This place is outstanding. True authentic Mexican food which isn't so easy to come by anymore. I had one of the best chile rellenos I have ever had and I'm picky when it comes to them. First of all they're the real kind; a whole chile. They smother them in a tomatillo sauce you can tell is homemade. They're prices are great too! Can't wait to come back!

Best food I've had in awhile besides my moms!!! The food is always great and the plate is always hot. The guy that took my order was kinda weird but funny at the same time he kept saying alright cool!!! But other than that I will be back for sure!!!

What a great find! This is a classic example of a hole in the wall/don't judge a restaurant by its exterior situation. The menu is broad and a lot to take in for a newcomer, especially as you had to crank your neck up to read it. I ordered the carnitas, al pastor and asada tacos with a side of guacamole and chips to share with the hubs. He ordered the chicken enchiladas plate with a drink and the whole bill was a touch over $19. My favorite taco was the al pastor followed closely by the carnitas. The tortillas were soft and perfect and the salsa was knock your socks off - both in spice and flavor. My husband had huge chunks of chicken in his enchiladas and most of it was breast meat. The rice was bland for my taste (I usually like my rice with a lot of tomato and chicken stock flavor). And last but not least the guacamole was an unadulterated version without the need for a lot of flavor add ins. We wiped the bowl clean. This is absolutely going to be a new spot for us to keep exploring the menu.

Just to note we have stopped going here due to the quality of food. I am not sure if they changed ownership or what but the last couple of times that we have stopped the food has been horrible.

Pretty traditional Mexican food...as in authentic. This is not the ritz, they have real Mexican coca cola made with cane sugar, they supposedly make their own tortillas...The quality of meats though is not the greatest, tacos only come in corn tortillas, & I saw some flies... It was ok.

Taqueria Ranchero Alegre 3 doesn't have the greatest location in southern Loveland, CO, however this fact is overshadowed by the fact that they offer great food at low prices. The restaurant caters to guests during Lent, offering shrimp as well as their normal menu. The atmosphere was a little less than desirable with the floors lacking proper maintenance, and the TV being a little loud. The walls are decorated in cheap Mexican décor, but the table seemed very clean. Overall, I would say the looks may not be great, but the best tacos are always found in smaller places like this.

Amazing tacos! In our two trips here we've tried the asada, carnitas, barbacoa, and pastor tacos, and all were great! Very authentic flavors. Ever since our first taco, we have found it hard to stop thinking about them, and can't wait to go back!

Regretfully, this place has been going downhill. The former cashiers were friendly but have been replaced with grumps. The food quality has gone downhill from consistently authentic and very good to inconsistent and sometimes fatty or chewy.

I love this place! The tortas are great and food is very authentic! Staff is friendly! Tostadas and tacos are also a big plus! :)

This lovely little business is down the road from us. Yes, it is annoying to reach from our side of the street. We have to make a U-turn to get there, or go kind of far out then turn around. Really it's not worth explaining that part. Their food is delicious and plentiful...and authentic. The service is pretty good. Nothing fantastic, but certainly not bad. They aren't rude. That is saying a lot! They are fast and courteous. No frills. The seating area is fairly ample with bright, colorful Mexican decor. In any event, I'm a fairly tough Mexican food reviewer. I've eaten some pretty amazing Mexican and Tex-mex in Texas, New Mexico and Colorado and I think this is still a really solid Mexican restaurant. In this area and beyond.

When this place first opened, it was really good! The tacos tasted great, the food seemed fresh and the prices werent bad. Well, my last experience was less than appetizing to say the least. I ordered a smothered chicken burrito. The chicken tasted like it was still alive ... not to say that I have ever tasted a live chicken, but if I had, I'm sure this burrito would have mimicked it. The chicken had bones, fat and was very chewy. I literally got qweezy. The green chili is not bad, but it did not make up for the gross chicken. I have not gone back since.

Eaten here 7-8 times. I usually get breakfast burritos (I'd avoid the sausage) and they are not bad at all if you add the salsa. My fav is bacon. However, last time was the last time. Got the normal, but added rice and beans. Big mistake. The beans tasted like smoky, burnt fat. They couldn't have tasted worse. I ate 2 bites only because I had to know if I just got a bad bite or something, but it was too late. Reality hit my guts a few hours later. It wasn't that I felt so sick, but just really, really, fatted out. Like when you eat a whole bag of doritos and chase it with a huge milkshake. Ugh...needless to say, I didn't feel well for the rest of the day.

Wow. I'm not sure what all of the super-positive reviews on this place are for. First, the atmosphere... We were a bit surprised that this wasn't a "sit down" restaurant. They have seating, but it's an order at the counter facility. The restaurant itself is fairly rough around the edges (holes in wall, missing trim, peeling paint...). We weren't expecting elegance, but we thought it would be on par with something that wasn't fast food. Second, the food. Not bad but nothing to get excited about. It's flavor is ok but it's too spicy. The guac is about what you can buy in the grocery deli. The horchata is out of a machine... The staff was friendly, but we likely won't be back. There was nothing compelling here.

This is my favorite mexican restaurant in Loveland hands down. The carne asada...OMG...you have to have it! The green salsa...heaven I tell you! I bring in my own empty bottle and they will fill it for around $3.50. I use it on everything at home. YUMMY! My kids love the carne asada tacos. They always ask where we are going back. A big plus is that they have glass bottled sodas (Fresca, Juaritos,Coke) and my kids really like that. It's a small family restaurant which also appeals to me. I go there at least 3 times a month.

This now my favorite place in northern colorado. This the most traditional mexican food i have tasted compared to all other locations. Its not how good the locations looks or anything its how good the food is. Iv gone to mexican inn and their food was sh**, i will never go back. I went to Los padres in loveland and the location was good looking, but their salsa overall tasted like salt water ,no flavor whats so ever .

Ordered 2 tacos, made 4. Can't beat that. The Carne Asada was my favorite. The chicken was tasty too with lots of cheese. Don't forget to smother your food with green sauce, it's the bomb! Customer service was great. The place was clean.

This place is a dive for sure no thrills or great service. Just average service without a smile. Food was little bland, but fresh. Will not return but another taco joint off my list.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
