I had the seasonal beer, scottish. Excellent! Dark, smooth and not bitter. I had the BLT with no T and it was delish! Perfect amount of greens and the garlic is not overwhelming. My gf had the Rustica and of course I had a piece, also delish! The artichoke hearts were cooked perfectly and the capicollo had a little kick of heat. This place deserves all the 5 stars. No dessert for us this time. If we ever come through here again, we'll stop back by for the beer and pizza and hopefully dessert.

Just a wonderful place! My husband and I go there several times a month. We are so lucky to have it here in Montrose and one of the top restaurants in our area! Keep up the great work!

This place is great! Just passed through for business and lucked into this place. The staff was friendly and super helpful. The pizza ingredients were fresh and the pizza was delicious! I had the pizza with olives, pep, sausage, and olives. It sounds normal but it was anything but. If I'm back I'll be eating here.

If these guys were here in Montrose back in the 90s, I never would have left!!! Great beer and pizza! Eat and drink all the things...!

Ate here while visiting for the holidays. I had the gluten-free pepperoni and goat cheese pizza and it was good. The regular pizza and bread sticks looked yummy. I would definitely come back!

I love this place. I've never had a meal that I didn't like. The best pizza in the world. It's not all that big but they manage with great customer service. Every time I eat there I want to go back the next day. Best place in Montrose to eat period.

I decided to make my own pizza and was not disappointed. The prices are very reasonable. The next time I am in Montrose, I will be back.

Finally, a really good pizza in Montrose. Actually the best I've had from Arizona to Oregon to Colorado. Great beer.

Delicious pizzas, fresh ingredients, served quickly. Beer from local brewpubs. Reasonably priced. The best pizza place in Montrose, hands down.

I'm very picky about my pizza, and while not the best I've ever had, it is the best on the western slope by a mile. Very good, small, boutique pies with a nice creative flair. I often swing by on my way into town for a roasted garlic and a margarita pizza to take home. Affordable, and consistant quality so far. Well done!

It's nice to see a new pizza place open up in Montrose, brick oven and quality ingredients makes this my favorite pizza place in town. I have been looking for a good place to grab a pizza since a local place closed last June, the creative combination of flavors and quality on their pies is what puts them in from of the competition. If anything my only complaint would be the seasoning, but its nothing a little grated parm or sea salt to taste can't fix. I will be recommending it to my friends and family, hope they thrive in little and slow Montrose.

Best pizza in town ! Service is great as well as atmosphere. What a pleasant addition to the down town in Montrose ....

The service and the food are great here. It's one of those places that everyone is willing to help you have a good meal. The pizza was some of the est I've had in a long while mainly because of the thin crust and perfect amount of toppings. Also, serving up local and their own brews doesn't hurt either. Be sure to come early or wait a bit because this place is usually hoppin!

It's a fairly well accepted, universal fact that pizza and beer pair well, no matter what the styles involved. Colorado Boy presents this marriage in its finest element, starting with high-altitude, Rocky Mountain H2O, and finishes in a clean, welcoming atmosphere. Their careful crafting produces some of the finest essential human liquid and solid nutrients available in the area. On occasion, they offer a smoked salmon pizza that will change the way you think of the flat dish. At other times, they tap a porter so dark and rich that it could replace your mid-day cup of coffee. One of the best dis-similarities to other breweries is the flexibility in the sizes of beer they provide. This ranges from 6 oz. to growler, so lunch doesn't need to leave you tipsy or wearing any evidence back to the office. Yet, you can pick up enough to fuel an evening of poker or a ball game. Overall, this is a first class joint for either, or both... but preferably both.

Had lunch here. This is a cute little microbrewery that serves (almost exclusively) perfect artisan pizzas. The lunch clientele seemed to be made up of people from the town hall (located directly behind the restaurant.) The cutest touch: my check was brought inside a book. The waitress included stickers for the restaurant as well. Awesomeness. Make this your lunch stop after visiting Black Canyon of the Gunnison, stroll through historic Montrose, and stop by CJs fly shop for an awesome selection of inexpensive tackle (and yarn?!)

Great local pizza dive!!! Great vibe and service. THIS place will custom build your pizza just they way you want it. Sitting at the pizza bar allows a first hand view of what's going on. Nothing pre-made here!! If I were king for a day I change one thing....the cooks poor orange uniforms!!! Again great vibe and food. I liked the menu and how the waitress brings you your check. She brings it to you in a old book. This is an original idea for me. Thanks Montrose Colorado Boy pizza joint!!

The pizza was pretty delicious. The service was fast and friendly. Our drinks stayed filled. Cute atmosphere on Main Street. I had the Rustica and the Molto Carne. The crust was crispy and chewy at the same time. They put on plenty of toppings and were generous with the cheese. I would come here again when traveling.

Surprisingly good Salad. I love that they do individual pizzas. The crust is nice and thin and tastes homemade. Not a lot of seating here so be prepared to wait. But they do have their own micro brewery so I suggest a pint or two of that. Enjoy. It is the best pizza in town. They have another location in Ridgeway that is awesome.

Just driving through Montrose on a fam vacation and stopped in here based on the Yelp reviews. We were seated fairly quickly (smaller place) and received great service from a fabulous server! Had two pizzas (Garlic and Rustica) and a caesar salad; for dessert we had the Nutella pizza. All were very good! Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

This was a great stop on our 2,500 mile journey. I would have given it a 5, but no spirits. Had the pizza with the fennel sausage with a Caesar. I loved them!

Lasagna to die for and the garlic pizza is out of this world. Where to start... The place can't seat all that many, but they manage. The service was attentive and capable of working our group of 13. The brick oven although gas fired, not wood, makes a nice crispy crust. The vegetable lasagna has a great mix of flavors, including the pesto top sauce. Good thing it comes with a breadstick as you will want to get up all the sauce. The homemade cheesecake is fabulous, simply great.

I am so happy that Montrose finally got a good pizza place! Colorado Boy is an awesome restaurant with a simple yet appealing menu, delicious food, and great service! We went there right when it opened on a Saturday after our friends (east coast pizza snobs) recommended it to us as a new eatery in Montrose. Even though we were first in line, about four families came in right after us, a good sign for sure. My boyfriend and I got the breadsticks (super delicious, not greasy, and comes with tasty sauce), the margherita, and the Mediterranean. Colorado Boy makes their own mozzarella from scratch, so the margherita was to die for. I sat there literally groaning at the deliciousness. The Mediterranean was also tasty, and our friends at the table also gobbled down their selections. Some of our friends got salads with their pizza and said they were great. The best part about this place is how reasonably priced it is for the quality. Our meal was about $25 with two drinks and a tip, and that's pretty good considering we had leftovers. The place also has great lunch specials, and they change up pizza specials. We all got our food within 10 minutes, and you can tell the service is fast and polite at this place considering how quickly it filled. This place is pretty simple and rustic, but that's keeping with Italian tradition. Their pizzas aren't greasy and won't make you feel disgustingly full after a few slices. Their ingredients are fresh, and they even make their own mozzarella; you can't beat that! I've had pizza all over Europe and the U.S., but I have to say Colorado Boy can compete with the best of them!

Colorado Boy far surpassed my expectations. I learned of it while driving in to Montrose after a long day in the outdoors, and had to try it given all the great reviews. I arrived exactly at 9pm as they were closing, and they were so kind to accommodate me. The ambiance and decor are wonderful, the service was stellar, and the food phenomenal. I liked the diversity of pizzas, and I must say my pizza was one of the best I ever had. Thin crust, quality ingredients, bursting with flavor. What really stuck out also was how great the hostess, servers, and cooks were. Prices are VERY reasonable too for what you get. Colorado Boy is awesome. I highly recommend it.

Been to Italy and really miss authentic pizza. Found it here. Classic is my fav. Super thin crust cooked in a pizza oven, homemade mozzarella, fresh basil. Kid's get a little ball of dough to play with while they waited all of 8 minutes for their $3.95 pizza to arrive! Can't beat that! Lots of sauce on the kid's however, so if they are "messy eaters" you may ask for light sauce. Locally made beer (though I don't drink beer hubby said it was fantastic). Happy sigh. :)

The good was great bit would appreciate a wider choice if options, especially pasta. It was a bit noisy as well but we still had a great time! We will definitely be back.

a fun little joint on the main drag. the pizza is brick oven cooked and very unique. everything seems to have a little spice to it from the olive oil, the salad dressing, the pizza sauce, and the pepperoni. they have three handcrafted beers on tap and i enjoyed the blonde which is an unusual choice for me.

I found this excellent pizza brew bar while on a trip for work. Coming from Denver the bar was set high, and higher after spending a few years on the northern east coast. They have pizza issues up there. Period best dine in pizza in the surrounding area. Compares with my all time fav on the east coast. The finish on the crest is epic. Keep in mind the hand crafted beer beats a coors light every time. I come from a decade+ of home brewing and just having the benefit to enjoy a casked beer is worth it every time. This is the formula for success Keep it up Can't wait till I'm am I'm in town to hit you up!

The pizza tasted amazing! I'd definitely go back if I'm ever around Montrose. The service was fast and nice. Our drinks were always filled. And you have a lot of options for toppings on your pizza. Absolutely 5 star.

Great pizza, decent beer. Not enough dark beers! Irish read had good flavor. Chili garlic oil was great, garlicky spicy goodness!

I love Italian food! Colorado Boy is a delight and adventure the minute you enter their downtown Montrose, CO location. Even the short wait (5 min. of forecast 10 on busy Sat. dinnertime) is well worth the anticipated dining experience. Last evening, we both had Calezone (one veggie and the other with chicken which we shared). Yummy and too much to eat at one sitting. Service is very friendly and people watching a lot of fun. On site brewed beer or well presented wine list may complement a variety of carefully prepared Italian items. Desserts (rarely any room) are wonderful, if you dare. A wonderful family experience!

The craft beer is great. I am partial to the Irish red, it's crisp and clean. The pizza is amazing and the price is beyond reasonable. Any person that says this place is not the best is a dame lier.

Just had lunch today for the first time at the Montrose location. We usually frequent the Ridgway location, 30 miles to the south, as that's where we live. Ridgway more of an intimate brew pub with pizza than a larger pizza place with beer like Montrose. Same great brews in Montrose, good service, great pizza and open for lunch. Ridgway is more of a Cheers place where the locals gather and visitors discover when visiting the town.

The appetizers and pizza were awesome. the waitress was awesome. She knew a lot about the menu and helped us pick just the right items for us. the prices were very reasonable and the beer was a good price too. The restaurant was nicely decorated. you will not be disappointed here.

Montrose was never on my radar? I mean I've driven past it enough times but never really took the time to take a look around. Dumb mistake on my part. Take for example this little gem of a pizza joint and brewery. Loved the caprese salad we started with and the Calda pie we had was very tasty! Combined with a tasty IPA (tough decision. I sampled two other beers that were equally as solid before going with the hops.) Glad we decided to try something a little different than our normal G-junct layover this year on our way to Telluride!

i went here on Tuesday for dinner, dined in with a friend. Loved the atmosphere, server was a little cool but in this area i wasnt surprised. The service was quick, the food fresh and tasty. reasonable prices too. i posted on Face Book and raged about this place. was a def redo well, i went in today to get take out for work. Ordered the same thing..WHAT A DISSAPOINTMENT. My pizza was burned! bitter to the taste. The salad tasted much different. oh my. I have not been able to eat my lunch. and AM ANNOYED because where i work at night, there are no options for food. MAYBE I WILL GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE..it wasnt busy...i dont know what the problem is...but overall, good food, wine and beer...

It's a wonder why there are any other pizzerias in Montrose. There is not another place I can think of not only in Montrose, but in Western Colorado that can compete with the quality of food, the expectancy and attentiveness of the service, and the prices at Colorado Boy. Bottom line, I had the Pizza Margherita and it was the most authentic Neapolitan style pizza I have had since I left Italy in 2003. I was blown away, it has all the nuances that make true Italian pizza, the bite of fresh tomatoes dominating the sauce, soaking into a semi soft crust of 00 flour with a slight char from the oven. All of the flavors are able to come through in their turn and not one flavor dominates the palette, extremely well done.

Just flew in from Georgia and decided to grab a quick bite before continuing our journey to Crested Butte - this place way exceeded our expectations - pizza was wonderful, carrot cake cupcake (very very good!) and husband said the Irish Red was off the chain! And last, but certainly not least, the service was awesome - friendly and very accommodating!

Great Italian restaurant highly recommend the lasagna but don't get garlic as a topping on your pizza also customer service is really good and when they give you the check they put it in a really cool old book instead of a mater card tray. It also has a veery nice atmosphere.

I'm not sure which was better: the food, the staff or the beer! This place is a MUST if you're visiting the Montrose area! We will absolutely be back!

We were pleasantly surprise at how good the pizza was. We ordered the molto and ordered another with our own creation of toppings, all were fresh and we couldn't stop eating the crust. Along with their signature brews and ambiance we will definitely make this a recommendation to our friends.

Low gluten pizza is very tasty! Fresh ingredients and good service. Worth the stop! We were glad when this place opened because it gives us a good reason to come and shop downtown! Hot oil is a great addition and was very good over gluten free pizza:-)

The food was amazing. However that can never make up for bad service. We were sat right away but then sat there for 20 minutes before asked what we wanted to drink. There were eight servers and only four tables seated. After another 10 minutes a different waitress brought us our drinks and took our order. A different waitress after another 20 minutes brought us our salad and breadsticks. The pizza came out at the right time but by yet another waitress. During this time we were never asked if we needed anything and our drink glasses laid empty. It wasn't until a waitress who appeared to have just started her shift walk over and asked if we want a refill. And guess what, 10 minutes later after we were done eating a new waitress/ bartender brought us our drinks. Finally our original waitress came with the check never asking how the food was or if we wanted any dessert.

Wonderful place to eat, they are incredibly friendly and make some solid pizza as well as huge calzones. Be sure to try the Nutella pizza for desert, you won't be disappointed by the concoction of pizza crust, Nutella and powdered sugar.
