water to sour cream. The server only had two tables and clearly couldn't handle a slow Monday night. Once we moved over to the bar for cocktails and to watch the game the waitress was not very aware of her tables most of the time. Great place and great food. Will go back but hopefully get better service.

I wanted a burger and sweet potato fries so we stopped in here as it was the closest to our destination. Not too bad, but the fries were overly greasy and tasted a little freezer burnt. I should have known better from a previous visit, but now I realize this is not the place to satisfy my cravings. Maybe I'll try something totally different here another time.

This was our first time ever eating here and we weren't wowed by any stretch. We got the beer cheese dip which was totally tasty and creamy, but after that everything was kinda blah. I got the philly with a side salad and the salad was just lame. Hubby got the french dip and it ended up being comped out because his meat was so fatty and gross. The other diner we were with enjoyed her meal, but she is a regular here and this spot was her pick. We were also offer free dessert and we got the "ice cream cupcakes"... waaah waaaaah. The ice cream was freezer burnt and they were very flavorless. The server was so flakey and inattentive. I can't really see us coming back...

Visited Saturday at 10pm, 18 Jan 2013. It wasn't busy. "Westminster's Tallest Bar" -A Colorado brewpub chain. 6 CB&P flagship brews on tap: blonde, hefe, amber, pale, Red IPA and porter. Growlers-to-go are available. Standard pub fare menu. I ordered the Disorder Porter - tasty! A heavily chocolate porter. Beers are available in 18oz or 24oz servings. I also ordered the fried pickle chips, which were great. The kitchen must have changed the frying oil recently, because the pickles were crisp. It must have been happy hour, as both the 18oz BEER AND ORDER OF FRIED PICKLES COST A TOTAL OF $5.87. $2.99 for an 18oz craft beer and $2.50 for at least a half-order size app. I plan to return for late-night happy hours. Service was adequate. Ample parking. Definitely a sports bar. The bar area is easily double the size of the dining room. Many large television screens, including a huge screen at the center of the bar - see photo. Enjoy!

As I walked in this establishment I knew I was going strait for the Porter. Its hard to find a good Porter these days. Little did I know there Porter blew my brain balls. Darn good. I also had the wings. They were ok. Pretty cool inside. Id rock here again if im in the area

I would give a 5 star if the service was better. We come here often when we are willing to spend the money, and the service is always bad. The ignore you, never recommend anything, and always disappear for a long time. Their saving grace is the burgers. Holy yes. They ALWAYS cook it perfect. Plus they are large, and have amazing toppings. The Santa Fe Rodeo and Bourbon Black Jack are amazing. We have had several others, and some have even been removed from the menu. I have also had salads and appetizers here and they are so great. They are entrees on their own easily. Just thinking about it makes me want to go now.

The bar is huge and it's set up pretty nice. We aren't big drinkers but enjoy sitting in the bar area. The service has always been good. The food is typical bar type food. I wasn't too impressed. The Mozzarella sticks were really good. Very cheesy :)

Great food, great atmosphere, great service. There is nothing bad to be said at all about this restaurant. Legitimately one of the best hamburgers I've ever had. Wish yelp had a sixth star to give them.

Pott's used to be pretty awesome. The bar needs a bit of a make-over. There is a dishwashing station right in the bar dining room that is totally tacky and detracting from the experience. If you sit anywhere near it the noise and smell will ruin your dinner. Bartenders are lazy and can usually be found leaning back on the bar. Servers are slow and forgetful. The food is nothing like it was 1o years ago. Place went totally corporate and is mostly served out of a Sysco truck. The only reason I even go here is for just a little nostalgia and the Buttface Amber. Still the best amber around.

Come here during HH and have your beer and appetizer. It's a good place to watch sports during that time. The tables in the bar area are laid out in an awkward way. Service was fast and friendly. Food quality: 2 star Food price: 1 star Service: 3 star 3 dinners, 1 appetizer, 2 waters, 2 beers= $85 (worth about $40)

Really great good--I mean this is greasy yummo mess at it's best. Easily would have been 4.5-star but for the really lame service. Drinks ordered--forgotten. Slow in our food getting to us. Slow even to be treated and given water. We were ready to order before we even met our server. LOVED the good though! Try the Hillbilly Burger and the Pulled Pork Quesadillas. YUM!

Wow...I usually don't complain or give bad reviews (as you can see in my profile), I haven't even been on Yelp in months; but after yesterday I had to stop by and say something. I general, I am not a fan of gimmicky restaurants. No, I don't think you're special because you put a cuban sandwich on top of a burger. But, I had imbibed a little too much on Saturday night and was looking for a good Bloody Mary and some gut-busting food. My friends suggested CB & Potts. And yes, the Proud Mary was pretty good (Hence, the 2 stars instead of 1) Service: Our server was either brand new, hungover like myself, or just plain incompetent at his job. It took 30 minutes for him to approach the table and take our drink order, 20 minutes to bring our drinks and take our food orders, and 40 minutes or so to bring our check after eating. He was NOT overwhelmed by a large number of tables. I saw him serving 2 additional groups besides ours. We were sitting at a 4-top with six people and no one bothered to remove any of our dirty plates throughout the meal. Normally, I would not care. I mean, how petty is that? But as the food runners brought our lunch they stood by and watched as WE piled the dirty plates into the middle of the table, never to see them disappear until after we had paid the bill. Appetizer: Yum! We ordered cheese dip and pita chips. BUT, with our massive pile of tasty cheese dip we received 10 tortilla chips (oh yes, we counted) and 6 pieces of pita bread. Since no mortal man or woman could possibly consume that amount of cheese on 16 delivery devices, we asked for more pita chips. But, it was "against company policy" to provide more pita chips, so they brought a few more tortilla chips. Sigh... Meals: I ordered the American Burger and upgraded it to the Prime burger...this implies that I would receive a tasty patty made out of ground sirloin, rib-eye and other delicious cuts of beef. It was, and I AM NOT exaggerating here, the same burger that I remember from my junior high cafeteria on burger day. Do you remember those little craters of film that your would see on the patty? Do you remember how dry, overcooked and thin they were? Yes, this was my Prime burger that I paid $3 extra for and asked to be cooked medium rare. My friend across the table ordered a regular burger, and it was exactly the same. There was NO evidence that they had hand molded the burger or included anything other than grain filler and ground beef bits. They took it out of a package frozen, put it on an oily grill, and had the audacity to charge me $12 for a bad childhood memory. The only person that walked away feeling satisfied was my husband who ordered a calzone. The calzone from the back of the menu...fail... I know that all of this may sound petty, but I walked away from this experience feeling like I had been scammed. "Look at us! We have a really big ceiling! And TV's everywhere!! Our menu looks cool and we have all of these neat-o food items!!" They are obviously cutting costs and passing it off on the consumer. Do NOT waste your time here unless you are looking for a tasty bloody mary. You have been warned...

The beer wasn't the best I've ever had, but the hamburger sure was! I had a Reuben burger, which just sounded strange, but it was great! Pub chips were good, and the ice cream cupcakes were amazing! We ran up a pretty hefty bill because we were starving and ordered too much food. Prices are on par with other bar and grill type places.

I ordered the All American Burger and it was seriously, the BEST hamburger I've EVER had. I will go back again. Perfect place to watch the game and eat a burger. Beer wasn't too bad, either!

I vaguely remember liking CB & Potts back in the day...back before I became a self-proclaimed "foodie". I'm not sure if the food got worse, (and pricier), or if my standards of pubs have been raised due to places like Euclid and Rackhouse. Either way, this place did not meet my expectations for a quality brewery/pub. I can admit that the space is pretty cool, and must be an excellent place for March Madness watching. But their beers are just not that great, and I did try them all by ordering the taster. The Red Ale was just plain bad...with an even worse aftertaste. The food is pretty expensive, and nothing to write home about. I had the Monte Cristo, which was a good sized portion, but tasted too eggy. Instead of the sandwich being battered and fried (as it was described on the menu, I believe), they used french toast for the bread. Not my favorite. The sweet potato fries were pretty good, nice and crispy...but if I'm paying an extra 50 cents for them, I'd like a little bigger portion. I had half the fries that Bryan got with his burger. I thought I'd steal a couple from him, but his were grossly undercooked. Bleh. I left that place feeling disappointed with almost everything. I don't think I'll be going back there again. If I'm in the area and looking for food, I'd rather spend my money at Tokyo Joe's or even Qdoba.

Nice atmosphere but the food and service is inconsistent....most times good but occasionally not. Bartenders are usually good though and there is always a decent beer on tap. Prices are reasonable....especially at happy hour. Great place to watch sports!

I have been here several times. We have car club meetings here. I give the salads three stars although most everything else is only two stars and I would not order again. I keep making that mistake. It may be why the salads are expensive compared to the other items, because regulars know they are the only thing to eat. Staff is acceptable. It's an okay place.

This place needs to seriously get its act together. I've been in over a dozen times in the last 6 months and the service is always late. At this point, I blame management. The servers are always running around like crazy with a sense of depression. I've never seen the same server twice. The food is decent, the beer is good (could use more variety), the place has a nice atmosphere. Hey C B Potts Corporate: Get new management for this place so I can go back and not feel crappy about it.

Though I've eaten at this restaurant a few times I usually end up there just for drinks and snacks. Most of the time it's a really good time. Their food is upscale bar food. It's good, but I've had better. If it's guilty of anything it's lack of imagination. So you'll enjoy your meal but you'll forget about it as soon as you get to the car. Their Monte Cristo sandwich is a highlight, though, as it is actually deep fried and super-unhealthy (a good thing sometimes!). They have a great beer selection, though. They brew their own beer, and everything I've tried has been good. Nothing is going to knock your socks off, I don't think, though everything is fairly tasty. I'm a huge fan of their vanilla porter, a beer that they brew off of the menu. Though the last time I was there they were out of it and the bartender wasn't sure it was coming back. Say it isn't so! They have decent bar snacks. Nothing outstanding, and nothing horrible. The atmosphere can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on when you're there. The space is cavernous, and when it's full of people there is a really vibrant energy in the room. When there are only a few people, it's almost depressing. It's always a little too bright, and when it's empty it's just sad. There are lots of places to sit at the bar, and the bartender is almost always friendly and efficient. There are also lots of tall bar tables as well as cozy booths. It's a sports bar so there are huge TVs for watching whatever sporting event is on. There are also pool tables and other bar games to play. They have decent hours for bars up north in this area, so we end up there fairly regularly. On a very positive note, they sell growlers of beer (64-ounce glass bottles) that you can take home with you for under $10. They sell them up until last call, so in many cases they are still selling beer to go after the liquor stores are closed. Bonus!

On football Sundays, this place becomes CB & Pottsburgh-- THE bar for Pittsburgh Steeler fans! Do I wish I had a had a place to gather with my brethren and sistren that wasn't A) a ginormous chain establishment and B) out in North Bum-you-know-what? Oh yes. Yes I do. But we transplanted fans will take what we can get... and trust me, we could do a LOT worse (Swanky's, I'm talking to you and your sucky server and your icky, porny 'throoms). That said, CB & Pottsburgh is as Matt P. says-- it is what it is. The food is overpriced but decent (get the sweet potato fries). The beer is brewed on-site and tasty ($2.99 pints during the games-- and we're talking 20 oz. pints here). The staff is friendly and capable. What raises it from 3-star to 4-star status is that this is truly a kid-friendly place to bring your kids for a Steeler (or any other team-- they've got a bazillion TVs) game. There's a big, clean, carpeted corner (near the Pop-A-Shot) where kids ages 2-12 can run, jump, play tag, play ball, and generally have a good ol' time while their parents cheer their team to victory. Even better... the staff didn't once bat an eye at such unrestaurantly behavior! Now that ALONE is worth the drive to North Bum-you-know-what.

After my initial review I went back several times and had just terrible experiences. Underdone fries (both times), incorrect orders when they get to the table (both times), and to top it off slow service. One of these was a lunch experience and one was a dinner so I do not believe that it is just one crew is making the experience a miserable one.

Came here for Game 6 of Lakers v.s. Rockets and, despite having the Lakers lose, I had a pretty decent time at CB & Potts. The food was okay -- I got a turkey havarti sandwich, which I thought had too much mayo that overpowered the rest of the sandwich. It came with the waffle fries which I found pretty tasteless. My friend got the veggie burger and hated it -- said it was completely undercooked. I didn't try it though, so that's completely hearsay. Our waitress was horrible. She barely came by our table and wasn't friendly at all. One thing I loved & the one reason why I had a decent time here (since it obviously wasn't the food or service) is their Butt Face beer. I'm a HUGE Fat Tire fan and I never thought I'd love another amber beer the way I love Fat Tire... until now. I had 3 glasses of the Butt Face and I could've downed 3 more. I wish they sold this beer in SF. Anyways... crappy food, crappy service, but GREAT BEER. Also a great place to watch a game.

I was very disappointed in our last visit to CB & Potts. The service was pretty horrible, but it wasn't the waiter's fault. It was the hostesses and manager's problem. We had called ahead and said that the wait would be about 10 minutes. We were there in about 5 minutes and checked in when we got there. The wait ended up being almost 50 minutes. Ridiculous! They didn't even offer us free appetizers or drinks. They screwed up and know it. They tried to blame it on people at a table taking too long, but they sat many parties ahead of us without even trying to find us another table. The beer was pretty decent, but the food was no better than any other big chain microbrewery/american food restaurant. The only other thing was we didn't see our waiter that much. He was busy working a lot of tables, I think more than a waiter or watress should have to work. I have been here before and the experiences had better service, but this time just took the cake. It will be a while before we go back. There are a bunch of better options (both beer and food) in this area.

Great pub atmosphere! Wonderful local brewery; got to taste few of them, and they have a sampler as well. Food was good, but not overwhelming in originality or flavor. Service was slow the night I went; seemed the place was understaffed. Excellent place to go to watch the game with chums, but not a place for a quiet dinner. Over all, not bad. I would want to go again to give them a chance to make up for the slow service.

Food sucks here. Tried the calamari and it tastes like something you would get at McDs. Ordered the Salmon hummus salad and asked for the salmon to be rare, they bring it back well done. They took it back, but the salmon they brought back was nothing great either. I has asked for a side of boiled vegetables that they have on the menu - the plate had some cold beans. Overall very bad food. Service was decent.

Food & beer was good but service was very weak. Server only came by a couple times during our time there. I watched her stack dirty dishes on 2 of the tables beside us the whole time we were there. The tables never got cleaned until I mentioned something to the manager that was holding up the wall watching the game!! needless to say I won't be back!

This place is solid and consistent. Is it the absolute best food and beer I've ever eaten? No. But it's decently good each and every time. We can tote the kids along with us, or hang out in the bar. The staff are always extremely friendly and to me, that makes a world of difference. Tonight, the bartender was especially helpful and attentive. When we asked to order an appetizer that was on the happy hour menu, she explained that it wasn't something they would normally do, but she checked with the kitchen and cheerfully reported back that the chef would be happy to oblige our request. We also had the wings which were super-tasty! The good service here stands out and bumps this place from 3 to 4 stars.

As funny as this sounds, service is better on the weekends than it is during the weekday when there is little to no traffic. Food is good and atmosphere is never without a dull moment. I have been to this location many times and so far so good. Like someone else said, it is another chain BUT feels like a smaller chain than normal. Staff is friendly and the home brew is pretty good too!

This was my first time eating at CB Potts. Overall it was an ok experience. I had the salmon - simply grilled. It was prepared well and I enjoyed it. I followed it up with their key lime cheesecake which I enjoyed. The downside to the evening was the service. The hostess seemed like she had more important things to do then seat us. Our waitress was average. I had to ask for refills instead of her just bringing them or even asking me if I wanted one. In My opinion it took to long for her to take our order as well considering the place wasn't that busy. Overall I give it 3 stars just because of the food. If the service had been better I would have gone 4.

I live in the neighborhood so I am always willing to give it another chance. But something have been constant over the last five years. The service is poor, particularly in the bar area. It does not matter if the place is packed (understandable) or if it empty, the service is always poor. When my table is full of empty glasses for 10 minutes, maybe you should look in? I have sat in the restaurant area a couple times and the service is better. The food is generally good which prevent this place from getting one star. The prices do not help, I saw a special on the board for $3.99 Corona's. Yeah, that's a deal. Hire a few professional waiters and waitresses, plus bartenders who pay attention to their jobs and not the girls working, have some decent specials and this place could be my regular watering hole. As it is, I try to avoid it.

Go to drink, not to eat. Nice and affordable brews. Food is sad but on par with the other chain type places. The thing that is really nice is their discount late night food and drink menu. Nice pool tables and far enough away from downtown so that its not a testosterone fight fest on weekends.

I am a little biased in this review because I had the rare and lovely experience of dining with my two teen-aged sons....(17and 19) who I rarely get to see or sit down to dinner with. My 17 year old was in starvation mode, so the food seemed to take forever to get to the table. My youngest ordered the calzone and a side of fries...he said he enjoyed the fries more, although he and his brother, who ordered the fish tacos...BOTH cleaned their plates. I had the big red...too hoppy for me. And a rueben..meh...it was okay. Nothing to write home about. We sat in the bar area (before nine you can with minors...) which had the big tv's and the games and just had a more "fun" atmosphere... Our server was okay, the night there was slow. So, all in all...good times. And my sons actually TALKED to me. Maybe the magical CB Potts helped. I dunno..whatever it takes !

Decent beer but that's about it. I took a bunch of customers to this place as it is one of the only places that could accommodate a group of 6-8 up north and close to I25. Service was semi-lame and very unenthusiastic. Portions are small for the price, food just seemed lackluster. Lately I have been writing good reviews of places even if they are chains. This place lives up to the big corporate unfeeling, formulamatic system - with OK beer.

More like 3.5 stars, but I chose to round it up for one reason and one reason only... I really like their Big Horn Hefeweizen. CB & Potts is what it is and that's just a typical chain brewery. The food is decent, my favorite item is the Turkey Havarti Melt (add some avocado). The atmosphere is hit or miss. I've been there at times when it's hoppin', usually there's a game on, everyone is getting loud, and it can be a lot of fun. Last time I was there the most entertaining thing that happened was a large bachelor party all wearing matching shirts and carrying around blow up dolls (also in the matching shirts) came through the door and harassed everyone one in their path. This is a fun place to go watch the game or late night after work. They've got a hand full of huge booths, plenty of bar space, and plenty of cocktail tables. They also have a couple pool tables and some yummy cocktails. When I'm not in the mood for the heffy I go for a tropical tea they can make you ANY flavor! It's also easy to accommodate large groups there as long as it's not too packed. CB & Potts is what it is.

File under: it is what it is. Corporate chain brewpub, yeah yeah yeah, yadda yadda... That being said, C.B. & Potts has some good things going for it. The beer. It's good. I'm a hoppy beer guy, and their Big Red IPA and 71 Pale are both really good. My wife likes the Buttface Amber, and I have to admit, I just enjoy hearing her order it. The food. Upscale bar grub that hits more than it misses. They make a killer fish and chips (go for the cheaper cod over the halibut), but the Amber Ale Chicken sandwich is my fave. They load so much stuff on it (slaw, onion strings, bbq sauce) that I dare you to try and eat it with your hands and NOT have it dissolve into a sloppy mess by the end. Normally, this kind of thing bugs me, but it's good enough that I don't mind being relegated to use a knife and fork. Family friendly. They have one of the best kids' menus I've seen. Sure, they have the standard box mac'n'cheese and chicken fingers, but they also offer penne alfredo and a junior portion of fish and chips. Add to that, on Thursdays kids eat for a buck. But wait, THERE'S MORE! Also on Thursdays, there's a balloon animal guy who comes in and makes fantastic balloon critters for the kids (he works on tips). Big ups to C.B & Potts for allowing this, as it not only makes the kids happy, but works as leverage for mom and dad to keep them in line. "If you want a balloon penguin, you better stop teasing your brother!" Good Beer + Docile Kids = Happy Dad Cheers!

I set up a get together for some business friends and I to meet here. The bar area was great, there was a long doublesided bar style table that was perfect and it wasn't all dark and hard to see. The food however was not to good. My burgers buns were soggy and a couple others complained about the quality as well.

been here several times...my coworker lives close, so this is the closest thing we have to hang out at.... food is decent, i remember the appetizer sampler thing being huge. 3 of us couldn't finish it. service, good. pool tables, some of the best i've shot on in the thornton area. i did get laughed at by one of the employees (turns out he's the 'brewmaster' guy...) for drinking coors light...isnt coors light what drives denver/colorado's economy?!!? screw you. one of the last times we were there, they had some trivia nite, with a live DJ/announcer guy...pretty fun, winner gets a bartab.

Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, and good prices. Overall, I think this a very nice place to hang out, but whenever I go the place is a ghost town. Maybe I've just been unlucky when I visit but I find myself becoming slightly bored when I'm there. There is the perk of the big TV's though.

3.5 stars. This review is based on one visit. I wasn't too hungry so I ended up ordering the bread pudding and sharing it with the rest of the party. It was huge (4+ adults shared it) and definitely worth the calories. One of my dining companions ordered blackened fish and he said it was done just right and delicious. Others ordered pizza, burgers, and chicken salad, all very good. The place is also a brewery and has decent beer. They also have trivia night with prizes. This Colorado based chain is several states including IL, WA, OR, IN, and WY.

Typical chain. Food's okay. Service is pretty decent. We were here and in a hurry - the server took our order quickly and got our food fast. Another time I was here and we wanted to linger and chat. Server left us alone. Not a bad place if you're in the area and need something reliable.

When this place first opened, I was living a few blocks away so I pretty much lived there. Originally thier staff was great (not to mention really hot), the food was solid and the beer was very good. Since then, it has really been a slow, constant downhill slide into mediocrity. Nothing is really terrible, but nothing is great either. I will say that I want that cool boat that hangs above the bar area so bad that it gives me chills.

I used to spend a lot of time here because a buddy of mine used to work here. I still pop in every now and then and since my first visit in 2003, it has remained consistent. I decided it was time to write a review. The appetizers are tasty, the burgers are delicious, the portion sizes are huge and it's very easy to get stuffed because you can't stop eating! The drinks are plentiful in variety and all of them are delicious! I had a blueberry raspberry martini last night that I fell in love with! I text messaged myself the ingredients so I could re-create it at home. They also came up with a new way to make nachos which I also sampled last night. Gorganzola, bleu & asiago cheeses melted on top of thick cut potato chips sprinkled with green onions & bacon. OH MY GOD! ...it was great! I also love the fact that there is a large, separate bar area. Lots of TVs for all the games that can be on at one time and it's separate from the regular dining area so you don't have to put up with screaming kids. It's a great "adult" section. The only major downfall of the place is the ladies bathroom. EVERY single time I've been there it has been dirty. Toilet paper all over the floor, wet counter tops and smudges and drops of unmentionable substances on the toilet seats. It makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. This is the only reason I didn't give the place 5 stars. It's a disappointment to have to limit my drink intake and the amount of time spent there just to avoid using the bathroom.

  • Jake S.

Just another extremely average place. The beer is average, the food is average, the prices are average, etc. There's nothing that stands out about CB & Potts as either really good or really bad. So if you're looking for average, this is your place.

    (3)
  • Heidi H.

Great service, Amazing food! Tried the hillbilly burger at the suggestion of our server. It was phenomenal. Had to wait a tiny bit for our app and they comped it for us. We never even complained or anything. Bonus: awesome Playlist throughout the meal.

    (4)
  • Lauren L.

  • Jonathan K.

YUM!

I ordered the All American Burger and it was seriously, the BEST hamburger I've EVER had. I will go back again. Perfect place to watch the game and eat a burger. Beer wasn't too bad, either!

Bonus!

been here several times...my coworker lives close, so this is the closest thing we have to hang out at.... food is decent, i remember the appetizer sampler thing being huge.

Just another extremely average place. The beer is average, the food is average, the prices are average, etc. There's nothing that stands out about CB & Potts as either really good or really bad. So if you're looking for average, this is your place.
